What can I say, I love this place. Nothing makes me happier than to visit places that were clearly the unique dream of their owner/owners. The food is good, not great but good. The service is great, they obviously have trained staff that knows how to serve tables and the atmosphere is of course one of a kind in Mexico. I honestly feel as though I've stepped into the German or French alps. 🌲 I truly love this place. I do have one suggestion for management though. Please get some German beer! It's a shame that the restaurant is filled with beer steins, there's German beer steins statues everywhere, and the entire property is themed in German references and you can't order even one German beer. Not one. That was very disappointing.
The area where the restaurant is located is very beautiful, with the forest, the water, the ducks, and small trails and bridge to walk around and take very nice pictures. The restaurant is a bit dated but cozy, and the serves are super nice and professional. I would remove the displays with gnomes along the trails, they look old, not well kept and not well made, they actually ruin somewhat the beautiful natural surroundings, really there is no need for anything more. The food is expensive but good quality, you really pay for the whole experience. I would not go there every weekend but definitely a good option for a special occasion.
We were there on Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was unexpectedly crowded. The gardens are decorated very nicely and it was wonderful to walk around. We couldn’t manage to get a table in their cozy cottages and we ate in the big hall which was not very nice. Regarding the food we had aubergine with Parmesan, soaps and smoked salmon. All of the were really good. For main course we had grilled goat and trout fish. The goat meat was fatty and smelly but fishes were just ok. I suggest not to go there on weekends.
It's a quiet and comfortable place. I really liked the views and the food, but above all the tranquility of the place. I recommend it.
Food is not worth the price. Only worth to visit because the place is nice.
Themed like a German or swiss Alpine village and set along a fast flowing creek. It's quite otherworldly. Food wasn't very good though. We had breakfast and it was the bog standard "can't be arsed" style of cooking you expect from low-mid quality hotels.
It's simple. The atmosphere and the view does not match the quality of the food. It's in fact a total mismatch. Stay away from cabrito(just bones) and guacamole(flavorless).
Delicious goat leg! Among other things. EDIT: Woo, stomach flu a couple days later, seemingly from the quesadillas. Be careful with their cheese! Very certain it's from here, judging from the specific group of people who got sick who ate a different places following and preceding this day
