We like to eat at locally owned places. Found Anzio's online. Exceeded our expectations all around! From our observations, there is a culture of excellence here! Thankyou!
Food was amazing! Those lobster ravilolis were so delicious 😋 a must have! Fried zucchini and the garlic bread was fire. Definitely coming back! Brittany was great! Thank you
I met a good friend that I haven't seen in awhile for some good food and to catch up on things. I ordered a cup of Minestrone soup and some wings. When I got my soup, I said WOW! This looks amazing 🤩 I took a spoon 🥄 full of this hearty soup, and baby listen. I was in HEAVEN 😋❤️. The server asked me if I liked the soup? I said no, I LOVE 💓 this soup. I wish I had of ordered the Biggest bowl they had in house, It has to be the best tasting soup I ever had. When I go back I'm going to order me a bowl of this hearty soup and take something to go home. I hope they have extra large bowls lol. 😋🤩 I wish I had of taken a picture 🖼️ but it was so good 😊 that was the last thing on my mind 😂
Since I have recently moved into the Phoenix area I have been here 3 times and tried different dishes at various times. Every time the food is amazing, the staff are attentive and I have never had to wait long to be seated. It is convenient since I live across the street from the place. The interior has good lighting and the art around the restaurant is a nice touch to the place. I will continue to keep coming back and of course bring others when they are in town.
First-timer and I will be returning; Menu items alone crushed it, and food was phenomenal! Chef comes to serve your plates, which I enjoyed a ton!! Very cheery environment-Service was speedy but accurate. Love the camaraderie with staff also.
My boyfriend and I discovered this place about a month and a half ago. Since then, we’ve been there five times. The food is phenomenal, I typically get the sampler platter which has chicken Parmesan, fettuccine Alfredo, and lasagna. I would eat here every night if I could. Just recently we went and I just got the Alfredo and my boyfriend got the shrimp linguine. Both delicious. Staff is very friendly and prices are very reasonable.
Great tasting Italian food! I had the sausage ravioli with vodka sauce. It was great. Cesar salad was also good. We’ll be back next time we’re in the mood for Italian.
5⭐️’s all the way! Food was amazing with huge portions and inexpensive. Service was amazing; quick and efficient. Manicotti for the husband, lobster ravioli for the wife with salads and appetizers and cost was considerably low. Can’t wait to try the cannoli and tiramisu we took home! Wonderful restaurant
My girlfriend and I went to Anzio’s tonight while visiting Phoenix on a family vacation, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely awesome and you really get a lot of bang for your buck — generous portions and incredible quality. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. The owner and staff were genuinely kind, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. To top it all off, they even surprised us with a cannoli at the end, which was such a thoughtful touch. Great people, great food, and great vibes all around. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area!
Can't begin to tell you how pleased my wife, and I were with our first dining experience at Anzio's. Sasha our server was terrific! Very personable and attentive to ensuring we were pleased. His recommendations were delicious (Shrimp Scampi & Lobster Ravioli)! In town for a soccer tournament but plan on coming back one more time during our short stay.
I really enjoyed this restaurant and all it had to offer. The food was amazing I enjoyed every bite of my appetizer of cheese sticks and my italian sausage sub sandwich. The service was spot on my waitress was very pleasant professional and resourceful., The ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant was fun and joyful. This is a great restaurant. I highly recommend a visit. I know I'll be back.
We had dinner at ANZIOS Italian Restaurant last night, and everything was amazing! The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and even when we had a small issue, it was handled quickly and professionally. You can really tell this place values their guests and runs with integrity. Every visit here is a great experience — wonderful food, wonderful people, and a welcoming atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!
This was recommended by an employee of the Brass Armadillo. I'm happy that I went. Great cozy atmosphere, great, efficiency service, my order was accurate and the food overpasses the value. Went there with my 81 year old mother visiting from FL and she and I enjoyed lunch very much. Great value for your money! Don't think about, Just go!
Taking advantage of any savings is a good thing, so our family has been using Groupon to stretch our dining dollar. This time, the restaurant we chose is Anzio's Italian Restaurant, featuring old world decor, a friendly staff, and very good Italian food. Their lunch menu comes with a choice of soup or salad and yummy garlic bread. My wife and daughter had the Lobster Ravioli, which was rich and creamy and full of flavor. I had the Chicken Parmigiana with Alfredo pasta, also quite good. They are currently offering dine-in as well as take-out for lunch and dinner; please support our local businesses.
We went to lunch with our Pastor, his wife and one of their daughters after service. This is their favorite restaurant. I love Italian food, so my hubby and I were thrilled to try Anzios. The waitress (Haley) was excellent. The food was outstanding. It wasn’t crowded and it was quiet inside. We didn’t have to wait for a table. It’s wheelchair friendly. The parking lot is small, but there were several handicap parking spaces available in front.
Our first time eating at Arzios Italian Restaurant was 2/14/25. It will definitely become a place we frequent often! We were there for an early dinner on Valentine's Day around 4:30 p.m. They were already extremely busy. We had a choice of waiting 30 minutes for a table or to sit at the bar. We went with the bar and we were not disappointed. We had the Tuscan pasta with shrimp & the combination Italian plate. We both had the Caesar salad. It came with the most delicious Italian garlic bread. Both meals were outstanding! We had two glasses of Chianti red wine. The atmosphere, staff, and food were all exemplary! We highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!
Was looking for a great pizza location while on vacation. Found this gem! They have lunch specials, and we got there during that time frame. Friends got chicken Alfredo it came with soup or salad and bread sticks. I got a 7 inch pizza, and it was very tasty. Highly recommended the pizza. Friends said chicken Alfredo was amazing as well. It was also my birthday so they gave me a very nice birthday treat. And friends got chocolate cake and the other got a canolie. It's all super tasty. Service was amazing and on point for our visit. Can't wait to visit again
The food was delicious. We started with Toasted Cheese Ravioli. It was nicely breaded and crispy served with red sauce. Nice start to our dinner. I ordered Parmigiana (eggplant), which came with spaghetti on the side with a house salad. My husband had the Tuscan Pasta with chicken, which also had a side salad. We rounded out the meal with garlic bread. The wait staff was lovely and attentive. Our water glasses were quickly refilled, and food came out hot and in a timely fashion. There is no room for dessert. We took home leftovers that were as good the next day.
This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. My order was delivered. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, salad, and garlic bread. The food was delicious. I gave four stars because the garlic bread was greasy and stuffed in the container, which was hard to eat. I recommend this location. I recommend this restaurant.
Great place to go casually or formally! The lobster ravioli was worth the price, as was the chicken Alfredo. Everything tasted great and the servers were really polite. The only thing I didn’t like was the garlic bread, too greasy and not much flavor, otherwise all was good
Staff was amazing and spot was cool! The food was ok. We got the appetizer sampler and the breaded zucchini and breaded mushrooms were really good! The spaghetti with marinara was pretty standard and the chicken parm sandwich was as well.
This was a great place overall. I’m sticking with 4 stars for now because I only tried one dish. My husband wasn’t feeling Italian so he got a burger! I ordered spaghetti with Italian sausage/marinara and it was delicious. Second visit, lunchtime on a Saturday. Seniors can order off the lunch menu any day between 11-3 pm. We had the fettuccine Alfredo and spaghetti with meat sauce. Meat sauce wasn’t very meaty, Alfredo was good. Garlic bread that accompanied both was excellent!
Waited for a couple of minutes at the front door as the female servers chatted and laughed in the kitchen. After we were finally seated, our server was efficient. He seemed to be just doing his job but not loving it. The food was extremely tasty. We had the lobster ravioli, and the mushroom ravioli, and the shrimp appetizer. Even as a cheese lover, I found there to be way too much cheese on top of the ravioli. The salad was delicious. Prices were decent. Opinion: Very flavorful food. M’eh overall.
American Italian just like I remember. The food was fast. We both had the lasagna, pasta Alfredo and chicken parmasean combo. All were good. We had the Caesar salad and corn chowder that comes with. I think we had a newer waitress as we had some issues like no silverware, no refills on water or our drinks. We've been here many, many times over the years. Still great food!😋
Didn’t go in but ordered Uber Eats to have dinner with my son in the hospital. I have been ordering all week from local restaurants and all have been great. I rarely leave bad reviews unless it’s something that wasn’t just a bad night. We had two of the most disgusting looking and feeling salads sent with our dinner. The lettuce was literally slimy and brown. As a restaurant and business owner, it is obvious they had old lettuce they just decided to use even though it was awful. The pasta and breadsticks were fine. For the price, it was what would be expected and no complaints. If ordering, get the soup with it rather than the salad. I am thankful I was there for dinner with my son because I would have been mortified sending that for his dinner and not seeing it for myself to throw it away.
Im leaving a review in hopes that Anzio Mgmt reads this and looks into it. First let me say, we absolutely love Anzios and have been loyal customers for over 30 years. However, our last 3 dining experiences have been so disappointing. Is there a different cook in the kitchen? Are you sourcing your chicken or products from new vendors? The pizza just doesn't taste as good as it used to. The crust is still fabulous but the sauce is different and used too sparingly. Something is off and I cant quite put my finger on it. It doesn't taste as good as it used to. The chicken wings are no longer crispy and delicious. The chicken is rubbery tasting and not crispy at all. The skin is soft and then sauced. So so disappointing. Please look into what is happening in your kitchen and return to your old cooking standards. I drive way too far to enjoy the pizza and wing special only to be sad and dissatisfied afterwards. It's not terrible but it's not what it used to be.
During my travels, I encountered Anzio's Italian restaurant. I entered with the notion that I would be eating Italian food to be quite honest with you. It seemed as though the food was purchased at a nearby supermarket and popped in the microwave. The Italian bread that should have been garlic bread was actually sliced bread with some butter added on and toasted and to top it off. It was cold. I've had minestrone soup in the past and the soup. I had was definitely a progresso. Canned soup. The Lasagna I ordered was very mediocre. The sauce seemed as though it was watered down. And the center was mildly warm. Overall, the service was okay upon entering the establishment. I waited for about 7 minutes to be seated. This was during midday service. I don't know, but I'm originally from New York and I've had 5 star. Italian cuisine, this was definitely not italian cuisine. This was a very shoddy attempt to simulate italian food.I hope there aren't many italians that go to this restaurant.Because it would definitely be insulting to the italian culture overall.I give this place a two and a half stars.
Meh. It was edible. I was passing thru town while on a trip for work. When I got there, it took a while for anyone to approach to seat me. When they did, I could not tell if they actually worked there or not - out was a young man wearing very shabby all black clothes. No branding whatsoever. In my confusion as to what he wanted, he starts speaking Spanish to me, asking if I'm there for a pick up for delivery. No. I'm waiting to be seated. I placed my order, and while waiting, realized they are trying, but the place needs work. The menu has teriyaki and Hawaiian pizza!?!?! I got a meatball pizza. I swear the pepperoni pizza from the gas station down the street would have tasted better! I asked for oregano, and that didn't help any. As for value, slightly better than calling delivery for a national chain. Definitely my first and last time there.
This place Claims to be “homemade” food but yet their Alfredo sauce comes in a bag their red sauce comes in big cans that they blend together their Raviolis are prepackaged and frozen. And so many more things come in cans such as both olives artichokes their cherry topping etc. Their cheesecake is bought at Costco and their chocolate cake and tiramisu is also prepackaged. There is mold in their beer fridge directly underneath the glasses there is hundreds of dead bugs underneath their booths and I have seen some live bugs as well. Only a few things are made every day for consumers to eat fresh.
Garlic bread was basically butter saturated bread with no garlic flavor. Sausage ravioli was drowning in mozzarella and too much sauce. The salmon pesto pasta was overly soaked in olive oil or pesto. The basil pesto sauce had no flavor The salmon piece was the only item perfect on the plate. Minestroni soup was also delicious!

Anzios: Glendale's Quirky Culinary Contradiction
Anzios in Glendale is one of those local spots that gets people talking, and not always about the same thing. Marketed as a deli, you'll find plenty of folks walking in expecting an Italian feast, only to stumble upon menu items like teriyaki and Hawaiian pizza. It's a culinary enigma, to say the least. But let's not write it off completely. Some diners have had genuinely delightful experiences. Take the Shrimp Scampi or the Lobster Ravioli – these dishes have been hailed as 'delicious' and 'e...
