Dinner with my wife and daughter who is living in Brooklyn for a 4 month college co-op. Best restaurant experience I have had in a long time. Server was engaging and gladly helped us make some meal substitutions. Food was excellent. Atmosphere was warm and charming. A little noisy but we were fine. We were never rushed and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Great Italian food and service. We had a large party and the staff was very accommodating. I had the lasagna which was excellent, and a very good portion. My wife had the eggplant ravioli which she raved about. It a busy restaurant, so reservations are suggested.

Classy joint with old school Italian cuisine. Service was great, staff were extra friendly and the food was phenomenal! Been eating here for the last 5 years and every time I go I fall in love with it again.

The food was so amazing, it makes me want to take back a lot of the previous 5 stars I've given other places. I was talking about and dreaming of the food for the next few days. I've literally had "Give Noodle Pudding 5 Stars" on my to-do list. Service was amazing AND everything came out super fast. We ordered 14 different dishes, a bottle of wine, and I had a dessert port and every single thing was incredible. We didn't have to wait for a table, but when I go back I'd be happy to.

A
Amy Li

such a homely atmosphere, the waiters were the perfect combination of polite and friendly (they stop and wait while you pass them!), you could tell the duck mushroom ragu pasta was homemade, the tomato sauce was so light and fresh and saucy, and the duck was so tender. i will remember this place

I live in an Italian suburb and Noodle Pudding truly has some of the best food I've ever had. The workers were friendly and enthusiastic. My friends who live in Brooklyn Heights are completely in love with the restaurant. The food is superb and authentic. I recommend this 100% to anyone looking for good Italian food. The wait and price is completely worth it when you get this quality of food.

Honestly we would move out of the neighborhood if not for Noodle Pudding. With a menu that changes weekly to feature in season fish, meat and veggies, a staff that remembers you and a cast of regulars, Noodle Pudding is close to the most perfect restaurant. However, be prepared. They only take cash and they don’t take funny business. Parties over 6 need to call ahead. Bad Yelp reviews are proudly displayed over the toilets. Requests for substitutions are made at your own risk. The Pudding is busy enough to choose their customers. But the gruffness is part of the charm. This is a restaurant to return to, week after week. Always surprising and delicious. The food is of and part of the neighborhood. Settle in and enjoy. And if you don’t, we won’t miss ya.

I have eaten at Noodle Pudding many times. The food is authentic and excellent. Service is attentive. It’s noisy. Cash only. I love the calves liver.

Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. And astoundingly cheap, for the most part. Must-try in Brooklyn. Most of the pasta is made fresh in-house and is delicious, but you can't go wrong. If you're big in fish, try the catch of the day specials.

Probably the best restaurant in downtown Brooklyn. It gets really busy because the food is awesome and the prices are fair. The bar is excellent, the food is amazing. It is cash only which can be inconvenient for most; but since I'm an OG I kind of love it. They will also take a local check.

Love Noodle Pudding. We had dinner last evening and nothing disappointed us! The razor clams and mussels were delicious as well as other appetizers. Entrees and desserts perfect, The service is friendly and professional without being over bearing. Atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious. Not many restaurants like this left in NYC.

This is a hidden gem! Great food, great drinks. Staff is attentive. Very homey atmosphere! Only draw back is that it's Cash only so bring plenty. Other than that, you won't regret coming here! I had the Pumpkin 🎃 soup and it was MIND BLOWINGLY Tastey. Everything we ordered was delicious. I will definitely come back.

This is a terrific local independently owned place, and an old fashioned place in the best Brooklyn tradition. Almost expected Billy Joel to drop in and order a bottle of red... Great foid, good prices, warm atmosphere. Cash only, so visit the ATM first, but do go!

Outstanding. First time dining after hearing about it for years. Our meal was fantastic, the service was personal and attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance of the restaurant was comfortable and lively, the execution and prep on every dish was just top notch. Will come back here again and again.

Must know: they accept only cash! Really good Italian restaurant in downtown Brooklyn. Slightly on the higher side of pricing (especially since it’s cash only!) but not unsatisfactory. The servers were nice and helpful. Would highly recommend the lasagna and tiramisu.

Outstanding food, attentive service, and a hometown atmosphere. We are from Florida and doing a quick Manhattan weekend. We took the train over to Brooklyn just to see what it had to offer and happened upon this place. Boy were we lucky! What a treat and a joy Noodle Pudding turned out to be! The food was absolutely fabulous and the whole staff treated you like one of their own!

Excellent - and I say this having grown up in the Italian restaurant business in NYC. I went with my family. We had all the courses, true Napolitano style, and the food was exceptionally flavorful and fresh (we each commented how clean we felt after our meals.) The owner was kind and attentive. The staff was exceptional as well. I'm just so impressed!

Great down to earth Italian meal. Upscale quality at can’t beat prices, with a great local area atmosphere. I’ve had better, but not often, and at the prices their charging... couldn’t ask for a better Italian meal. Everything on the menu is amazing - there is no bad dish. Order based on what you feel like, not what may be ‘great’ as everything is!

We went with a large group of people, got there early on a Wednesday. They accommodated us even though we did not have a reservation . The drinks started flowing, the vibe was lively and we were loud. The staff was attentive, the food was exceptional, and everything was fresh. Excellent from start to finish. We will definitely return.

Can’t remember when I added this place to my list, but it’s been on for ages. Finally I was able to cross it off on a Sunday night. Not surprise, there was a short line when we got there around 7ish. The cacio e pepe can choose to add zucchini and egg yolk, which made the simple pasta more interesting and flavorful. Eggplant ravioli is also great, topped with tomato, basil and mozzarella cheese. What can go wrong with this combo? We did fried calamari as an appetizer, the calamari meat is very tender and is breaded perfectly, crispy but not too heavy. I prefer spicy mayo to tomato sauce. Service is great too. Love this long time family run and cash only place;)

Easily one of the best dining experiences I've ever had in New York. Noodle Puddings is a true, unique gem of a restaurant. The staff is so sweet, sincere and authentic - you can tell the staff takes great pride in their work and the restaurant. The food is incredible - and the prices? $14 cocktails and $5 house wine... come on. Where are you going to find such high quality and affordable food prices like this in New York? Let alone in an affluent neighborhood like Brooklyn Heights. Food and drinks highlights were: martini served with shaker for remaining liquid; super tender calamari; lamb ragu with whole chunks of lamb (not ground!); and homemade fusilli that was so tender and looked like asparagus. What a special restaurant. I'm excited to go back and share it with my friends.

Excellent dinner place in Brooklyn! We shared salmon, pasta, and chicken Milanese and these were all delicious. The panna cotta was a great way to end the meal. Cute atmosphere and we were lucky to get a table near the window. No reservations, cash only but reasonable for 4 of us.

Noodle Pudding. Be honest — you’re thinking Asian cuisine, right? Siiiike! It’s actually Italian, and not just any Italian — we’re talking Ischia-style comfort food straight from the Campania region of southern Italy. A clever play on the owner’s last name and a neighborhood gem that’s been feeding Downtown Brooklyn since 1995. Let’s talk food, because wow. We kicked things off with stuffed zucchini flowers, bruschetta, and octopus — each one better than the last. My main? Shrimp risotto with corn and zucchini flowers. Hands down, the BEST risotto I’ve ever had. Creamy, flavorful, perfection in every bite. But dessert… let’s just say the basil panna cotta deserves its own standing ovation. Light, refreshing, and absolutely unforgettable. I promise, you won’t find a panna cotta this good anywhere else. A word to the wise: come hungry (portions are generous) and come prepared (it’s cash only). Oh, and did I mention this was my birthday dinner? Chef Tony, you made it one for the books. Grazie! 🎉

My wife and I have been coming here as our favorite date restaurant for 6 years. Michael the bartender is funny and always on top of things, making sure we know about anything on special, or splitting or dishes if we're sharing a plate. We love this restaurant!

M
Matt Ludwig

Hearty Italian with extremely friendly and accommodating service. All our dishes were excellent in terms of taste (including gluten free pasta which they paid extra attention to if there was gluten in the meatballs - thank you!), and were very generous in time of size. I'd recommend considering splitting a dish! It is cash only and marked clearly as such IMO. We definitely would love to come back as it feels like the family type of Brooklyn vibe we appreciate. A great spot in Brooklyn Heights!

Noodle Pudding has an enchanting atmosphere that transports you to a charming small European village. The food is simply exquisite, with a delightful array of flavors. The attentive service and staff make your dining experience truly memorable. It’s definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re accompanied by a loved one. I visited with my Menina ❤️

We have been customers since we moved to Brooklyn Heights in 1995. Even then it was a neighborhood gem. We celebrated many events, such as kid' Birthdays and my wife's surprise Birthday party, as well as just normal meals. Food is always great and the staff is top notch as well.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Noodle Pudding, and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that every part of the meal is enjoyable. The food at Noodle Pudding is exceptional. The noodles are cooked perfectly—tender with just the right amount of firmness. The standout dish, the pudding, is incredibly rich and creamy. Each dish shows careful preparation and high-quality ingredients. The menu offers a great variety of options, making it easy to find something you’ll love. The portion sizes are generous, so it’s perfect for sharing or enjoying a hearty meal on your own. Noodle Pudding is a fantastic choice for a delicious meal in a relaxed setting. It’s definitely a place I look forward to visiting again.

A wonderful cash only spot. The pasta was really tasty and our waiter was attentive and helpful. As an aside, their old fashioned is non-traditional with smashed cherries. It was okay but not what I expected. I’d absolutely go back for their pasta and perhaps not their cocktails.

This place hit the spot. It had a healthy dose of vegetarian options, including my favorite the pesto, dish. Fun ambiance too that feels authentic, homey, and lively. Would recommend. This place doesn’t take reservations ahead of time and is cash only, so plan accordingly.

Food was great, had a $15 bottle wine and they opened extended hours just because it was my friend's birthday and they told us to finish the cake before we leave even though they were closed. Loved the mushroom ravioli and gnocchi

Wonderful dinner experience with friends. Courteous and professional server accommodated us. Refreshing to visit an Italian restaurant where the menu is not cookie cutter - can't wait to return for the calf's liver or trippa alla Romana.

What a lovely restaurant this is! There's a great vibe here. Really strong representation of local diners and also people from slightly further afield (Jersey, etc) with a couple of tourists thrown into the mix. If there are only two of you then I highly recommend eating at the bar counter. Tom (the bartender) was amazing! He works that bar like an absolute demon but is really attentive to the diners at the counter. He's a credit to the restaurant. Great food, fabulous atmosphere! I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in Brooklyn.

Antonio, the chef-owner, does a fabulous job ensuring each delectable dish is done right. Be aware it is cash only. It is a very popular place so either arrive early 5-6:00 PM or be prepared to wait. Everything I have eaten here has been very tasty. There is a good wine list but the house red wine is fine and very inexpensive at $5 a glass or $15 for a bottle. They make their own pasta. Whole wheat or gluten free pasta can be ordered for a small extra charge. The only negative is that it tends to get noisy.

A

Cash only, but great fresh pasta. House red is $5 per glass Usually has a couple of great specials to choose from each night.

I haven't had a meal out this satisfying in a long time. My friend suggested this place for dinner as she had a good experience the last time she dined here, and I must agree. The entire meal was absolutely delicious. That being said, here are some notes about this place: - They are only open for dinner - from 5:30pm - They only take cash - They don't take reservations for parties of 6 or less - They invite you to go and wait for a table After a 45 minute wait for a table, my three friends and I finally got settled into a nice, rear-alcove, corner table. Our waiter came by to recommend one pasta special, but said the rest was whatever was on the menu. We went completely with the menu items, decided to share everything, and ordered the following: - Razor Clams Oreganata (4) - Clean, delicate clam flavor, dressed with a crust of seasoned bread crumbs and a squeeze of lemon juice. Yummy starter! - Crispy-Fried NJ Whiting (2) - Two crispy-fried whole whiting. I took half of one whiting with the head and ate the entire head! That's how delicate this fish was! Delicious! - Fried Calamari with Spicy Aioli and Lemon Wedge - Crispy, nicely-battered, good texture/bite to the calamari without being too chewy. Nicely flavored Aioli to go along with it, but not spicy at all to my palate. - Hand-cut Linguini with Clams, Zucchini, Cherry Tomatoes and Fresh Pepper - Homemade, al dente pasta with fresh clams so clean that they were delicate in flavor. The zucchini and cherry tomatoes added another layer of freshness and texture. The entire dish together tasted more like a light pasta primavera because there was very little clam flavor coming from the clams. It could have used a dash of clam juice, but it was still good. - Pappardelle Alla Vaccinara (oxtail ragu) with Pecorino Shavings - Homemade, al dente pasta coated with oxtail meat stewed tender. A hearty, meaty, chewy, flavorful bite with each forkful. This has a heavier, comforting mouthfeel compared to the pasta dish above. I liked having both of these dishes as a contrast in flavors and textures. - Roasted Whole Porgy - What my friends and I especially liked about Noodle Pudding was all of their locally sourced seafood. Not only do you support local fisheries and eat sustainable species, you eat the freshest caught seafood! This whole roasted Porgy was perfectly cooked! Evenly cooked and slightly crispy skin enveloped flaky, white, tender meat. Simply seasoned with a few rosemary sprigs inside its belly, the meat was still moist but fell off the bones easily. I love fish head, so I picked all of best morsels off of the entire fish head, especially the eyes! Fish lovers will love this dish! Dessert was: - Ricotta Cheesecake - More of a floured cake than a cheesecake, this delicious slice had bits of candied fruit that you would typically find in Panettone. Lightly sweet and moist, it also had bits of lemony flavor, which likely comes from the Citron. A lovely dessert that I would order again. - Panna Cotta with Fresh Berries - Silky, lightly sweet, and light are the best three ways to describe Noodle Pudding's take on my favorite dessert. Everytime I see panna cotta on the menu, I always havta order it. This one did not disappoint! The fresh berries that went along with it were sweet and ripe. A great complement! Overall, I had a delicious time at Noodle Pudding. Needless to say, I will be returning for more.

What a great restaurant we really enjoyed dinner here. The service and food were amazing. They don’t take reservations and are cash only which is kind of a pain especially at this price point. There’s an ATM 1/2 a block away which you can get charged $3 to do a withdrawal.

Things you need to know before you feast here: 1. Cash only, 2. No reservations and 3. You’ll wait and it could be 20 minutes like us tonight or 45. But I must said is worth it, Brooklyn Heights is charming enough to take a nice walk while you bide one’s time. Andy was quite the star tonight, he faces some great recommendations, from the Rigatoni allá norma to the Grilled octopus which is one of the best I’ve had in some time. Just simple but delicious, was one of those dishes that on its simplicity didn’t lack any depth of flavour or character. Another favourite for me was something my husband had years ago and all this time after was still mouthwatering, the Garlic bread with Calabrian chilli get it and have it with the Meatballs. Also amazing and worth mentioning the Tre colore salad and the Hanger steak. For dessert we took home the Chocolate espresso cake order it and have a night cap or a coffee with it. So come in, share some food, listen to your server, bring the cash and enjoy a tasty cozy meal. Will be back soon!

If you’re looking for a true hidden gem, look no further than Noodle Pudding! This cozy spot serves some of the most authentic and comforting Italian food I’ve had. Every dish feels like it was made with love and tradition. The pasta is always cooked to perfection—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully sauced. Their lasagna and gnocchi are absolute standouts, rich and hearty without being heavy. The seafood dishes are fresh and vibrant, and their veal and chicken entrées are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Don’t even think about skipping dessert—the tiramisu is heavenly, and the panna cotta is the perfect sweet finish. Beyond the food, the atmosphere makes the experience even better. It’s warm, inviting, and unpretentious—like dining in a true neighborhood trattoria in Italy. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel like family the moment you sit down. Noodle Pudding is the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again. A true Brooklyn treasure and a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine!

I loved the mushroom pasta, and the ambiance. The garlic bread with spicy sauce was a great treat, at the same time crunchy and fluffy. The swordfish tasted really good, but it was a bit dry. The staff was friendly, but slow, very clearly overwhelmed by the number of customers.

My husband and I LOVE this place. We have been living in this area for almost 5 years, and three of them we are regulars there. So my favorites: carpaccio, buratta with tomatoes (summer mostly), lasagna!!!, and any pasta on the menu actually, panna cotta, tiramisu, and extra dirty martini 😉 Great place for a date night. No reservations and cash only! Really appreciate this place and all the personal there. Guys, you are doing a great job. Thank you!!! 👏🏻

Super cozy spot with authentic Italian food! Nothing fancy, just fantastic quality that you don’t get at a lot of other places. As a heads up: They don’t take reservations and only accept cash. I enjoyed this restaurant. For an appetizer I had a huge tomato with mozzarella salad. It was great. The tomato was very fresh and juicy. I had the spaghetti bolognaise which was very good. The portion was a little small. For dessert I had a delicious tiramisu. The biggest drawback was cash only. The atmosphere was cute and quaint.

G

Great atmosphere. Very cozy and friendly space. Would recommend dining near the front of the restaurant as it seemed more comfy than the back. Felt a bit rushed by the service though that’s not uncommon in NYC. The focaccia was ok, a bit too thick and chewy. The pappardelle with oxtail ragú was very good though unremarkable. Appreciated that there was an affordable $5 glass of house red wine on the menu. Overall good place to go if you’re in the neighborhood and want a nice Italian meal in a good atmosphere.

Service was mediocre, as our waiter was a little rude and there were several spills on the table, and the restaurant is quite cramped, and the food is quite overpriced, but the experience wasn’t bad.

Great little Italian place in Brooklyn. It was recommended by a doorman and we loved it. Food and atmosphere were great. the service was a bit slow. They are a cash only establishment and they do not have an ATM inside. So bring $$. We will definitely eat there again when we visit next.

Can’t fault the food - excellent seafood and the pasta cooked nicely al dente. The restaurant itself could use a little love and attention, much of it worse for wear (particularly the bathroom urgently needs a refurb!).

I love a restaurant that is old school and completely consistent. That's hard to pull off. This is a very busy neighborhood joint that's like taking a trip back in time. A good trip back in time. The waiter made us laugh when we asked about their cocktails. He said don't ask for anything that you couldn't have ordered in a bar 25 years ago. The food is comforting and generous. The service is excellent.

Some of the best desserts I’ve ever had, loved their tiramisu and chocolate espresso cake. The entrees and appetizers were a bit lacking on their New Year’s Eve menu, I think they are known for their pastas so will come back to try their pastas in the future. Cash only.

Definitely worth the trip, although not a 5 star. As everyone noted, this is CASH ONLY. Before 10pm, nearest ATM is 5-10 mins, after 10pm it's 10 mins so do bring enough cash for a good tip. We went without a booking at 9pm for 5 people. Indoors did have an excellent vibe but we were starving so were happy to sit in the outside covered section without waiting 40 mins. Even in December at 9 degrees (European) with the heater at the back it was definitely not even needed for jackets. Front of house is amazing, so friendly and chatty. As we were outside, getting attention or staff became tricky but everyone was very nice when we did. Despite it's reputation, we went for the garlic bread with homemade chilli oil, which is 100% a winner & still sad we didn't buy any. Do save some if you get pasta to mop up the juices as it went so well with the lasagne. The cacio e Pepe with asparagus & egg yolk went down very well, and the wine selection isn't outstanding but decent enough. We skipped dessert but everything looked great. I'd 100% recommend this as a safe, delicious, and fun bet for a group dinner. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful cozy, authentic Italian. Loved the buzz of the restaurant, good for a family dinner. Bruschetta was really good as well as the rice balls. Pasta was tasty and a big portion. Cash only & no reservations

A really cute and cozy place for home styled Italian food. The staff are lovely and really kind. Its one of those places you sit at for a long time and just enjoy everyone’s company. TThe food is pretty good too and priced fairly. They have tortellini in bone broth which I haven’t been able to find anywhere else. It’s a classic Bologna dish. Lots of other options with traditional Italian dishes. Options for vegetarians too. I’d come back again!

-Friendly staff -Great bread/ dipping sauce (but we had to ask for it) -Got the Gnocchi with butter and sage (after reading all the rave reviews)-- it was good, but both my friend and I received the dishes and they were barely warm, if not cold. - My other friend got the risotto, which was a big hit. -Overall, it was a good dining experience, but I think that without the glass of wine before (while waiting for a table) and the bottle of wine during dinner, I would have been a little bit more sensitive to the pitfalls.

Have not been in a while but busy as always even on a Tuesday night. Sadly I would say the food was medium level and not as good as before. Wish they slowed down a bit to step up the food again. High energy place for sure.

Kinda shocked. This had been my favorite Italian restaurant for decades. Reliable, delicious, casual/romantic with super-professional service. The only problem had been the wait for a table on a weekend night, but for such a good place, it was worth it. Went last night for the first time in almost a year, only to discover that the prices have jumped and the quality has nose-dived. Lobster risotto was chalky AND watery. The hand-cut noodles were overcooked and bland (while also over-chilied). The service is still friendly and professional (staff seem to stay forever) and there is ever that $5 glass of wine. But don't let that fool you into thinking this place is still uniquely affordable or especially good.

The service by Ann was stellar, and the timing of food was great, but the gnocchi al pomodoro (overcooked and lacking flavor) and shrimp risotto (undercooked) didn't meet expectations. The tiramisu was good and the ricotta pumpkin cheesecake was more like pumpkin pie than cheesecake.

Food : Okay, not good nor bad Price : overprice for the taste (but it's new york so that is expected) Atmosphere: Good Service: the worst I experienced Very disappointing, waited for 15 minutes in the doorway before someone acknowledged us. All employees were gathered in circle talking behind the bar, while only one server was running plates everywhere. After getting annoyed by the wait I ask the employee how long to get seated and the boss looking guy comes immediately tell us there is no current seat available. After few minutes he seats us and we notice many empty tables around adding to thw annoying feeling for the place. The atmosphere looked nice and so did the menu, so getting exited to eat we order. Our server didn't look friendly nor smiled which gave a feeling of being unwelcomed. The food arrives, looks okay, my lasagna is cold on the sides. I got way better italian food at way cheaper restaurant. My companion almost didn't eat her plate at all, so I think she wasn't impressed either. Looks like many good review but I don't recommend this place.

Place has had a recent inundation of customers after some TikTok influencers “discovered it”. Hoards of folk from Murray Hill, Williamsburg and LES flock there to take photos of Noodle Pudding’s food. As a result, the place has gone from long-time popular establishment with nice staff to feeling like one of those restaurants in Amalfi Coast who treat you with contempt as just another tourist. I came in for the first time in months recently with my wife and felt like I was in a diner - waiters rushed us to order everything at once 5 minutes after sitting down and were rude when we said we hadn’t decided yet, receipt dropped at our table the moment we finished our main course. Starters arrived within 2minutes of ordering, suggesting they weren’t fresh. Noticed same with neighbouring tables who’d just sat down. Main course came out before starters had been cleared away. $195 meal forced through in just over an hour. This is somewhere people have enjoyed going (and tipping) for years and years. Please don’t turn them away. The TikTok girlies and their boyfriends will discover a new restaurant soon.

Sadly, a charming spot lacking personality. It is a neighborhood spot which I wanted to love, however my experience was extremely underwhelming. I work in the industry too and never leave feedback/reviews publicly because I prefer to provide feedback in person / on the spot (if at all). However, throughout our 2 hour meal, we were not given the opportunity to since our server never checked in with us after taking our order. To start, when we got seated, we greeted our server “hi, how are you?” but he just dropped menus and walked away without saying anything. He took our orders and that was the last we saw of him before he came back to drop the dessert menu. If he had checked in, we would have let him know that the Foccacia tasted stale and dry, and the pappardelle with oxtail ragu was too sweet and had some weird garnish (which was probably meant to be parsley but definitely wasn’t and left a bad aftertaste), and I had bad clams in my linguine and clam pasta. Our server was often congregating with other employees by the bar when he could have touched the table. We weren’t offered new plates between courses (other tables were), but that wasn’t the deal breaker. It was the impersonal and lack luster attitude of our server that really made it an overall disappointing experience. On a positive note, the host and bartender were friendly and pleasant when we first arrived.

Ambience and staff were pretty good. Server was friendly and kinda funny. Garlic bread, pastas all came out cold. The sauce on the cacio e pepe was pooled at the bottom, not thick enough to stay on the pasta. Cantaloupe was not ripe.

Food was alright (not meeting expectation tho) but the service from the female staff was very unkind. Not all staffs were unkind, but she was particularly making things uncomfortable. You have some room to improve :)

Well as a brooklynite it saddens to me to say , I don’t know if they changed the cook but when I went 6/20/25 i was highly disappointed ALL OF THE DISHES WE ORDERED were doused with a ton of oil the restaurant was busy & the cook thought that by rushing the meals out putting them in oven with a ton of oil that would satisfy the customer & quick service NOT ❗️the lasagna was dried out except for center sauce was cheap the chicken with potatoes every bite was dripping with oil finally the eggplant parmigiana was another great disappointment. This WAS a pretty decent place to eat. Please change your cook 🧑‍🍳

We waited 20 min before the server took our order—we were seated immediately, but waited 15 min before we got our menu. I ordered the lamb sausages —I asked for it not to be charred. It was under-cooked. They should have boiled it and grilled it quickly afterwards. My husband ordered the salmon also under-cooked but he said it tasted good. It looked like they were short-handed. We live across the street from them. We have not eaten there in months bc our last experience was not so good but wanted to give them an another chance.. There are better Italian restaurants nearby. I hope they will bring back the quality they had a few years back.

9.14.19 - no reservations for parties fewer than 6. Fills up super fast from the open. Generally friendly staff with a lot of regulars. Its chaotic order among the staff; we were without menus for 10 minutes because there were none for us to review. The whole Orata was done really well, but the pastas were over seasoned to the point where I was bloated until my ring was too tight to wear. We waited an hour for our table, which seems normal. In truth, there is way better Italian food for what you pay and wait for, even though the menu is mainly centered food from Naples. It's 2-stars because it's not worth the money, effort, or wait-time, but that's just my experience.

This is a really cozy and cute neighborhood spot which I want to love, however both times we’ve been the food has really disappointed. Come for the atmosphere, but go somewhere else for tasty Italian food.

I want to like Noodle Pudding so badly. It has a lot going for it - cozy, family friendly, and the wait staff seems truly nice. The place was packed on what i thought would be a slow holiday weekend, so people clearly like it. The food however, was truly awful. I ordered a “seafood ragu” which was nothing close to a ragu. Instead, i was served pasta with watery tomato sauce no better than what comes from a can , surrounded by some mediocre seafood. Nothing like the slow cooked meat and vegetables a ‘ragu’ should be. My wife’s cacio e Pepe was slightly better, but still odd that the additional zucchini came as raw strips added in. Our side of broccoli was bland and tasteless (even our 4 year old refused to eat it, he eats broccoli all the time at home). Two stars as our toddler loved the lasagne.

Decent restaurant, food was ok. My order was not as described on the menu but it was pretty good so didn't make a fuss. I get up to use the restroom and can chased by a bartender asking if I need help. I explain I need to use the restroom and get asked if I am dining there, the restroom is customers only. I just spent $300 at this restaurant to get publicly embarrassed by someone who thinks I don’t belong there. Was just thinking I should come back with my coworkers as I work in the area but after this experience, I left feeling embarrassed and unwelcome.

One star for this venue, sadly . Just two moms trying to offer a New Years celebration with their children while their husbands are hard at work. Reservations were made last minute and we were very grateful for the accommodations! When we arrived with many well behaved children, suddenly the reservations that were made were questioned ? Stating that those reservations were cancelled by a caller. Reminded us of the price for their pre fixed menu and that it was cash only … Yes we knew that as you told us during the reservation call. The price was a bit much as others would see it for children but it was fine this was last minute ! The menu was surely not one for children again last minute and was ok we would make it work . But the venue ran out of a dish that would work for us. Also food allergies made known , appetizer served with the allergen, the solution was to replate the course? Not medically the correct course of action . From the start I believe the issue was the amount of children. Leaving me with the impression of not being kid friendly ! As an honest parent if my children are not well behaved I would not dare to inconvenience others so we can eat I would go to McDonald’s! Patrons of the restaurant stating wow kids so well behaved !! So if in fact the restaurant was worried we would be a bother I’m glad we were not .. wondering if we came without children if the food would have been available and served allergy free!

The place always has delicious food. I came with my partner on a busy Friday night and the host was very slow and disorganized Im not sure why they only has 2 waiters working. This place needs major improvement on management organizations and more workers. After waiting an hour and fifteen minutes we got an outdoor table—>very disappointed!

0 Star will Never return. After a beautiful walk over the Brooklyn Bridge with my wife she decided to have Italian food, so I search for good Italian restaurants within the vicinity and noodle pudding popped up due to its "high" rating. Upon arrival we would not greeted by anyone we had to wait for the bartender to acknowledges and flag someone down so that we can be seated... meanwhile a couple of head of us were greeted and seated with ease. Once we were seated it took literally over 6 minutes for us to receive a menu so that we can place an order. Other patrons that came in after us we're seated and given a menu immediately. Our waitress was extremely unwelcoming and did not recommend anything from the menu. Already feeling uncomfortable I just ordered calamari for myself and shrimp fettuccine for my wife. The calamari came out pretty quickly and indeed tasted very good, but we waited so long for the shrimp fettuccine that I thought they sent someone to the Hudson River to find the shrimp. After noticing patrons that came in after us receiving their entrees, I realized something was up and decided to leave. I spoke to an individual within the facility and let them know the reason why I was leaving. I just hope that we weren't treated like this due to the color of our skin.

You won’t find a worse Italian restaurant in New York. Every dish was a disaster — the pasta and everything else were just terrible. I truly hope they change the chef as soon as possible. Also, note that the restaurant only accepts cash! This was the worst dinner I’ve had in New York — or in my entire life.

Actually this is my first time maybe i rank restaurant 1 star, for many reasons. The experience was disappointed, the food look like already made before order just but it in microwave, many items in the menu not available, I can’t finish my plate actually. They only accept cash!!. This is the worst Italian food i ever had.
