First time in this Denny's location. Our waitress, Dani, was amazing. She took our entire order without writing it down and it came to us exactly as we ordered, even my husband's build a breakfast order! Worth driving the 10 miles from Terrell there instead of the Terrell location which is 5 miles from home. Clean and spacious dining area.

The service at this Dennys was amazing! It made my day! The food was properly prepared and as good as diner fare gets. The atmosphere was pleasant and peaceful.

I really love our Denny's. Almost every time I've gone the food has been served quickly and tasted great. Cooked just as I asked. When I did get a bad meal, the manager quickly and gladly comped us a meal to come back. That day we had a bad meal they were short staffed because of flu season. When we came back for the comped meal it was business as usual, and the food and service was great.

Love the new menus. I'd complain about getting coffee when I decide to drink it but.. the employees are working double shifts and doing the best they can in this situation. Always have enjoyed this one in Kaufman Karen is one heck of a waitress as well.

Server was attentive and accurate. The ribeye was cooked to order and flavorful. The loaded baked potato was excellent. Green beans were kind of watery but still good. The butter / biscuits were as expected. It has been a while (years) since I was at a Texas Roadhouse, and they don't do the peanut thing anymore at this location, if you are expecting that.

I went to this Dennys location this morning and the food and service were awesome! Rochelle was my server and she was great, friendly and very attentive! I had a couple of special requests on my order and it was brought out to me precisely how I asked for it. The cook made my order exactly as I have envisioned it! I highly recommend this Dennys. First time here. The manager, Linda, displayed great leadership by example and that is unfortunately not as common as it should be. Our waitress worked flawlessly and effectively. The experience was one of the best dining-out experiences I have had in a long time. The Sante Fe skillet with hashbrowns added is now my favorite thing on an already great menu. I have heard that some low-performing locations may be closing. I sure hope this isn't one, since I go about once a week. Everyone is always so friendly and service is speedy. I've tried a little of everything and never had a bad meal. I'm also a single diner and wait-staff are very attentive. 🤤

Overall, a pretty good place to relax and have a good meal. What made it particularly great for me is the customer service. Many of the staff have been very kind, helpful, and generous to me. Particularly a waitress named Ruby has been exceptionally kind and helpful, in a difficult time for me and my wife. I cannot express how grateful I am. The food, in my experience, is always hot and fresh, the service is always with a smile, and it is always overall a pleasant experience. I highly recommend it.

Breakfast Well I've been in this area now for about 18 years. I don't think I could count the number of times have been in for breakfast. Over the years the offering have changed but lately I got this eight dollar plate which I thought was a great deal. Eggs and hashbrowns are my must haves. Everything else is just a treat.

I own a restaurant so by the time I get off and close up shop, everything in town is closed except for Dennys in Kaufman. This is the closest place I can go to get a hot meal and sit down to rewind with a cup of coffee. I have been many times. Usually after 11pm. I always get the lumberjack and a side of tomato for my ham. I have nothing bad to say about this place. It’s always clean and always hot. This location is managed to perfection. Keep up the good work.

Good friendly service, always cool even though I'm a solo diner (most places are, but there are exceptions). Reliably tasty breakfast. And I finally went there for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at just how good it was. I got a bourbon chicken skillet (or something like that, I forget exactly what it was called) and asked for one salmon instead of 2 chicken on it. Delicious!

This Denny's was one of the best one's that I've been in. Greeted with a smile and a welcome. Coffee was great and they had a variety of creams to add to it. Food was fresh and delicious. The waitresses and customers were all in a good mood as if they were all a close family. There was no rush feeling for paying the bill. This place was immaculate. The restrooms were fully equipped. Let me start by saying I am not a Dennys fan, & in all honesty, I had to exchange my food because my food was half burnt. This review is more so for the INCREDIBLE customer service we experienced last Friday at about 11 am-noon. I didn't get her name, but our waitress was phenomenal!! From making a fresh banana milkshake for my son(which I didn't know wasn't even an option) to being enthusiastic and friendly,, making us feel like old friends and even was kind enough to switch out my burnt dish and saying I had no reason to say sorry for a mistake on their part.i don't know her name but she was absolutely awesome. I am a bit of a stiff when customer service at a restaurant is just them handing me a cup of soda, but this woman was amazing!

Food was excellent, the waitress just made a couple of small errors on the order. Ordered unsweetened tea and got sweet. Ordered white bread toast and received 7 grain wheat. Other than that was well worth the stop.

There seems to be some pretty big turnover over the course of many years - of course that's expected but we miss many of our past regular waitstaff. The establishment is always well kept with pretty good customer service. Food is consistantly good. Other than Sunday, this place seems fairly dead most of the time for lunch and dinner.

Everything was great. Anna was a great waitress. She really took good care of us. Considering it was Thanksgiving day and they were working, all the employees except for one person was in a great mood and doing a great job. We wasn't sure if the one lady was a waitress or manager, but she wore an all black uniform. Had a mad look on her face, walked right by us almost bumping into us while we were waiting to be seated and didn't ask of we needed help or even speak to us or make eye contact. I'm glad she wasn't OUR waitress. The food was good. I ordered the choconana pancakes and they were VERY GOOD. They were made with semi sweet chocolate chips instead of milk chocolate and they weren't overly sweet. In fact I didn't need any syrup. Other than the one rude person it was a good experience.

It was better this time than the last 4 times that I went to this location. Snowing in Texas and dependable Denny's is still open. I like the turkey avocado sandwich with fries but all the fam that likes breakfast, love it here. I have tried the pancakes with pecans and several of the fruit ones and they were all good.

Service was good and very friendly but rushed. The breakfast and pancakes were overcooked and cold. Restaurant not very clean.

We went twice this week. The first time she spilled the drink on my son. And should of gave discount but didn't. The second time she brought out some of the food and took back the bacon so it could be cooked and left the french toast but no syrup. I asked 3 times for it she kept forgetting and forgot the pancakes. I mean dang. Should we pay full price for so many mistakes but sure as he'll did. We bearly get back from lunch on time. But she obviously didn't care

The prices are not great for the most part While the servers are generally friendly and helpful, the food doesn't come out very fast and often times the table is not all served together. Not a good place to get take out. Everytime we have ordered food to go we have gotten home only to find one or all of our meals are wrong. from completely wrong orders, to items left off or items put on (like tomatoes) that we've requested to be omitted. Restraint is generally Clean and we'll kept.

the food was delicious but the service was pretty bad, i gave it a 3 bc i feel bad, there were a lot of us and we kept asking for things but the waiter/waitress shouldnt catch an attitude if they get frustrated, they should ask for help. our waitress was sweet at first and then started mean mugging some of us when we asked for something, multiple people from our group were talking about it on our way home. she also kept forgetting what we asked for and she never brought one of the things i asked for, so good job on food but terrible on service

Usually have a pretty good experience here, to be perfectly honest it’s about your average Denny’s. Only thing I could complain about is probably the cleanliness of the place. Oh and don’t order the sweet tea, tasted a whole day old and smelt like it had been sitting out a while.

My daughter took me, my sister and six year old granddaughter here. I had noticed an older gentleman staring at us. I even made a comment to my daughter. We had been seated and he finished his meal and began walking toward our table. He put money on table, and said I want to pay for your meal and wish you ladies a Merry Christmas. My daughter picked the money up and their was a card with simply the name of a church and two $20 dollar bills. We were shocked. There are still good and kind human beings on this earth.

I had the salmon with roasted red potatoes and corn. The entire meal was so dry I couldn't eat it. The salmon was extremely overcooked and so dry I only took a couple bites. The corn was hard to bite and very tough. My husband's meal was a different story. He had the chicken fried steak and enjoyed it. However, his potatoes and corn were just like mine. The wait staff was attentive, and we enjoyed the service. I told her about the food and she took the salmon off the bill. This Denny's attempted to fix the problem, and it was appreciated. This is not the only Denny's I have been to lately where the cooks seem to have the tendency to overcook the food. I will continue to visit Denny's. I also realize this is not the only restaurant that seems to have problems with cooks since the pandemic. I hope the cooks will either move on or eventually learn how to cook food that comes to the tables with the perfect cook.

Very slow...even if there's just a couple ppl there. Good place to sit and talk awhile and then enjoy good cooking.

Good service. edit: Lately, the burger patties at Denny's are smaller than they used to be. Service still awesome, especially In the morning. edit: off burgers for a while. tried half order of nachos. decent filler but nothing special.

Sat for 15 minutes, finally took our drink order. Sat for another 15 minutes, brought our drink out. 20 minutes later, took our order... Never saw her once in between each order. Maybe the girl is new and inexperienced, but she had the serving level of someone with zero training... The only reason I give it 2 stars is because the food was good, but that had nothing to do with the server, she doesn't make the food.

The food was really good here, but my family spent almost half an hour waiting to be seated. When we walked in we were the only ones waiting to be seated. A family the same size as ours walked in and because they apparently knew the waiter there, they were seated first. We then watched and waited as three more groups of people were seated before us. We were ready to walk out when a big group of school kids got up and left. This cleared about 5 tables up. Finally, after the tables were cleaned, we were seated. We then received unfriendly looks from the waiters. We also had to wait a long time to order and receive our food. Not a great place to bring your family. The only reason I gave two stars is because the food was good. Will not be back.

We stopped in after a late shift at work. Waitress came right over to take our drink order.. My conversation with her was limited due to her wanting to flirt with my boyfriend.. That continued into ordering food.. Food came and looked amazing.. But, went through 4 different sets of flatware before finding forks that were not dirty and coated in grease.. Waitress began acting like we were just being picky and it was a joke.. Also overheard her telling co-workers about us complaining over dirty flatware.. Food was very good and huge portions.. Service, well can't imagine coming back in if waitress cares more about flirting then doing her job and also if soap and hot water are not being used to clean flatware and plates.. If you go in, check your glassware, flatware and plates before you put them near your mouth..

Does this look like 6 scrambled eggs to you? My husband tried to tell the cashier he thought his order was wrong, but she argued it was correct. We live in Kaufman and I'm disappointed, we have gone here often since this was built.

This is the first time we have had such a bad time. The waitress was great it wasn't her fault but everything I ordered came out cold. The first time they brought out my skillet the broccoli was still frozen and was not right. The second time it was actually sizzling. The crepe came out cold and the second time was only lukewarm. I was very disappointed in the amount of time it took to get our food, my daughters came out way before ours then they had to remake mine and so the cooking staff was horrible tonight. This has gone way down since we were there last year.

My friends and I visited this Denny’s after work at around 11 p.m. and the waitress was very rude. When ordering drinks she was rushing us from the beginning and acted very unprofessional. After bringing our Drinks and ordering our food she was very rude by questioning our choices and continued to rush us by snatching our menus from our hands. When she brought our food out she didn’t bring ranch with our wings, we had two orders. She was busy talking with her friends and daughter, I’m assuming. After asking for ranch, she took 10 min to bring it out and not only did she take her time but when she brought the ranch her entire finger was on the side and touching the ranch itself which is unsanitary. The food took a while, but not her fault, but after retrieving our food she asked us if we could hurry and pay so she can go. We 100% understand that she wants to go since she might have had a long day at work so we decided to pay, upon paying she decided to finally show some emotion and attempt to spark a conversation. During the entire time of us being there, she never once gave a response after our numerous thanks when she brought stuff out to us. We found this a bit odd since she gave us attitude the entire time, we then came to the conclusion she is attempting to act nice so we could leave a tip. I am honestly a good tipper and easily would’ve left $5-10 for my $11 meal. My friends and I paid separate and my friend left a $3 tip for for her meal as we would’ve all left a tip individually to add up to a larger tip. After receiving the tip she made a face to her daughter and her attitude completely changed back to bitter and she started to whisper about us, especially since I hit no tip on the card since I pay tips in cash. After this I decided not to tip since she gave attitude way too much. She then told her daughter again that she had a $60 order, us combined, and only received a $3 tip and she just threw the tip on the counter. However, if she would’ve been a good waitress we would’ve left a way larger tip. If she truly cared she would’ve said thank you and been appreciative for a tip, especially for a small order. On top of all of this she had one other table, which she visited twice asking if they needed anything, which is normal for waitresses. However, not once did she visit our table to ask if we needed anything, we had to go ask her ourselves since she was busy chatting away with her daughter and coworkers. Never again will I dine with this waitress, her name was Amanda J as stated on the receipt, and I might not dine here again since most times the waiters were rude. I worked in a fast food restaurant and I know how it feels to have a bad day, but it is still no excuse to completely blow off a table and leave horrible service.

Horrible place. Employees outside drinking and smoking outside while my family is waiting 1.5 hours on our meal. Half the employees look like junkies or illegal. We finally decided to leave and get a refund and there was a line of other customers getting a refund also. While all the customers were upset about their food 3 to 4 employees were standing in a circle in the back laughing and screwing around. This place needs new management and staff. We ended up at the DQ next door where the service was 100% better!!

Soup for appetizer did not arrive until main coarse and was cold as was mashed potatoes and they were not busy at 5 pm.Soup was baked potato soup. Update March 7,2019!!! Tried them again and food was good. Had Senior Tilopa and service was fair Menu States comes with soup and 2 sides .I ordered mashed and fried potatoes and waitress suggested the seasoned fries,so I agreed. Was billed extra for them and I explained to cashier that it was my second side and she was rude and refused to correct. This will be my last time st Denny's in Kaufman,Texas because of the rude cashier and was so up set that forgot to take the 5 dollar cash tip to waitress.

The chicken fried steak is a meal I order to go often with mashed potatoes and macaroni for the sides I'm very disappointed today to have gotten home, opened up my meal, and see that the macaroni has been replaced with Kraft dinner macaroni. I would rather be told yall are out instead of overpaying for the cheapest flavorless mac and cheese you can find at Walmart

My husband & I was seated & our drink order placed. When she returned with our drinks asked if we needed more time & I responded "yes". About 15 minutes went by with anyone wanting to take our order. I proceeded to watch her wait on several customers before she realized that she forgot about us. When she said I will be right with you & then asked what we wanted, I responded I'm not hungry & she admitted to her mistake, but didn't want to wait any longer. So sad that customer service everywhere is lacking.

The whole staff looked like they didn't want to be here tonight. Waited 20 mins to be greeted by our waitress. The order came out wrong and missing items that took 3 requests to finally get. The pregnant cashier obviously wasn't having it tonight as she took my money and didn't say a word.

Food was cold and awful. Ordered the "Zesty nachos" ....were the worst excuse for nachos ever. Chips with canned chili dumped over them, virtually no cheese, diced onions they tried to pass off as pico....could not eat it was so disgusting. Also ordered Grand slam omlett which was cold, hash browns were a pile of grease. Told our server she went to get manager, he refused to come speak to us. Server pointed him out to us so we approached him and proceeded to tell him we could not eat the food, he blamed it on the server, who we thought was the only good thing about our dining experience there. Manager was rude and dismissive. We paid our bill but we will NEVER attempt to dine there again.

Dennys in Kaufman TX next to 175. It would be 5 stars except for 2 reasons. 1. Cockroaches were crawling out on the booth while we're eating. Shows a lack of maintenance and cleanliness by management and staff. Makes one question the condition of the kitchen and food storage. 2. A male employee aggressively approached us and hovered over us, mumbling something about being a gangster while we were trying to finish our meals. Being older and in a booth, my lady friend and I felt very uncomfortable. I was able to de-escalate and send him away, but it was unwarranted aggression from an employee who acted volatile and unpredictable towards customers. Of course, there were no other employees on the floor to witness the event. For those 2 reasons, I will not be returning to such an ill-managed diner that's supposed to be a family-friendly place. [100% would NOT recommend!]

We arrived at 10:46pm from a graduation night… our server seen another table being seated way after ours and took their order first and left us seating for more then one 1hr waiting on our order.. I asked her nicely and she started an attitude towards us.. she said 7min more and our order will be served… time passed by an nothing was served.. at the end I asked to speak to her manager and she stated she was the manager.. Speechless no way a manager will treat customers like this!!! I try asking about our receipt to pay our drinks and she screamed at me at made a sign with her hands and about to scream at us bad words to leave!!! Will never recommend this place for a late night dinner with family!!

i brought my service dog in here and have never had issues the 3 years i’ve been coming here. i didn’t have her vest on because it was raining and i didn’t want it getting soaked, as its a thicker material so its absorbent, she was laying next to the booth on the ground by my husband. the GM came out and told me i had to have a vest identifying her as a service dog. i explained that it wasn’t a requirement. he then asked me for identification of my service dog. and i told him it was illegal to do so. he said im not going to argue with you. i said “you don’t know ADA laws? i told him again that it is against ADA law in the state of texas to ask for certification or identification of a service animal. he told me to leave my dog in the car or leave. i said “you want me to leave my service dog in the car” he started raising his voice again saying he wasn’t arguing with me. keep in mind. i was very respectful. i didn’t raise my voice. i didn’t cuss. i didn’t get mad or upset. i was simply educating him about ADA laws, since clearly he didn’t know. he raised his voice at me. in the middle of this restaurant, in front of my son who was sleeping in his car seat next to my husband. i said “do not raise your voice at me. you’re causing a scene” as it’s VERY unprofessional to be yelling in the middle of a restaurant and he told me to get out. 0/10.

This place has really gone downhill. The quality isn't what it used to be. The staff always seem to be tired and needing to wait on way to many tables at the same time. It takes away the quality of the visit. The food just doesn't seem to be that the cooks don't care and just senselessly shove them out to the guests. Some of the food have gotten to be really greasy.

I ordered the Mac and cheese brisket skillet that is priced at almost $15 and they brought me a skillet of cheese, a few noodles, and some chopped brisket. I understand that it won’t look just like the picture in the menu but it was more like a fraction of what it shows in the menu. I’m not expecting perfection but I feel like they were pulling a joke on me considering what they brought to the table. The kids menu had bigger portions and so do the sandwiches. I literally finished it in a couple bites. They brought me a side of Mac n cheese after I asked them to take it back but this is ridiculous. Don’t pay extra for the skillet because it’s not worth it and they’re just playing with your money at this point. Bathrooms were disgusting My mother had no tomato on her superbird which it is supposed to come with (she orders the superbird every visit). Our waitress never checked on us after dropping our food off, she just disappeared completely. So much for drink refills I guess. And she never introduced herself so that was annoying from the get go.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at the Denny's in Kaufman, Texas. Our waitress attempted to overcharge us, and when we questioned the bill, she became visibly irritated. Instead of addressing our concerns politely, she hatefully tapped on the screen to change it and refused to speak to us. This level of unprofessionalism and rudeness is unacceptable. We will not be returning to this location.

Miserable waitress. Was seated for 10 minutes with no greeting. I asked a waitress who/where our waitress was and she told me she was going to look for her. I thought they had forgotten about us but then I over hear our waitress being extremely rude only because I asked where she was. She proceeded to come to our table and started talking rudely to me when I hadn’t uttered a single word. “I’m only taking your drink orders because the other table was here first so I have to take their food order first. That’s just the way it is.” Not even a hi, nothing. I just closed the menu and left. Lady I didn’t ask you to work here !

Bad Service, found a roach on my burger waitress said manager was coming, manager never showed up. this is not the first review regarding roaches, this needs to get notice! ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!

Hello. Our family frequents this restaurant quite a bit when grabbing breakfast on our way home. Food and service is always good. Nothing was different until yesterday, 3/10/2024. A cockroach was crawling on our table while we were eating. We quietly told the host and they proceeded to tell the manager. The manager checked it out and then offered a discount on our bill. I was hoping our meals would have been comped, since we weren't able to take our leftovers home. The manager offered to make our orders fresh and we accepted. However after leaving, our appetites were completely gone knowing that a cockroach was in the dining room (more than likely they are in the kitchen and other places within the restaurant). We will not be patronizing this location anymore because of this. Hope this pest issue will be handled quickly.

My mom and I left before ordering breakfast due to poor service. Our server seemed not in the right headspace, which I understand if she was busy but it was a slow morning with it being New Year’s Day. However, when she brought our drinks, she spilled coffee all over the table, walked away without acknowledging it and later returned to clean it without any true apologetic tone. I’m a former server and always lead with kindness and patience, but we chose to leave rather than start the year with an uncomfortable experience.

Saturday morning waited 30 minutes for cold food. Didn't eat anything. Waitress came bk to give us our ticket only. Never said a word about the untouched food on table.Cashier acted like she didn't hear us when we said food was cold. Do better!

it is not acceptable to charge me $4 for macaroni and cheese only to give me what is obviously boxed kraft mac and cheese instead of your actual macaroni. Just tell me yall don't have it. i don't spend extra on Denny's just to eat the same slop i buy at Walmart for 50 cents. unacceptable. be better. give me my money back if yall are gonna pull this nonsense

Eating during the late night around 1am on Sunday morning and as we were eating my daughter noticed that my cup that I was drinking at was a dirty cup. We all lost out appetite and left. I suggest you change your cups and silverware to plastic and foam.
