There's not much I can say except that this is a great Dairy Queen. The quality of food and desserts is nice, and I had a flawless drive through experience.

Amazing service! The shift manager (I wish I could remember her name) was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to get our wrestling team dinner when we pulled up to a closed lobby with a school bus. We are so extremely grateful for the service we received and will absolutely stop by again next time we're passing through. Oh, and the food was great too 😊

Our DQ in Illinois is seasonal with no indoor option so this one in Canton NY was a nice change! Staff were amazingly polite and friendly. Store was very clean! They were pretty busy, seemed everyone needed dinner or after dinner treat and we didn’t have to wait long at all for our ice cream. Also love the cute touches of the decor with spoons for handles and getting to see the timeline of DQ! It started in Illinois!

The service is always pleasant and quick. I've had to stop ordering fries though. It was becoming a regular thing to get fries that had obviously been in contact with something else like fish.

Got food, it was good. The cashier is very friendly, I forgot the drinks were self-serve, not bought out. I asked about the drinks and she started to check them out in the dining area, and I apologized and told her I would check it out when I would fill my drink. Also got blizzards, thank you so much!

Made a quick pit stop as we were driving through. The burgers were hot and tasted fresh! And our Blizzards were perfection. Drive Thru had a few cars, but they seemed to handle it well without any delays.

I was really impressed with the staff here. I asked questions about allergies and the person at the register went to find the answers. She was courteous and friendly as well as helpful. As we were going to our seats she not only offered to escort us but also to get our soda. The food was ready and delivered by another employee at the same time, so we sat down to good, hot food. It was a good visit and I'd go there again in a heartbeat!

Went to the newer remodeled dairy queen and wow it was great. The onion rings are amazing crispy and taste great, the chicken strips were great as well nice and crisp. I highly recommend this location.

My experience is ONLY through the drive through so I cannot speak to the cleanliness of the inside. As I drove by I noticed the inside was REALLY busy. However, when I pulled up to the drive through I was instantly greeted and placed my order for a Blizzard. I paid at the window, and had my blizzard within a minute or two. The worker was really friendly, and my blizzard tasted amazing.

Fast service dining in even with a long drive thru line, was still hot and fresh and actually much better than McDonald's or Burger King.

Hit the spot on a really hot day, very fast drive thru, all 4 of us got shakes that were really tasty

I love coming here with the family for a decent meal and some ice cream on my way back to Canton. It's a tradition of late and we always have a good time. It's fast food so nothing fancy but I love the ice cream and the conversations we have.

Pretty good, but their speaker box made my ear ring before I could drive away. It's as loud as a tempered baby's screech. Yowza! Other than that, their burgers are fairly decent, and their fries are uh... -Up to par, with other fast food chains, I'll say.

I really like the chicken strip meals. My only issue has been, i get the country gravy dipping sauce and every time the cups are half full or less. You run out of gravy before you finish the strips. This time I paid extra for an extra half cup of gravy.

Updated review 7/15/2025...A much better experience at the Canton Dairy Queen than on our last visit a year ago. Excellent service, with no foul-up on our order this time around. We were happy to see that Pepsi products are featured now, even though on this visit the Pepsi "tap" dispensed 2/3 carbonated foam to 1/3 Pepsi-Cola. It made for repeated trips to get soda, and YES, there was some accidental belching that MAY have occurred! The $7 DQ meal deal is a great value since it comes with an ice cream sundae for dessert, which can be "upgraded" for $2 more. My bride opted for the M&M Blizzard and remarked that "they sure didn't cheap out on the M&Ms," so she was quite pleased. A 4.5-stars visit, this time around. So, keep up the good work, folks! Special kudos for our order-taker, "Annabelle," for her courtesy and promptness.

Fast service and food is mediocre. Typical fast food place really. Bathrooms are clean at least.

Small dining room. Burgers just average, not much flavor. Staff seemed more interested in personal conversation than being attentive to guests.

They have enough staff, but usually dont get our order right. Dont order the snickerdoodle blizzard. It is sheer sugar and cinnamon taste. Yuck!

The much needed renovations are going to be nice. However, the 2 blizzards we got were mixed poorly and over priced: $6.00 each!!

I used to enjoy going there with my family on the way through to Watertown the food is great tho I am scared to stop now with one of the new cashier's employed there not only is she very unfriendly she is also a drug adict and I am really scared I will catch something . I will miss that place but thank God massena has one tho it's out of the way and if the druggie cashier leaves I will return with my family

This is a good place to stop when you need a quick bite to eat. The menu contains a good variety of meals to choose from and everything that I've had has been fine.. The only thing that bothers me is that the drive through is so slow. I do enjoy being able to stop in here with my friends and family though. Ordering inside doesn't usually take too long if you've got time to spare, but don't expect something in a hurry

Dairy Queen is known for the ice cream treats so I'll start with the good. The Oreo Blizzard was good. Found that the top half had all the Oreo's while the bottom was plain ice cream....which wasn't a big deal to me. Now for the food....the fries were cold and the order was very very small. The hamburger was mostly bun the actual burger....again small. The food is not worth the price.....while the ice cream is.

My fish sandwich was smothered in tartar sauce and brown wilted lettuce. I ordered onion rings and chicken strips (old oil?) with a six count of Buster Bars for my family and spent over $30. Not worth it.

Staff was very friendly. Fries tasted stale like they’d been cooked 50 minutes before and sat in a warmer. The burger was okay but this tomato is a lame excuse. Wouldn’t have said anything if this weren’t the ONLY tomato on the burger.

Ordered two single burgers. Opened them and they were small burgers and only had mustard and ketchup instead of brazier sauce. The whole reason for a DQ burger is the brazier sauce. Was in Massena DQ and ordered the same thing and the burgers were larger and had the brazier sauce. Guess I will drive there to get the real DQ stuff. Extra miles but the right product.

This place is so rediculously expensive and I wouldn't be to piticular about this situation if the crew actually cared and served and cooked the food with respect but everytimei go the it is rude central they act like therre better than all of the customers......the girls are bitches. Went here for the first time since it was rebuilt,,I I was looking forward to seeing the new restaurant,,, I however was a little concerned when we walked through the doors as there was a mouse trap between the doors (vestibule) that should never be in plain sight for the quest!!! Plit should be OUTSIDE covered with some mulch to disguise it!!! We ordered,our food FF were cold I received a burger instead of 3 piece chicken,, family across the dining room had problems with their order they went back to the counter three times and finally got the correct order, seemed like the staff needed some more training,, there was also a young lady working in shorts,, she was working in both the front of the house and the back of the house,, when we were leaving she was going to the dumpster, I did also watch her return to the back door and she did have to ring the back door bell which is the only positive thing I saw about the restaurant as your back door should always be locked. Not sure if this store is corporate or a franchise location,, it does need some training skills to improve the service.. when order was correct food was good even finished with a Heath blizzard (DELICIOUS)

Serve times for four meals was long and a simple request was viewed as an annoyance. I expect to wait longer than other fast food joints here but 35 minutes in the drive through and being treated as 'that problem customer' is ridiculous because I honestly do get how it is having worked food service and retail for over a decade.

Stopped on the way through, ordered in drive thru, we paid and were not given a receipt, waited 10 minutes or more for them to give us our food and then pulled over to the side of the parking lot to eat. We discovered they put no condiments in the bag, no napkins and they had shorted us an order of onion rings. My husband went inside to ask for our missing onion rings, they informed him we had only paid for one order and then dismissed him, we couldn't prove we had paid for two orders since they had failed to give us a receipt. They lost regular customers because the employees can't get an order right nor do they understand how to handle and acknowledge their screw ups.

The people that work there are pretty incompetent. They charge $10 for chicken tender meal more like chicken nub meal! The guy they have this year is extra special to work with too! Tall blonde duh! Save your money and go to Stewart's! They have cleaner facilities too! DUMP!!!!

Ordered a cheese burger, double cheese burger,large onion rings and 2 dilly bars. Repeated the order 3 times. She repeated it back twice. Got home and opened the bag. Everything was there except that instead of a double cheeseburger we found a flamethrower. By then it was too late to go back. Not happy. Sounds like someone needs to be retrained.

Absolutely horrible. Ordered a cake and they couldn't even comprehend writing down the right colors. Then when you cut the cake the layers were uneven way more chocolate than vanilla and about 4" of pure cookie chucks in some spots. Not to mention the vanilla tasted frweber burnt. I probably won't be back in to this DQ even for food.

My family and I always enjoyed the food and ice scream but your new cashier is rude and disrespectful. We will find another place to go for now and I hope you don't lose other customers because of her.

An employee put his four fingers in side a cup the started to make a shake with it, when I called him out on it he said it was hygienic because he washes his hands. When I spoke to the manager about it, he acted like I was bothering him.

Visited around 3:30 to 4pm on a Sunday. It was absolute chaos! There were at least 10 people standing around waiting for orders. We ordered or food got our drinks and joined the others who were waiting. I heard them discussing that they ran out of tarter sauce and did not know where it came from or if they made it. Then they kept calling out a blizzard that someone supposedly ordered and then after about five tries, they finally called the number and it was not what the customer ordered. After about 15 minutes of waiting, our number was finally called. I got our bag of food, then went to take our sundaes that we ordered and someone stopped me and said they weren't ours. The they called our number for those(same as our hot food order) and I went to take them and the guy almost did not give them to me. When we opened our order, our hot food was cold like it sat there for a while. My spouse's order was wrong. He ordered a double cheeseburger combo and got a single. We were not in the mood to have it corrected as were were starving and did not feel like waiting another 20 minutes for our food. We decided then and there we will not return.

2 days in a row they have messed up the order. The wait times are horrible and the service is unexceptional. The first day I got a Molten Lava Cake. Ice cream with hot fudge and a small cake, not that hard right? Well the employee that was making it got the cake right at least, but instead of ice cream he put a huge mound of whip cream, and attempted to serve me that. Of course I got a bit upset, I order ice cream not whip cream. Then when he fixed it the amount of ice cream was a small, I ordered a large. The next day I ordered the same item for my daughter, only this time it was worse. I waited 10-15 minutes for it and when the lady behind me ordered them same thing she got hers in 30 seconds. I had to ask the staff twice when mine would be done. They gave me a nasty look of disgust and went to make it after they chatted with their co-works for a few more minutes. This place has good food but crappy service.... Dissatisfied and Disappointed.

Ive lived in the area my whole life and every experience is awful. Like any other business is the fast food chain there should be cleanliness and this store is nasty. The food is greasy, the floors are greasy, the windows and doors are greasy. The service is slow, impolite, and the food quality is poor. It's a shame because it has such potential to be a great place to enjoy a nice meal.

Went there couple Saturday's ago. Went inside and waited forever for our burgers while line outside drive thru was going thru non stop. So after waiting forever our freaking burgers were ice cold and cheese not even close to being melted. Bought and ice cream cone to go which we paid for before ice cold burger and ice cream cone was half melted. Don't go here. Better off at McDonald's or burger king

Went there tonight at about 7:35 PM with my husband and daughter ordered our food sat down started eating and our burgers were raw they took our receipt and made us new burgers and they were still pink we ended up throwing away all our food $27 down the drain we will not be going back again 😑 getting ahold of corporate in the morning

Ordered chicken tenders meal, they were half the size of other fast food competitors, and over cooked too. They got my drink order wrong, did not provide a water bottle that was on my receipt. I'd stayed at the drive thru window checking the order, I inform them that I had asked for a classic Oreo blizzard, they made me the wrong blizzard again with mint Oreo. At that time I've had enough of their lack of service & not paying attention while I tried to correct my order and we drove off. Needless to say we won't be going to the Canton NY Dairy Queen for a good long time

Ordered from the app, clicked arrived button and gave our spot number. Only vehicle there waiting. Watched about 20 cars go through the drive through, wife had to go in and ask where our order was. Was told "we were just bringing it out." She got in the truck and the two blizzards were well on their way to being melted.

Been to the canton location twice since new store opened, both times order got screwed up, I did not get what I ordered either time!! Food portions very small. Order board speaker terrible, volume so low can not hear what they are saying. Impossible to get order correct because people taking order can not hear people ordering and person ordering can not hear them when repeating order. Need a lot of improvement plus staff that can do it right. My Dogs like it because they get the screw ups!
