Decision food, very comfortable ordering from the machine - enough time to think your order through. Friendly staff

I’d eaten lunch here a couple times over the years, and the experience was just okay. Today, I ate breakfast here, and the experience was fantastic! The most significant improvement is the kiosk ordering, which completely eliminated all long lines for ordering. After I ordered, a friendly gentleman who appeared to be posted in the lobby just to answer questions and maybe bus tables let me know where to get my self-serve coffee after I finished ordering at the kiosk. The food was ready by the time I got my coffee, and it was all delicious!!—eggs, bacon, country potatoes, a croissant, and short stack of HUGE pancakes. With the coffee, it all came to $20, which I thought was a steal for that amount of food in the Park. Highly recommend breakfast here!

We stayed at the Yosemite Valley Lodge for three nights, and had all of our meals at the Base Camp Eatery. The food was consistently good quality. The service was extremely efficient and we would normally get our order ready within 5 minutes. We had grilled chicken sandwich, chicken teriyaki poke bowl, chicken gyro, side of fries, half dome beer. The only thing I would suggest improving is a more diverse kids menu, especially hot meals.

They have really good slaw!!! Can eat decent food in a reasonable price.

I'm actually very impressed. Food is good, decor is nice! It's reasonably priced and so far best food selection I have experience in any of NP.

Seriously the best food I’ve ever had in a national park. This culinary team is top notch!

The food here really is great for a national park restaurant. Had the to-go sandwiches for lunch and the teriyaki bowls for dinner. All our dishes were tasty and the prices were not ridiculous.

Wow! This the best flavored BBQ pulled pork sandwich, in a LONG time! It kinda messy, I had eat most of it open-faced but intense Great BarBeQue Flavor! Worth what you paid @$7.75!!

Base camp eatery is gorgeous! The space is bright, airy, and beautifully designed. The food is also satisfying - I had pancakes with scrambled eggs and sausages. The pancakes were perfectly done - with a slight crispy edge and a fluffy inside.

Great food options. The chicken sandwiches were amazing. We liked the kiosk order system, and the food was ready quickly. The seating was a bit uncomfortable (we had a high top table with benches).

Found this dining gem in Yosemite. I didn’t know it existed. Visited twice. Dined for dinner on a Saturday then grabbed some lunch on a Wednesday. Very different experiences on both days. Saturday: We we’re on our way back from the Firefall. We decided on ordering here because there tons of people everywhere and we thought it was going to take a long time to get out of the park and we didn’t want to go hungry. The eatery was very crowded. Long lines. There was one person on mask control. Many options on the menu. Warm soups are perfect on a cold night. I waited over an hour before I had my food in my hands. By this time the crowds exiting the park were gone. So I didn’t mind waiting inside a warm eatery. There was one cashier who seemed overwhelmed with the crowd because she was not so friendly. She was bothered that I asked her what number they were on the orders. The lady directing us to move the line was very patient. All the cooks and servers were nice. No one had smiles though. No complaints there. We had pepperoni pizzas. My pizza was over cooked and hard. I was too tired to complain and wait for another pizza. ~Wednesday: We ordered lunch. We had hamburgers and fires. No lines. No crowds. We got our lunch fast. The cashiers were friendly. Cooks and servers were kind. Everyone had a smile. We had our burgers to go so that we could picnic by the El Capitan by the meadow. The burger would have tasted better eating it warm at the eatery but the view was way nicer by the meadow.

Great spot to grab a bite after a morning hike! We had the chicken fingers, cheeseburger with fries, and some super fresh coleslaw—way better than I expected. The food hit the spot and came out fast, which we really appreciated. We liked it so much, we came back the next morning for breakfast. The short stack was delicious, and the breakfast combo was just the right amount of food. Service was quick both times, and there was plenty of seating. Definitely recommend if you’re in the park and need a solid, no-fuss meal!

Tasty food. Very friendly staff. Poke bowl felt like a dish from 5 star hotel. Looking at the crowd, we got our food very fast.

A dining hall featuring a variety of meal options, including vegetarian options. For what it is I have no complaints. The servers were quite nice and helpful. The ordering kiosks are available in various languages, including but not limited to Spanish, French, German, and Mandarin Chinese. The eggs are light and fluffy. If you’re not a fan of their cranberry sausages (which is mild and sweet, not rich), you can get their applewood smoked bacon. Their potatoes O’Brien weren’t anything special but still good.

I really can't relate to the mass of negative reviews. Yes, it's not fine dining, but for the price they're offering quite good food. They're fast, friendly helpful. I especially liked the chicken sandwich and the burgers.

There are not many restaurants in Yosemite Valley. The food in this restaurant is mediocre. If you stay at Yosemite Lodge, it's a great place to have a beer in the evening.

The veg burger here beats all the burgers hands down !! The chicken burgers and the tenders are dry compared to the veg burger…a good place to stop eat and then hike at the yosemite…good space and only problem is that it remains shut in the afternoon ….

We had a few meals at Base Camp Eatery and they were all solid. We especially enjoyed the meatball sub, tofu curry, and fries. It’s a great place to hang out because it’s open early and closes late. Fast Wi-Fi as well.

The interior and exterior design of the lodge was beautiful. I just had a snack here, and it was not bad. The place was teeming with travelers ordering and having lunch. It seems it's almost the only restaurant you can find in Yosemite Valley.

Pretty good food @ pretty good prices. It hit the spot after camping for a few days. There are many meat substitutes on the menu as well. We had the Salmon, Chicken, and the tofu curry all were flavorful and satisfying served in large servings. The the dining area is cute too.

If i had to rate this place based on how it looked and what they offered a year ago, I would have rated 2 stars. In current day, it is renovated, clean, lot of menu items. They have total 3 counters & for 2 counters use kiosk to place order. The turn around time is quick & everything looks fresh.

The Pizza is delicious and their fries are yummy with the ranch dip. The chicken sandwich is ok if you like it really crispy and crunchy

Good place to grab a quick bite. Lots of options (Latin food, Italian, burgers, chicken strips, etc). Food is similar to cafeteria food. Totally edible and fills you up, but not great by any means. I’d totally go back though- it’s quick and gets the job done after a long morning of hiking

Any place in Yosemite gets 5 stars for the atmosphere, it's absolutely beautiful. The food here isn't anything special but it's solid for what it is, a little on the expensive side (which is a trend for everywhere in Yosemite). Overall it's a good spot to stop for a quick lunch in the park.

I don't know why this place is rated so poorly. Tons of options and vegetarian friendly. I ate here for 3 days and everything I had was good. I preferred hanging out in here more than my room during the rainy days. It gets loud during the morning hours but quiets down around noon. For 2 people for each meal it cost us about $20-$30.

I had the Mediterranean bowl - Entrees with 2 sides for $17.5 - Grilled Chicken, with Tomatoe Salad and Quinoa Mix , with Creamy Garlic. Good portion size, chicken was good, not spicy. Expensive but better portion size than the chicken sandwich. Also had the cheese cake which was super good.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Overall: I was pretty impressed with the pricing and portion size. There is also ample space for people to eat and they have water filling stations! The extended review... Food: Breakfast - 4/5 - There are some breakfast combos and a la carte selections. I would say that the a la carte for me seemed to be a little bit bigger in portions although it was served by different people on different days. Service: 4/5 - Friendly service by servers. Ambiance: 4/5 - A very spacious place to eat. Plenty of tables and very tasty water filling stations.

A comfortable place to take a break and have a quick bite. The food menu is simple but it does offer choices for different diet preference. The food is fine and is reasonably priced. Everything is self served and the process is efficient. The dining hall provides plenty of seatings.

M
Matha Goram

One extra star for a balanced menu that accommodates vegetarian dietary constraints. Modestly busy during the peak hours leading to extensive use of infra-red lamps that do not keep the plates uniformly warm. Saw several plates being returned during my short dinner stay. The breakfast cooks are very slow but have the experience to cook and plate for a wholesome meal. Does not accept Google Pay (Summer 2018).

Eggs are very dry and rubbery. Potatoes were overdone. The chocolate croissant and pancakes are really good. The sausage was good too. I also loved. the burgers, pizza, fries. Mash potatoes, Mac and cheese. All really good. Black bean burger was okay. Would have been 5 stars if the eggs and potatoes weren’t so poor. I’d stay away from those.

While staying at the Yosemite Valley Lodge we had breakfast at the Base Camp Eatery. This is a cafeteria style restaurant right in the Lodge common area (near the lodge main office). We walked the short distance to the Eatery where there was a small line. You place your order at electronic kiosks with a number of options for the morning meal, and for most items on the menu you can customize your order. They also serve dinner and lunch but we enjoyed those meals at other locations in the Valley. After you place your order - and pay for it at the kiosk - you receive a receipt with your order number. The kitchen staff prepares your meal and calls your number. My wife and I ordered the same thing our first morning, the Breakfast Bundle. We both often for Bacon (pork sausage was the other option) which was served with scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes.

My wife found a table while I wanted for our food (at certain times, an indoor table can be elusive - she found one in just a few minutes). We were both pleased with our meal. The scrambled eggs and potatoes were seasoned well and the bacon had minimal gristle. There was ample serving for a reasonable price - especially knowing we were deep inside a National Park. They do serve coffee but we splurged and ordered Mocha Latte from Starbucks which is next door. On our second morning we wanted a lighter breakfast as we had plans for a bigger lunch that day. We ordered two Yogurt parfait with a side order of two pastries. It was a good sized container with greek style yogurt - with added blueberries and strawberries. I also selected one fruit danish and one chocolate croissant. Once again,. we both enjoyed our orders. I appreciate having a quality meal available in such a convenient location in the park with reasonable prices. I did note several bad reviews and it looks like it's related to lunch or dinner meals.

The only place to eat at yosemite Valley so your options are somewhat limited to whats on offer at that time. Place is packed with tourist and hikers and is loud with limited seats and tables. We got the pizza and cheeseburger and I'd have to say this was the safest options. Pizza was good tasting and the cheeseburger no complaints. No cash, card only for payment

Base Camp Eatery is in Yosemite Valley. To order your food you have to use the kiosk. There are many options to choose from. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich. It tasted good, but was expensive. All food in Yosemite is expensive. Plenty of seating in the dining area.

A great spot for families to eat. The food is a bit pricey for what you get, but seeing as there aren’t a ton of options I didn’t expect it to be cheap. The chicken sandwich was a tad dry but the fries & burger were very good! It is a pretty large spot to eat so that is great for those with larger groups.

We came here for both dinner and breakfast! I am debating whether I should give 3 or 4 stars! For the dinner, we did have a great experience even though the line was longer (but you only want pizza, the line was shorter)! The staff were friendly and nice! The food tasted good! The food we ordered: For one entree with two sides: $16.50 (Recommended) Soup of The Day: $6.00 Cheeseburger/Hamburger: $6.50 (Recommended) Chili Hot Dog: $6.00 (not worthy) However, when we came back for breakfast the next day! The staff were a bit rude! The food was okay! The food we ordered: Breakfast Bundle: $9.00 Pancakes: $5.75 I think the current rating (3.7 stars or so) is accurate!

This is a good place to get food with lots of options. You’ll order your food and pay on a touch screen and then wait for your order number to be called. The service is quick even when there is a bit of a line. Lots of seating inside and is usually very clean but I like to find outdoor seating as it can get kind of loud inside. Food options include poke bowls, chicken sandwiches, burgers, pizza (there’s a vegan pizza option), gyro and falafel bowl to name some of them. The Starbucks just opened as well and is right next to base camp.

This is a good way to enjoy a cheaper meal in the valley. The eatery serves poke bowls, fast food and pizza at reasonably fair prices. Orders are placed at the terminal. You can pick up your order at the counter afterwards. The food was delicious. However, the atmosphere is more like a canteen.

I must say that this place is a safe heaven for lots of tired and hungry people. You can do water refills, charge your phone and eat very decent fast food. Not the best you’ll have but it’s super convenient. Also they have a few vegan options. Must stop here if you’re in the area for multiple days.

I also tried the chicken and pesto sandwich which was much better. My friends got the falafel salad bowl which was pretty good. My wife took the tuna poke bowl which was pretty good as well and very filling. For dessert I tried the bakhlawa which was a bit of a let down otherwise a pretty good experience.

I got one $2 popsicle from the Byte kiosk in the eatery. Thankfully I requested an emailed receipt. The receipt included for 20 items totaling $54! Then I ordered a tiramisu on the digital menu only to be told by staff that they were out and only had an apple pie. I was not refunded the $2 difference. I completely understand that getting a popsicle and apple pie in the middle of Yosemite Valley is a first-world problem, but placing these items create expectations. When it works, great. When it doesn’t it just creates disappointment and frustration.

I haven't been here in two years and things have changed. Now, there's no more Sbux. You also need to place an order through a kiosk, including beverages. I got a vegetarian breakfast burrito which they literally made in seconds. It was ginormous - full of eggs, potato, spices, etc. I ate half for breakfast and half for lunch. So it turned out to be a good deal! It was pretty satisfying and flavorful. I'd get that again. Their drip coffee, dispensed from thermoses, was ok. I'd hold onto my coffee cup and go in for refills. Not sure if you're supposed to pay for a refill. I didn't and saw others doing the same.

B

It's a cafeteria style no frills kinda diner. It's definitely nothing special but given the context of being deep in the valley, this place hits the spot. We came here for an early morning breakfast and if you've been living off of camp food for awhile this is a refreshing change of pace. That being said, don't expect anything actually good here Food: 4/10 Service: 4/10 Atmoshpere: 6/10 Value: 6/10

The food here was ok for the price. I wasn’t very impressed but it was nice to have a warm cooked meal every night after a long full day of big hiking. You’ll spend at least 16$ per person and it’s nice they have a hot food entree area or a grill with sandwiches/ pizz for a variety of options. I did like my spicy chicken sandwich although I didn’t get pictures and I thought the hot food entree Cajun fish was also good but not really worth the price. I liked the potatoes though and would recommend trying both grill and hot entree options if staying in the park multiple days. This places gets packed around dinner time and you stand in line for at least 20-35 minutes depending on when you go and what time of year. The second night was only about a 10 minute wait in line.

The cheapest and most convenient eatery in Yosemite Valley. The breakfast dishes are fairly good and reasonably priced ($4.25 for the eggs, $6 for the porridge), but the lunch and dinner selection is awful. The portion sizes are tiny, the prices inflated, and the food won’t even be good-tasting or healthy. Last night we got their “soup of the day”, which was chicken and vegetable. The soup was an overly-salted mush.

J

Really an eatery more than a restaurant. You place your order at one of the order kiosks, making the ordering process fast and smooth. Order pick-up later on is not that smooth, since you need to wait for your number to be shouted from behind the counter. People are gathering close by, making it pretty crowded at around the counters and it's also difficult for people working there to shout loud and for you to hear your number. I appreciate vegetarian meals and options of something else than sandwiches, burgers and other fast food. Cutlery and napkins are available at the cutlery stands that you need to find. The used dishes are dropped at certain place where they are collected to be cleaned and re-used. All of these places could be better marked, in my opinion.

Came off a 6,000 foot day in the high country trails and didn’t wanna cook. The portions are a joke. And brother, whoever called that a poke bowl don’t get out much 😝. The $5 side of rice was half full too like dude rice is basically free at least hook a guy up with a whole cup of rice and maybe cook it the rest of the way through next time.

Yogurt parfait only had yogurt and few berries. No granola and only 1/2 full cup Eggs tasted like powdered eggs. The staff having to yell out the order numbers that area already for pickup really detracts from any atmosphere

ordered a tamarind salmon bowl to go to eat on my out of the park, and i was really disappointed. i was really hungry just to find a tasteless bunch of veggies on the side and a small scoop of rice at the bottom. if it's called a bowl shouldn't there be more rice? continuing on with the rice, it had a weird chewy but rubber like texture and had a strange taste to it. definitely not cooked well, tasted just like my college campus rice. salmon itself was good though and the lady was nice to wrap by bowl up in saran wrap so i could take it to go. price was 20 USD but it feels like a glorified dining hall dish. if you have a car and don't mind driving an hour go to june bug cafe for a meal!

I realize that this is a park food hall, so no high expectations for me. And they still missed. My chicken tenders were ok, but the cranberry juice for $3.25 was... infant size. Not kid size. 4 ounces. Our party thought the pizzas were pretty good.

Typical government contractor cafeteria. Kitchen occasionally okay, overpriced, often slow, menu on the digital overhead boards doesn't match what's in the kiosks, and generally mediocre. At least there's usually just enough seating, and heck you're in a beautiful national park, so can't complain too much. Just bring your own food the next time.

Word of warning - if you get the chicken sandwich, cut it in half to make sure it is cooked before eating. One of our sandwiches was cold and raw inside. When I took it back, the server agreed and started to make a new sandwich. Immediately, an older woman (late 60s to mid-70s) rudely interrupted and asked to see the sandwich. I explained it was red inside and had an uncooked texture while I opened the sandwich to show her. She snapped "let me see it!" I handed her the sandwich and she pulled the meat apart to inspect it. She again snapped saying "it's raw". She then turned away, tossed the sandwich in the trash and walked away. She gave no apology for serving a potentially deadly sandwich. I felt sorry for the young female server who remade the sandwich. She looked defeated and demoralized. The side salad was fine and was a decent size and reasonable price. Even with the remade sandwich, the food was barely warm enough to eat. The taste was okay, but nothing above average. The total bill was $34 for two chicken sandwiches and a side salad with no beverages.

Small portions, I mean really stingily small. No toast available. Really small standard croissant. But your only choice in the valley. But even Grand Canyon np does better.

Arrived at 10:35 and was told breakfast could not be ordered even though there was a fully stocked counter of the breakfast items and the breakfast menu was displayed on the tv monitors. I saw several other people attempt to order the breakfast food right in front of them and having their business turned away. We were also told lunch was not being served yet. It does not make sense to refuse customers and throw away the remaining food.

Eat here only if you have to. Food is bland, at best. The seating area is constantly dirty, even in the mornings.

Normally, I don’t write reviews about places I’ve visited, but the experience I had here felt worth sharing. The food was alright—nothing special. However, the fries were cold. Okay, that can happen, but the way it was handled was, in my opinion, unacceptable. After I asked if I could get warm fries instead of the cold ones, the gentleman behind the counter looked annoyed at me. He told me to wait a moment, which of course is fine—it can’t be ready instantly. After waiting a few minutes, the fries arrived, but instead of giving me fresh fries as requested, he just dumped some more on top of the cold ones. These cold ones tasted like they had been fried two hours ago.

Used to be my favorite spot in Yosemite to grab a quality meal but what I just had tonight was pretty bad and the staff are constantly yelling order numbers which makes for an odd atmosphere.

Not the best food, but something available within the park. Close to picnic area. Plan wisely before visiting the park or else got to eat what’s here..

Started our morning at the base of Yosemite Falls so this was the closest place for food. We arrived around 9:30 with the place closing at 10. There were about 15 groups of people behind us still when they closed the line at 10. Food/Taste/Flavor: 2/5 - So we all ordered the breakfast bundle but received very different amounts of food. The bundle is eggs, protein, potatoes, and a croissant. The first person got a mound of eggs, the second some eggs but mostly the dry shavings of the egg, and we got another pastry since there were no eggs left. We were lucky since the cheese pastry was pretty good but the croissant was dry. The dry shaving of eggs were dry (obviously) and pretty much inedible. They should have given a replacement as well similar to our order. The bacon was pretty good but the sausages were super dry as well Ambience: 5/5 - cafeteria atmosphere but clean and comfortable Service: 1/5 - there is only one person per station and at one point the worker walked away and no one knew what was happening. The person we ordered from was short with us and seemed frustrated that he had to deal with us Value for price: 2/5 - as long as you are here more than an hour before closing and they have sufficient food, should be okay

Food was the same we got in elementary school wasn’t horrible but was not work the $20 a plate we paid. Some of the servers and bussers were very nice and friendly. A lot of the employees had rather bad attitudes, i’m guessing, had to deal with tourists and never seen the same face at the end of the day if you’re in the Customer Service industry, you’ve gotta at least attempt to smile and be courteous.

I am dining in this eatery as of 23 Jan 2026. Food and coffee are so bad I had to write a review now itself. Portion sizes were huge but food quality taste and temperature were very poor. Potatoes were burnt and hard like they were from yesterday. Eggs were bland. Coffee was super light and almost water. Croissant was probably the best, of which you get one tiny per plate. They did not have bread/toast so had to purchase a bagel to get that. Wasted almost $40 for this. This is not a national park lodge breakfast eatery…. Some private corporation scam. Gotta improve guys! Dont let yosemite and californians down…

Over the course of a week, had several different breakfast options. Best options were the breakfast bundle (bacon, eggs, potatoes) though the potatoes needed ketchup and Tabasco to render them edible, or the pancakes. The chilaquiles were tasty with plenty of pork, but the fried egg on it was like a leather hockey puck (premade and kept warm). Worst breakfast burrito ever, kept in a warmer.

Danger - the food from here can make you sick!!! My friend got a pole bowl for dinner and was throwing up all night, please note there is no medical facilities here if you get sick. You're on your own! I got breakfast, and I am feeling nauseous after what looks like partially cooked scrambled eggs. This place is really most desperately in need of a competent management which can hire and train employees. As it stands now, the place is operated by teenagers (exchange students?) and the food and service quality are worse than anything I have seen anywhere in the world. The menu is great on paper but the implementation is pathetic.

10 Dollars for a “caeser salad” which was basically only lettuce and 5 bread croutons. Better bring something on your own

C

Probably the most revolting chicken sandwich I have ever had. My partner and I both had chicken sandwiches and they were very disappointing. Seem to prefer thigh meat for sandwich and insane amount of salt. I would avoid.

The only reasonably edible menu items were not showing in the order kiosk when we entered, yet the items were visible behind the counter. Staff said that if it “doesn’t show up in the order kiosk the it’s not available”. Deciding between remaining items such as hot dog, 3 tenders, or plain pizza, we paid $8 for a half cup of warm water they called soup. As we were leaving, the missing menu items magically appeared back in the kiosk. Our expectations were respectfully low knowing that it’s a cafeteria at a national park, but they managed to deliver even lower.

garbage food, poor quality lack of healthy options be warned, pack stuff to bring if you don’t want to eat this overpriced nonsense. Would it really take that much effort to make this a little better? Aramark catering?

B

Go here if you like your chicken rare. Awfull quality food, even when it's cooked all the way. Staff are nice though.

J

You order your food from a kiosk and you’re given a number that they call when the food is ready. The problem with this system is that 4 of the 6 kiosks were down and the ordering is slow. After 45 minutes in line, we finally ordered. 5 minutes later our food was ready. The food is what you might expect at a water park or something. Fairly mid while being overpriced since it’s within Yosemite. Starbucks is next door and you can quickly order from Starbucks if efficiently or value is your thing. Feels bad this is what is available in such a wonderful park.

B
Becca Houston

Handled food with the same gloves as they opened the refrigerator.. Please use tongs for food and be sanitary. extremely dry burritos that were made prior and put in a warmer. Need a better set up to be a more streamlined dining experience.

Possibly the worst place to eat in Yosemite Valley. The grilled cheese was like cardboard and had been under the warmer for a long time. Turkey and Swiss had two slices of turkey with a 2mm think slice of cheese. Only good thing was the fruit. Staff are friendly and helpful. Better off going to Degnan’s Kitchen.

C
Christine Keightley

Do not order either the breakfast burrito or the croissant sandwich. Both are made early and sit in a warmer which bakes them and makes them inedible. 😝

M
Michael Oda

Food that was supposed to be hot was served cold and stale. I recommend people to choose another restaurant such as near the Village store of Curry Village. Basically everything is precooked and sitting in trays for long times.

N
Nitin Sonawane

Waste of money and time. Eat cold roasted vegetable wrap…totally bland taste and bite containing hummus was bitter. Green tortillas was semi soft (or semi hard…wrap could have been bit better if served hot. See pic. Also tried cheese melt (kids menu); light on cheddar cheese with bit burned bread toast…with no butter used for making this melt. The guy (who made this cheese melt) placed a cheese slice on hot plate and then after 10 seconds transferred that melted cheese to bread toast.

It's a shame that was once a nice cafeteria is now a kiosk based food dispensory. If you have to go here try breakfast as it's your best chance for ok food. Lunch so so and dinner forget it. However one of the reasons for the low rating comes from a very basic issue with the food prep and service. They simply can not heat the food properly for serving, and the management is aware of the issues but apparently can't get it resolved by the concessionaire. So if you order food it may at best be warm but was more often just cold in places. The way the kiosk ordering is setup you can't make basic requests on what is or isn't on your sandwich as an example. It's a general issue with all kiosk systems but it was worse here. Then comes the lack of service. Honestly I think the staff would be happiest if no one came in. It was the most unfriendly service I've experienced in years. Next door to them is a Starbucks and they are really the more reliable choice. It's not that I would look forward to the food at Starbucks but it's hot, you know what to expect, the staff was reasonably pleasant and the drinks typical of any Starbucks you go to. Choices are very limited in January in the valley and the better options at Curry Village were only open on the weekend. For years this was run as a cafeteria and they should go back to that model. Add humans to take your order and make the food fresh again. Until then I won't be back, it was truly awful.

Stood in line for 1 hour after ordering only to be told that they don't have what I ordered. They could have done better. Absolutely horrible service.

Very disappointing food. This is very little bowl with almost no chicken for $17. Do it better

S
Scott Cupoli

Horrible experience. We inquired about missing items from the menu and the manager said we have what we have. After this response we should have known, but we were hungry. We ordered the food and it was worse than a tv dinner. The fries were so salted with lawry seasoning that they were inedible. The server was literally going to charge my son for a tomatoe and lettuce for his child’s burger after a $49 bill. Skip this place and find something else. Trust us.

L

Food is raw and repelling. DO NOT COME unless you are absolutely going to die without eating anything. Eating tree or snow out there is even better!

J
Jake

The food was inedible. Our chicken strips were like rubbery jerky. They must have been many hours, if not several days old. Our fruit cups were moldy. The food here is a complete health hazard. The service was terrible. The cashier insisted they do not have bags, however their takeout bags were visibly right there on the counter, which we helped ourselves to. They prepared our order as dine-in when we ordered it to-go. They tried to convince us to eat-in to avoid repackaging, then had an attitude when we declined. Lastly, they forgot one of our beverages that we paid for. Avoid this place, it's like a ski resort cafeteria with lazy staff and bad food. I'll never go back.

J
Joseph Forteza

I consider this as just throwing away our time and money. Subpar meals, inadequate hygiene protocols especially in the (men) washroom, and a setup and design that mirrors that of a correctional facility add up to unavoidable dissatisfaction. You can comfortably fit in here if you are not fussy, so dig into your food at your own peril!

C
Caitlin Gilbert

Warning, be very careful if you order the chicken here! Ordered the chicken tenders for our son on 2/22/2024 and one was still raw! So glad I tore it into smaller pieces to give to him, so I noticed before he ate it. Overall, very disappointed by this place. Selection is very limited. I ordered BLT and it was terrible. I generally like crispy bacon, but the bacon was so crispy it was like a rock. A BLT from Nations hamburgers is better, and that is a low standard. Fries are extremely salty. I never write reviews, but just really wanted to warn about the chicken.

R
Rikesh Patel

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! Just take a look at the pictures and see for yourself. $4.25 for a portion of fries and u get half a box. The chicken burger barely had chicken and the all the food was luke warm at a best. The staff behind the counter feel like they are doing you a favour with such attitude. If you don't want to work then don't as you are ruining the Yosemite experience for everyone coming. The deck serving pizza is super fresh and the staff are friendly. I guess the lady working at the grocery store next to the deck was right about the food at the base camp eatery. Don't know why people have to be given such poor food!

I just went here and it was awful!!! Ever bit of it!! I ordered by kiosk chicken strips and fries(for $18!), you then wait to here your number called. I ordered for to-go and they gave me a open dish. After asking for a to-go box, the guy literally dumped the food in a box all mad. I walked 2 minutes back to my room and I recieved 2 tiny cold chicken strips, and old cold fries! They gave me dill dip for a dipping sauce! I had to pay for the other dipping sauce! I had intentions of going to the nicer sit down restaurant next door at 4:30pm, but they didnt open until 5pm. You are better off buying groceries and bringing them instead of eating in this cafeteria style place with gross, cold food!

T

I paid $12 for a pizza, and every single slice was burnt. When I went to the counter to ask about it, the staff told me that they had too many orders and that this was the best they could do. I’m honestly confused — does being busy mean customers are expected to accept burnt food? Charging $12 for this level of quality, along with this kind of response, is unacceptable.

W
Wayne Clark

I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. It was dense and tasteless, liking chewing rubber, only the roll was satisfactory. The prices are reasonable but the quality of the food is utterly unacceptable. It’s best to just bring cold sandwiches and salads (in a large cooler) from home or purchase these items from a local deli as you drive to the Park.

Great place to eat, lively space. The pizza was the worst I have ever had. The sauce and cheese took up less than half of the surface area; it claimed to be 1200 calories but could not have been more than 500. The cheese and bread were near tasteless, which at least made it easier to eat.

A

No possible way is this rating legit. Where do I start? The bun for burger… super low quality. It was almost like it was disintegrating as I was eating the burger. They forgot the bacon but did correct it. Don’t waste your money on the burger sauce. You can do a mix of ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise and that’s free. Skip the fries if you’re looking for that crispy unhealthy goodness. The so-called crispy chicken sandwich is almost like chicken salad with some sort of crunchy add-on sprinkled over it. The coleslaw‘s got to be the worst I’ve ever had was some tangy aftertaste that left me thinking the ingredients had spoiled. It could help if they warmed or toasted the buns. They need something to help. Warm food with cold buns isn’t very complimenting. The fountain drinks. Don’t waste your time. If I had to guess, every one of them was flat and watery. The attendant said they would check it out but my guess is they just say that to everyone. I tried Coke zero and Diet Coke and both were the same. I don’t think the carbonation is working on that system. They definitely don’t have the right mixture of syrup. My guess is to how the rating could be more than a 2 is they have a bunch of starving hikers that pretty much anything is good.
