Being from the west coast of Canada and visiting New York for my 40th birthday, I decided to walk around Brooklyn and luckily stumbled upon Bierwax! I stopped by early afternoon and can definitely say I was not disappointed. Tone the bartender was amazing. The drinks were great and the conversation even better. He was playing some smooth Jazz and couldn't have asked for a better vibe. Highly recommended, amazing vinyl collection, good people, and the beer selection/cocktails are on point...made my trip to New York memorable!

we rented the bar out for our wedding welcome drinks and had an absolute blast. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We brought some sandwiches and platters in and the bartenders set up a table for us to lay it all out. The drinks were delicious and everybody had a wonderful time. Lots of bars overcharge but Bierwax was super cordial and fair in their pricing. My one bit of advice is to let the bartenders choose what vinyl to play as they chose some great hits to keep our party bopping along! BIERWAX FOREVER!!!!!

Was recommended from a friend to stop in while waiting for a friend to get done with a concert at Barclays Center. This place did not disappoint, great beer, great atmosphere, great staff. Arthur was phenomenal, you can’t go wrong stopping in here.

As the rise of craft beer spots are still coming up I can honestly say this is the FIRST place that I actually felt comfortable because there was a mix of diversity which I don’t see much of in other places and made me feel as we weren’t alone for once! This place is awesome from the vinyls they were playing to the beer/cider selection that they have on tap as well as having cans available. They also have art up for sale and few artist that I know of as well. Nothing but good vibes! Can’t wait to visit again.

Really a fan of Bierwax and all the cool options on tap. Chris, the owner is very kind and hospitable while being a fountain of knowledge about all local craft breweries and in house beer options—which they have a lot of! I come here to spend many hours editing on my laptop and have always felt at home. I’ve also met some DJ’s here and have frequently been exposed to new music. Vinyl is indeed the plural of vinyl. Shine on you bright gem.

My favorite beer place in Brooklyn! The 🍻 is very tasty, and the vibe is very Brooklyn 😃! They also have great DJ! I love the outdoor seating in the back, which has a bunch of grape wines. 🍇 The only down side is that the beer is a little bit pricey, but you can save some credit card fee if pay with 💵

EM Rollins

Sista DJ played a tribute to D'Angelo for 2hrs, then just nutz on 90s R&B, using nothing but vinyl!! She was so dope! The backsplash of the bar are hundreds of actual vinyl records and Star Wars memorabilia. Just really really cool vibe. Met my good childhood friend and his road dog and we had great laughs and great drinks. Will be back!!

A very comfortable place to relax and have a few Beers or drinks with friends. The atmosphere is easy going with great music selection played is moderate tones so your not speaking over the music. The yard is great for groups to gather, talk. The bartenders Antonio and Ari are super attentive. It’s become a favorite spot to relax.

Stumbled across this place walking down Vanderbilt. The ambience is inviting and the drinks and beer menu are well crafted, though I’m unsure the pricing matches the amount of drink. On my first visit, I had a great experience and conversation with the bartender. He was welcoming and spoke with me like I was a regular. I’ve been back to the bar recently and unfortunately haven’t had a great time — was served by a different bartender with a bad attitude (and very long beard). He seemed pretty full of himself and downright rude. I’ll be looking for the other bartender when I return.

I’m not usually one to write reviews, but I’m new to the area and have been to BierWax a few times. The space and crowd are cool, especially on weekends, but the big hairy dude with the bad attitude always kills the vibe. I was planning to go this weekend, walked by and saw he was working, and decided not to. If that’s the level of service they stand by, I’ll pass.
