The dishes, while visually promising, have one problem: the flavor. Sometimes, you wonder if the kitchen has an exclusive contract with a cardboard factory, because some bites have more texture than taste. It's not that the food is terrible, but it definitely doesn't live up to the prices. Each bite leaves you with the feeling that you paid more for the air conditioning than for the ingredients. That said, the experience does have its high points. The place is spotless, the atmosphere comfortable, and the waitress could make you feel at home even if she served you an empty plate. It's an ideal restaurant if you're looking for friendly service and a cool atmosphere... as long as you don't arrive with high culinary expectations. In short, Maxi is the perfect place to enjoy excellent weather and top-notch service. Everything was terrible. It was 9:20 when my dad ordered memelas, empanadas, etc. They told us it would take 35 minutes, we waited for over an hour and it didn't arrive (it was an order). About ten minutes passed while we were going crazy thinking about it, and then they told us there was no more service. The whole thing was awful, terrible service. Don't go there.
