Cool Bar Alameda Reviews
Great restaurant and whiskey bar. We had a group of 6 and really enjoyed it. Nicely decorated with a great vibe. The cocktails were 💯- recommend Writer’s Block and Children of the Corn! Extensive whiskey selection - Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Japanese and more. Service was a tad slow, but the servers were friendly. Food was good, portions are on the smaller side.
Excellent cocktail lounge with a wide selection of whiskey and bourbon. Reservations recommended and you can choose between bar, lounge, or dining area. We prefer lounge as they have leather couches.
They have plenty of good whiskey but their Pina Colada is the best I've had.
My first evening visiting Corpus Christi for the first time. A friend brought me here. Absolute gem! Atmosphere is amazing, the server was bubbly and checked in on us, ordered different starters my fav was the meatballs. The old fashioned could have been better considering this is a “Whiskey Library “ but I still think it’d be worth your visit 100%
Everything about this place was amazing. If you're into hidden gems with a speakeasy vibe, this is the place for you. From the moment we walked through the doors we felt right at home in this cozy space. The staff and owner(s) should be proud of the guest experience this establishment provides. So first off, thank you all - we had a fabulous evening! We ordered our standard classics: My husband had the Hemingway and I ordered the Boulevardier with Bullet. Both cocktails we beautifully crafted and perfect to the last drop. Our server Brooke was truly fantastic! She easily guided us through the menu, giving us dinner recs as well. We had a hankering all week for tiki drinks and she pointed us to a couple that we on the menu. No shocker, these did not disappoint and were perfectly balanced. My husband is hell-bent on recreating his drink at home because it was just that good! During our time here we were treated to a live singer and her accompanying pianist. When we first arrived we were one of just a handful of folks. However, after we got our first beverages the space started to fill up. With the Bar, Lounge chairs and Tables lining the wall being full of patron, the space still remained calm and relaxing. All in all, this place is must if you appreciate craft cocktails. Note: We went on a Tuesday evening and had reservations for 6 o'clock in the Lounge Seating. I always opt for reservations if available. it's honestly a win-win for everyone. I cannot speak for weekend, but Walk-ins were being accommodated on the night we went. Thank you all again!
What a gem this place is! We had so much fun spending an evening here. Everything is hand-crafted and all of the bartenders are artists. Each drink was amazing and the desserts were divine. We cant wait to go back and try more items from their fabulous menu.
We are from out of town and decided to give this place a try and wow this was the best experience I’ve ever had with a whiskey bar! Server was super sweet and knowledgeable. Let her decide my drinks and she delivered. Highly recommended coming here for a night out especially those who like to enjoy their drinks and try something unique.
Wonderful old time feel. Awesome bar with a nice selection of whiskey's. They, also, have a cocktail menu and other liquors. This is the first place since I left Wisconsin that could make a brandy old fashioned sweet - absolutely delicious. Their chocolate creme brulee was spectacular!
Had drinks and appetizers here. I enjoyed the ambience. The dark look library decor is epic. My husband enjoyed the different specialty whiskeys served neat. I tried a holiday cocktail called tipsy in a pear tree. The slider appetizer was large. The truffle fries were fresh and delicious. We will return.
Absolutely the coolest lounge in Corpus Christi! The atmosphere is relaxing and the service is welcoming and knowable. The amazing menu, vast selection of whiskey, and other beverages are second to none in the costal bend. Do yourself a favor and check it out! You won’t be disappointed.
Incredible place to sip fine whiskey and eat some delicious food. Great service, great vibe, and great tastes will be found. Check this place out!

Whiskey Library is an absolute vibe! From the moment you step inside, you’re wrapped in an ambiance that’s both sexy and sultry, setting the stage for an unforgettable night. The drink offerings? Pure artistry—creative, flavorful, and expertly crafted to delight every sip. The music selection is on point, seamlessly matching the rich aesthetics and adding to the intimate yet lively atmosphere. But the real star? The phenomenal staff, especially Alana, whose sparkling personality made the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re a whiskey connoisseur or just looking for a unique, elevated night out, this place is a must. Can’t wait to return!
Bree and Brook are honestly the best bartenders Corpus Christie has to offer not only as a service A1, but they provide a friendly environment, a business environment, and are always on top of their game. I come basically every day out of the week and I don’t regret one bit! hands-down, best food and cocktails in Corpus Christi
This is really the only real cocktail bar in Corpus Christi. I know this cause I can quiz the staff on wacky bartender stuff and they know what's up. All the nice restaurants with bars in town have no idea about cocktail culture no care to do drinks properly. Anyways if you want a cocktail bar experience in Corpus this is your only option.
This place was wonderful! Live music wasn't too loud, the food... the meatballs in cheese sauce ... theyre to die for.... youll want so much more. And the cheese sauce can be requested separately, its divine as a dipping sauce for fries! 🤤. My only co.plaint was that I requested more and the waitress (who was awesome) thought I wasn't being serious, so I only got 1 serving. Which was so very sad. I recommend this place for anyone who wants good drinks and meatballs and cheese ❣️
What a great little place in Corpus Christi, TX!! Margo took greatcare of us from the moment we walked in! I had 2 Woodford Old Fashioned’s, and my wife Pellegrino Sparkling water. We had 2 appetizers: Meatball Gorgonzola, and the cheese Fondu! We will be back! Great Ambience and good Bourbon selection!
One of the most enjoyable places I've been to in a long time for an adult beverage. The atmosphere was amazing. The wait staff was incredible. The bartenders were nothing but amazing.

Great food and great service from the men, but the woman with the braided ponytail wearing all black wiping glasses and randomly standing at the hostess desk couldn’t have been more rude. I accidentally broke one wine glass and I don’t appreciate being told in a snarky voice to call an Uber after two glasses of wine. Her attitude needs an adjustment to work in a bar. Offer to help nicely if you’re actually concerned but the judgement was unnecessary.
Food was pretty good, so were the cocktails. Server was really great. And the place had a really good design. Its what 1920s bar should have been. It was so dark in there though, it took time for our eye to adjust to be able to see, and no, I'm not old with vision problems. We had dinner and drinks. I liked it a lot and wouldn't mind returning. There is a $6 charge to pay with a card. That was super annoying, unfortunately I'm sure most people that notice will deduct that from the waiters tip. $6! Might as well pay thier taxes. If I did not go back, it would be because of that dirty, sneaking extra charge. Otherwise, great for date night, and again, the server was very knowledgeable and attentive as well as cool and casual.
Make sure you make a reservation! The atmosphere is awesome, the chairs are comfy, and the bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable. Drinks were lovely and delicious, but the food has a lot of room for growth. It’s cold in there too, so make sure you come prepared. I had my jacket, so I was comfortable.

Let me start off by saying this place is beautiful and has a speakeasy atmosphere. All staff encountered was friendly. Food was brought out quickly. Unfortunately the food was not what we expected. Only 4 dinner selections. You would think with only 4 selections to choose from each would be spectacular. All with small portions and overly salted. My $48 steak was so small about the size of a small tangerine. Meals were served with one side of potatoe medley. No bread & butter served. I will return for a drink and appetizer but not dinner.

My wife and I wanted to try this restaurant out for some time. Unfortunately, I think they had an off night as I've heard others talk very positively about the food and service. We decided to eat here for our 24th anniversary, which made things extra disappointing. The waitress was bubbly and enthusiastic in her interactions. For some reason she was pulled away midway through our meal. I had planned to order a bourbon but lost my will to order after I didn't see her for a while. Apparently, the bar tender was assigned to our table and came over when she saw me looking around. But the worst part of this experience was my steak dinner. I ordered this $42 steak as medium. What I received was a somewhat small and thin, crispy burnt (see pic) steak on the outside and medium to well done on the inside. The first few bites were well done and down right dry and hard to chew. The middle parts of the steak were better, but overall I was underwhelmed and disappointed. I swear this steak was probably reheated in some way, maybe a left over piece from Mothers Day service. Even the vegetables had a charred, recooked quality. My wife had the two small burger appetizer which was "good" by her description but not great. The appetizer consisted of three small pieces of bread, which were tasty but not filling in any way. The highlight of the meal was the french fries which were piping hot and crispy with excellent flavor and a very large portion - maybe some of the best fries we've ever had... The problem is that when you spend $175 (including tip), the fries should not be the highlight of the meal. Given the cost of this restaurant and sketchy quality/quantity of food for this meal, I'm not sure if I want to give it another chance.
