Chuy's Addison Reviews
Best Mexican food I've had in a long time. Thank you for the experience
The food is really good and excellent and great food service the waiter is great
Ivonne was a great bartender, food is Always good and don't forget the Creamy Jalapeno dip.
VERY reasonably priced. Stellar frozen margaritas and TexMex
If you're in the mood for some tasty Tex-Mex and a fun, throwback vibe, Chuy’s is a great pick. As soon as you walk in, the place grabs your attention with its bright, quirky décor—think Elvis photos, old hubcaps, and string lights everywhere. It’s laid-back and full of energy, setting the stage for a relaxed, upbeat meal.
Went in for dinner. Food was excellent. I ordered enchiladas. They were what I expected, and the tex mex sauce was very God on them. Chips and salsa were good, some of the best I have had. Portions were large, so we could bring some home for another meal. Service was great. Will definitely be back when we are in the area.
I order the chicken tortillas soap and OMG it was impeccable. Trust me you will not want to get a small portion definitely get the large. It also comes with fresh home made tortillas and a big bag of tortillas chips!!!! Best meal to have when you’re not feeling well. It was perfect!
First time coming here and overall a great experience. Our server Marco gave exceptional customer service. He was very efficient and bringing us our order in a timely manner and he checked on our table throughout the night and made sure we were taken care of. The food was delicious, it is a clean establishment with beautiful decor inside and a great time for the whole family for sure! 10/10 recommend!
I've been to chuy's all over texas and this is hands down the absolute best one I've been to. Usually the plate is hot but the food has already cooled enough to eat. Not here was piping hot. Couldn't stop eating food to even try to drink my texas martini which was excellent. I asked for green chile chicken enchiladas with fajita beef. Great change and done without any problems. I didn't get a picture cause it was gone before I could. 🤩 Great service expect the hostess sat me at the very back of the dining room. This was not ideal because I walk with a crutch and a cane. Justin F was excellent, attentive but not obnoxious. Will absolute come back.
Manager Johnny! We ordered online, had a terrible experience with DoorDash. Manager Johnny delivered our food himself!! Going above & beyond!!
It's consistent, (relatively) quick, and inexpensive. They've got good prices and HH deals for what it is. Is the food amazing? No. Will you find better mexican food around the area? Yes. But it's O'le reliable with the Jalapeño Ranch and doesn't break the bank. When nobody knows what they want to eat, Chuy's is an easy sell that makes everyone happy.
About 15 years ago, I visited Chuy’s In Plano and tried a CoronaRita. It was love at first sip. The salty sour amazingness of corona with sweet, frozen margarita? Perfect. But I didn’t realize when I moved to Addison Circle two years ago, that I would be five minutes away from not only that delicious beverage, but an amazing group of servers and bartenders and managers who would draw me into their establishment with their friendliness and fun atmosphere. The food is good, especially weird dishes like the green chile fried chicken and chick-a chick-a boom boom enchiladas. The reason I keep going back is the friendly service and camaraderie. Because I normally dine alone, I normally sit at the bar or in the bar area, and Emily is a rock star! So fun and friendly and makes a great drink. Also on hand are Kiera and Ray, always good for conversation, and the manager, Amber, has a great laugh. Before Covid, most of the locations had a nacho car. No, that was not a misspelling. They actually had nacho fixings in the cut-off trunk of a car, lol. Well, that’s not quite back, but during happy hour at the Addison location, you can make yourself free nachos. They also have great happy hour prices on margaritas and what not. It is an inexpensive way to decompress after a crazy day at work. If it sounds like I am fanboying a little bit, I am. In an old black-and-white movie, Jimmy Stewart said the line, “No one brings anything small to a bar.” A bar, a restaurant, any excuse to get out is time to get away from yourself and a laugh with others. That’s what I found at Chuy’s. Check them out in Addison! Especially Saturday through Tuesday in the evenings. Emily’s shift. Enjoy all of the chips and ranch salsa you can eat. And ask for a margarita with a Corona. You cannot go wrong!
I love this location. It’s conveniently located right across from the movie theater! Me and my mom went here after watching a movie. Every one was so sweet and our waitress was very attentive! The food is always delicious! I ordered their mixed fajitas. We split it because it’s enough for 2. Their portions are huge! We enjoyed their jalapeño avocado dip most of all! They had a specialty drink, it was like a lavender margarita! Loved it!!
Every time I visit the Addison location I’m greeted with nothing but smiles and a sweet hostess. The free “Nacho Bar” they offer during the week is such a great way to enjoy a little bit with a friend, coworker or even by yourself. The drinks are always fantastic thanks to some of bartenders Jada, Angel, & Bree. My favorite thing to order are the “Panchos” they make em right almost every time !! Chuys is definitely one of my favorite Tex-Mex restaurants and Addison is by far my favorite location! Thank You for the amazing shirt Amber!
It's our go to.. when I don't feel like cooking. It's 5 minutes from my house. I love it.
Always love a good Chuy’s visit. Favorites are all of the drinks, queso, jalapeño ranch dip and tortilla soup!!
Our waiter Alex was awesome!! He made sure we had everything we need.
Dropped in with a party of 12 on Friday evening to celebrate a graduation. Our server Janessa did a top notch job getting drinks out fast, orders right and served hot and generally taking care of our group. She was professional and friendly and helped us get in and out in time for another commitment we had afterward. Her service along with food and drinks that are consistently good and an atmosphere we can count on to be lively and festive made for another quality experience at Chuys! Thank You!
First time ever eating chuys I seriously had the worst day ever at work today and I went with coworkers to have lunch and Tia had over heard our conversation she went absolutely above and beyond and brought me dessert 🍮 and cheered me up. I want to thank her for her sweet gesture!! The food was delicious I couldn’t even finish the burrito 🌯
Great food, cute atmosphere, and kid friendly. They give push pops at the end of the meal, which kept them busy and allowed the adults to talk for just a few more minutes.
am really picky about the Mexican food because the flavors must be really balanced to make enjoy the real taste of the Mexican food. people in this place doing great job because the food really tasty and everything is fresh and perfect, the atmosphere nice and the service is great, the prices reasonable also. will go back again for sure
The food was delicious. The service was great. The music was awesome despite it not really matching the restaurant style, but i really liked it!
I had to go here for lunch while in Dallas since the ones near me have closed. Food was great love the super thin chips.
I went to Chuy's for the first time for me at the Addison location. A friend called and said let's go to Chuy's and enjoy happy hour while sitting outside on their patio. I loved it. I enjoyed their fabulous mango margaritas. Also, inside they have a nice set up with help your self salsa, chips, refried beans, queso and taco beef. It was all so scrumptious. We'll definitely be back again. Wait staff was above and beyond outstanding!
This is probably the best Chuys location in the DFW area due to its size, which means you generally don’t have to wait for a table. We have been to this location almost 10 times over the past year and have had all excellent experiences. If you haven’t had chuys before it is definitely recommended. They made their tortilla fresh and they have a some veggies options if you are vegetarian. We love their sauces, especially their creamy jalapeño sauce. Their ranchero sauce, along with their pico, are my favorites. They have a happy hour which features free queso con carne (it does have meat) but this is a favorite for anyone there just for the happy hour. So definitely check out this location, I would highly recommend it.
Amber is a great leader. It was awesome meeting her. I’ve been to all of these restaurants all throughout Dfw and none of them have ever greeted me and asked me how my experience was until Amber just did it tonight. Thank you so much. She was able to fix a problem that I was going to ignore that she was very kindand it is refreshing to know that she is here at this location. I would definitely be back for her.
Love this place, I don't usually like chain tex/mex but wanted to try it. Glad I did! Our waitress Evelynn was attentive, friendly, helpful, so personable and because of that and the food we'll be back. Had the enchiladas, Queso, and Evelynn suggested the jalapeno ranch and I loved it.
The food at this location is always great. They have a nice patio that is perfect for nice weather. Chuy’s makes good margaritas and the staff is always pleasant and helpful. The enchiladas and burritos are great, but my favorite dish is the ground beef ponchos. Panchos are over sized chips with generous beef or chicken, beans, cheese, pico, jalapeños and guacamole.
I had an excellent experience this morning at Chuy's. Anderson did an excellent job serving me and my family; he was always smiling and attentive to everything.
I ordered to go. My food was ready in the ETA and it was warm when I got to my destination. These two enchiladas were made with quality ingredient and this deluxe tomatilla sauce is amazing. It's like salsa Verde blended with sour cream. The to go order even came with big bag of chips and extra sauce on the side. $12 with tip, great lunch stop! Update, So it's been over a year since my first review. I ordered the same thing again. Nothing has changed. It was still great quality, ready upon arrival and 5 stars at the same price. It was I'm gonna order more often now that I'm back at the office.
Chips were great, queso was good. It was orange and maybe chili flavored as opposed to the white stuff you normally find. I had the beef fajitas and it was great. Came out sizzling and smelled wonderful. You can taste the marinade they use, and it's delicate but still flavorful. The vegetables were cooked well and sweet. My waiter was attentive and friendly.
We came for happy hour after packing all day. Was surprised to find they have a FREE NACHO bar during happy hour! We got so full from the nachos that we didn't even eat the salad we ordered. Jada was our bartender and she was so nice and attentive to us. I will definitely be back to see Jada (and the free nacho bar) Thanks Jada!!
Great food in a fun colorful atmosphere. I especially love their salsa!
Truly the best experience I’ve had at a restaurant ever. Our server, Jack, was by far the best server I’ve ever had. Very quick to bring ALL of our drinks & food. Super polite as well. His sense of urgency, by far the best I’ve seen. Going to request him from now on. If you want good service and want your tip to go to someone who works hard for it, ask for Jack.
We love coming to Chuys and sitting at the bar with Jada. Shes makes sure you have a great time. Her margaritas are delicious and her sense of hospitality is amazing. She let us know all the great Happy Hour Specials too which were fabulous... Nacho bar and great drink specials. We cant wait to come back.
Quite an interesting restaurant. I really like that you can crab some authentic food from a cars hood while having drinks. Cocktails was a bit too sweet but I guess that's part of being in Texas. Great job on the decor, and the server was really nice. Next time I'm in town I will make sure to come here again

I enjoy this Chuy's location. The pickup process is quick and easy. Pickup orders always packed well. They brought back the nacho bar happy hour, so yummy. Got a Mexican martini & nacho bar!

Chuy's is one of the restaurants you can always count on having a good meal at a reasonable price. I can eat my weight in their salsa fresca and always enjoy their tortilla soup. My friend had the beef enchiladas and enjoyed them immensely. The staff is always upbeat and well informed about their menu and the food is always served fresh and hot. Their chips are the best and so are the margs!
Food was great, however my large online order was not processed and no notice was given to me via phone call or text until I got to the restaurant. This made me very late to my lunch meeting. Their system does not alert via text if there is an issue, only email. I was driving over an hour and wasnt able to look at email. When I did get there, the rushed the order, however all of this could have been avoided with a call or text.
Tried this location when first opened had breakfast plate was not impressed. was disappointed not as good as location in oaklawn. But as we were driving by today decided to stop in for a try at lunch to go . we got The Elvis presley comb an I was glad we did.it was very good fresh an hot we also had a drink while waiting we will be back for another visit Also staff was wonderful 😀👍
It’s a chain restaurant and pretty basic but my team enjoyed themselves and they even gave us an extra special visit as they sang happy birthday to one of my AE’s. I treat chains like this as a consistent experience and figured texmex for our first night in town for training would workout and so it did. The food was ok but not anything to write home about. The queso was watery, drinks were decent, and food met the need.
The food was good and service was decent. It was empty when we went - but took a while to get our food and our server forgot part of our order. Overall, a good place and good food.
Chuy's Tex Mex delivered a solid experience. The drinks were spot on with great balance and flavor. Chips came out fresh and warm, and the dips had excellent taste. Service was smooth and the atmosphere felt lively. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the food overall, while good, didn’t stand out at the same level as the drinks and apps. Still, a place worth returning to.
Better Mexican food in Dallas at Texas. Try avoiding tortillas because it is too tempting to eat with spicy sauce they provide. To eat well here you need to be really hungry because of good size of portions they serve. A must try for someone who is adventurous about food and try Mexican food (tex-mex).
I’ve been to this location on two occasions with my mother and we both had an ok time. The customer service was great and the food came out in a timely manner. I always order the guacamole appetizer and frozen swirl margaritas. I’ve noticed the frozen margaritas tend to melt down quickly but the drink is still ok. The guacamole is always great but on my last visit it seemed to be a little less fresh. The fresh salsa and ranch jalapeño dip are good and I always get that to go! For food, I’ve ordered crispy shell beef tacos and on another occasion the enchiladas. I can say I didn’t like the sour cream based enchilada but the traditional red sauce was ok. They only offer refried beans (no charro) and rice with your meal. My mom ordered the taco salad on one occasion and enchiladas on the next. She did enjoy her food but had the same feelings about the sour cream sauce. Overall, it’s your typical Tex-Mex.
It's been a few years since I last stopped at Chuy's; the last location wasn't in Dallas either. We made lunch reservations, and when we arrived at the restaurant, we were quickly seated outside even though our full party wasn't present. Afterward, our waiter came by and gave us some chips + dip. We asked for some "spicy" salsa and he brought either a Green Chile or Hatch Green Chile Sauce that wasn't spicy at all. By the time the rest of the party had arrived, we were ready to order and get lunch. I was pretty hungry so I ordered Chicken Fajitas, which came with some accompaniments including some warm corn tortillas in an enclosed tray. The corn tortillas didn't seem like they were entirely corn, but a mix of corn and flour. The food came out within 15-20 minutes and I had enough to take a box home. The meal was tasty and filling. If you want Tex-Mex and a decently sized meal, I recommend stopping by here for lunch.
If you've been to a Chuy's before, you'll feel very comfortable when you walk in--it's structured like most others I've dined in and has the same vibrant colors throughout. I appreciated that, as I was in Dallas from out of town. Service here was great. Everything from being greeted, to seated, chipped and salased... service was 🌟. My server was attentive at all of the right times. I truly felt welcome and valued as a customer. My chicken fajita salad tasted good. The vegetables were fresh, the cheese was plentiful; but I was expecting the chicken to be cut differently. The large-ish chunks surprised me. That's not bad, as it still tasted good. But it's definitely not my preference. I know I won't order this again. The strawberry mojito is a very refreshing drink and very dangerous. I easy could have had 2 or 3 because they were so smooth and didn't seem alcoholic! I ordered a Tito's Cherry Limeade to take back to my hotel, and I can tell you--there was no doubt my body didn't know that delightful drink was full of alcohol!
This was my second time coming here, and unfortunately, both visits didn't satisfy my taste buds. The rice and beans were dry on both occasions, and the soft tacos were underwhelming--I honestly …
I love this place but I'm currently watching the hostess and some of the waiters eat chips out of the machine and double dipping out of the salsa that's served to the customers.

Super bummed and disappointed. Love Chuys usually. Fun atmosphere, good food and service. Yum! But today... sad face. We ordered delivery for 8 people which would be 2 fajita kits plus extra sauces and accoutrements. For $245, this barely feeds 8 people unless you just want an entire grocery bag of chips. 🤔 Not a lot of meat, only 8 tortillas in total for 8 people, chicken was gritty... ugh. Not happy. Not ordering for delivery again. Pic is one of the pans of meat... and the bag of chips.
I love the taste of Chuy’s, but recently I’ve noticed a significant decline in the quality of customer service and hospitality. I had a really bad experience with my server, and although I won't mention their name, I hope things improve. It feels terrible to be treated poorly, and no matter how good the food is, that negative experience can overshadow it.
Food was just okay. Not to impressed. Expensive and not really good enough for that expense Staff was good Cool atmosphere with the many portraits all over.
Atmosphere was way to noisy. My hubby could not hear what I was saying to him. I was across from him. Had a new waiter. That is why service is low. I had to go find him (where taking an order) to get what I requested. Food was good. We will probably go to a different Chuys. This one was way busy with noise from many children at different tables.

I give the food a C~. However, the waitress was very nice.\nWe ate lunch there. I will not go back.
Not what it used to be however still a solid place to eat that's inexpensive. Food was good and service great. drinks were delicious. No complaints.
food was good but service was a bit sketchy. Took a while to get attention when we needed things. Manager came to table to check on us. At least they tried.

Ordered pickup, and when I got home I saw that the order of flautas was missing both the guacamole and sour cream. That's a big part of a flautas order... Not sure how they forgot to put it in, but I did not have time to go back.
The enchilada had shredded cheese, very little and it wasn't melted at all. Worst I think I've ever had. Waiter was a bit toʻ friendly but good.
This was not my best experience at Chuy’s. My best friend and I went here for a little girls night dinner and were not pleased with the quality of the food. The art selection was a bit weird. The server was very sweet and attentive.
This place sucks. Our server hated us, it took them 25 minutes to fill our empty water cup, and we had probably a group of eight people. He then proceed to give us a trust message that was messed up I didn't have the proper items on it. Then he messed up all of our checks. And didn't even check on us once throughout the meal before or after the meal. This place sucks for service but food is fine. And the thing I actually like to use this is one of the worst locations I swear.
I have to say the service is getting worse every time I go. The first time I sat at the bar and sat over 20 minutes before getting a drink refil. I had to ask for a refill. Even though the bartende…

Pretty disappointed. Hadn’t visited a Chuys in awhile and decided to go there for dinner tonight. Everything was great until my meal came out, just to find 3 long pink hairs in my food. I mentioned something to my waitress about it and she proceeded to charge me for my food. I was not going to pay for food that hair in it, that I didn’t even eat.
I ordered curbside pickup for the first time at the Addison location. I waited ten minutes in the car after the time it was supposed to be ready. There were no other vehicles waiting. When we finally got the food it was barely lukewarm. Usually they give you a *full* bag of chips but they gave me a quarter of a bag. I purchased extra jalapeño dip for $2.50… which went unused because of the small amount of chips. The queso was extra runny and not warm. It was all gross. Huge waste of time and money! The West Plano location has always been great. Apparently it’s too much to ask to have fresh food at the Addison location.
We went for lunch today planning on having a few margs as well. The bartender, am ba (server on receipt), was terrible. We were sitting at the bar. We waited 5 minutes before she even acknowledged us then waited on a table first that has come in after us. Then I asked for sour cream, she forgot it but didn't hesitate to ring it in. When I asked her about it she acted like I was a nuisance. Not once did she ask us how everything was or if we needed another drink We definitely would have had a few more! She was not friendly to us at all. Almost to the point of ignoring us. She was too busy socializing with a friend that had come into the bar! The gentleman that took over for her was very friendly and apologetic for the service and we did not even say anything to him about her. The food was really good. But if this would have been our first time, we would not go back. But we have been there several times and most times are pleasant. No response to my review after 5 days shows me exactly how you feel about your customers
Food Rating: F The rice was soggy and the tortillas came cold to our table. Also it was very very expensive. Service Rating: F Had I not waved down the server they would not have refilled our drinks. I guess they are used to seeing people not enjoy their food because despite me only having two bites of my food, they didn't ask if I enjoyed it. I would have been far more likely to come back soon if they had offered to comp/discount my meal or even noticed at all. Atmosphere Rating: C Loud music to the point that everyone has to scream over it.
Hostess completely forgot about my family off 5 waiting for a table. Manager commented want me want me to kick people off their table and also five minutes is not a long time to waiting he commented super rude.My son hamburger was under cook waste time and money avoid coming here go to the one in Plano tx much better service.
Nice place but that is about it. Waited about one hour for our food and was not impressed at all. Waiter did not visit our table very often and didn't provide proper service. I love Queso, not theirs. Love cheese enchiladas but did not finish the one I was served. Rice and beans, one bit of each was sufficient to ruin my appetite. Tortilla soup was like water. I believe TV dinner for same items would have been better.
1st time to visit Chuys since ownership changed & the food was Terrible! Nothing like the past menu & quality of the food was Awful! The restaurant on 12/30/26 only had a small amount of customers, which was very strange, as Chuy's used to be packed all of the time. & the menu items were not at all the same & I was Shocked at the cold, unseasoned poor quality foods that were served to me & to my family. I WILL Never Again eat at this restaurant!
Had not experience Chuys prior. I cannot believe this is real food. I could not finish anything I ordered. The raw tomato salsa was disgusting. The chicken flautas were stuffed with the most off putting chicken filling. Drinks tasted dirty, proportions were off. Beans tasted like canned. Best part of the experience was the tortilla chips. Sorry I stopped by.

Addison's Chuy's: Tex-Mex, Margaritas, and That Famous Nacho Bar
Whenever that Tex-Mex craving hits in Addison, Chuy's often comes to mind for a reason. It’s a lively spot that consistently delivers on the core elements that make this cuisine so beloved. I've heard from folks all over that this particular Chuy's location really hits the mark, especially if you're after a reliable, flavorful meal. First things first, let’s talk about the food. The consensus is pretty clear: it’s always good. You can count on those warm chips hitting your table almost insta...
Chuy's Addison: Where Happy Hour Magic Meets Tex-Mex Flavor
You know, there are just some spots that become a reliable go-to when you're craving a certain vibe and flavor.
