Lefty's Lobster and Chowder House Addison Reviews
This is my new favorite spot! Y’all the food here is phenomenal. Each time I come back to this area, it’ll definitely be my go to. Atmosphere: Quaint and small Italy. Staff were great and attentive. Cute spot, but the bread and butter is the food! Food: 10/10 I told the waiter to slap the chef! The portions were worthy of the prices. Good selection of wines. Pefection is an understatement when it came to the lobster diavolo—I didn’t know what I was missing in my life and now I know. Great food—Must try this spot lobster lovers!
I was there at 4pm when they opened for dinner. It was not busy and the food came out hot and cooked correctly. I didn't wait long and the lobster was tender and sweet. The 2-lb whole lobster was more than enough and came with a baked potato and a vegetable.
We went to Lefty’s for Valentine’s Day, and once again it confirmed why this is our go-to seafood spot. They truly have the best fish in town. The red snapper sauté is cooked to perfection and comes with a baked potato and your choice of broccoli or corn. The cream-lemon sauce is absolutely incredible — rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. At $20, it’s an amazing value for the quality. I had the stuffed red snapper (around $23–$24), baked and served with a baked potato and broccoli. It was tender, flavorful, and just outstanding. We also shared the blue crab leg appetizer — a generous bowl with 20+ small crab legs in a delicious broth. At $22 it’s not cheap, but it’s 100% worth it. I had a glass of Frontier white wine from Chile ($9), which was good and paired nicely with the fish. We’ve tried other seafood places like Bonefish and others, but none come close. Lefty’s is consistently delicious, and we highly recommend it.
My dinning here is ALWAYS a good experience. The staff makes everyone feel like family, very welcoming, respectful and funny .. And the atmosphere is authentic and genuine.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My girlfriend and I came into Left’s Lobster House in Addison on New Year’s Eve looking forward to some great seafood, and thanks to Paco, the evening turned into something truly special. I had recently undergone wrist surgery, which made things like cracking a classic seafood bucket a bit challenging. Without hesitation, Paco went above and beyond — not only providing attentive, friendly service throughout the night, but personally helping crack the seafood with absolute professionalism and care. It was done seamlessly, respectfully, and with a level of attention to detail that made us feel genuinely looked after. Beyond that, Paco was exceptional in every way: our glasses were never empty, the service was perfectly timed, and his energy elevated the entire experience. He struck that rare balance of being attentive without ever being intrusive, and by the end of the night, our hearts were just as full as our plates. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, I cannot recommend Paco enough. He truly represents the pinnacle of what customer service should be, and Left’s Lobster House is lucky to have him. We’ll absolutely be back — and we’ll be asking for Paco.
This is my 4th time at Lefty’s! And I still enjoy it and want to come back for more! This time take my sister in law for celebrating her birthday and she loves the food here! Friendly and attentive staff. Foods were delicious and fresh! vibe of restaurant is an old school decor with a bunch of pictures memories on the pinkish wall which is all my pictures turned up to be more pink ! LOL but I love that 😊
We were at Lefty’s for a team dinner. The restaurant was pretty empty on a Wednesday evening. But the restaurant had nice look, with a good size bar, lots of tables with red white interior look. The menu had some delightful dishes in the menu. We started with some raw oysters, that had good taste. Then I got my entree of giant 20oz lobster tail. It was beautifully cooked, placed on top a lobster tail shell. The tail was cooked exceptionally well, moist soft, layered with butter. There were some baked potatoes and broccolis on the side with this dish. The service was good. Our tables were regularly cleaned after we finished. The dishes were served within a decent wait time. Overall we had a wonderful dinner time together here.
I’ve never felt more at home than when I come here. The team is incredible and like a family. The food is out of this world amazing, and the atmosphere suits any occasion. They’ve been part of my top 3 places to eat for the past 8 years and I never regret it. I drive from Waco just to eat here, (not as often as I would like, sadly), and it is worth every mile. For my birthday I request dinner here each year. I have been craving Lefty’s all week and I am planning a trip as of tonight, just to eat there! Thank you all for being so amazing.
I’m from New Orleans, this isn’t a Cajun or Creole kinda cuisine, it tastes more like authentic east coast seafood with a southern twist. I’ve learned to adapt to many types of cuisines and this one is for the books. Just go!!!🔥 Tried the lobster bisque, fried calamari, stuffed lobster with shrimp. My husband had the 2lb boiled lobster tail. Absolutely tasty -absolutely delightful!! Angel, our waiter delivered excellent service as well.
Cozy seafood restaurant with a big personality. The management and staff will make you feel like family. This place gets crowded for a reason. The bar is right inside the door with room for 8 or 10 seats. There is an additional 3 tables to the left side where you can sit while waiting on your table if the bar is full. Reservations are highly recommended. This restaurant is not large but your dining experience will be unforgettable. Dress is casual. We had a party of 6 (3 couples) for a birthday celebration and Lefty’s didn’t disappoint. Everyone’s food was spectacular. And the prices are more than fair. I had the Pistachio crusted trout with a vegetable and baked potato ($19.95) and the wife had the single Main lobster ($29.95) and both were first class. A glass of wine was $11 and bottle beer was $4.50. Our dinner for two plus we split the birthday couples meal with the other couple and it came to $144 before tip for dinner and drinks. Not bad at all. I will give this place 5 out of 5 for food quality, atmosphere, service and prices. I’m sure this place will impress you. Call ahead and make your reservations tonight!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting this seafood restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was outstanding; the staff was attentive, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, perfect for enjoying a relaxed and pleasant meal. It's a space where you can truly unwind and focus on savoring each dish. The food, without a doubt, is the highlight of this restaurant. We started with the clam chowder, and I must say it was simply phenomenal—creamy, well-seasoned, with a perfect balance of ingredients. The lobster was equally exquisite, fresh, and incredibly flavorful. To top it off, we tried the swordfish, cooked to perfection with a delicious taste that I still remember. If you're a seafood lover, this place is a must-visit. I will definitely be back!
The food is very delicious, lobster, steak, meringue key lime pie. The plates are full of food. At about 50-100 dollars a person it was great food and service. Definitely a place to go for special occasions. Nuty and Angel were great at asking how we were doing and keeping the drinks topped off. Would love to come back again.
We love Lefty's. I was told not to review it from my boyfriend because he wants it to remain our secret (he was a joking) but if you read the reviews, you'll see we are not the only ones who love Lefty's. Service is always great! Ate a 20 oz lobster that was perfectly cooked. Love the shrimp cocktail and the crab appetizer. Shared a nice bottle of wine. The place is cozy, a great place for a romantic evening! I should add that they have an amazing creme brulee and Irish coffee! We will be back!!!
Stopped in for an early 5pm dinner after a meeting in the area on a Saturday. The atmosphere of the place was cozy, beautifully decorated and I was seated right away by the friendly hostess. I ordered the soft shell crab and the scallops off their specials menu. The soft shell crab was served in a creamy Dijon sauce with capers and fried crispy. I was told it was from the Yucatan and was classified as "whale" size as it was quite large. Next was the scallops, which were again in a creamy sauce (jalapeño) not spicy at all, served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It would have been a really good dish had the scallops been nicely seared off however they were not and were a tad chewy though they weren't overcooked. I expected better for $36. Would however return to try other dishes !! Rose champagne by the glass was delicious.
Salmon was a little dry. Asparagus which was un upcharge bland. No mashed potatoes only baked potato. Got a house salad instead and another upcharge. Overall it was fair. Not a lot of selection in my opinion. Quiet atmosphere which is nice.
We were ssssso excited to find more of a “pure seafood” place. But, sadly, almost everything was mediocre to horrible. The lobster was quite tough and chewie, the bisque was flavorless, the Rita’s and Hurricane was just aweful. Won’t return.
Disappointing Experience at Lefty’s Lobster House (Addison) I was really looking forward to trying Lefty’s Lobster House, especially with all the positive ratings but the food was honestly a huge letdown. I ordered the lobster and pasta, and it was the worst I’ve ever had. There was no flavor, no seasoning, nothing. I was genuinely confused how a pesto dish could taste so bland. For a place known for seafood, I expected way better. Maybe I caught them on an off night, but based on this experience, it didn’t live up to the hype at all.
