La Parada Alange Reviews
We live nearby and love this place. The elote is amazing and the margs are great. We’ve dined in and gotten take out. The staff are friendly, the food is hot and the drinks do their job!
A wonderful place to get some of the best food in Indianapolis. The carnitas are great. The tongue tacos are always delicious. There is always such great energy inside when visiting. Alot of care and love is evident in the preparation of the food.
The food was sizzling hot. Great prices healthy from God. Earth's table type stuff. The mojito was good too. It was so good. I drank everybody else's. Nothing like day drinking with a bunch of light weights.
Really liked La Parada. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and the portions were generous. The vibe inside is fun and lively but still relaxed enough to hang out. Service was quick and friendly, and everything came out hot and well-seasoned. Definitely a spot I’d come back to with friends or for a casual date.
My coworkers have been talking about how good this place is so I had to try them. I was very pleased with the atmosphere of the place, the food was absolutely delicious and the customer service was amazing. I will definitely return again to try some more things on the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant for some real Mexican food. I have been looking for a good torta and I finally found a place that has them.
We came from out of town on our way to another restaurant but came across to this place and decided to give it a try. First time here good service, nice atmosphere, nice art work, hostess and waitress always checking if we were doing ok. The plates OMG were huge and VERY flavourful. It's a for sure thing we will come here again for our next visit.

Delicious food! Everyone in my party loved what they ordered. Try the shrimp chimichanga!\n\nThe service was prompt, attentive, but not overwhelming.\n\nIt's a great, lively atmosphere.
Very nice ambiance! Service was excellent! Food was delicious with many options and great price!! Most authentic mexican dishes I've had since moving to Indy from the west coast!
Food, service, atmosphere all spectacular will be coming back again in the future. We had tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, and esquite

I'm "that guy," who orders the same a la cart menu item every time he goes to a place like "El Rodeo." I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food. I find something I like at a restaurant, and o…
Good traditional carne asada steak taco with onions and cilantro. Plenty of meat and wasn't fatty or gristley. Green salsa was good for me. Red salsa set my lips on 🔥 lol I think one green sauce came with the price of the taco. I had one carne asada taco, 2 green sauces, and one red sauce for $7.15. Unfortunately, I didn't check my bag well and missed out on the lime wrapped in foil on its own before I devoured the whole taco.
Had some good Mexican food. The portion size was good and the tacos tasted good as well. Since it was my birthday they did even come there and sang a song with a small piece of cake.
The mixed seafood ceviche tostada is my absolute favorite. Their rice is really good as well. I appreciate their selection of waters, getting either jamaica when I can or cucumber. I just tried their horchata and highly recommend it, it's like a lighter version of a holiday drink and refreshingly creamy without being thick. I haven't tried anything I haven't liked and it's an enjoyable time.
The chips and salsa were great! The drinks are a bit pricey but decent. The menu is overwhelming. My food was good but my friend did not like her enchiladas.
We stopped by La Parada in Indianapolis for lunch, and from the outside, I'll admit it looked a little... let's say "quiet." There wasn't a soul in sight, and we were starting to wonder if we had made the right choice. But stepping inside, it felt like we were transported into a cozy, vibrant Mexican spot with the typical charm you'd expect. On the server's recommendation, I ordered a Michelada. Let's just say, it was spicy and packed a punch ! For the main course, we got chicken fajitas and veggie fajitas. The sizzle alone made it worth it, and the flavors did not disappoint. And, of course, we couldn't resist ordering flan for dessert. Sweet, creamy, and the perfect way to finish off the meal. Service was also prompt and warm. All in all, despite the initial "is this place open?" vibe from the outside, it ended up being a delicious and memorable meal. Definitely a hidden gem if you're ever in Indy!
The food is great! Good customer service. Nice atmosphere. Things I didn’t like: 1. They had a guy playing music and he came to our table and he asked us if we want him to sing for us and we said go ahead and he told us that he works for tips. We told him that we don’t have cash so he left to sing to other tables. That was kind of weird and off. 2. They have 4 tables in the middle side by side where you sit near strangers which ones again was off for me. I go out to have dinner with my husband and I don’t want to sit at a table with 7 to 10 other people I don’t know. 3. The chicken in my taco was way too salty.
Reminds me of the Jalisco style Mexican I used to get in Corpus Christi. Very casual "working man diner" atmosphere. Service was good. Food is a good value. I will return here

If you are looking for good service then I would not recommend coming here. The food was good but nothing to rave about. After being served our food we were only visited by waitress once. After that we didn't get asked if we needed a drink refill or if we needed anything else. The only thing I would go back for is their micheladas.
Ordered delivery from here last night. We ordered bean and cheese dip, a chicken soup and a beef menudo soup. We reached out to the delivery service about needing a refund because we weren’t satisfied with the food. The chicken soup had one single chicken leg?? I order chicken soup almost every time I get mexican food and I have never had any with a single chicken leg, nor with the bone in it. The beef menudo was only tripe. When we inquired about it the delivery service Chow ensured us that La Parada made their soup with beef, not only tripe. Chow then told us to reach out directly to the restaurant for a refund. When we called and explained the situation the manager said “you must not be familiar with the dishes.” Not a single resolution was offered. We would’ve been happy if they offered to remake the food or replace it with something else. We eat at La Parada often and more times than not we are left disappointed. A waste of $50.00.
I ordered Birria nachos and a tres leches cake to go - I didn't wait very long for my order. I did not care for my nachos, it was a huge disappointment.
I'm a long time customer and for the past 2 years been ordering either the regular or large burrito. What started happening over the past 3-4 months is unacceptable. The portion size got so much smaller it is hard to even describe. I wish I was weighing my food but I'm almost sure nowadays the portions are 20-30% smaller. Food is very good, but the size change is just unacceptable...
I don't live in Indianapolis, but I thought it was a great authentic Mexican food. As soon as I sat down and I saw the menu, I knew it was not authentic. I only ordered 3 steak tacos, and I didn't like them. My expectations were high since I'm from Chicago, where tacos are the best. This is more like texmex food.

The lady was weird the man said she didn’t know how to speak English, but knew shrimp, steak in English. But didn’t know how to understand I wanted my drink 🍹 sweeter. The The Margaret Rita, drink was sour taste like pickle juice with hot sauce, and a whole bunch of seasonings together. I didn’t really taste any damn liquor. What was supposed to be my free night of work and from stress it turned into more stress, and the lady had a weird attitude and still nonchalant but then when it came to my man, she had a big smile and was happy to take my man order but had an attitude to take mine. 😒 she SUCKS!
I liked coming here, close to my work. Today we had a pretty big group come in (10 folks). One of my coworkers and I ordered the same number combo, and when the food arrived, our plates were switched. I took a couple bites, noticed, told the waiter what happened and asked if I could have it replaced with what I wanted, but to go. It happens with a group this large, no worries. When my bill came, they charged me for both meals. :( I went ahead and paid my bill in full, tipped, and our group was leaving for our afternoon meeting. I told management about the situation and while they were sweet to want to fix it, I didn't have any time and had to leave. I don't think I will be back, and it makes me so sad because they have good empanadas :(
I waited 30 minutes for my food and it was To Go !! I order steak and chicken fajitas and tres leches cake. I got home and realized I received steak and shrimp fajitas. I do not eat shrimp!! It also cost more than the one I wanted.. they also gave me corn tortillas instead of flour. The cake was good but cost 6.99 for 1 piece and I paid 29.41 for a meal that I didn’t order. I tried to call the number online and on the receipt and it took me to a FULL mailbox.. I am so upset from beginning to the end. Will not be returning.
