Restaurante Hermelinda Alameda Reviews
Eat here before it gets crowded! New Guatemalan spot in the Mission, I never knew I needex Guatemalan food till now. Each plate comes with rice, salad, and tortillas w/ a drink and the plates come pretty full (and only $12)! Honestly a great deal and the food is amazing.
I think I ordered the costilla de res salsa verde (think being the operative word because I just pointed at something that looked good) and it was SO FIRE 🔥🔥🔥 The plate came with fresh tortillas, black beans, rice, and a side veggie slaw thing—all for $14! With the chile relleno and agua fresca, my meal costed me $24 total. I felt like I was committing robbery. Despite the workers not speaking English, they were all super kind and attempted to explain my options. Next time, I’m definitely getting the soup. Or the other short rib!
Great food, nice people, great price, generous portions. Check it

Homemade cheap and good
Great tamales!
👍👍
Food was tasty and plentiful. Definitely on the cheaper side but that doesn't affect the quality. Very friendly staff.
Even though the restaurant is in the "hood" and parking is hard to find, the restaurant is great. The food was amazing and authentic, and the staff were super friendly and polite.
I love the restaurant! I just wished the food was warm and not cold.
Fresh cooked food
Delicious chile relleno and fried plantain. Chicken tamale masa was soggy, but tasty.

Food was amazing. This is the most authentic Guatemalan food I have had in a while! You must try the tamales. They are DELICIOUS! Service was wonderful. The guy that served us the meals was very sweet and attentive.
Delicious and affordable!! 10/10 recommend. We got their Sopa De Mariscos and Caldo De Res, they came with rice, and tortillas hechas a mano, we will be buying again.
Amazing food! Pays of to have Guatemalan friends who know where the good spots are!

Food was cold. They had to taste the soup to see if it was still good... how old was it that you don't know if it's still good? Noodles were overcooked and still cold. Wouldn't come back.
