I was visiting from Seattle and stopped by the Bottega Veneta boutique in Costa Mesa with my stepmom, dad, and two sisters, who all live in Orange County. We were having such a great experience with Peter, who was so kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I was about to purchase the new pickle small Andiamo bag, and my stepmom was ready to buy a bag as well. Peter made some amazing choices for her, and we were literally about to say yes to two bags! Then, out of nowhere, a sales guy named Isaac came to the front and started hovering over Peter, trying to interrupt while we were still being helped. It was so uncomfortable — I tried to avoid eye contact, but he kept trying to lock eyes with me. Peter, being the sweet and professional person he is, politely asked Isaac if he needed anything or wanted to help, clearly trying to keep things calm and avoid a scene. The entire situation felt so awkward and rude that it completely ruined the experience. I decided not to purchase anything and will just buy from my hometown boutique instead. Beware of Isaac — he seems to interrupt and try to take over other advisors sales. The whole vibe ended up feeling tense and unprofessional, which is really disappointing for such a high-end brand.
They offered store credit instead of a proper resolution for a damaged item. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
Had a credit from this store, when I went to go redeem it, they declared my balance to be $0. I know for sure 100% that I did not utilize this credit. Their system has changed therefore; unable to check if I used this credit, when and how. Funny, their corporate office is unable to verify too. I truly wonder how many customers got their credits ripped off. I have six Bottegas, this is my last for sure! 5 days later, they sent me a text stating that my credit has been reinstated. So shady!
Took one of my pairs of Fiandra loafers in for repair after they ripped at this store after 5 months of wear and was given a repair time of 2-4 weeks when they should have just given me a new pair. I wait the 2-4 weeks to only hear absolutely nothing from anyone. I finally call the store a month after ABSOLUTELY NOBODY has gotten back to me to hear that they are quoting a repair time of 3-6 months! They lied to me and told me they told me that at time of drop off which is a down right preposterous lie. Then after all that the lady has the guts to tell me I shouldn't be wearing my shoes as much I have. If I spend a $1000 on shoes I can wear them to scuba dive if I want. Absolutely ridiculous customer service from this place! DO NOT SHOP HERE!
Terrible customer service, their handbag looks cheap.I'd rather use a ziploc bag at least it's waterproof and it's better quality.I'm never coming back!
The Chinese clerk was very very rude, what an absolute waste of my time. DO NOT SHOP HERE
My wife and I were just browsing on a busy day at Bottega. My wife was pretty happily just walking around and checking out the new styles. A salesperson then followed her throughout the store (almost a full loop) before stopping my wife. The salesperson was pretty pushy, but my wife set healthy boundaries and said that she was really just looking, and did not need any sales assistance. The salesperson then told us to "wait there" while she got a "latest edition" bag from the back stock room. We considered, since we were already comfortable, but out of politeness, we stayed there. The salesperson then brought out the bag, with like 4 accessories, laid them out on a display case table, and insisted, with great persistence, that my wife try it on. After 4 clear verbal refusals, the saleslady looked visibly disturbed. She said "it's free to try on, you don't have to pay". This was obviously extremely disrespectful, and we decided to leave. She thought it was because I was hungry, but we left because we were disappointed in the financial profiling abilities of the salesperson, who clearly misjudged us and interpreted our disinterest as a personal attack at her ability to sell bags. We will not be returning to this store, not because we cannot afford the bags, but because we are just not interested. Also, she had pretty strong body odor, which did not help.
