Arrived at 1:15pm on a sunday, no lines to get in the place and it was packed. Was able to get a seat and order quickly. Food was great, i had a himalayan ginger garlic chicken curry, an almond cashew salmon curry, garlic naan and basmati rice. Service waa solid, was asked multiple times checking in on how found my food. And was available when any requests were needed Atmosphere was nice, light music and great for casual conversations for a group of people
Wow! Never had Nepalese food before and now I love it! Our waitress, Sarchina (who is from Nepal), walked us thru the menu and everything she recommended was delicious! We walked by the kitchen and saw them hand making their famous Momo dumplings. Our favorite was Yarsa Chat. Healthy, yummy and layers of flavor. We are going to research how we can make it at home.
We had the best dinner at this quaint hidden gem! From the moment we sat down, our server was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about our vegan dietary restrictions. She immediately pointed us toward some amazing dishes and made us feel completely comfortable and welcomed. We started with the Jomsom Cauliflower appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. For our mains, we enjoyed the ginger garlic curry mixed veggies with tofu, basmati rice, and vegan garlic naan to top it all off. Every single dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared. What truly made our evening unforgettable, though, was our attentive and thoughtful server. Her kindness and care elevated the entire experience. We’re so grateful for such wonderful service and can’t wait to come back!
Super friendly staff, made you feel like you’re dining with family. The food was incredibly delicious, flavorful and very reasonably priced. A wonderful neighborhood spot- will definitely be coming back again and again!
This place is so fire. The portions are massive, it’s so affordable and the service is really quick and kind. It’s definitely on the causal side but nicely done imo. The food is great and lots of options. Really good paneer and kale chaat. Nalin loved the dal.
I ordered a Nepalese curry, cheese naan and sake. The local sake was ok but the food was phenomenal and among the best I have had especially the naan. Unlike many places, when I asked for spicy they offered anything as spicy so I took my pick. The chicken in the curry was perfectly cooked and the naan was well cooked as well. I would have preferred the heat amped up a little bit more but it was still quite nice. I would come back again
By far the best Nepalese food we’ve had in years. Our first time here and had the tried and trues- saag paneer, chicken tikka masala and almond curry chicken, mango lasse, mint lemonade, garlic cheese naan. This place did not disappoint! We asked for medium spicy but will try spicier next time. Delighted to find this spot which is near our apartment. We loved it so much we may make it our ever Sunday ritual. Music and service was also A+! Thank you YARSA.
My sister and I had a great experience here. Sachina was a very good server, very kind and provided immaculate service, truly. The food was bombb. The flavor in the almond cashew curry really hit the spot and honestly I’ll be coming again. Highkey it was a profound experience.
I love this place when I’m craving warm, comforting food. I usually just show up and they always seem to have a table available. As a vegetarian, there are so many great options, but my favorites are their aloo gobi and spinach‑tofu curry, served with naan, rice, mango chutney, and papadum. The portions are generous, flavorful, and filling. The atmosphere is nice and quiet, and for a very reasonable price, you get a lot of really good food.
Just went here for a large dinner after walking the city. The service was great, food was very tasty, and prices were great. Loved the chili momo, salads were bigger than you would think, and the kids enjoyed the butter chicken. They did a great job of sitting all 11 of us. Definitely on the list to return when we visit the city again.
Yarsa Napalese Cuisine in San Francisco offers an authentic and delightful journey for the taste buds, making it a must-visit for anyone craving high-quality South Asian flavors. Based on my recent order, everything was executed beautifully, from the rich curries to the fresh sides. The Stars of the Show Chicken Tikka Masala: This classic dish was a creamy revelation. The chicken was incredibly tender, and the sauce struck a perfect balance--rich and flavorful without being overly heavy or sweet. It's easily one of the best versions I've had in the city. Saag Curry Lamb: A true highlight! The lamb was cooked to perfection, falling apart with gentle pressure. The Saag (spinach) curry itself was deeply savory and earthy, seasoned masterfully to complement the meat. It had a wonderful, comforting depth of flavor. Sides & Bread Perfection Yellow Rice with Vegetables: This was a vibrant and flavorful accompaniment. The rice was perfectly cooked--fluffy and separate--and the inclusion of fresh, tender vegetables (carrots, peas, etc.) made it a substantive and refreshing side dish. Garlic Cheese Naan: Absolutely essential! The naan was warm, pillowy, and generously stuffed with melted cheese and fresh garlic. It wasn't greasy, and the balance of savory garlic and gooey cheese made it irresistible for dipping into the curry sauces. Overall Verdict Yarsa Napalese Cuisine delivers an exceptional dining experience. The ingredients taste fresh, the spices are complex and aromatic, and the preparation shows genuine care and expertise. If you're looking for fantastic Nepalese and Indian classics in San Francisco, look no further. This place is a gem! The service was great ! The waiter was very friendly and it was a nice vibe in. The restaurant. Highly Recommended Dishes: Chicken Tikka Masala and Saag Curry Lamb.
We had a welcome party at Yara before our daughter's wedding and Yara delivered more than expectation. Everything was perfect from the arrangement, execution, and service. Everything went very smoothly. Starting from the ambience, they decorated the restaurant with beautiful flowers making the event was elegant and welcoming. The food was outstanding. We had a lot of foodies attended, restaurants owners with Michelin stars and everyone was WOW by the qualities of the food, fresh, and excellent qualities. We had sushi with fresh fish. Had to say that the sushi (Salmon and tuna rolls) were top qualities like we had in Japan and in some Michelin Stars restaurants in US. We had Watermelon marinated in Sangria as a starter, Foie Gras Bonbon with Raspberry, Steak Tartar Cornetto, Lobster Croqueta, and the Wagyu Mini Burger was out of this world. The bun was soft and the burger was juicy and melted in your mouth. The desserts were decadent. The bar was flowing. Too bad we do not live in Mallorca, they really know how to do party from picking DJ for us, videographer, and service. I have never been to such a beautiful parties. They really know how to arrange a party. The best place to have an office, holidays parties. Well executed and the staff are super nice. Thank you Ivan from Yara who made our party the best ever.
We split the tikka masala. It was so delicious! One of the best I’ve had. The garlic naan was so flavorful and moist. Our server, Lisa, was incredibly sweet and attentive. She brought us a free dessert for my birthday that was absolutely delicious. The music, lighting, and art all created an ambiance for the perfect birthday dinner. So happy we ran across this little North Beach gem and we will be back!
We enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Yarsa Nepalese yesterday. Parking can be challenging yet doable. The interior is nicely done with Nepalese decor on the walls. I had the cashew cream curry with medium heat- delicious! My friend ordered the ginger curry and we decided this one had the most flavor. My other friend had the Saag paneer with lamb and found it tasty. We only ordered one rice and shared it, and still had some left, and the garlic naan was absolutely perfect. It was crispy and soft at the same time and full of flavor. Our server was sweet and accommodating. I will definitely return next time I’m in the area to try other dishes.
Enjoyed the food here but little strange curry comes without rice! It made the pricing to eat Indian Cuisine on higher side. Quantity of curry was good maybe as feedback they can improvise this by reducing some curry and adding rice/bread to the meal. Overall, service is good, serves fresh and tasty.
