Mosley's Cafe Alameda Reviews
I found a new treasure in Alameda! Great coffee, a delicious croissant bacon/egg sandwich, and a view. The service was excellent and I went alone, but ended up meeting a new friend over breakfast. Great little spot!
Great outdoor cafe with a view. This is such a great place to sit outside and really enjoy a view of the Bay. The coffee is great and the scones are delicious. My only complaint is that it's a bit pricey, but I guess you pay for the great view! It's a very small cafe, so not for big groups. I've been several times and have never had a hard time finding a table. It can be windy and cold, or quite hot as the outdoor seating area is only partly shaded. There's seating at small tables or on high stools along a bar overlooking the water.
Very amazing water view this place and this place have good drinks like coffee or tea or soda drinks, they also have snacks
Cute spot with sweeping estuary views and an impressive case of home baked goodies. It’s amusing that their cups display the words ‘espresso coffee’ because all their coffee drinks are cold brew, not espresso. Still good though, just different. They also serve some alcohol plus toasts and sandwiches. A great place to watch the boats sail by.
One of the cutest Cafe’s in Alameda. The food was amazing and the view is so entertaining. We had breakfast turkey and ham with eggs croissant. It was really delicious. Definitely will come back again. My husband is in the Coast Guard. You can see the boats come in from their deployments. It was the best to watch and grab a bite to eat 🥐
This is certainly a hidden gem. Best scone I’ve ever had. I wish I took a better pictures. Everything was delicious. I will be back.
It's hard to beat this Bayside seating for breakfast. It's relaxing and just what we needed.
What a nice café! We loved having breakfast there. The food is very good and all freshly made and served by the cook himself. Also the service was very friendly. We would come back any time, if we would live here. We can only highly recommend the café.
Lovely place!!! The views, the food and the coffee all great.
I got their tuna melt and was a little unsure about the white cheddar they chose to pair w/ it, but that was definitely the right choice. The food was good, but I'd definitely go back there just for the customer service. Everyone was super friendly and I got some apple slices w/ my sandwich which was a pleasant surprise. They offered a cup for my bottled soda, if I wanted ice, got a bottle opener for me, a treat for my dog; it was all very accommodating. The view was absolutely beautiful, the wonderful smell of cinnamon coming from the kitchen, AND they're dog friendly. Now, if you do decide to bring your dog, you have to watch out because there are pigeons around. They sat nearby basically watching me eat and flocked around my table when I got up.
Had breakfast once and ordered a charcuterie box the second time. Breakfast at the cafe was very nice as the location on the water is beautiful. The charcuterie box was very tasty!
A fun place to have a chai and a bit in the early afternoon on a beautiful day. They are next to the Grand Street Public Boat Launching Facility and inside the Grand Marina. Julie and Scott are there to make your hot bevy, and tasty dish to enjoy at one of their small but cute outdoor tables.
Delightful little gem right on the water in Alameda. The menu is limited but very well executed. All of the food is obviously prepared with love and care.

Grilled tuna melt is great! Soft inside, just like it’s melting. And it’s crunchy outside! Location is great: quiet and cozy with beautiful view!
I came to this place years ago. I'm glad to see it's still around. They open after I get into work and they close before I get out of work so I'm never able to go . Their coffee is literally the best coffee in the Bay Area. We came in today after paddling in the harbor for a couple hours. We were happy to find shaded seats, alcohol, coffee and food. All right on the waterfront. There were a few mishaps with my order. Just one of those days. But the person in charge completely made up for it. They remade my food and were super nice about it. It was so good! I was exhausted and there was nothing better than crunching into that cucumber tomato bagel!! I bought some coffee on the way out. The price has jumped in the last few years I tell you... It's a little outside my price range but I could smell it in the car all the way home and I was so excited. I'm saving it for two when my family is coming to visit because the coffee is that special. Definitely enjoy a little serene bites to eat on the waterfront.
Booked the hot tub boat for 8:30 on a Sunday which was waaay out of business hours at Mosley's. But they went above and beyond taking our charcuterie order and leaving it with the hot tub boat staff. The board was nicely made out of fresh and clearly high quality ingredients. Definitely a 5 start experience.
This is an incredibly pretty café. It’s right by the water and the views are absolutely stunning and breathtaking. Their menu selection is also relatively healthy and modern. The surrounding area is very pretty, new and safe.
We love love love this coffee shop! My sister lives 5 min away and whenever I visit her from AZ we always go here! View is incredible, coffee and pastries great and stellar customer service!

Excellent waterside Cafe with excellent service and friendly staff. 😀 Their Banana muffins are yummy!
I went on a Saturday late morning after an article in EBX mentioned them as a best of the east Bay dog friendly spots (with my dog). The counter is peculiarly situated and if a few parties are there it becomes sardine like quickly. Seating is extremely limited and groups larger than two are out of luck unless the rail overlooking the water is empty. My cold brew was okay, a bit strong but eventually drinkable. The quessdilla was just cheeses in flour tortilla with sour cream no pico or salsa or seasoning at all. It was as if the cook actively hates food and eating. By the time I was heading out seating was gone and I hear several complaints about waiting a half hour and more for simple orders. I'm sure the article increased traffic but it seems like they woulda thought of that. Great views.

Edited after Scott's reply to my original review. Thank you so much Scott. This is certainly outstanding customer service and greatly appreciated. 🙂 I hope to meet you in person when I go back! Maybe it was a one time bad experience but for me a stark contrast from past experiences before the change of ownership of this cafe. I ordered an avocado toast on GF bread (the bread was not great but decent) +egg. First the gentleman working in the kitchen brought the avocado toast without the egg, he actually noticed that he had forgotten the egg as he was handing me the plate, mentioned it and turned around. He returned with an omelette when I was expecting a simple poached egg. He said "we don't do poached eggs". So I ask: would it possible to have a sunny side up egg instead of an omelette (I just don't particularly like omelettes' texture? He brought me back two sunny side eggs which was appreciated. I paid $28.92. At that price, I think that it is reasonable to expect regular silverware (I had to go fetch some and could only find mismatched plastic ones), the food served on a plate and not in a basket with paper that dissolved into the food while eating. I also ordered a mocha which was not great (I have to admit that I have become extremely picky as David and Will at Neptune's Alameda, where I am a regular, are great baristas and use quality coffee and healthy oat milk). To be also noted, my 12 ounces thermos was barely half filled. To top the experience the bldg. was being renovated (this was last September) and scaffolding was all over, challenging the already very limited seating and partially blocking the nice views.
