I am not sure why there's so many haters for this restaurant. The food is really good the service is excellent and yes the hostess could be friendlier. But the experience overall is why my wife and I keep coming back year after year from the US. And besides there's not a lot of tourists here. It reminds me of places my wife and I used to hang out in Miami and Los Angeles. Must stop for whenever we visit Guadalajara amongst other places.

Hands down the best casual upscale seafood restaurant In Guadalajara both locations are great. I prefer the original location but both met my expectations, the only thing I did not like was the cannot accommodate classic cocktails other than that Wonderful experience always.

Best oysters I have ever had. Amazing bar Gets busy very fast. Had to wait 15 minutes for a table, but still worth the wait. Bear in mind it was a Saturday afternoon. Still best seafood and great drinks. Service was amazing.

The restaurant is located in the business area of Guadalajara, Andares, they are priced to match the environment , the experience is superb and service excellent. That is why they are always busy and people prefer to eat here over other restaurants in the area. Recommend the location when you have an expense account or taking clients out for dinner. Excellent and fresh seafood as: red snappers, oysters, baby calamari, scallops, octopus, tuna. I recommend you the selection of 12 oysters where you can taste different varieties of it.

OK ~~> it’s not a 5 star restaurant .... BUT the food and service and atmosphere are great. #1. The food quality was great - try the grilled oysters 2. The service was excellent - food recommendations and attentive 3. This is an outdoor venue but it lively at night and I thoroughly enjoyed. Lastly, try the local beer ~~> Minerva :-) ENJOY!

Fantastic food, and some of the best oysters you can get. The place was very busy, a lot of people were eating in the outdoor patio area. Even with how busy it was. the customer service was top notch. They were quick at attending you, taking your order, and delivering your meal. I highly recommend trying the dulce de leech volcano. Super tasty.

El servicio impecable, el ambiente de 10, la comida no tanto. Pan quemado, tartar de atun regular, los tuétanos se les cayeron al servir y los volvieron a montar en la mesa y los sirvieron así, como si nada... nada espectacular y me parece que debería regresar a volver a probar algunos otros platillos, hay mucha gente que lo ama, quisiera averiguar porque. El lugar es bonito.

Muy buena experiencia en general, buen servicio y buenos ingredientes. Recomendadas todas las ostras y el pescado zarandeado Lo que no me gustó mucho fue el ceviche docena y la hamburguesa. Recomiendo hacer reserva y llegar unos 30 min antes. Hay una zona de espera en donde te sirven bebidas. Ubicado en un centro comercial premium

El ambiente está agradable, hay buena música, la comida está fresca y buena. El servicio es un poco lento, a pesar de que no estaba lleno el lugar, tardaron mucho en tomar nuestro pedido y no lo trajeron completo así que tuvimos que esperar para que todos pudiéramos comer. Es una buena opción si quieres comer mariscos, en especial ostiones.

Servicio 10/10 La comida es rica. De repente no sé si las porciones y lo que te ofrecen vale lo que te cobran. Pero en general buena experiencia.

Llegamos poco antes de las 14 horas y aún tenían mesas disponibles. Servicio atento y amable pedimos ensalada, ostiones , crab Roll y un pepito de filete. Muy sabroso todo solo una falla en la preparación del volcán de leche quemada que debido al tiempo limitado que llevamos, tuvimos que cancelar.

La Docena in Andares, Guadalajara, is a must-try for seafood lovers. The pulpo, and the Rockford oysters are amazing. The crab roll and ceviche tostadas are also excellent. Excellent service and nice atmosphere.

First came here 2 years ago for a table of 4, but on this occasion was a table of 9 & wait time was 30 minutes on a Saturday later afternoon! Super busy & super noisey! As for the food 😋 was not disappointed 😋 Staff were efficient & friendly. Price per head worked out to about $58 pp.

Seafood, especially fresh shellfish, is really really good. The ambiance and atmosphere are great, seems like everyone it’s having a good time. The only thing that is preventing a 5 star rating is the organizing. Our main dishes came out late, the waiters and staff were confused about where to deliver the food, our appetizers were left at another table and it took us 2 hours to just get “quick” lunch. But, if you have the time, this place is a good choice. Just, be patient.

Everything was great, except the service. They were very nice but nor to organize. Seems like they often forget about our order. We never got one of our drinks and the food took a while. I'm not sure is the prices here are in dollars or pesos. I am assuming they are dollar amounts.

Foods más great and Service a little slow. But the food preparation chefs came out and recommended some other appetizers that were great, tha aquachile was fantastic.

He sido cliente frecuente de La Docena Oyster Bar & Grill - Andares y siempre lo he considerado un referente en mariscos en Guadalajara. Sin embargo, en esta última visita noté algunos cambios. Las ostras no se sentían tan frescas como en ocasiones anteriores y el ceviche tatemado, que era uno de mis favoritos, parece haber tenido ajustes en la receta que modificaron su sabor característico. Sigue siendo un buen lugar con excelente ambiente y servicio, pero cuando algo funciona tan bien, mantener la consistencia es clave. Espero que pronto regrese al nivel que lo distingue.

La comida es muy buena, realmente buena, el servicio es malo por qué no tienen sufiencientes meseros, los meseros no son atentos JAMÁS preguntaron nada siempre se les tuvo que insistir venir a la mesa para ser atendidos. Pedí mi trago sin sal, fue mal echo culpa del mesero, lugar limpio exleente lugar pero si te hacen pasar mal rato por el servicio

Todo bien la atención y el ambiente, el único pero es lo más importante la comida pedí de bebida un coco , el que me llevaron o no se si todos así estén muy viejo hasta en la imagen de observa la corteza muy gruesa de viejo y el agua pareciera que le ponen agua normal para diluir o no se no sabia a coco natural no se si usan el recipiente para dar pinta de natural pero sabía fatal yo que vengo de la costa se identificar muy bien los cocos , y esos camarones que pedí no sabían a nada tenía buena presentación pero lo que importa es el sabor, además de mencionar que tuve que esperar de 40 minutos para esperar mesa y que decepción.

El callo muy bueno y el aguachile tatemado tmb, pero pedimos un spicy tuna de Juniko y traía un pedazo duro, no supimos ni que era, y el pescado no estaba fresco. Lo devolvimos y no nos pidieron perdón, ni nos dieron seguimiento al respecto. Se nos hizo raro, normalmente nos gusta mucho

Came for a business luncheon and it was the worst dining experience in Guadalajara. Very embarrassing! Lots of staff standing around. No one seemed to care if we got drinks, our food, additional things requested, like sauces or a menu Wine was poured by one person, asked for a second glass, was shamefully told it must be poured by a specific wine pouring specialists, but that person got around to pouring it when our bill came. It wasn’t the same person who poured the first glass. Ridiculous. Ordered the whole day catch fish. At most well established restaurants patrons would expect it would be filet table side. Nope, here’s your plate, pick away. When I finally got to it, it tasted like it had been cured in salt, no mention of this on the menu. When we asked the server about it, instead of fixing or apologizing, there was an excuse “it’s the soy sauce” not sure that’s relevant when it’s inedible. Left spending waaaay too much, hungry, and embarrassed for selecting the restaurant for a business meeting. The trifecta of dining disappointment. Heard the table next to us complain he wanted his steak cooked slightly more, server walked away, never came back and his dining guests had already finished their meals. Just horrible service. Can’t Imagine how long they will be in business treating paying guests like this. So many other options in the area. Go ANYWHERE else.

AO “Fine diner”

Really slow service, the waiter got my order wrong and while we waited for the second course which took a long time, asked about the dish and he said that wasn’t what I ordered and he was really rude about it, I ended up paying for a steak when I wanted a Pepito and on top of that they charged me for the bread! Is really noisy and the wine by the glass is really a small portion. The desserts are overly sweet and extremely small.

I've been here 7 times. Normally the food is pretty good, however the last time I went I order the oysters and they gave me one that was bad. It gave me a stomach infection. Make sure to check the oysters, if they look old then send them back.

Éste lugar me gustaba un chingo, sobretodo porque traen marisco de mi tierra (Baja). Pero el 26 de septiembre de 2025 fuimos a comer y pedimos la Oyster Chowder y un pescado a las brasas y agua mineral. Esa comida me causó intoxicación alimenticia. Fue mi último alimento y el único fuera de casa. Nunca regreso.

Servicio MUY lento, tardaron 30 minutos en traernos nuestras bebidas.... la comida estaba MALA. Con decirles que ahorita mismo traigo una infección estomacal por haber comido los ostiones de ahi ayer (mayo 25 2025) En resumen una muy mala experiencia con el servicio lento y la comida mala.

El servicio de mi mesero fue pésimo no supo resolver en un tema tan básico como un café mal hecho, y durante la cena varías veces olvido cosas solicitadas y para el nivel de restaurante esto ya debe tenerse resuelto por que solo me hacen pasar un mal momento cosa que no vengo a pasarla y menos pagando, vengo a disfrutar no a discutir con mi mesero. OJO a sus superiores.

Worst restaurant experience ever. I ordered po boy sandwich with shrimp they proceeded to tel me that they didn’t have shrimp after they served others at my table. So I ordered a oyster salad that took another 20mins that came out with disgusting burnt oyster which I didn’t eat and still got charged. By far the worst restaurant I been to.
