I just love you, guys!!! My fifth visit after leaving from work to enjoy my draught Blue Moon and fried calamari my "must have choices" when coming your way! Great ambiance, great service, great location! Whenever you are in town, don't miss it! Even if the place is packed and you end being standing, you'll have a great time being "solo" or with friends. Great atmosphere and even better service. We visited during our stay at Christmas in NYC and were looking for a lively pub to watch Premier League football. Kevin was absolutely brilliant! He was very welcoming, chatty and a fantastic host. We were blown away by the warm service and felt very much at home as if we were back in the UK. There are plenty of screens and a lot of space to enjoy various games. Overall, a great crowd and friendly environment. We would highly recommend Smithfield Hall for a social or quiet drink. We will definitely be returning in future!

Great irish sports bar. Has a wide selection of draft beers. Food is good too! Got a huge pretzel. The indoor gets a little loud when theres a game on but they happily moved us outside to the patio. awesome spot

Stayed in the Hilton Motto, around the corner and they recommend this place. Absolutely awesome pub, loads of sports TV’s, very kindly put on the rugby on one although it was Italy v the Abs. Staff where very friendly which was good as from Ireland myself. Really decemt pub

We were in NYC for the long weekend and this was by far the best bar I've been to in the city. We came multiple times and every time, it was awesome. Every bartender we had was friendly, willing to chat, and gave awesome recommendations. I wish we had gotten his name, but the older Irish bartender was by far our favorite! Awesome guy tbh.

As a diehard BARCA fan, this bar is just for you. I experienced the semifinal loss to INTER here and let me tell you it was one of the most depressing but amazing experiences I’ve ever had.

Greatest Manchester United pub in NYC! They accommodated me even though a little late. Great eats and drinks and a United atmosphere!

The best place to watch sports games in the area. Tons of international games as well. Great for large groups and the drinks and food are bomb. If you’re ever in the area make sure to check this place out.

Stopped here while walking through the city. Came during a Man City Football game and the energy level was awesome! Got me personally, the most important thing was how they resolved an issue. I ordered a Spaten lager and it didn’t taste right to me(it’s one of my favorite beers). The bar staff not only relaxed my beer, but investigated why it didn’t taste right(which they agreed) and changed the keg. To a beer lover like me, that type of detail and service is important.

Their cheeseburger was tasty and the fries were perfectly crisp.

I went here for the USA v. Wales world cup match. My friends and I were greeted by friendly staff and a perfect environment to watch. Theyve started using an app to place food and drink orders, which took only a minute to figure out. Once the order was placed, we were surprised at how fast the food and drinks were delivered, and how good everything was. It was packed during the match, but the bar staff still managed to take orders quickly and accurately. Another impressive feat that made the whole experience that much better. I would definitely recommend coming here for a game day, or even casual drinks with friends.

Really cool sportsbar in the heart of NYC. It’s an incredible experience going into a crowded bar at 9:30 in the morning. The bartender is very polite and since there are a lot of TVs around it’s easy to support your favorite soccer team (FC Köln) even in NYC!

I have been coming here for over 13 years. Definitely one of the best bars in New York, with great food and large selection of beer and drinks, including wine! And if you like to watch football, this is the place!!!

Lived next to this bar for 8 years. Smithfield hall still reigns supreme as the best place to watch soccer/futbol in nyc. Definitely make reservations for big matches and be ready for a packed bar. This is where the Europeans in nyc go to see their teams !

Great bar to watch football (the one you play with your feet). This seems to be the go to place for the FCB supporters, both of them, FC Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona. Was glad to find the home of the FC Bayern München Fan Club New York to watch Bundesliga football. The place serves a good selection of beers including German Bitburger (in a can) and more importantly Paulaner Hefeweizen among a couple of local beers. Been back recently after 2 years and happy to see they added Franziskaner Hefeweizen to their beer selection. Will be back again!

Had a few beers and a really yummy burger here. The staff were very and it had a great atmosphere with plenty of space to feel like you're not on top of the next person. OFFICIAL BAR FOR BARCELONA FÚTBOL CLUB FANS. In this bar you always can watch the Barcelona games. It doesn't matter the hour and also they pass a lot of soccer games. There are a lot of Barcelona fans and you feel great there. In this occasion I ate this Phillly cheese steak sandwich with fries, it was ok you can eat their food without complain understanding you are in a bar to enjoy a game and maybe drink not for special food. I had an awesome time stopping here to watch the West Ham game during my trip to NYC, the NYC Hammers group definitely helped with the atmosphere since we were the biggest fan group in the place. Great bar and the official supporters bar for the American outlaws NYC chapter. Came to see a US game and they had it playing on all the TV's. Be sure to get the candied bacon as it's a must! We also had the Jameson wings and they were great too!

Every worker from the security, to the hostess, to the wait staff and bartender were so kind and accommodating. Whoever is doing the hiring here is doing an excellent job. We came to watch UFC fights and they totally welcomed us even with 4 kids. To top it off the food was good too!

V busy on Utd match days so recommend getting there early and if you want a table you should reserve as all tables were reserved and we got there 30 mins after opening - an hour before the game and there were only a few seats at the bar left. We had to pay $38 each to get in which we didn't know about but that included 3 drinks tickets and the tip so worked out really well and made being served quicker as most people had tickets which meant less time for bar staff on each customer. Great atmosphere and bar staff were great and got served quickly Lovely Irish breakfast

It's probably the best ⚽️ bar in New York and definitely one of the best sports bars in the US. Fantastic party atmosphere during World Cups, Euros, Copa America, and whenever one of the home teams plays - it's especially fun for Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona games. The setup is great - you can view multiple screens from any spot, which is great for weekend matchdays, Champions League days, March Madness, NFL gameday, or whenever there are multiple games going on simultaneously. There's a large selection of beers on tap, a full bar, and excellent bar food - the burgers, Jameson wings, and fries are imho among the best in the genre. The service is professional and friendly, which adds to a phenomenal atmosphere.

As a Nottingham Forest fan living in NYC, how I’ve only discovered this bar is beyond me. Decent selection of European draft beers and food, ordered the bacon sarnie (kudos on calling it that btw), I also kept seeing pretzels the size of a small car being served which was impressive in its own right, so even if you don’t like sports but like massive knots of dough this is a sight to behold in its own right. Atmosphere wasn’t obnoxious and plays all the important football matches with a scheduled and well organized setup, TV’s are labelled with what game they’re playing and they have a calendar on their website with what games they’re showing in advance. Although they should be more active with their instagram but hey? So congratulations Smithfield Hall, you’ve successfully managed to drag me from the depths of Brooklyn all the way into the city to what football. I look forward to coming here more often.

As a family of Nottingham Forest fans in NYC we were obliged to attend the Boxing Day game against Spurs. The bar has several teams who use the location of which Forest being the biggest 😉😂 Arrived at 9am for a 10am KO, greeted by the landlord (top guy from Louth) and settled down with a Guinness. Food was really good , we had the Irish and American breakfasts which were quality. All the Premier League games were on with one end of the bar Forest at one end and West Ham the other, both who rolled out winners, it was a great atmosphere.and a great place to watch the football

Huge selection of draft beers 🍻 Big food many but food is just okay Chicken wings not Buffalo wings Classic burger with cheese was good and French fries is delicious 🤤 For the burger - onions were missing Great service Plenty of space Draft beers was served in not chilled glass I guess because of a lot of clients. But the most upsetting situation- not really a nice neighborhood- so many drug addictive people was outside , just be careful after you leave this place

Really good and fresh tasting cheeseburgers with fresh hand cut fries (included) and a brioche bun which we had nicely toasted. Also nice, crunchy and tasty thin cut sweet potatoe fries. Great atmosphere to watch sports, host events and great outdoor seating where sports can be watched as well on numerous TVs facing the windows in the front of the restaurant. Really nice, friendly and on point service too. Overall A+ place and definitely recommended 👌

I can't talk about the atmosphere during sport events because I went there when it was almost empty in the middle of the afternoon for lunch. But I have to say the food is awesome and the staff is really sweet and helping. I had ribs tacos which were absolutely delicious. I was astonished by how tasty it was! Same for the burgers. The quantity is also perfect (as a French I am not used to American huge portions). Prices are alright, I would even say rather cheap for NYC. It really was a nice surprise!

What a Great Sports Bar! Electric atmosphere when the games are on. We watched the MU vs Everton game. It was a fantastic experience doing so at Smithfield Hall! A very spacious sports bar. The beer selection here is pretty good and the service was outstanding, very attentive. Minus one star though because the planters in the outdoor seating space are swarming with mosquitoes, something easily preventable with a little maintenance.

Solid sports bar. Really good burger and fries, nice selection of beers. Service is fast and correct, you order through the app so waiters don’t say much (and if you’re inside they can’t anyway because it’s always pretty loud with bros cheering and shouting at the football/hockey game). Overall good place for a beer and a bite of you sit outside or don’t mind the loud cheering (or indeed want to do some of it yourself)

Awesome pub to watch United. 4 stars because last weekend when United were playing City, I approached the corner of the bar (near the point of sale system) to ask if the fries on the counter were mine and watched as a waitress took a handful of fries (before I asked her if they were mine), closed them in her fist and then confirmed with the bartender that this order of fries was for me.

Great spot to catch the Raptors game in NYC. The food is surprisingly good, the service was decent aside from a long wait for our food order. I would certainly go back, not too crowded and a lot of TV's to catch a game.

All ok. But not really the best wings i had so far. Small plates. The staff was friendly and we got out drinks and food as ordered and pretty fast. Several different tv screens show a variety of different sports. There are tables on the in and outside.

First time here. It was fun but they appeared to be under staffed. We asked for the same thing by multiple times before we received it. The Costco breaded chicken they served was cold as well as the fries they brought out. This is a cool place come to if you’re looking to watch a game with a friend but food wise I don’t recommend it. Oh, don’t forget to TIP. We thought gratuity was included in the bill and have left the premises when a waitress followed us with the receipt asking for a tip. I get it but definite unprofessional as tipping is not mandatory by law. NOTE to owner just add gratuity to the bill. Having a white woman clashing down group of black people is nerve-wracking.

We tried Smithfield Hall in September 2022, since we were staying down the street. Went during MNF and the place was quite full but we found a table. We had the wings and cheeseburgers. The food was delicious. They had several choices of sauces for the wings. And great service. Fast forward to September 9, 2023 and this place did a 180. The bar side was packed with very loud rugby fans and no place to sit, so we opted for the "restaurant" side. It was quiet with only a few customers. However, we had to wait 10 minutes before anyone came to our table. We ordered nachos with guac, nachos were room temperature. Fiance had fish and chips. There was more batter than fish. I ordered the wings, but all they served was some kind of Korean sauce and not crispy. I also ordered the sausage which was the only thing that was good. Don't know if new owners or managers, but we will never return and would never recommend this place.

Incredibly rude (and definitely not sober) bartenders, football games don’t fit the TVs, staff will literally throw middle fingers at patrons. Food is good and so is the TV set up for sports. Shame the service is so incredibly offensive.

It was my favorite place before the pandemic, now I feel that magic has been lost, the joy and euphoria of people watching the UFC, I went back to New York and wanted to come and drink beers and enjoy the fights that I remembered so fondly, now that magic that I remember has been lost since they don't put up the UFC fights because for some reason they don't pay the PPV... Terrible experience at this place last night. You have to order on an app which I always find annoying, but whatever. My friend ordered some sort of fancy sparkling water, and the waitress came out and let us know they didn’t have it, and offered soda water instead. And that’s fine, but they still charged us $7 for the original item, and then they didn’t even bring the soda water! Would not recommend

One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Came in to watch the NCAA Tournament with friends. They had just ordered fries but the waitress told me the kitchen was closed. No biggie, but then she said I can go get a slice across the street and bring it in if I want. I did just that and came back and then the doorman said I couldn’t bring food in. I told him what the waitress said and my friends concurred, so he asked the bartender who said I couldn’t. I asked him why the waitress told me otherwise causing me to go across the street in the pouring rain, if now they were gonna make me eat it outside. He then started yelling at me, so I found the waitress and asked what was up. She said they decided to be jerks about it so I said fine, I’d eat outside the bar. Then the bartender yells “go ahead eat your pizza!” So I go to get it and then he starts yelling at me in front of my friends about making a scene. INSANE! So I decide to be the bigger man and go outside to eat it anyway. I kid you not the doorman comes out 5 mins later, I’m thinking he’s gonna apologize or something, he says I’m 86’d!!!! I obviously argued with him, and even used some choice words at that point, cause I was rightfully pissed since I took my slice outside despite the contradictory messages and YELLING. So he doubles down and says I have to leave and am banned! What is with this place??? At least he let me say bye to my friends before leaving, but it was mega embarrassing as they were work friends. Totally wild! This place needs to be shut down or have a full staff overhaul or something! I’ve worked in the service industry and seen some wild stuff but this takes it.

The bartender Earl was extremely rude right from the get go. I asked for two seltzer waters and he looked at me like I took his lunch money. After about 5 minutes the seltzers came and he asked me the name for the tab. When i said I didnt have a tab, he demanded a card and went ahead to charge me $6. He left the bartop a mess and had an awful demeanor even after the couple we were with ordered two cocktails. On the bright side, the security guard Chief was very personable and made me feel welcomed. I would only go back to this bar to talk basketball with Chief on the OUTSIDE.

Food was garbage. Overpriced everything. Atmosphere was horrible. Owner or bartender who I assume owned it was rude and acted horribly to several customers.

Just merchants. They do not like sport. I saw all the scene with the guy at the door aggresively accusing a girl of being pushed by her (c'mon, she was calm and 1 mt distant). Moreover, they covered the windows to preventing the queue to watch the match while waiting to enter and buy drinks and food. Disgusting approach to fans

Stopped in there to watch the Yankees game I got wings and mozzarella sticks and fries Wings weren't even really that good no flavor at all the pretzel I had with the beer was like eating a branch that's how hard and stale it was and the fries were half for all and when I complained to the owner about the food and the price he threw me out and told me never to come back and guess what I won't come back and I'm going to tell everybody in my Law Firm to avoid coming there

TLDR; There's basically a mandatory $40 fee/person at the door to watch "big games". I have never ever left a bad review for any establishment in my life, no matter how atrocious. But this warrants a review because it is disingenous, bordering on scammy. Came a long way from NJ to this bar to watch the Manchester derby since someone recommended it on the United Stand Channel. There was a mandatory $40 fee at the door "for drinks". I had not planned to drink and would have ordered food instead but of course that was not possible. But since I had traveled such a long distance and the game was already ten minutes in, I paid to go in. When I got in, the place was packed full (which is why I gave a 5 for atmosphere). There was nowhere to sit, much less order the drinks I had paid for outside. I asked a waiter and was told the bar was full. They could have told me this outside and I wouldn't have wasted my money or time going in. But it's easy to see why they didn't say that before I went in, since of course there's a mandatory $40 entry fee. Anyway I left the place almost immediately. Missed the Manchester derby and lost $40. Would not recommend if you have an alternative. I just dug through their previous reviews and saw that people have complained about this in the past. Clearly, they won;t do anything about it. For a club as big as United, we can do better. I will be in touch with bars/pubs in the area to see how we can set up an alternative location for United fans on game days. Stay tuned.

We understand not being let in due to capacity — that’s fair. But giving a 5-minute notice right at 15 minutes of the game , while a huge line of fans stood outside already late to the match, is just poor management. No effort to inform or help — it felt careless. That’s not how you treat fellow Barça fans.
