Corner Bakery Corpus Christi Reviews
Really lovely people and great customer service. The restaurant atmosphere was clean and very pleasant. I ordered the delicious tomato soup with a pretzel sandwich, and it was excellent.
I ordered the “Uptown turkey avocado“ sandwich. When it was first brought out to our table we both commented that it was a small sandwich. Just on its visual appearance, I was a bit disappointed because I thought that it would not be a filling sandwich. However, the sandwich was very flavorful and it actually was filling. I did not leave feeling like I was still hungry. My lunch mate ordered the “chicken carbonara“. She truly enjoyed that pasta dish. I tried a little bit of it, and the pasta was cooked correctly. This place is not too expensive, and the food (in my opinion) is worth the price. I definitely plan to revisit and try something else.
Came by for breakfast with the whole family. Cute place! Lots of heat choices. From breakfast plates and bowls, sandwhiches, and baked goods! Everything tasted great! Staff were so nice and friendly! Had nice reccomendations too! Seating areas and bathrooms were nice and clean too! Coffee was good, but seemed a little watery and not strong. It was ok for me, but my coffee loving mom and husband thought it was really watered down and didn't have much of taste. But to each their own.
Came for breakfast to the Corner Bakery Cafe for the first time and Masks and social distancing is a big deal to me and it was happening here, breakfast was amazingly delicious I had the power breakfast egg bowl with the banana fosters pancakes and my partner had the chicken sausage wrap with a mini maple pumpkin bunt cake. Good healthy food, yummy. Will definitely be back 👍🏻
Great little restaurant and bakery. Tried the Bacon Avacado Egg Bowl, Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold brew with a cinnamon roll while he had the Avacado and Spinach Power flat, a Hazelnut Cream hot coffee and Banana muffin. The food was great, customer service impeccable with a clean restaurant. Service was quick. When speaking with staff, I was informed they have one in San Antonio. Definitely going to visit.
I love Corner Bakery so much. They don’t have them where I live, so when I go somewhere that has one, I always make sure to visit! The Anaheim scramble (I think that’s what it’s called?) and the buttermilk pancakes are my absolute favorites. I can stuff myself to oblivion on these things! This particular location was about average, in my estimation. Quite crowded on weekend mornings, although that’s to be expected. The cleanliness was only so so, but I suppose that can be chalked up to how busy the restaurant was at the time I was there. These stores dip their finger into the service realm without really being “full-service”. Someone delivers your food to your table and asks if you need anything else immediately, but other than that, they are not really servers, per se. The drinks station at this particular location seems to be undersized for the seating configuration. Perhaps this is standardized amongst locations (which I have never taken notice of before), but I particularly felt the mismatch at this one. There really isn’t enough space for more than one or two people to be getting drinks at the same time, which seems like a substantial undershoot, considering that this location surely can host at least 100+ people at a time. Other than that, I have no complaints. Solid and consistent and tasty food. That’s what I’m looking for!
I gave them a 3 on food, because it's a cafe and the coffee is terrible. The food is good, the service is good, the environment is relaxing and a good place for a small meeting if you dont want to be in the office.
We love coming here for the feel good vibes and the chill demeanor this place has. Staff is always so friendly and their sandwiches and soups are literally always on point. They have a self serve soda pop area that I also like. Nothing bad to say about this place except for the parking lot that's hard to get in and out of throughout the day.
Our food wasn't very good. The bread tasted stale, and my chicken pesto sandwich barely had any pesto on it - at first I thought they had brought out the wrong order, but then I noticed a small smear of the pesto on the bottom slice of bread. The potato soup was pretty good, though, and my children enjoyed their cookies. We probably won't be back.
Didn’t really experience the atmosphere because it was a take out order. And also my first time. I hate to say it because I had high expectations but it wasn’t all that great. Regular small piece of turkey sandwich which fell apart and a cup of tomato soup. The soup and croutons were good. But not at all worth $20. Maybe 8-10 dollars due to prices being high nowadays.
Wow. What happened? They were so good before. Now the bread is stale. And this last order gave me a half sandiwch bu charged a full. Was one of the better places, but have been disappointed too often recently. Such a shame.
We ordered customized berry salads…all of our edits were ignored. The lettuce in mine looked old. Also, I was going to get a cookie and they were out of almost anything (which fine), but there were also flies flying inside the cookie cabinet. I didn’t get those. Overall disappointed.
I normally look over this place, not my vibe, but my wife wanted to try it so we stopped. I ordered the pick 2 with rustic Italian and tomato basil soup. This is a classic example of the food will not look like the picture on the menu. I ordered the rustic Italian because it looked like it had a layer of peppers and tomato on it and when I received my food and saw my sandwich I couldn't help but laugh. I wasn't going to say anything but the manager came and asked us how our food was, so I shared with him my thoughts AND HE ARGUED WITH ME... Trying to justify why they only put 2 and a half peices of tomato and 2 peppers. I'm not trying to get a refund or a free meal, but I think for the price the cooks should put a little more effort into the presentation.... And don't have a layer of peppers and tomato in your menu photo if that's not what it comes with....
I was granted a 25$ gift card I used it multiple times there to get coffee. And there coffee is never fresh and hot . I asked two different times for fresh coffee they proceeded to put it in a microwave to warm up. Very upsetting. That's like going to Starbucks ordering raw food from them, cold roasted coffee is gross
