Opiniones de The Mad Hatter Restaurant & Bakery Rochester
My friend and I went here for brunch and the food was fantastic. My photo of the duck croque madame doesn’t show you how much duck bacon they stuffed inside; the fattiness of the bacon is cut by the mornay sauce. My friend got the flavored coffee with their version of the garbage plate and he got free refills on the coffee. I would suggest coming near opening time because when we left around 11 AM, there was a decent gathering in the waiting room.
Everything was amazing with the selection of gluten-free options the regular gluten options and they even have vegan options I appreciate how they have the menu for each section the food is top tier worth the money two meals with desserts total is $50 worth it and the worker at the front was delightful
Terrifically tasty! My first time at this restaurant and it was delish. I had the Mad Hatter Plate, a breakfast take on the garbage plate - French toast (or pancakes if you prefer), roasted potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and ham with a spicy hollandaise sauce over the top. Wow. SO good!
This was our first time visiting The Mad Hatter. The atmosphere is so cozy and charming. I loved all of the Wonderland decor and names of the menu items! The service was a tad slow, especially for a weekday, but this is the kind of place you go to chill and relax and have some really fresh, delicious food and drink. Our server was amazing and took great care of us. Even the busser was extremely attentive. Highly recommend!
I love Mad Hatter. They have awesome vegetarian options, and everything I’ve tried has been consistently good. I’ve been here probably six times over the last few years, and it never disappoints. It’s one of those places I keep coming back to because the food and overall vibe are just solid every time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great veg-friendly options and a spot that’s reliably good.
Went here for lunch with family. An adorable Alice in Wonderland themed eatery. Nicely decorated and great service. All 4 of us were happy with our brunch meals. The bacon pancakes and spicy breakfast burrito were great! The bakery up front is full of delights to take home. We bought some delicious cookies and cakes and all were creative and tasty! Not a very big place, so it may be tough to get a table during busier times, but worth the wait. They also do high tea!! Fun AND delicious!
We have found our fave little breakfast spot! So many options that meet allergy needs, and so much good food! Kitchy environment, nestled in an old house; the layout is tight, it is noisy when busy, and there will be a wait on Sundays, but it is all worth it! Get a bag of Tea on your way out, sooooo good!!
Great breakfast. Many options for sweet treats. Good options available for vegetarian diet, and their tea is good. I recommend this place for a special breakfast occasion here in Rochester. Definitely not your typical diner food! It’s great quality and servers seem happy to be there.
Of all the “Alice in Wonderland”-themed restaurants in Rochester, this is possibly one of the better ones. This is a very unique place from that aspect and I liked it all around. The only critique I would have is that the floor space inside is smaller and I think they might do well to remove maybe 2 of the tables in the middle and spread the other tables out slightly, even though yes, that could also decrease revenue slightly. But it would benefit the serving staff and I don’t think any customers would mind feeling slightly less ‘crammed in’.
Highly recommended for breakfast! This place offers a vast array of options to satisfy all tastes and preferences . The peach stuffed French toast is a must try for carb enthusiasts! There are also plenty of high protein choices available! The mocha is crafted to perfection. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, complete with a bakery section where you can grab freshly baked goods to go!
Quaint, it’s an old home turned into a restaurant and cafe. Reasonably priced. Food very tasty & my waitress Jennifer was kind and attentive. Asked to be sat somewhere warm but hostess sat me next to the door. 🤷🏽
Brunch stuff was good. I liked all the flights of food you can get. We got the Soup Flight and the Pancake Flight and the Eggs Benedict Flight, so we could try all the food. The vibe is very welcoming atmosphere for all peoples. The booths were not comfortable, But overall the place was very good.
My friend and I decided to try this restaurant one Saturday morning while visiting. The wait was 45 minutes with very little seating so they text you when table was ready. The food was very plain and nothing special. It tastes like plain breakfast. The breakfast is better at Cracker Barrel. They have overpriced baked goods that didn’t look fresh. They could also make renovations because it’s a very old home and feels clammy during winter especially when raining. Just need to invest in upkeep. You can go buy lower expectations because I didn’t enjoy the food and was not impressed BUT the service was excellent!
Three of us went. We had the Pesto Chicken sandwich, the tuna melt, and the Eggs Benedict. Pesto Chicken had too much pesto, and the chicken was dry. The tuna melt was loved. The Eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked, and the potatoes were okay (could have been crispier), but cooked well. Mimosa flights were good as well. Service is spectacular and everyone was very friendly.
Not worth the 40 minute wait. The Shakshuka (breakfast special) left a lot to be desired if you have even the most basic expectations of what that dish is supposed to be. Watery, not enough tomato, not flavorful—sloppy and sad. Also, my entire table ordered specialty hot drinks, and they were all delivered lukewarm. One friend specifically ordered a second cup of coffee asking that it be hot, and it was not hot. Servers were all lovely.
