I’ve been eyeballing MAMAK for a while and I’m so glad we finally tried it! OH EM GEE! It absolutely lived up to the hype. We started with the garlic edamame, which was full of flavor, and I tried lychee nectar for the first time… so good and super refreshing. The jumbo wings with ginger scallion oil were insane! 10/10! But the real winner for me was the wonton mee ramen. Wow. Easily one of my favorites ever. The chicken wontons were incredible, the BBQ pork was perfectly done, and the bok choy was spectacular. The food came out incredibly fast. The ambiance is beautiful: big, modern, and very spacious, which makes it a great spot to actually enjoy your meal. And the best part? We only spent about $55 with tip… such a deal for the quality and amount of food. This place is officially at the top of my list, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend.

We were craving for Malaysian food. We were lucky to find this place. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get a table despite not having a reservation. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was decorated nicely and clean. We ordered Kari Mee, Nasi Goreng Indonesia, and Letter Wrap. All of them were delicious and flavorful. The price was great and reasonable.

Mamak’s foods were so good! We’ve ordered Nasi Goreng Indonesia (Indonesian Fried Rice), Mamak Kari with Beef as the protein, Pad Thai, Tofu app and they all went out so good!!!!! And QUICK SERVICE as well. Our server was so so super nice! She was awesome and very attentive to what we need. Parking might be a bit tricky tho but if you care about their foods, go ahead parked and walked there 😊 Atmosphere was great! Will be back again if we ever be in the area! Give Mamak Asian Street Food a big try!

Five stars in all categories. This was our first time dining at a Malaysian restaurant in Orlando. As a food enthusiast, I was thrilled to experience the unique flavors of the dishes we ordered. We started with the appetizer, Pasembur salad. Fresh jicama sprinkled with brown sauce gave the salad a satisfying crunch, and the sauce had a truly unique flavor. The Yangzhou fried rice with shrimp (no soy sauce) was very good but lacked some heat. Adding a little chili paste have it the extra kick it needs. The Indian mee goreng also had a unique flavor, with well seasoned noodles and nicely balanced spices. The kari mee, a noodle soup, was perfect, great spices and bold flavors. We plan to visit again to try more dishes.

Southeast Asian cuisine in a lively dining room on Orlando’s East Colonial Drive. We’ve been twice recently and just love this place. It’s always packed but easy to get seated. The dining room is lively and staff is constantly keeping a watchful eye. The Summer Rolls are a great starter. If you like cold noodles, you can’t go wrong with the Sesame Chilled Noodles. The Lettuce Wraps are a great vegetarian option, both light and packed with flavor. Last but definitely not least, the Wonton with Hot Sauce. Don’t pass this one up, I still dream about it!

The food was very good! We tried a nice variety and it was a good mix of sweet and savory flavors the cream cheese Rangoons were very savory with a nice garlic taste while the house fries were a bit sweet with the light spice of the sauce!

They serve tasty lettuce wraps, bulgogi beef, bao sandwiches, and excellent fried rice. The service is quick, and the food is wholesome!

This was our first visit to Mamak and it was great, we will return! Food and service was great. Does tend to get busy, but they seem to have a fast turnover on the tables.

So happy to have some authentic Asian food travelling through Orlando. We were a bit skeptical initially as the decor is modern and we were not wanting fusion Asian food. But we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious and authentic food with great service. We tried Asian Sesame Noodles, Fresh Rolls, Chicken Satay and Indonesian Fried Rice. All tastes great and the fried rice was so favorful. Chicken satay was tasty and enjoyable with a great peanut dip but not yet the Malaysian style satay we were craving. If you enjoy real Asian food, you have to try this place!

This has been a staple in this area for a long time, and I haven't been here in a very long time. So I was overdue for a good fresh review. Came here for several delicious tapas and got exactly that. Split up some lettuce wraps, beef bulgolgi skewers, roti and sesame balls. Perfect size plates for getting multiple things and splitting it up amongst the table. Everyone gets a little of something. The lettuce wraps were messy to eat but very flavorful and had lots of good textures to them. I was fighting with that half head of lettuce though. The beef skewers were super tender, the roti is always a big highlight for me. I could eat 50 if it wouldn't break my bank and I would inject that curry dipping sauce into my veins if I didn't face consequences. Ended my meal with a few bites of sweet chewy sesame balls and called it a day. Nice open concept inside. Service is fast and efficient. Restaurant is clean. Nothing bad to say about this place

I highly recommend the roti not pictured but trust me it’s good. Also the duck lettuce wrap 10/10 Chicken wings are great but the sauce is pretty basic and the drink was a NO for me. Mamak still gets a 10/10 the food is always on point I personally didn’t like the drink.

This place should be rated higher. I agree with other reviews that this is probably better than Hawkers. The noodles are amazing! We’ll definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.

I love everything about this restaurant. From the ambiance to the food. I come here specifically for the Roast duck noodle soup which is my favorite thing ever. I’m a sucker for soup. They also have the best (and crispiest) chicken wings. I recently tried the chili wontons and they were 12/10 i would definitely get them again. I cant wait to come back here.

This restaurant might be my new obsession. I came by on a whim after seeing it while driving down town, and I am so glad I did! The service was impeccable. As a solo diner, I always appreciate kind servers who make the experience so special. The menu is packed with unique bites and comfortable classics. I tried the roti canai and was totally impressed by this. The dough was flaky and the sauce it was paired with was rich and full of flavor. I would have ordered 5 more plates if I could! For my main course I tried the Hokkien char mee noodles which were also fantastic! Also packed with flavor and super filling. I will definitely be returning with friends to try more items on the menu!

Hawkers move out of the way, this is the really good Asian fusion place I highly recommend! The fried octopus skewers were INCREDIBLE! The roti canai was really good too, and the rice and noodle dishes were great! And it's not too loud and pretty good service. The only issue I had was parking. I had more trouble finding parking here than finding something good to say about Russell Brand. Also, the distance from the front door to the host counter is the distance from Orlando to Miami. So be aware of that, but otherwise I HIGHLY recommend!

✨Delicious Malaysian Food - Cool Atmosphere✨ I'll be direct: Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 wrecked me. And since direct travel to Kuantan wasn't possible, I required Malaysian food to make me feel better. x'D Thank goodness I found this awesome restaurant called Mamak Asian Street Food, which provided a delicious Malaysian cuisine experience. (Mamak Asian has more than Malaysian fare on their menu, including dishes from Thailand, Singapore, and others.) I ordered Roti Canai (flat bread toasted crispy-outside, fluffy-inside with a side of spicy coconut kari gravy) for an appetizer, followed by beef satay with spicy peanut sauce (one of the best dipping sauces I've ever experienced in my life), Malaysian Coconut Kari (fresh ground kari spiced gravy with a side of jasmine white rice and cucumber garnish), and Coconut Roti (roti crescent pastry filled with coconut custard, drizzled with chocolate, topped with powdered sugar and coconut flakes, served with vanilla bean ice cream) for dessert. My server, Linda, was awesome. She answered all my questions patiently and explained each dish, how to eat it properly, etc. I was initially concerned about how spicy the food would be (I can barely tolerate certain salsas), but found that the Malaysian dishes labeled "spicy" were just barely "warm" at best (not the kind of heat that stings the tongue, just sort of settles it on it briefly and then vanishes)--so don't let the "spicy" label keep you from tasting these delicious dishes! (And, of course, as this was part of my post-Jujutsu Kaisen therapy, I brought a tiny Nanami along. Enjoy the photos!) Thank you for the delicious dining experience, Mamak Asian. I'll certainly be back!

We came to try Malay cuisine and really enjoyed our food. We tried a variety of dishes and really enjoyed them. All of the prices were reasonable, and the variety of Asian choices was extensive. The service was friendly and attentive.

Any of their House-Specials are delicious and note that when it has a spicy icon, the dish IS spicy and one should take caution before eating. We started with drinks, the saki cocktails, which were very nicely balanced and more nuianced than expected. Next was the roti canai, I have never had roti before, but the nice crisp outside and soft inside has me hooked. Finally we ended the course with a prawn noodle soup. The spicyness was detectable but it was offset by the pleasant sweetness of the prawn broth and pieces. If you could only get one thing I would pick the roti, and a drink. The one awkward experience is that the building itself is a giant sound box, so it is noisy and you can hear every table being cleared. Overall I would recommend at least ordering the food to go and maybe grabbing a cocktail.

Having visited hundreds of different restaurants across Orlando for years, I can easily say Mamak is easily one of the best! DO NOT pass up the opportunity to come here because you will not be disappointed!!! I’ve been to Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and several other countries across SE Asia, and I think Mamak does an awesome job at replicating the cuisine you find in those countries. Their food is most specifically Singaporean, Malaysian, and Indonesian - and if you’ve never had this food before, you’re in for a treat! It’s easily some of the best and most flavorful cuisine in all of Asia. Mamak offers an awesome number of tapas (small plates) that you can share amongst family and friends you go to dinner with. The best thing about it is it’s FAST! If you order just a bunch of tapas, even on a busy day, you will wait almost no time at all before your first dishes come out. So if you’re hungry, this is the perfect place to eat at as you’re not going to be waiting like at other places! NOTE: if you order larger dishes they tend to take a bit longer, so just keep that in mind! However, do you even need to order the main dishes? Not really! Out of the many times I’ve come to Mamak, I’ve only ever gotten mains twice. Every other time I’ve gotten a few different tapas and I’ve left very satisfied. You NEED to try their roti canai - this is without question. If you could only get one thing from their menu, this would be it. It’s a crispy flatbread that you pull apart warm and dip into one of the best sauces I’ve ever had. You could use this sauce for literally everything and I wish I knew how to make it. Here’s all the other tapas I recommend: wonton with hot sauce, ageta shokushu, coconut kari mamak wings, satay chicken lettuce wraps, beef bulgogi skewers, pork belly Asian bao, cream cheese rangoons, golden wontons, and pasembur salad. I’ve gotten nearly every tapas on the menu but these are my favorites. You could get any combination of these and you’d be in for a real treat. As for mains, pad Thai, hokkien char mee, Indian mee goreng, char kway teow, and nasi goreng Indonesia are all great options. But like I said, you really don’t even need to order the bigger plates because it’s better to try a larger variety of smaller things because you can then try a lot more different foods. I also wouldn’t even recommend dessert - the tapas outweigh the desert a lot! You should have a nice, big meal sharing lots of tapas with everyone, then walk next door to Sampaguita to try out unique Filipino ice cream. That sounds like the perfect night out in this area to me. All in all, I’ve never had any issue with service here at Mamak. All waiters/waitresses have been fast, friendly and helpful, food has always come out perfect, prices aren’t too expensive (though certainly not cheap, so be aware), and the only real complaint is it can get a bit loud when it’s busier. To me, I don’t even care because I’m enjoying my food too much! 🤣 I love Mamak! This place will forever be one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando. I will continue to come back because I love their food!!!!

Well decorated restaurant. The ambiance was nice. Customer service was excellent even though they were short staff. The food was incredible. The flavors exploded in my mouth as soon as I took a bite. It was a little pricey, but the quality made up for it.

Had a few apps and entrees, all were delicious except for the summer rolls, way too much lettuce in them. Roti was outstanding! Plenty of parking in the back. Atmosphere is decent, could use some private booths as you can hear the conversations of those seated next to you.

What a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, every single dish was amazing. I took my Mom and my Brother. My Mom is super picky and complains about almost everything. But not this time, she loved it and can't wait to go back. We had the beef satay, the duck fried rice, the roti was also so good, the ginger fish, the chicken pad thai, the thai tea. Everything was so good.

Wonderful. Wish I could go back! The Kari sauce is EXACTLY like the soup I remember from Malaysia. They called it Lacksah there but the flavors are the same. Wow! Took me right back. Summer fresh rolls were mediocre. Five spice fish was fine. Coffee was wonderful. Wish I would have had stomach space for more noodles!!

Rice was amazing. I didn't care for the veggie spring rolls they didn't taste fresh to me. But my boyfriend loves them. The dipping sauce was so tasty. Try the black bean fish (it's fried) and so good. Mojito didn't have much alcohol but was super refreshing full of coconut.

Went here after work with my partner and wow, I'm so glad we did! The Roti Canai was DELICIOUS. We had to get an extra order of that curry dip and pour it over our side of rice. The ginger and scallion fish was satisfying as well. The fish itself was light and airy, and it was glazed in this wonderfully savory sauce that paired well with the vegetables. My partner also ordered their wings, and she said they were fried perfectly. Truly, we were both so happy with how everything tasted, we'll definitely be back to try more menu items.

We have been eating from Mamak for years. But I wanted to share a great experience I had over the phone with McKenzie this evening. (not sure of the spelling) We have not ordered in a while because we are focused on intaking less salt among many things. I called the store to see if they had anything that could be made with less salt. Mckenzie made a few suggestions and then went the extra mile to go speak to the kitchen manager. I am so grateful for this extra step! We were able to find that a dish that works for us because of McKenzie and the kitchen staff. Thank you for your flexibility and willingness to help! I found it really refreshing in a world where no one seems to want to help anyone anymore. Mamak will always be our go-to treat meal!

Mamak Asian Street Food is legit - I love this place. Every dish I’ve tried has been solid, but the Singapore Mei Fun really stands out: perfectly seasoned, great texture, and full of flavor. Dinner was just so tasty! We got the bulgogi skewer, pork belly, roast dock, spicy dumplings and fried rice. I think every dish had a great flavor to them. I did not need to add any extra sauces to them. Portion size is perfect to order many different apps. Restaurant is also not expensive. I recommend for a date night.

I was amazed by the quality of their food and the aesthetics of the place. It’s located in the heart of Little Vietnam District AKA Mills 50 in Orlando. The food was so good I forgot to take photos. The drinks are very good and the service was excellent. I will return for more eats! Parking in the front is limited as it is parallel on Colonial Drive. But there is a parking lot in the back with plenty of spaces.

From the outside it may not seem a welcoming place but inside ambiance is great. The food and flavors are excellent. We have become regulars after our first visit. There are tons of vegetarian and vegan options. Some of the menu items are little pricier than expected however the quality is above par. Highly recommended!

First time trying Malaysian food and I liked it! I’m Asian, so I’m a bit picky with flavors, but everything tasted really good and well balanced not too strong, not too bland. Right middle We ordered Mari mee, Malaysian coconut kari, Wonton hot sauce, Beef satay and Roti. Everything was delicious. I like that the food wasn’t oily like some other places. It felt lighter and easier to eat. Definitely a good experience.

The Asian Bao with pork belly was soft and savory, the Char Kway Teow noodles were flavorful with shrimp and chicken, and the Wontons with Hot Sauce came drizzled with a roasted peanut-chili oil that packed some good heat. Every dish was delicious and was delivered fast. That said, the atmosphere feels more like a mall food court: very loud and lacking ambiance. Prices are reasonable, and the servers are friendly and efficient. They serve beer (though none on draft). I did notice a ceiling patch that hasn’t been painted yet. The drinks were good and refreshing, which was a plus. However, the service left something to be desired. It seemed like the waiter might have been having a rough day they were a bit distracted and not as attentive as I would have hoped. Overall, the experience was decent, and I enjoyed the food, but I think with improved service, this place could be much better. I’d consider coming back to see if things have improved.

I loved the variety of dishes we ordered but as a Malayisan, I was slightly disappointed by the recommended Char Koay teow. I highly recommend the tropical-inspired cocktails. They are fantastic!

Better than Hawkers for Malaysian/Singaporean/Indonesian street food, but sometimes it can be hit and miss. Our favorites are Roti Canai, chilled sesame noodles, stir fried green beans, and chili wontons. Service is friendly, food comes out fast, and there's usually no wait. I've come here many times and will continue coming back. Prices are reasonable.

(Tapas) Wontons W/Hot Sauce 8.5/10. The flavor is really good and not too spicy at all. I rate it a 8.5 bc the burnt sesame taste was a bit much every couple bites. Roast Duck 9/10. Cooked to perfection. Classic roast duck. Ageta Shokushu 4/10. The octopus was over fried. Like really crispy to the point I couldn’t even get it off the stick. Way too much flour. I had high hopes for this one. Asian Bao 10/10. Authentic duck bao. Extremely flavorful and juicy with the added veggies. (Charcoal Grill) Satay Skewers Chicken 10/10. So tender and cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of seasoning and the side sweet and spicy satay sauce w/peanuts matched with it so well. Bulgogi Skewers 5/10. Just taste like chunks of beef on a stick. Kind of chewy and not what I expected. Wok Rice Roast Duck Fried Rice w/ added shrimp 9/10. It was flavorful and fresh. I wish it had more duck added but I just ordered duck 🦆 on the side and it all worked out. Lychee Sake and Pineapple Sake were the best. The house Sake not so much. lol House sake tastes like some house tequila.

Had the black bean fish (a tad salty for me), bao bun (could have used more sauce) and the steak satay. I've never had Malaysian food before and I really appreciated the opportunity to try something different and experience unique flavors! The servings were larger than I expected and I was not able to finish all three on my own. I hope to go back again as there were several things on the menu that I was very interested in trying.

Came in on the Monday evening around 6:15 pm. Easily found a parking, amble seats available inside. Ordering was quick and friendly. Overall the taste was good but we prefer other Asian street food venues in Orlando. The portions, especially the beef chow fun was surprisingly small.

The food was delicious, ordered several things of the menu tapas style. The restaurant's decor is simple and airy, service was prompt and polite. and their fried banana dessert is delicious and make room for it.

As I am from Singapore, I decided to bring my boyfriend to try out the food close to my heart because he hasnt had the chance to visit yet. I ordered the Beef Hor Fun and he, the Char Kway Teow, but we both ended up liking the Beef Hor Fun more. My boyfriend loved the Roti Canai especially, it was soft but crispy. The Thai Iced Tea was spot on! The food did taste quite authentic. Would recommend it if you haven't had the chance to visit Singapore or Malaysia!

I was happily surprised by the variety of food offered, although it felt like there were more Tapas than normal meals. The fried tofu tapas came with a mountain of light fried tofu with two dipping sauces. The duck fried rice was absolutely delicious and my favorite meal of the day. However, I felt like the meal should have been topped with a few pieces of duck. I ordered a soup with chicken/shrimp wontons which had a light broth, three wontons, and two pieces of char siu. It was pretty good, but the fried rice (again) won for the tastiest thing we tried. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was open and inviting. However, once it got busier it got very loud inside and parking options became scarce.

This is a solid spot for asian street foods! I came here with my family and we ordered a lot of the Malaysian/Indonesian dishes available. The food is good! The tastes are mostly like the ones you’d get at the food stalls in Malaysia so that’s an extra plus from me. Recommended: Roti Canai Char Kway Teow Chicken Satay This place gets a 4 star because some of the food options we ordered are just *okay*. Some dishes were a bit hit for us, some were pretty good, but then the bad ones were pretty bad. I definitely do not recommend the curry with rice. Somehow the curry for the roti canai got it very right, but the actual dish (Malaysian Coconut Kari, we got it with chicken and potatoes) seemed like a watered down curry flavored broth? Either way, it’s a pretty good place to eat. I’d still recommend it but just know that some of the dishes might not be as good as the others. Only some of the dishes I had are pictured

Only give it a 4 as the general demeanor of the servers were like "we really don't want to be here." We were semi-lucky as the manager or supervisor was kinda our server, but she was busy doing all the other functions she had to do. Food was great, but one goes to a sit down restaurant for the service. Will we go back, yes - but with a lower level of expectations.

Good Malaysian food. Very tasty roti and Mee goreng . Only downside is their Vietnamese coffee doesn’t use real condensed milk. They mix condensed milk with hot water( as you could see in the picture). I drank hundreds of Vietnamese coffee but I have never had like this one. Taste too bitter.

Malaysian asian food in Orlando , a must try . This is a great spot to enjoy authentic Malaysian cuisine in a quaint and intimate setting. The restaurant boasts a wide selection of classic Malaysian dishes on their menu, and they even offer traditional Malaysian drinks such as root beer. In staying true to their authentic concept, they do not serve any beer or wine, which is completely acceptable. The staff is friendly and proficient in both Spanish and English. The only area of improvement that should be noted is that they were a bit slow towards the end to get the check and the washrooms were not as clean, which may not be ideal. However, given the exceptional service and quality of food, this is a minor issue that can be overlooked.

Lived in Malaysia for 6 years, and tasting the prawn mee brought me back!! Loved it. The chicken satay are good (though bit pricey), and roast duck fried rice was absolutely delicious (cooked in duck fat and great job on fried onion as garnish). Waitress forgot our roti canai. Come for the incredible food, stay because it takes 20 minutes to get your check! 3rd time dining here. The food is absolutely fantastic, highly recommend the wontons in hot sauce. Edamame is perfectly cooked every time, roast pork is tender and crispy. Everything could use more spice, but that’s just my preference. Service, each time, not good. Unwelcoming immediately. Very inattentive, 6 employees standing around the building, slowly moping around. Will continue to come back because the food is that good, but hopefully service can be improved!

Atmosphere is very nice. They offer really great vegan and vegetarian options. The service was really well done although sometimes they didn’t know where the order went so it took some tries to get our food. Perhaps they could definitely create a streamline or a more efficient process. I had a vegetable curry with rice and the roti canai. The flavors were really good and I would definitely recommend it. I wish the roti canai came with more roti. I have cooked this brand of roti before and I know they can definitely give a couple more pieces. I was kind of sad when it only came with one piece per order

😋HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT FOR STREET FOOD LOVERS! We stumbled across this place by accident when we were in the area. The food was very delicious but my char kway teow was a little too salty. Sadly, the roasted duck baos we ordered barely had any duck or hoisin sauce in them! The nasi goreng indonesia was not as spicy as the waitress warned us but all our dishes came out hot and fresh! There are many menu options to choose from and we will definitely be back to try the noodle soups and other tapas. The waitress was really sweet and attentive to our needs!

Well this was a bust! I will keep it short.. weird. The flavor was good but the protein ( shrimp in our case) was lacking and looks and tastes like it was a Walmart store medium sized special. Service was good and respected our protein choices, but the table cleaner was walking around; sipping on her drink and lounging around. Very strange and unprofessional. Not returning here .

In all honestly, it was just okay. I PERSONALLY felt like the flavors were muted for the American palate. Nothing we ordered tasted "bad." It just felt like they were holding back on flavor. Not pictured, but we also ordered the pan-fried pot stickers. Will I be back? Probably not. Unless Im going with a specific friend group that can't handle the heat of Asian cuisine then MAYBE. But, it's not top of my list. I gave the service 4 stars because we were seated quickly, and our server was nice. As with everything, I'll say form your own opinion. As for me, with all the different Asian restaurants around the 50 Mills area, there are definitely better places to eat.

This is a really spacious place! Parking can be a bit hard to find if packed so we just parked across the street. The food presentation wise looked great but the downside unfortunately is the flavor it’s very bland. I got the Char kway noodles and Beef satay and both kind of tasted like nothing, except the chicken from the char kway was marinated a bit. Even my friends fried rice I was surprised how it could be tasteless but it was mainly just spicy. I really didn’t want to believe the other reviews but it was watered down for an American palate unfortunately and lacks flavor and taste. I had to go home and marinate it better but overall they had decent prices and ambiance def more space than Hawkers. If you’re looking here for really good tasty food I recommend other places though

Although the restaurant has a nice setup and the staff was attentive and prompt, the food was mediocre. The dumplings were hardly pan fried and tasted very generic. The roti was pretty good. But the main dish (stir fry noodles with pork, shrimp and chicken) were soaked in the sauce and it wasn’t warm. It tasted like microwave food that hadn’t been heated up enough.

This restaurant offers street food style dishes. The portions is small. The Asian taste is not so strong though. It's been adjusted to meet American crowds. Otherwise, it'll be too strong for the Americans. However, the dishes are good. This came as a recommendation. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Parking was a bit difficult, as the shared parking lot was full, but there was plenty of street parking in the front, but Colonial Drive is busy, so be careful entering and exiting the vehicle. The traffic did not want to let you out of the parking space. I tried the chicken satay lettuce wraps and they were very tasty. (Approximately $11.50- $11.95 don't remember exact amount) The second dish was a combination chicken and shrimp, rice dish with spice level medium with a fried egg on top. (Approximately $13.50 - $13.95) It was just okay. Small portion sizes for the price. Bathrooms in the rear of restaurant near the parking lot entrance. Lunch plus tip, no beverage besides water was Approximately $36.00 I would return and try the lettuce wraps again, and another dish. Star 🌟 rating due to portion sizes and second dish just being...okay.

Cute spot! Pad Thai was not good, at all though. We also got chicken lettuce wraps, the pot stickers (fried) and the pork belly. The pork belly was good, pot stickers seemed reheated? The bottoms were kind of mushy but the flavor was great. The lettuce wraps with chicken were good. The service lacked & the hostess didn’t even acknowledge us. My daughter did enjoy her meal for the most part and is obsessed with this bottled strawberry drink they had so we’ll prob give it another shot.

My favorite were the lettuce wraps, fun for everyone and very tasty. A close second is the Pad Thai. It had fluffy eggs, tender strips of chicken and cute pieces of shrimp. The garlic scallion fish had a nice sauce but eat it warm, when it cools it becomes a lump of tough fried something. The basil rice was nice and airy with aroma. The golden wontons weren't really wontons but a fried pouch with shrimp, still good just different. The mamak delight wasn't much to have, not very flavorful. Our waitress was very nice. Overall, the food isn't entirely authentic but it hits its target audience on the better end of Americanized Asian food.

Mamak food is Indian Muslim food in Malaysia. So not exactly correct. We tried two “must get it right” food (I am ex Penang lang, so a bit fussy). Hokkien Char- black sauce fat noodles, aiyaaa! Shrimp and pork sugary sweet and noodles not really black enough. Finished the whole plate cos I’m hungry. Taste definitely not authentic but for Orlando and mainly non Malaysian taste- can do lah!! Next is curry mee- noodles were correct kind, but soggy soft-overcooked, maybe one off?? Taste ok but curry a bit powdery. I asked for chilli oil and added it to make the color more authentic. As a Malaysian, we don’t waste food and sapu the whole thing but don’t have too high expectations when you come here. The service was friendly but my drink was not refilled even though I asked for it. Our waitress didn't return until I asked for the bill. The atmosphere, it was gorgeous and roomy however, I was not feeling the vibes. There was live music, Latin music I believe. They had a live singer which she was very good but it was just was too loud. We had to speak loud to one another. Maybe soften the music more so people can enjoy the atmosphere. Perhaps it was just a bad day-Service was terrible, from the host to the bartender who never spoke to us as we sat at the bar to the initial contact with our server. Also ordered roti Singapore mee fun Chinese veggies mamak goreng eggs rolls and fish. Again none of the dishes were authentic. Roti was nice. 2 stars only because of the friendly service.

I have been going to Mamak for about four years. I live an hour away, and the most they’ve ever gotten wrong is;they forgot to put the extra egg on my rice. I was super fine with this because I just scrambled one at home.. Today I went to treat myself for Mother’s Day. I’ve lived in an hour away from them for quite some time, but I still patronize them. I asked for extra oyster sauce because they told me they used it and they added extra oil ,about 1 cup, from the looks of it. When I got home, my grocery bags were soaked in the oil. My car seat was soaked in the oil. The box that the food came in was so oil soaked, I was mortified! I have never received food ,this bad from this place .I’m braggadocious about how wonderful this place is. While I was making my order I had a friend on the line and I was telling her this is the only place that made decent fried In all of Central Florida. Not anymore Needless to say, I probably won’t ever be back. Instead of relaxing on Mother’s Day weekend, I need to go have my car detailed because it smells like oil and fish. I’m so disappointed and I refuse to let this blunder ruin my Mother’s Day weekend. Please train the cook.

Started off great with cucumber water. But the Food lacked flavor. Was not impressed the staff at 8pm has started stacking up the chairs and tables. So noisy. There were only 6 tables occupied and it was so loud. We were given the wrong check and no one came to collect it so we could get our check. I’ve included a video so the sound can be heard for yourself. Not going back. Not even worth a second chance.

My first tapa had a hair and something crunchy in it (wasn’t supposed to be there) and I let it slide. I continued to eat and found 2 more long hairs in the lettuce wraps. The pan fried potstickers were definitely fried some time ago as all our dishes came out of the kitchen 2 minutes after ordering. The stickers and lettuce wrap mixture were definitely cooked a few hours ago and then microwaved and slapped onto a plate. Potstickers are supposed to have a little bite and color (from being pan fried) to them and these had none. I would not eat here again.
