Alameda Island Brewery is a great place to hang out with friends or socialize. They have a big dining area with lots of space and one big screen TV to watch the game. The dining area was nice and open due to all the big open windows. They also have a large selection of draft beers to choose from which I like. They brew their own beer as well which I have yet to try. They have some flights they can offer. I did try a sampler of a unique beer that was 5% called 'Sarap' meaning good in Tagalog. It was on draft. It's a hint of calamansi in it. It was actually good! I will have to get that again next time. The guy at the counter was cool and friendly. Looks like they share the space with the Fikscue Craft BBQ next door as long as you buy their beers. Which we did! Prices are decent as well. Not a bad place to hang out, and just drink and chill. I know I will be back here again!

This place has a great selection of beers. They also have about 10 rotational beers on draft. There's also a restaurant next door you can get food from. The staff was very helpful in helping me pick out a flight of beers. It was very delicious and I will definitely come back here again

Great beer and awesome to have Monkey King for food right next door. I got the imperial IPA and the Hazy IPA, both were delicious! I’ll definitely be back here again.

Nice place to hangout and taste good craft beers. Friendly staff who knows their products very well. For a new brewery, this place sure has a bright future with their Pale Ales.

Had 2 dark beers and one pale ale. Across the spot I ordered cheese sticks and fries. All where very good and pleasant!!

Roughly 15 beers on tap in a nice atmosphere. While they don't have food, you can bring in any food you'd like, including delivery. Dogs are also welcome. I really enjoyed their Hazy IPA. I'm only in Oakland for work but if I lived here, this place would be a regular spot of mine. Hazy IPA pictured in the review.

Delicious, well-crafted beer, very friendly staff, and nice space. $5/glass is nice, too. (Update August 2019: prices are $6.50 to $7.00, the "normal" range.)

This microbrewery has delicious craft beer with Alameda-themed names and occasionally a few non-alcoholic options like root beer and kombucha on tap. Their motto is “something for everyone” in the hopes that they can make beer more accessible. I’d say they’ve definitely made it more accessible to parents! The kid-friendly space has big tables inside, an arcade game, clean bathrooms, and lots of seats outside. The outdoor space is shared with the neighboring restaurant, Monkey King at the Brewery, which is an island-favorite that sells delicious wings, fries, kimchi rice, and shares space with Alameda Scoop, a local ice cream shop. Customers at all three establishments can eat on the patio or even inside the brewery. So, get yourself a pint, and your kids a cone of ice cream, and call it a day!

Great beer, free hot dogs on Super Bowl Sunday, awesome friendly bartenders, and great vibes!

Super friendly staff with a real hard lean into the videogame / geek culture. Star Wars stuff everywhere, and an awesome arcade machine with hundreds of old school arcade games to select from. Oh and the beer is on point too!

Great local spot with friendly staff, good beers (I'm an IPA guy and find all of their offerings very solid, but their non IPA beers are also quite good). Not too loud inside and good table space. Can get outside food from a number of locations easily. Generally a great place to unwind and hang out.

Had a great time at Alameda Brewing! The beer selection was solid — everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. Prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Came with a few friends and it was the perfect spot to hang out, catch up, and enjoy some good brews. Shout out to our server. Definitely coming back!

They hosted my engagement party. I could not recommend them enough. They went out of their way to make sure that my family was having a great time celebrating our milestone event. I could not recommend them enough for private events. They're beer is pretty great too lol

The beers across the board here are top notch and the service one ups that! Patrick is awesome! He provided great service and had the perfect amount of sociability. I can't recommend this place enough! One of the brewers in the back even came out and told me a new beer that they were working on and I can't wait to come back and try it!

Don’t get to Alameda very often, but was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled across Alameda Brewing. Nice, spacious indoor seating area. The brewery stresses community and employs a nautical theme throughout the brewery. Restrooms were clean and the staff helpful.

Solid local brewery. Beautiful brewery in Alameda, good vibes. The beer isn't very impressive, but it's good enough

Fun place to stop for a beer. The staff is friendly and knowledgable about the beer. Be sure to take their advice. The scotch ale and the paddle pilsner are great. The indoor seating in simple and the outdoor seating is a shared space between three different restaurants. They also sell growler fills. I'd definitely recommend stopping stopping by.

What a cool and chilled out place this is! We were in Alameda and before heading back to Oakland decided to stop by so hubby could get his IPA. Place is quite big and spacious with plenty of seating options for small and large groups. And may i sat it was quite happening on a Tuesday night - woohoo! Staff is friendly and place is clean and neat Prices are fantastic at about 5-6$ for beers and they also hook you up with finger food from the place nextdoor serving fries, chicken wings, noodles etc. They also had plenty of boardgames so we ended up playing scrabble and having a great time. Would love to be back when around the neighborhood!

A great beer selection and a broad number of IPAs. It was recommended that I try the Island Haze, a NEIPA, and the recommendation was on point. Place is comfortable with a good vibe and it's easy to hang out here with a big group of people, with food just across the way. You should stop by if you're in Alameda.

A solid selection of beers on tap. They offer a good balance of stronger beers (IPAs) and milder beers (pilsners, pale ales). There's a nice eatery next to the brewery that delivers food to your seat at the brewery. Of course, growlers and crowlers filled. Will return.

I was on my second date and we decided to have some beers and went to Alameda Brewing. And we were undecided for sure, that is very true. I wanted to do a hard cider, which they didn't serve. So I ended up having a hard soda, which was actually yummy, a little bit on the sweet side. But my date was truly undecided. And so we tried quite a few of the beers, maybe five or even six. I read all these wonderful reviews about the beers and the customer service but I feel that we did not receive that service on our visit. The man that was helping us was just not very nice. He was kind of stoic and cold. And he didn't really say anything in particular but at the end we chose a flight, and he did say "well, you tried almost everything on the menu" and I didn't appreciate that. The comment was snarky and the bottom line is that I felt like he just did not want to deal with us and get us out of the way and it showed. He like did not make us feel welcome. I was also not a fan of the beers, I felt that they were not carbonated enough. I would have maybe given another chance to this brewery if the customer service would have been warmer and welcoming. This not the only brewery in Alameda. No food served. CC accepted.
