D&N Hot Wings Alameda Reviews
Absolutely amazing chicken wings and tenders. It’s rare to find gluten free crispy chicken, let alone THIS GOOD! We are from the UK and visited here twice on our trip it was so good! The owner is very serious and educated about gluten free diets so I felt very safe eating here too.
These just might be the best wings in San Francisco! They were certainly the best thing we had to eat on our trip. We ordered wings (The garlic rebel, the hot mama & lemon pepper), Cauliflower wings, and fries. I’m not usually a fan of jumbo wings, but if all jumbo wings were cooked like this, I would only order jumbo wings! They were perfectly crispy, and the meat was tender. And tossed! I usually get my sauce on the side, because all the crispiness seems to disappear once it comes in contact with the sauce, but not these wings. Everything was delicious, the fries were perfect, hot, fresh, and good salt. The cauliflower wings are in a league all their own. Don’t get me started on the ranch, incredible! And dairy free! The service is top tier! Daniel is a consummate professional - and his passion for the food really shows! I will be back!
I love this place — I think I had their wings a dozen times before I learned that they are also gluten free and dairy free, as are all the sauces. And now that I know, I still wouldn’t be able to tell. The chicken is so juicy, just the right about of crispy, and best of all the owner is a total sweetie. He has so much pride for his food, and I love his reasons for making this place. Best restaurant in the neighborhood!
Last second meal decision and was not disappointed! Super fresh wings the lemon pepper was 🔥 and the other garlic one was very tasty too. Surprised at their ranch with dill not of fan of dill but I like it! Service was super friendly too. I'll definitely be back if I'm craving wings! Gotta try all the other sauces!
Went here for the first time today and honestly probably the best wings in SF. Really great flavors on the sauces and though it is a bit pricey, super high quality. Will definitely return and try more of the flavors and other items on the menu. Mango Habanero was probably my favorite
Fantastic! Nice size wings. I thought I could eat a dozen.. they were big and I could only eat five. Looking forward to the rest for dinner!! Great customer service!!!
Man this place is good! The food is great, the staff is friendly, the prices are fine, and if you can get their lunch special then you are doing things right. We usually get wings and fries, and neither disappoint. I would suggest some fries with seasoning since the plain variant is a little bland, but they supplement any order of wings without issue. I'm told the Cauliflower Bites are a great vegetarian alternative, though I've never had them myself. The wings have plenty of meat on them, and it is rare that you get a broken wing, though it does happen. The wings themselves taste great and they seem to be opening up to a few more dry rubs as well. All good things. There are no desserts yet on the menu that I know of, but let's hope soon, they would be a welcome addition. This place is relatively new but has been around for about a year. It's a great wing place and it's in a very nice location. Their sauces are a little watery for my taste, but it has plenty of flavor for supporting a wing order. You
Finally my husband found real spicy hot wings, he could eat the most spicy sauce, with Carolina Reaper. Quality of products are great, the owner very friendly, side sauce is tasty… best wings! We are going to leave San Francisco with a memory of this place. Love it.
First of all, my lady & I were walking from the location we were staying just exploring the area real quick to find food & smelled something super sweet so we assumed it was one of the bakeries/coffee shops prepping for the morning maybe or something we didn’t see/know about… we walked up to D&N & realized it was the WING SPOT smelling like that??!?!!?! Had to walk in & check it out 100% & as we were looking at the menu and reading the awesome array of wing flavors, Daniel who we found out was the owner & creator of the place, greeted us at the register very politely! Let us try a few sauces and had good conversation. The sweet smell over half a block away was a fresh batch of homemade BBQ sauce just taking over the streets!!!! Nonetheless we decided to go with 6 BBQ wings and cauliflower bites to give the place a try. Being from Kansas City I’m HUGE on BBQ sauce & wings/meats… and his created BBQ sauce was absolutely fire!! Super good for a Pennsylvanian out in San Francisco, lol. Twice fried HUGE wings in rice flour.. all gluten & dairy free.. were cooked to a perfection!!! I’m legitimately surprised and super happy we smelled that sweet aroma because that place is a 10/10!!!! We’ll get another round before we leave town this weekend, that’s guaranteed!!!
Great flavor , crispy wings, I think the owner was who we dealt with and he went out of his way to be accommodating, I got the thundering buffalo and it was awesome , she got the death wish and the flavor was awesome but too spicy for me, she loved it! Definitely worth stopping by!
D&N Hot Wings in San Francisco offers crispy, flavorful gluten- and dairy-free wings with bold sauces that pack a punch. A casual spot with standout buffalo wings and a welcoming vibe, it’s a must-try for spice lovers.
This place is fire! Chicken is so juicy and never frozen. They also make their sauces from scratch, they run spicy so I order mild ones. The place is super clean and service is great. They have TVs for monday/thursday night football and $5 beer on weekdays right now. They also have lunch specials. I love the wings and chicken sandwich.

The location was easy to access, the store was very clean, and the owner was super friendly. I had the food to-go and carried it around for a while, so it wasn’t really in photo-ready condition by the time I ate it—but the garlic chicken wings were absolutely delicious!

Love the wings here and I am delightedly surprise by how big the wings are. I can eat up to a dozen wings without issue but here, I am full just after half a dozen. The flavors are amazing, but some of my friends were struggling with the heat. Tips for people who can't eat spicy food: pick mild sauce and be conservative because if you are a spicy person like me, you will enjoy the amazing flavor bomb in your mouth. Also, the cauliflower bites are great. Nicely seasoned with great texture. Would love to be back to try for different flavors.
I'll tell ya, when people say "I know a wing place" it usually falls flat. So when my cousin said he had a place, as always, I set my expectations low because 9/10 times it usually doesn't live up. Well here, it definitely exceeded my expectations. One of the best wings I ever had. Rare in this area to find a place that cooks wings right. This place is a chef's kiss.
I don’t do take out but went there on a DoorDash deal. Chatted with the owner, nice guy, really cares about making consistent food. I got the lemon zepper wings, very flavourful and big wings. Gave me one extra too
owner was fantastic, went for the first time and love the quality and the service. You can tell there’s a lot of pride and care put into the recipes. Definitely thrilled to support a local shop that is excellent at what they do. The ghost pepper flavours are insane haha. I loved the lemon pepper dry rub !!! great batter to actual chicken ratio … you are actually getting good protein macros :)

Came here with a craving for wings and have had a good number of the wing spots in sf so decided to check this one out. Got the 18 piece split between two people and tried the following: - Tropical Heat (mango habernero - best seller and definitely our favorite) - The Lemon Zinger (lemon pepper) - The Garlic Rebel (honey garlic) - Side of salt and vinegar fries (really well seasoned) Thought everything was actually really good and would definitely come back again portions were big and flavors popped!

We went here on a wing day. Me and 3 friends traveling around the city for 12 hours one day eating wings at so many different places. Honestly when we drove by I wanted to skip it. The building looks unremarkable. Like chipotle or similar should be there. We got in and the person who greeted us happened to be the owner. He walked us through the menu and while the may have some super spicy wings, he is for sure the spiciest thing in that store. Such a funny person with so much passion for wings. I was so upset we had more stops because all I wanted after the first bit was to try everything else on the menu. Incredible experience and we will be back!
D&N Hot Wings is definitely worth checking out if you’re a wing lover. This was my first time stopping in, and I was pleasantly surprised right away. These are not those tiny wings with barely any meat, you actually get a solid, meaty wing here, which immediately sets this place apart. The food itself was good. The wings were flavorful, well-cooked, and filling, and the portion size felt fair for what you’re paying. There’s a nice variety of flavors to choose from, so whether you like classic, spicy, or something a little different, there’s plenty to explore. The vibe of the place is cool and casual, making it an easy spot to hang out, grab food, and enjoy a drink. Speaking of drinks, they also have a good drink selection, which pairs nicely with the wings and adds to the overall experience. Service, however, was a bit off. The guy helping us, who seemed like he may have been the owner or manager, came across as pretty unwelcoming at first. No real personality, not very engaging, and it felt a little awkward given that he’s the front-facing interaction for the business. To his credit, he did warm up as things went on, but first impressions matter. Being a bit more lively and welcoming could make a big impact on the guest experience, especially for first-time customers. That said, the food ultimately carries this place. Between the generous wings, variety of flavors, and solid drink options, I’d still recommend stopping in and checking it out.
I ordered pickup from here on 11/18/2025. When I call the order in, I asked for 6 piece lemon pepper wet (I'm from the south), and he didn't quite understand. So when I get there he said you must be from the south, I said yup. He said he was googling and found out what lemon pepper wet was. He say it inspired him to maybe try his own style with it. I was not able to get them wet, but they were very good, and generous size compared to the wings back home. Seasoned well, and tender, I was very satisfied. Fries were also good, and plentiful. If I'm ever back in San Francisco, this will be on spot I revisit. I highly recommend y'all check them out.

Since I do not normally get good wings as I live outside the U.S. So, when I am back in the U.S. a make a point to try and eat wings. This place had good ratings, so I thought I’d give it a try one weekday afternoon after the normal lunch rush. It’s a no frills space, with a modern industrial interior, the type of place one would expect for a wing joint in downtown SF. The wings are not bad, but I was expecting them to be better. I will note, and maybe it’s just because I am usually eating chicken outside of the U.S., but the wings are big – which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but they seem unnaturally large. Also, as with most things in San Francisco, California, and the U.S. in general, it’s pretty expensive – for wings, a beer, and a Topo Chico I paid something like $40. Summary: OK wings, nothing memorable in my opinion, and there is another chicken place not far from here that I would choose to go to before I came back to D&N.

Had the chicken tenders and salt and vinegar fries. The fries were the truth absolutely worth it but the tenders? I'm not even sure if it was chicken tbh. The bearing was called on in this really unappetizing way and was likely seasoned with hopes and dreams. If you like fries they do those well. They really should transition to a fry type spot. A lil member cheese chili and bacon would send them over but they should never make chicken again
