Opiniones de Piccolino Restaurant Staten Island
Wonderful first time experience there last week. Was with a large group for my girlfriends birthday party dinner celebration. Excellent service, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. In addition the food was delicious. Highly recommend ordering the parapadilla, four different meats (steak, grilled chicken, spicy Mexican pork and chorizo), along with rice, beans, peppers, cactus. One of the best meals I've ever had. Will come again soon.
This Restaurant is the real meaning of an authentic Mexican food. We went on Sunday night for dinner for two people. When you enter the place you feel the touch from the decorations. We were seated and a menu was given to us. The waiter and staff are very polite and professional. The food were served 10 minutes sharp after we ordered. So here you will not wait long if you are hungry or in a rush. We ordered iguana tacos which were the best tacos i have ever had in my life for affordable price and fajita mix (beef, chicken and shrimps). The presentation is very good and the taste are perfect. Fresh ingredients is the key for the taste I believe. It was hot and full filing. The prices are little bit high for the fajita plate $28, but why to blame them with this high inflation and trying to make a profit. I would totally recommend this local business who is owned by a family who is working hard to give the best fot Staten island and to make a living. If you are near by Staten island or you are a resident you should consider trying this amazing place. And you will not regret it.give it a try
Love this place. Passed it many times and never knew ... wait staff was friendly kind and courteous. The Nachos platter was to die for.. I've never had one taste so real homade before everywhere else it was commercial grade... Not Here our dinners were fresh and stated extraordinary. I would recommend to all my followers to please try this place, You won't regret it...!!!☆☆☆☆☆.. My next trip back I'm 🤪 going to try thr Margheritas.....
La Iguana Azul was a great restaurant. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The food is amazing. The steak burrito is to die for. My son had the steak quesadilla and my wife had the chicken breast with rice and black beans. I will definitely be coming back.
Very good authentic Mexican. Chorizo Tacos met my high standards. Enchiladas were good, but I got the wrong order. I ordered the mole and received the green sauce. Not a huge deal. Still was good. Service was fine.
Beautiful restaurant. Amazing atmosphere, the food is on point. A must try... and return. Great customer service. Parking is tricky especially when they are busy but it is manageable.
La Iguana Azul is definitely a place you want to come dine in. The dining room is nicely themed and there wait staff was very attentive and warm. I found the food to be top notch and their drinks were working exceptional. My only criticism would be that the menu is a little confusing and could use a makeover.
Authentic and quaint, friendly and attentive staff, coconut margaritas were fabulous 👏🏻 we had chicken tostadas and spicy chicken sopes. Food is fresh and flavorful!
Great Mexican restaurant in the heart of great kills. Went on a Sunday evening and it was not busy at all. We got the chicken torta and mushroom quesadillas. Both were delicious. Was surprised by the mushroom quesadillas. It was perfectly season and given in large portions I will definitely come back based in quality food, service, and the overall experience.
Great food, awesome staff. Explain the food to me very good. Told them to pick out what they think is the best and they didn't disappoint
Order pick up. Although sat at rhe bar for happy hour dinks and my fav magaritas Love it
Great little unassuming hidden local gem. Came here by accident looking for another place and was happy it happened. Drinks were made with fresh squeezed juices and the food felt authentic. Met the family that owns and runs the restaurant who were very accommodating. Would definitely recommend!
Fantastic menu!! Covers everything and everyone!! So reasonably priced, especially in these hard times. Awesome food!! Golden gem in Staten Island. Met a couple from San Antonio who said it was the best Mexican food they have had in NYC. WHAT AN ENDORSEMENT!!
Want to extend our most sincere compliments to the owners and the entire staff of Piccolinos for their hosting of a wonderful holiday party last night. From start to finish, the staff was incredibly professional, courteous and attentive to a large ( and sometimes challenging) group. The food was excellent in every regard and served promptly and professionally by a relatively small staff. There was excellent entertainment provided as well ( thank you Teresa🙏) and a good time was had by all!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Excellent dinner from start to finish! The salmon with the lemon brandy sauce was superb as was the fillet of sole francaise. The Zucchini stick appetizer was cooked perfectly and the cheesecake was so fresh and light. It was amazing. Everything down to the cappuccino was perfection. Our server Enzo was excellent and the singer was a lot of fun. Can’t wait to come back!
Great night out with a large group. Service, Food and Drinks were excellent. Never rushed and food wad delivered in a timely fashion. Well worth the money 👍
Tucked into an unassuming strip mall, Piccolino's serves excellent food and has attentive service. My husband and I ordered from the luncheon specials menu, and each of the three courses was delicious, well presented and generous. This is a great restaurant and you will be happy you came here for a meal.
10/10 hidden gem! Went for my 45th birthday with my family and we were blown away with everything, what an experience! Food , next level. Service, top tier! Atmosphere, quaint and cozy! They even had live entertainment. What a pleasure to be there, can’t wait to go back. Thank you Piccolino’s for an excellent night.
I’ve been coming here for years but I hosted my son’s baptism in their back room last night. This place really knows how to take care of you. The food is fantastic, the staff is awesome, and everything is timed just right so your guests always have something hot and tasty in front of them. Highly recommend for pretty much anything. I’ve had romantic dates with the wife here, I’ve come for family dinners, and now I can say I’ve hosted a party here.
The food here is delicious!! We got the Polo Martine and Fettuccine Alfredo. We ended up having leftovers and switching dishes. Both dishes were flavorful. We will order again.
My family & I had dinner here for the first time on a Saturday night in October. I can’t believe I never heard of this place before! I’ve been missing a lot! My family felt the same! The food was absolutely superb! Service was great. Ambience was really nice, especially with the two very talented singers performing that night. I took home leftovers & enjoyed them the next night. We will definitely be back for our next event! In my opinion this is the best Italian restaurant on the island! A+++++++
Just had my son’s communion in the outdoor room and it was perfect. They let me set up / decorate the entire room the way I wanted, were fine with me having a large balloon arch with a hoop and entertainers for the kid. The food was amazing and the unlimited sangria/wine was a good choice! My family is still talking about it. The staff was accomodating, even with 2 other parties going on at the same time. They had heaters to warm the room up once it got cold. 10/10. Highly recommend!
HIDDEN GEM! Located in the heart of great kills town Staten Island NY tucked away in the corner of a parking lot. Great service, great portions, and outstanding food. I put this place in top 5 on the island. Food is always cooked fresh and the combination of how they put it together just work. Sometimes this place doesn’t have a seat available so call and check.we always go big here cause food is so good but you can get your money’s worth for sure.
The Cubano sandwich was incredibly tasty. Highly recommend it. Also really liked the Iguana tacos. Rest of the tacos were normal Mexican flare. We had a pitcher of the passion fruit margarita. It was good.
I'd seen this place around for a while now and it is quite big, with an outdoor space adjacent to the lot behind the next door lim service building. They had recently done up their exterior. The interior remains festive and lit with loud music and televisions showing sports, usually. It's a convenient location near the train stop and also right off Amboy. I came for a bite later at night after work and there were only two waiters running the floors. It wasn't empty and there were perhaps two louder parties, one at the bar and one at the tables. So service felt a little sparse. The food was mediocre but priced reasonably for the portions. It will fill you up. The gambas de ajillo were served lukewarm on a plate, contrary to how they would usually be served in hot oil. The pork skin quesadilla was filled abundantly with boiled pork skin. Do not order this if you are expecting a crunchy chicharron. The meat was well flavored, but the tortilla used was very thick. It held together well, though, and was expectedly filling. The sangria they have was a bit lacking in much punch of flavor. Overall, not a bad place to satisfy some cravings.
The only reason for 4 stars is there’s a funky mold smell at this place. But other than that, food and service is great and the best rice and BEANS I’ve had it’s delicious and taste so good from other Mexican restaurants I’ve eaten. This place is kind of a hidden gem and I’ve been wanting to go here but, every-time I see it from outside it is not inviting at all and or doesn’t look like it’s open or shady not sure why it’s like that. But once your inside, WOW! Finally went in this time around so very happy that I did. I just wish the smell improves but ones your inside, I guess you’ll get used it. I love that they have outdoor too. Btw, they only have 4 parking spot and could be double parking if you have two cars with your friend but, someone parked right in front of me and I wouldn’t be able to get out if the one next to me didn’t move but, it worked out lol. Overall, affordable and very good food loved it!
Very nice Mexican restaurant. It has a varied menu, very good service and prices are reasonable.
Food is great, all 3 plates order was fabulous!!! The presentation definitely was great. Atmosphere is very nice. Services is not the best. The place was not busy, 3 tables plus use and we felt forgotten. I order the unlimited drinks and just to get a refill took for every. So if you are not in a hurry, go for it!
The food is the star here. Everything is just delicious and plentiful. My husband ordered the prix fixe osso bucco and mussels. Yum. I had barolo meat, which was stacked with yummy veggie layers. Had leftovers today and I swear, it’s even better. Here, you get plenty of bang for the buck. The hard part is parking, but there is municipal across the street - very convenient. And, the shopping plaza plus the leftover pandemic outdoor add on is not very welcoming, especially on a rainy day. Nevertheless, we loved it here and can’t wait to come back again.
This is the second time dining here. We ordered from the prefix menu with the main entree being chicken cutlet parm and a pork chop with hot peppers. The chicken cutlet parm was just okay but the pork chop with hot peppers was excellent. We also had house salad, mussels fra diavolo and spaghetti aioli which were all delicious. Staff were attentive and pleasant. The only thing that bothered me was the ceiling tiles which look like they need to be replaced at some point. Parking is also Limited. I would definitely go back again.
I got the chicken enchilada, comes with rice and beans. My friend got grilled fish, also came with rice and beans. The sangria was tasty but we needed an extra shot in it to make it work. The food was fresh but too bland. The atmosphere is nice. We sat outside
Party of 14 for my brothers birthday dinner at 6pm. Didn’t want to ruin my appetite so I didn’t eat all day looking forward to eat here. Arrived and quickly ordered the mezcal margarita and the best part of the evening. Margarita gets 4 stars. We ordered the calamari, chips and guacamole as starter. Calamari was bland and was like chewing on fried flour bitters. The guac needed salt, lime, and cilantro.cause it was also bland. When a Mexican restaurant can’t get the guac right says a lot about their food and a warning of what’s to come or expect. I ordered the shrimp fajita and to be honest it was decent after I added some salt cause it lacked flavor. Looking around the table and other families expression of their food they were not impressed. This establishment is a solid 3 stars but they lost another star for their service. One element I noticed here is that service, the waiter and servers were kids. I asked one of them how old he was he was and he said 16. I respect and commend kids wanting to work and establishments giving them the opportunity, but not on a Saturday night. How much experience can a 16 year have when asked for recommendations, not that I did. There were other staff that were older walking around from table to table kind off supervising. Not a place that left me wanting to come back.
I’ve been a few times now and haven’t been satisfied. Tried giving it the benefit of the doubt ordering a few different things but everything tastes bland that I’ve had. Numerous italian restaurants on the island are better than this
I went here with my family recently, and the experience was honestly disappointing from start to finish. We were seated quickly, but it went downhill after that. Our server seemed more interested in chatting with coworkers than taking care of our table. We had to ask multiple times just to get water refills, and when the food finally came out, one of the orders was wrong. Instead of apologizing, the server gave us an attitude like it was our fault. My parents were shocked at how unprofessional it was, it made the whole meal uncomfortable. Definitely not somewhere I’d bring family again. The staff clearly don’t care about the customers. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.
