I had an incredible dining experience here from start to finish. The main courses were rich, authentic, and perfectly seasoned—truly a 5/5 meal. Make sure you don't skip the dessert menu, as everything we tried was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for high-quality Indian cuisine!
Excellent Indian lunch / dinner stop! Everything we ate was lip smacking. The mini dosas were incredible! And so was the chaat (ask for a veggie version if you can’t eat caviar) and the breads with the mains were awesome too.
Incredible food. we can’t stop thinking about the garlic naan, lentil dal, dosa and lamb korma. The tandoori sea bass was also very tasty.
This place opened about a year ago and is a great addition to the town of Woodstock. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service was excellent. We got the butter chicken, tadka paneer, garlic naan and the yellow lentils. Everything was good but mild in flavor, so if you are used to more intense Indian food, I would suggest getting something a little spicier. I normally don’t love paneer dishes but this one was the best one I’ve ever had and the sauce was delicious. I got the saffron rose cocktail and it was also great. Definitely recommend!
What a gem! My husband and I found this place while on retreat in the mountains and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to have lunch! Not only is this restaurant beautiful- really, from the color palette, to the plateware and flatware - but the food was excellent. Don’t skip the coffee either! The service was just as inviting and sincere. We have a few more days in the area and are planning to come back!
I recently dined at Nirvana Indian Cuisine in Woodstock, and it was an absolute delight. The ambiance was inviting, with a beautifully designed space that set the tone for a wonderful meal. The service was impeccable, ensuring our dining experience was excellent from start to finish. Now, onto the food – it was simply wonderful! We started with freshly made roti served warm with two delicious sauces. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, bursting with flavor. The lamb korma was tender, creamy and perfectly spiced. And the roasted eggplant was cooked to perfection. Don’t forget the creamy and freshly made Mango Lassi! If you're in Woodstock and craving delicious Indian cuisine, I highly recommend paying Nirvana a visit. You won't be disappointed!
Amazing ambience, amazing drinks, and food. Ordered mango chilly margarita, it was too good! It was rimmed with tangy spice. Ordered dal makhani and matar paneer, garlic naan for dinner. I loved it all. Dal makhani tasted more like dal mughlai. Matar paneer was creamy, it was really good! Garlic naan was crispy and thin. Asked for side of onions and chilly. Would love to visit again.
I’ve eaten twice here and both times the experience was top notch. It’s the best Indian cuisine I’ve had besides my chef friend’s creation. And the interior and atmosphere is just right. I feel so lucky that this restaurant is here in Woodstock. Everyone should try this place when visiting Woodstock.
Spectacular meal. Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had - including in India! Full wine, beer and liquor menu too. Great ambience. Will definitely return!
We all (4) had a great dining experience with excellent food, good service in a comfortable environment. Thank you all
Nirvana truly lives up to its name—this place is a slice of culinary heaven! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the modern, stylish interior and the spotless, welcoming vibe. It’s a perfect blend of contemporary elegance with the comforting warmth you’d hope for in an Indian restaurant. We started with four mini-masala dosas, and honestly, we could’ve eaten four more. Each one was crisped to perfection, and the accompanying chutneys and sambar were bursting with flavor—fresh, tangy, spicy, and downright addictive. For our main dishes, we had the saag and matar paneer. Both were absolutely phenomenal. The saag was rich and perfectly seasoned, and the matar paneer had that creamy, comforting texture that only a well-balanced curry can deliver. Every bite felt thoughtfully crafted. One small heads-up for future diners: the portions are on the smaller side, so if you’re extra hungry, you might want to order a bit more. That said, the quality more than makes up for it. Nirvana is a gem—modern, clean, and full of authentic flavor. We’ll definitely be back!
I am so thrilled that Nirvana has opened! The food is absolutely delicious, the ambience is beautiful with plenty of seating in three different areas. Make reservations because this place is hot!!
Gracious dining meets best Indian Food in New York. Superb service and cuisine. Very well-run restaurant. Don’t miss out on the Pistachio Kulfi. Thank you for a stellar dining experience.
Beautiful space, and wonderful attentive staff. I really enjoyed the fresh flowers on the table and the candles at the bar. We got the butter chicken, lamb kebab, garlic naan, chai, madras coffee, shareable chaat plate, and kulfi and it was all incredibly delicious. 10/10 would recommend :3

Nirvana is a solid choice for Indian food in the Hudson Valley. On Sundays they recently began offering a buffet, which I think is fairly exceptional. 👌
I went here for a friends birthday and it was a brilliant experience. The food was great, good recommendations. I tried the madras and it was delicious. The best Indian food I’ve had in Oxfordshire. The people at da’ba know how to make you feel welcome. Sahed made our Group feel comfortable and welcome, gave flawless service, his presence gave our evening a personal touch. Will be recommending this place to other people.

Very delicious modern presentation of Indian food! Flavors stay true to what it is but the dishes are creative and updated. Great drinks as well. A must visit in Woodstock.
The panier kafta I would strongly recommend. The shrimp chili appetizer was a mix, the sauce and veggies great the shrimp was in the freezer to long it didn't taste fresh. The chicken vandaloo was well made but there was a flavor to me it tasted like lime that was overpowering. The service was attentive but a bit pushy on up selling the portions were sufficient to share, the rice was very good.

Came here with a group of friends and really enjoyed the food. The service was great; our waiter made sure we were well taken care of. Here are our thoughts on the dishes we tried: Amazing: The chicken curry, breads, Mutter Paneer, Kale pakora, and shrimp appetizers were all fantastic. Okay: The chicken dum biryani tasted good, but it definitely wasn't authentic. Didn't Enjoy: We didn't care for the fish curry because it was too tangy.
This is not indian food ! Its "american" food 😂 just looks like indian food ! The dosa was bland and oily or too greasy everything was just tasteless and too sweet!!!! And the prices were ridiculous and portions were very small ....6 $ for a naan 😂 Save your money go across the street ! We had stomach ache after eating there idk if it was the oily greasy tiny Dosa or if the chicken was old !
My wife and I were very excited to come to Nirvana, as we used to be customers of the previous restaurant that was there. We love Indian food and have been to so many restaurants, not only in NYC but also in many other cities. While we loved the renovation and new decor, and the service was professional and friendly, I have never felt so insulted by what was served to me as I was at Nirvana. I am a big fan of Aloo Gobi, and that’s what I order 9 out of 10 times whenever I go to any given Indian restaurant. I am not making this up nor is this an exaggeration: I received 3 TINY cauliflower florets and ONE fingerling potato over a small bed of spinach saag. At first I thought they were 2 small potatoes, but it was one fingerling potato cut in half. Not to mention this was very different from any authentic Aloo Gobi’s I’ve had before. They also gave one small portion of rice for both mine and my wife’s entrees, and the amount of rice was not even enough for just one of us. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for many years in NYC, this is one of the biggest mistakes you can make as a restaurant owner and/or manager. People will not come back and you’ll build a bad reputation. This is a place we would be going to at least twice a month, but we’ll never go back unless we see some proof of improvement. This is a great addition to the Woodstock restaurant scene, but you’re doing it wrong.
