Kuku Albans Reviews
Just recently discovered this place and I LOVE it. The food is sooo good, very nicely portioned (you can have leftovers to go) and the service is very kind. Highly recommend, if you enjoy Korean food ☺️
This place serves up some really good fried chicken wings. I got a Jr Bucket of 6 drumsticks and 6 wings with a 50/50 mix of Garlic and Spicy Garlic flavor which came with a side of white radishes (which are great to cut the spiciness of the Spicy Garlic pieces which have a good kick). Delivery came relatively quickly and I was very happy with the delicious meal. Looking forward to eating in their restaurant.
Had the sweet and spicy wings, tteokbokki with cheese, and kimchi bacon crinkle fries. Went on a Sunday night in October. The wings and fries are really good. Total was $60 for two people. The tteokbokki was ok. KUKU specializes in fried chicken place so... Can’t wait to come back and try rhe japchae, chicken tenders, and seafood pajeon.
I had such a great experience at Kuku Korean. The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. I ordered the jjampong and it was so good and comforting. The broth had so much depth and the ingredients were fresh and balanced. Everything about the meal made me want to come back and try more from their menu. If you are looking for authentic, flavorful Korean food, Kuku Korean is definitely worth it.
Came 5/19/25 with guests from wales and they loved it. They had never seen a chivken tender so large. Also had beef bulgogi with purple rice. Small little side dishes are served complimentary to go with the meal. They have renovated the entire inside and it looks sleek. As always wonderful service and great food. Got rid of happy hour a long time ago. Soju is overpriced now at $14 so I skipped it. Meal was loved by all Ok it’s closer to 4.5 only because side options don’t really include veggies other than kimchi, fries, rice, Cole slaw. The chicken here is awesome and I have tried tenders, wings, and drums. They offer soju, beer and sodas. The staff is professional and always smiles. The beef bulgogi I had last week was yummy second day heated up. Came over from the city tonight just for chicken and it was so worth it!
Felt like eating fried chicken and decided to try Kuku. Ordered the half garlic and half garlic spicy JR bucket with 6 wings and 6 drumsticks and it was delicious. Also got the Crinkle Cut Fries Supreme with kimchi bacon which was ok but not great. The Yuzu and Guava lemonades were very good. The restaurant was very clean and I liked that it also has mouthwash in the bathroom.
I work nearby at Jasper HP and I had lunch here with my team. The food is great! It's delicious, well seasoned, and hits the spot if you're looking for satisfying Korean comfort food! Most dishes are very easy to share, as well. Highly recommend!! Also love that they offer tea or water when you arrive (: very friendly service
Wow! Food is freaking delicious! I had loaded/supreme waffle fries with kimchi and garlic wings. Kimchi is super tasty and wings were well seasoned and crunchy. I did take out and even after some time the food tasted fresh. Waitress was very nice and helpful. Order was ready in 10min. Cant wait to came back :)
I love coming here for my break and getting the signature wings. It’s so delicious. I’m a woman who leaves all the meat in the bones and the suck the skin off these bad boys. I love it here. These are the best wings I’ve ever had… juicy, fat, succulent, flavorful chicken wings. I will say I did try the curry shrimp rice and I wasn’t impressed as it was lacking flavor. Overall amazing top tier place.
There are a ton of Korean Fried Chicken places popping up, so I didn’t expect much from this place. I went into Kuku Chicken without any expectations only to be pleasantly surprised. Most, if not all, of the items on Kuku Chicken are good even on Korean standards. This is a chicken place, and even their tteokboki, japchae, and katsu are good. I personally think their tenders are where its at. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Their chicken sandwiches can be improved however - all the ingredients of the sandwich don’t quite work well together. I recommend this place. Hopefully they can keep up the quality even after they get popular!
The flavor is excellent. I just hope they can improve their sanitation rating from a B to an A. I’d gladly return once the sanitation grade improves
We visited Kuku on a Friday night without a reservation and were lucky to get a table just before the dinner rush. Arriving around 6 PM is a good idea. The menu is broad, with Korean staples like bulgogi and glass noodles, as well as wings, tenders, and loaded fries. We ordered the bulgogi, glass noodles, and soju, which left us full but still feeling light. The space is small and brightly lit, making it a great spot for a casual meal or quick pickup.
Came here with a friend. A cute little dining space. Menu was quite broad. Ordered half and half spicy/not spicy garlic chicken wing and LA BBQ. A little on the pricy side, but the food was pretty good. Unfortunately I found everything too sweet - even the fermented rice drink (makgulli) tasted like rice Sprite. I don't like taste of alcohol so it helped to disguise some of that and I enjoyed the first few sips, but when I found that even the food was sweet, I kind of found it annoying. The side dishes were a mixture of Korean and non-Korean dishes (such as side dish of maccaroni pasta). Normal quality. Also had the option of purple rice which I liked. Server was prompt and polite. The bathroom was clean (it's small and hiding in the corner). A pleasant dining place if you want to hang out.
I came here for dinner with friends and thought that it was pretty solid. The interior of the restaurant is bright, casual, and natural. Service was pretty solid and always attentive with our tea. We got their half and half chicken as well as their bibimbap combo with pork galbi to share. Everything was delicious. The banchan was FILLED and probably my favorite part of the meal (not to say the others were bad, but the banchan here was great quality and so refreshing with the food). The half and half chicken was pretty solid but I thought needed just a bit more seasoning as they both kinda tasted the same. The bibimbap was also pretty good, and I liked the combo set (but I did think the galbi was a bit dry). Nonetheless, not a bad spot for casual Korean food in LIC!
Very beautiful place. The waitress was very nice and I had a call button for whenever I needed. I was expecting a long wait from the other reviews, but that wasn't the case for me. Now on to the food. I got the sweet and spicy chi-bap and had very high hopes for it. Unfortunately it didn't meet them. The chicken wasn't very crispy and the sauce kinda overpowered everything else.
The worst Korean take out spot in NY. Very disappointing. You order a combo meal worth 43 dollars and they don’t even include banchan. Portion small. The soon dubu soup was mediocre. Maybe it’s because we ordered at 930pm? But if you cannot produce good food because it’s late, then do not take the order. Used to come for the chicken and seeing and eating this order really made me upset. I will not be back.
