We had a party of 10+ people and they were able to seat us right away. We ordered many dishes and once the food came, it kept rolling in. Service is very good and the food is really good too. We had lobster, fish, tofu, roast duck, chicken feet, several meat with veggie dishes, soup, and more. The parking lot to the side of the restaurant is limited considering how large this restaurant is. It can seat a lot.

♿️Chef’s Wok has a wheelchair accessible seating, entrance and toilet. For entrances, there are no steps to enter. Amazing dim sum, great family friendly restaurant. Definitely worth the wait. Siu Mai, Shrimp Dumplings, Peking Duck, broccoli were our table’s favorites.

My family dinner at Chef's Wok was yesterday evening. My brother and sister-in-law chose this restaurant for our Chinese New Year dinner. I lost count on how many courses were served. It must have been a 10 course meal. After dining at Agave, I was not sure if I had enough room to digest all that food. What a combo of meals - Mexican and Chinese - and this morning my stomach was a little queasy. Still, the food was great from both venues.

Super fresh Chinese cuisine! Fried rice was amazing, as was everything else we had. The menu has lots of choices so you're bound to find something to enjoy.

My family was there for a celebration of life/post-funeral gathering following my aunt's passing. We went there because it was one of her favorite spots! We did the typical banquet-style luncheon with several dishes. Everything we had was delicious, from the fried rice, honey-walnut shrimp, fish filet with veggies and goose feet! It sounds ridiculous, but it's somewhat of a delicacy. My Uncle Hall couldn't get enough so we sent him home with all those leftovers. They were busy and for obvious reasons ...their food is just straight good! Don't pass up on the chance to visit this spot!

This is my family's to go dim sum house in Alameda. The prices are right. The dim sum is rock solid. And the dumplings are huge and good. It is not fancy and most of the time, we really aren't into fancy. We just want it to be satisfying and it is. Service is good and typical for dim sum houses. Parking is easier than Oakland Chinatown and it is safer. It's a no Brainer for us.

I've been coming here a for a year or two and it's never failed to disappoint! There is a bit of a wait to get seated but the staff are quick and friendly, plus they are used to accommodating large parties of people. It is a bit expensive, but the food is absolutely delicious! My plus 2's and I ordered a lot of food; I recommend trying the House Special Siu Mai. They're really big and it tastes good as well! They also serve tea and complimentary spicy sauce. The only downsides are the staff used to be slightly rude (however this problem was fixed a few months back), it's very chatty and noisy, it's hard to find parking especially during rush hour or on weekends, and you might also have to wait. Generally, for a group of 3 people you have to wait around ten to 15 minutes during rush hour. However, despite these, I recommend going to this place! The food is really good and I can't wait to go back!

Their Chinese New Year special dishes are pricy & not worth it for me...

Went on a Tuesday at 1:30p and was greeted and sat immediately. The staff were welcoming, and service was very good. Lots of elderlies celebrating Lunar New Year and laughing up a good time. Ordered 6 dim sum items, and although it took some time to arrive, every dish arrived piping hot. The bean curd rolls were delicious, sesame balls were crunchy, and the dumplings were juicy, flavorable and sizable. Unfortunately, the pan fried turnip cake was a little soggy and the steamed dumplings (har gow and shrimp & spinach) stuck to the paper liner, causing the wrapper to tear and ingredients to fall out...not sure if they steamed them too long. They use thick style wrappers on their steamed dumplings should you have a preference; I prefer the thin style. Anyways, it's clear Chef Wok has a loyal following, and the prices are decent. As with most dim sum places, they do get busy on the weekends, so be prepared to stand in line or order ahead and pick up. All in all, if you have the craving, they will help with the fix!

We planned a get together with 35 people. More people showed up than expected. -40 Our contact had pre-negotiated a flat rate (tax & tip included) for a fixed menu. Everyone paid cash on the spot. Service was okay. Apparently they needed to swap out one item for another. The food was fresh and tasty. I tried things I'd never tried before like a black sesame roll I would have preferred a menu that includes some vegetables, soup and less balls/dumplings. I presume such things are available, they just weren't included for our event.

This is not a review but feedback, per se. The menu is not in English and the servers don’t care to slow down and clarify. Again, not criticism but just something you should know if you foolishly try to check out the spot on the corner…

First visit. The food was good, but the seating system was confusing and not well managed. We arrived early but waited much longer than expected while others were seated first. Some guests simply took seats on their own, and staff didn’t step in. (the number card was meaningless) The food itself was nice, but the overall experience was disappointing. Other restaurants in this group were much better.

Placed order for pick up and said will be ready in 20mins. Thats false! they have you waiting and keep telling you your order is not ready after 40 minutes waiting. Don’t recommend to order online.

Utterly unacceptable. Forty minutes on a Wednesday night and not even the simplest dish made it out of the kitchen. If a restaurant can’t handle a basic stir-fry in under an hour, what’s the point of the kitchen at all? The only thing this place got right was the attitude of the servers — everything else was a disgrace.

One star because the food is tasty, but ONLY one star because literally every time I order it's 20-30 minutes late. It doesn't matter if I order and schedule a delivery time or have it delivered ASAP. Maybe it's different if you order for dine-in, but every single time the restaurant prioritizes other people's orders and mine is delayed. I definitely do not recommend delivery, if they don't want to honor delivery times they shouldn't offer them. I won't be ordering from them again, too many missed chances.

Came here for dinner with my mom and boyfriend, and we brought some gift cards to pay for our meal. They told us since the gift cards were old and sold by the previous owner, they would not honor them. Even though this is illegal in California and we told them this, they refused. Food is just okay, ambience is lacking, go somewhere else where they follow the rules and honor gift cards. We won’t be back.
