Larson Steakhouse is highly rated for its fresh seafood, especially oysters and uni pasta. Customers rave about the happy hour specials and knowledgeable staff. Some find the outdoor seating chilly and the service slow at times. A few reviewers disliked the seafood pasta.

One of my favorite places for seafood! Unfortunately most of the locations were shut down during the pandemic. So I’m glad we still have this one! Oysters are always fresh and yummy, also love their happy hours) Uni pasta creamy, saucy and good, lobsters are very affordable, great appetizers options. It outside spot, so of it’s really hot outside: be averse of that there is only shade. I love this place)
EMC is my go to spot for oysters and raw seafood. Plus they have happy hour all day!! $2 oysters!! Who can beat that!? I usually go when Erika is working! She gives us great service, is very attentive and makes us the best drinks! Will go back.
I'm so excited to find this place. Shrimp tacos are awesome. I shared a bowl of claim chowder. The staff but them in two separate bowls which were almost full. I am going for mother's day. They have a pasta dish with uni. I hear its the best. Can't wait. Yeah
I know I have reviewed them before but I feel the need to update due to the pandemic. Ok so EMC or (Eat More Clams) is one of my FAVORITE restaurants and is a go-to for us for dinner. The only reason I am giving them 4/5 stars instead of a perfect 5/5 is because of the way tables are requested. They don't allow reservations. Why is this irritating you may ask? Well for those of you who have never eaten at EMC it is located in the Village shopping center which is all outdoors. The entire restaurant is open-air, making it a prime candidate for dinner due to all the restrictions during the pandemic. So the wait time regularly exceeds 1 hour. Not only do they not allow reservations in advance but they will not let you even call ahead to put your name on the list. Meaning you must arrive at the restaurant, put your name on the list and then wait an hour. This wouldn't be so bad if you could enjoy a drink while you wait, but due to the pandemic, there are no bars. SO you can see how this would propose a problem? THAT BEING SAID. Everything else is amazing. The food is ALWAYS delicious, the seafood out of this world fresh and the selection of oysters is top-notch. Personally I recommend the Kusshi oysters if you like raw oysters, if not then you still have many other options. My second favorite dish is the Ahi Tuna salad, and for drinks, my go-to is the Bubble and Grand (so delicious) The staff are all well trained, friendly, and knowledgeable and the drinks are always perfect as well. Like I said I would easily give this place 5/5 if they would simply fix the reservation system. Cheers!
Went to the bar and had food and drinks James was our server he was great!
Stopped in during happy hour to sit at the bar for drinks and $1 oysters. Our server was attentive and delightful; she even brought me a heater when she overheard me comment to my friend that I was cold. The oysters were some of the best I've had in the last six months; enormous and tasty Fannie Bays, and a tremendous bargain for a buck a piece.
Excellent spot for locals! I frequent regular hours happy hour and it's the bomb dot com. Gets super busy and crowded on hot days in the valley. When crowded, the service suffers but the prices are worth the wait. Also dog friendly. Annoying when there's an annoying owner that won't watch the dog but fabulous with good dogs and better owners.
me and my boo went here yesterday for lunch and we really enjoyed our food. I'll def go back. excellent wine choices, the shrimp garlic noodles were amazing. I loved the brussel sprouts and seafood fried rice as well.
They now have their Happy Hour menu all day which is such a great deal! I love the Happy Hour fish tenders! I also love all their fried rice options on the regular menu. A big portion so it is great to take half home for another meal! Definitely try this place! Service was great today, too!
Came on a Monday evening and had a nice meal at the bar. They have happy hour Monday through Thursday from 11:30 to close. Chef's choice oysters were $2 and did not disappoint. It had been awhile since I've had a properly cleaned oyster, so thank you for that 🙏 We tried the soft-shell crab sliders (crispy and flavorful), crab fried rice (the egg in it was seasoned - the rice needed a little something but it was good) and we had the tuna sashimi (so good!). I also ordered the Electric Verde cocktail, which had a subtle spice and smokiness. The bartender was friendly and service was quick. The place was clean, considering there is only outdoor seating. Parking was a bit rough if you're just going for food, so I'd recommend walking around for a little window shopping as well. Overall, a nice place to go for drinks and fish. We will be returning for oysters and to try the other dishes 😁
This place was great!! Went here for a late dinner with drinks. Everything we had was amazing! Between the salmon carpaccio and the albacore sashimi, I'm not sure which one was my favorite. The oysters were great too and came with a lemony cilantro sauce that was amazing! The brussel sprouts were super crispy and melt in your mouth. For cocktails I really liked one called The Gentlemen - I mean, how can you go wrong with gentleman jack?? The restaurant is mostly outdoors but there is a portion that is indoors as well. They do have heaters but on a cold night be sure to bundle up! The bartender told us this place gets packed when the weather warms up so be prepared for a wait. Overall I really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back again!!
Love this place! Fish and Asian fusion make for fantastic food. I always get the boonie pasta which has bits of uni in it. It ends up tasting almost like fish macaroni and cheese. And then I always get the jalapeno garlic chicken wings which are pretty delicious as well. My wife always gets the oysters and the oyster shooter. Delicious food and outdoors to boot. You will not be disappointed here.
Went to this place on a Friday in Lent. We sat outside on a slightly cold evening but there were burners out to keep us warm. There is a wide selection of alcohol here. The fried lobster here is very different. It was a little weird to deshell a breaded lobster but I really enjoyed the dish, it was tasty and had a great combinations of tastes and textures.
Great food and oyster selection. Nice and fast service. Opening hours: Weekdays: until 9-10pm depends Weekends: till 11pm approx (depends)
Had an an amazing time here still giving 5 stars even though they change for bread. Food was great. Pro tip you can get more seafood by ordering off individual items rather than paying for the seafood tower
Some of the best oysters I've had in the neighboring area! Place was a little under staffed, but Amy got everything out in a decent time and it was all fresh. Downed a dozen of those buggers in no time. Great Happy Hour specials. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a chill spot outside. Will return.
Oysters , Glass of wine, crab sliders, fish tacos ( not pictured)..you cannot go wrong with happy hour here . Oysters are always fresh and food is always well made.
Fresh oysters - delicious Uni pasta - so rich, uni infused sauce topped with uni. Garlic shrimp pasta - garlicky with tons of shrimp I mean, if you love seafood, what more can you ask for? Awesome knowledgeable staff, I would suggest sitting at the bar. This is a place you want to come back and try everything on their menu.

One of the best seafood places for me. i drive 40 minutes just to get my favorite Uni pasta and oysters with seared salmon sashimi! It is worth it! Great place and atmosphere!

Had a lovely meal with celiac dining restrictions great and thoughtful service! Yellowtail collar was 10/10, and our server brought alternative sauces to be sure we had a safe meal

Beautiful place, very unique kinda of an Europe atmosphere. The whole place is located outdoors and the kitchen is see through with a frameless glass. "The reservation" cocktail was the best, based on vodka and some citrus flavors with a spicy twist. Alcohol portions are generous. The salmon carpaccio with truffle oil was 5 our 5 stars, unlike the ceviche and the Brussels sprouts we tried. The ceviche wasn't good at all and a very small portion served in a martini cup. There was more decoration in the cup than actual food and flavor was less than just ok. We will be back to try some other cocktails since it looked very promising. We were sitting on the bar, the bartender was friendly and quick. (P.S. please print some new drink menus and replace the old ones ;) )
What a great local spot. The staff is friendly, the food is good and you meet a lot of nice people at the bar. I always try to go for the $1.50 oysters during Happy hour. If you are ordering one entree, then it has to be the uni pasta. Take my word for it. It's the best thing on the menu.
So fun and fresh. Totally open al fresco dining. Sit at the bar for the best and most fun experience. Oysters are amazing, raw or roasted. Not super in love with the spicy garlic fried clams, probably skip those next time.
When this place has it together, they serve really excellent seafood. The shellfish is fresh and prepared with care. Various garnishes all compliment the food and the bar always has beer on tap, or mixed drinks if that's what you're in the mood for. This place is located right in the center of the village mall and is perfect for people watching. The main problem this place suffers from is consistency. Your experience can vary from excellent to forgettable, depending on who is working that day. Seafood tower is a great way for two people to try a bit of everything from the main menu. Its also just fun to have a tower of seafood to munch on while enjoying an afternoon out.
Very nice casual yet high end menu of seafood. Price of cocktails were a little high. Food was absolutely great. Very happy. Will go again.
Overall the experience was good, we have a good server tonight. She was very friendly and helpful also came by asking us how's the food. The chicken wings were delicious and the environment were good too.
Had a good first experience at EMC. It is not a traditional restaurant as it is mostly tables on the patio and a bar section. Cool vibe but not a quite sit down place if that's what you're looking for. Wife and I went for dinner and the food was great. Oysters were fresh and tasty, the ceviche was good, albacore sashimi was delicious and the clams (and noodle broth) were awesome. Our waitress "V" was really nice and made great suggestions. I think they may have been a bit short staffed when we went as V was covering a lot of tables and even seemed to be behind the bar a few times. A good experience nonetheless and we would definitely go back.
Cheap wine and great oysters makes for a perfect combination. Out of all of the generic and boring chains in the Village, this place is a hidden gem. Service is always attentive and polite, and the bar is a lot of fun and unpretentious. I recommend the uni pasta and any of the oysters. Updating my review. Service and food seem to be going downhill here. Came here on a Wednesday and was served 3 bad oysters out of 6. Service was really slow as well despite not being busy. This is the second visit in a row where the oysters weren't fresh. Crossing this place off my list unfortunately.
Nice location, good food. Took some time to get service, but once we had a waiter, all was good.
We ordered half a dozen of the fat bastards oystets, uni pasta and lobster roll (not shown). Service was pretty slow but when our food came, we basically inhaled everything in sight. The oysters came first pretty darn good. Then the uni pasta came next so creamy and tasty. Last but not least, the lobster roll, the bun was so buttery and flaky with fresh lobster pieces, so bomb. We dipped the lobster roll in the left over uni pasta sauce which made it even better than it already was. Finish the meal with warm sake and beer. Great meal, a bit pricey, totally worth it tho.

The entrees were just okay. Would not say it was good value for money. The seafood pasta was basically like chef boyardee 😬 The noodles with shrimp and the seafood fried rice was not that great either. The garlic edamame, oysters, and poke were good. The service was great and it was nice having drinks with live music!
Food was good, service really slow (looked like they were understaffed). Sat outside next to the water thingamajig and it was loud due to the pets and kids around. Had the seafood fried rice and it was good. The uni pasta looked good too. Funny Bay oysters were good as well, with cocktail sauce and horse radish.
Cajun oysters were fine. Shrimp noodles were also just fine—a little over cooked but the portion was generous. Just not awesome, considering the price. Possibly an off night for the kitchen? Also, just FYI, it's entirely outdoor seating, and still fairly chilly despite the heat lamp.

My husband and I love this place, often stopping in after work to enjoy the oysters and sashimi during their happy hour. BEWARE!!! Apparently happy hour is random. We met some friends there yesterday only to find that they “made up” a holiday and arbitrarily decided not to honor their happy hour despite the fact that there was a big sign posting the hours right in front of us and on the menu. Today is Veterans Day. Yesterday was just an excuse to get more money from their customers and show how little they care about our business. If you’re going for their “happy hour” I would suggest you call first to make sure they haven’t invented a “holiday.”
They don't honor menus on the Internet. $1.50 oysters happy hour are now $2.
The food is always good, but the service is so rude and unfriendly. We have sat at the bar the last 2 times we came and have been with the same rude older guy. We started off with 3 orders of the grilled oysters, and he legit said “no, because we won’t refund you if you send them back”. He never checked in on us once he was just talking to his boyfriend from Katsuya at the other side of the bar the entire time! All of the other customers were neglected and had to walk up to the bar because he kept forgetting their orders and just asking for water. It almost feels like he wants to punish people just for coming in. Like, sorry we came into your restaurant.
Less of an Uni "Pasta" and more of a Soup. Extremely sauce heavy to the point that I didn't finish it. On top of that the dish felt like it was missing an element as far as texture. The noodles themselves were decent, otherwise it would be 1 star.

No air conditioning. It's 92 degrees outside. I would have not driven all the way over here had i known. It's in the middle of an open air mall. The employees don't even want to work there. And u can't blame them. Walked up to it twice around 3:15pm and again at 3:30pm. I thought once happy hour started they would have gotten it together. Nobody at the hostess stand. One employee was sitting in the corner fanning themselves playing with chopsticks hitting the table with them and the other one was the bartender. Nobody is even trying to seat folks.
We have dined at this restaurants many times & did not mind the long drive because we love their Rockefeller Grilled Oysters (awesome size)! This time the oysters were smaller than a size of a clam - 3 oysters for $15 filled with mostly creamy spinach & parmesan cheese. I did let the waiter know and said he would advise the kitchen. He later told me that since we consumed the oysters there is nothing they can do. This was so disappointing! No excuse for this. Then I spoke with the manager and he said most people complain because their oysters were big!!! Another terrible comment and so unprofessional to say to a customer! We will never come back to this restaurant. You need to listen to your customers and provide the service we deserve especially in today's economy!
The seafood pasta was just not good at all. It tasted like they used a canned tomato sauce and added nothing else. I couldn’t finish it, I had to put it in the trash. Wasted my money with that one!
