Noisette Pastry Shop Albans Reviews
I come here most Saturday and Sunday mornings. They have the most lovely array of pastries. The folks behind the counter are always sweet and kind. They have delicious sandwiches as well. The baguettes are amazing. Just made French toast out of a loaf this morning!
I had the rotating sandwich of the day. Delicious pastrami, cabbage arugula and stone ground mustard. The service is friendly. The cold brew is delicious and the atmosphere is great. Will return and try their sweet collection.
HIGHLY recommend! I'm a college student who was wandering downtown in search of a nice place to grab a snack and read my book. There are lots of coffee shop-type places in Eugene, but as far as actual bakeries go, Noisette is as good as anywhere I've had. Their baguette is outstanding, perfectly crispy on the outside and deliciously soft on the inside. Not only that, but their food tastes fresh and homemade (I had the soup of the day, a smoked salmon chowder that was fantastic). The service is friendly, and prices are reasonable. I will definitely be going there more often!
A massive thank you to the wonderful people at Noisette Pastry Kitchen! I ordered some special cupcakes for delivery and the team was amazing in responding to our needs and were incredibly customer focused with their delivery. On top of the amazing customer service, the cupcakes were (by all accounts) delicious!
If you haven't tried this pastry kitchen put it on your bucket list ,we tried both kinds of quiche great flavor combos.the pumpkin tea cake was so moist and the spices were perfection.the panitiere was so buttery and flaky and went perfectly with the chai tea..
Gourmet all hand made pastries by real classically trained bakers, balancing a lot of very complicated flavors here. Almost all of their pastries are beyond reprise.. however, I was scorned once by over salting of the cream cheese bed in their amann. So. Delicious. Eating here is definitely an expression of self love :) Changed to 5 stars, this was a one off
Staff was soooo helpful, and food was soooo good, did not try coffee but I’m sure it’s good, they also have salads and some food.
A very inviting place to come sip teas or coffees while enjoying a variety of freshly baked pastries ,healthy and tasty sandwhiches to unique quiche .Everything is made from excellent quality products you can taste the difference!!! Prices are equal to the quality of food. Ya pay for what you get. Indoor outdoor seating a bright sunny place with a corner view of Broadway .Pay for street parking.wheelchair accessible.Causal atmosphere with a twist.
I love them so much. Never had anything bad from noisette, in fact they have some of my favorite desserts ever. The coconut creme tarts and the kouing amann are bliss. I bring home a loaf of sourdough every other week. Best coffee around as well. Thank you for being a moment on sunshine during the pandemic for me, noisette! You're such an asset to the community!
Noisette is such a great trendy little spot to grab a bite and coffee with a friend. I recently had a meeting with a client here and it allowed enough space and privacy yet a great atmosphere. I also loved that they have gluten-free options and that they serve products made from Camas Mill Flour - supporting local.
Simplement le meilleur! The pastries are simply exceptional. The molasses cookie and lemon tart are two of our favorites. We cannot recommend Noisette enough; it is out of the country good and an out of the body experience. ENJOY! 🥮🥐🧁🍰🎂🍥
I’m visiting from Tacoma. The ham and gouda croissant was perfect, crispy on the outside, buttery on the inside and reasonably priced. my latte was delicious and the cashier who helped me was friendly and pleasant.
The food and drinks are fantastic but the worker Bailey is so unfathomably rude! She is clearly miserable with herself and decides to take that out on paying customers. Clearly cannot handle customer service.
What great customer service. I ordered a cake for my husband's birthday and it was beautiful and amazing. My husband loved it. It was my first time there. I will be back♥️
My mom & I had never been, & just went for a snack. When I tell you I took a bite of that spinach thing & it nearly cured my depression for a sec, I’m not joking 😂👍🏼 wow. Everything was so good. 10/10
This place serves excellent quality cakes and coffee. Tiramisu was a proper one, like what I used to eat in Italy. Fantastic chocolate mouse cake and carrot cake sandwich. Not overpoweringly sweet, but perfect. This place was great. Would highly recommend!
Love their Rye bread- it’s the real deal. Seeded, football shaped and with a crunchy crust and dense, flavorful soft inside.
I love everything about this place! They are one of Eugene's finest eateries. My family and I have been going here for years. Noisette is an incredible asset to the community!
Where doni start. The lemon meringue tart. Probably the beat I've ever had. So moist and full of flavor. My daughter got the flour less brownie. She ate the whe thing and didn't say a word on how hood it was til it was gone. We will be back. I love the rustic look Inside. Service was great. Great prices. Everything is fresh.
A great little bakery/cafe! Their ham croissant was nice and flaky, and their Chai latte had a nice kick. Had a lively atmosphere, and is a good place to stop by for coffee with a friend. Would go to again, and plan to!
We are here visiting from PHX and I wandered into this coffee/pastry establishment. It had the pear scone and a delicious London Fog. Everything looked fabulous and everyone was so nice. I highly recommend!
This bakery has very creative food and the quality is better than anywhere in town. I would highly, highly recommend checking this place out if you have any appreciation for wholesome and real food. From the tarts to sandwiches, there is not a single item in the store I would not love to eat. I can't rave enough about Noisette, I consider Eugene lucky to have such a great place right downtown. 10/10 any day of the week.
Oh my goodness!! Just the cutest little shop with the sweetest little pastries ever! I will definitely be back. All kinds of different sweets to choose from, and I'm a huge sweets fan, I tried a few things, the french macaroons are fantastic, the tarts are stunning and scrumptious. I can't imagine anything here being anything other than fantastic. Nice place to take someone if you want to treat them to a very special sweet treat. The staff were also sweet too, you can tell they love doing what they do.
I love this little restaurant. Please don't ask for dairy free as they may laugh. Butter is in everything most likely and why it tastes so good. Great coffee and a good location to sit and watch people go by. Fabulous pastries, creative sandwiches and other dishes and the selection of wine. You can come with a larger party for a bigger price, or wine tasting with dinner, or friends in the afternoon or morning and sit at a big table and paint. Very popular in Eugene!
I love this place. Perfect vibe. Perfect size. Good coffee and gluten free treats. The people are friendly and the current "girl from ipanenema" style music has me smiling. Come here instead of Starbucks down the street for a local experience. Nice in summer with outdoor seating.
This is one of my favorite places in Eugene! Their hemp milk lattes are delicious and I’ve never been disappointed in anything I’ve tried. Their lemon meringue tarts are my favorite, but I’ve also had their cake, hand pies, passion fruit tarts, and cupcakes and it’s all delicious. Highly recommend! I can’t wait to be back in Eugene so I can stop by for some pastries :)
I normally don't like gluten free desserts but man, their GF "brownies" are so good! Today was my first, so I bought a few things to bring home with me. Everything was a pleasure to eat, this is quality food made with quality ingredients by a very talented kitchen. Prices are not pretentious at all, you get very good food for a fair price. I really have nothing negative to say about this place, I will be back surely.
I have some extremely fond memories of this cafe. They're a bit expensive but it is downtown Eugene after all, and my understanding of a dollar hadn't quite kicked in yet at 21, so I definitely spent way too many mornings munching on their freshly baked croissants and sipping on their lattes before my classes at UO. I actually lived right up the street at Titan Court, 2013-2014. Fun times. Would go back in a heartbeat, and this place definitely shaped my university experience.
Super cute, super delicious foods! Excellent artisan sandwiches and just the most gorgeous baked goods!! Not too fancy for casual coffee, but also beautiful enough food that you could easily feel like you're at a luxury bakery!
I absolutely love this place, they have some of the best pastries in town, both sweet and savory, plus a great drink selection and fantastic staff. It's conveniently located, but also just enough outside of downtown to avoid a lot of the foot traffic. I can't say enough good stuff about it!
Excellent cafe/bakery with warm staff, recommend the savory hand-pies and the classic pastries (ham croissant)
This place is absolutely amazing. I've been three times this week. The cream cheese raspberry brioche is to die for. They have breakfast and lunch stuff. Good coffee too!! Staff are very helpful and friendly. Go. Go right now.
I'm always happy when I leave this establishment. Such a strong addition to the array of downtown eateries. They offer our local city delightful options of desert and savory pastries. I usually get their lemon bars, but instead we picked up some hand Pies to eat throughout our weekend. I was especially impressed with their Italian Sausage Hand Pie. Isn't it absolutely beautiful?
Never been here, I have diabetes. I saw yells deco cookies recently and just want to say I love you for that. 🥰
You can eat Ambrosia here. (Meaning the food is so delicious, it's almost divine/magic. You can taste the love and effort.) Noisette serves decadent works of art; masterpieces. If you ever stop by Eugene, this should be one of your spots to visit. 100% please try their food Their sandwiches are literally the best lunch sandwiches in town. I get the mozzarella alioli & sundried tomatoes even though it's vegetarian, because it's so damn good. Try their seasonal cupcakes or seasonal mini cakes! Try their passion fruit tart! Or try my favorite, the Bostoc!!!! Ahhh I could die happy with that. (it tastes like lightly sweet bread, with almond baked into the flavor, and a hint of orange) This is truly one of the cafes of all time.
This place is amazing. They have the best french pastries, bread and other lunch items in town. If this place wasn't in Eugene, living here would be a different experience. They also have great coffee and tea and all of the staff are truly fantastic. Hands down one of my favorite bakeries on the West Coast.
Stopped by in the morning, Cafe had many options of pastries, including GF and Vegan. Highly satisfied with our visit would highly recommend to anyone wanting to go to a nice cafe!
Noisette is my all time favorite bakery in Eugene. They have delicious, traditional French style pastries, cakes, tarts, confections and baguette sandwiches. I adore how light and fluffy all of their desserts are and the diversity in options, as they have both delicious lunch options, such as the scrumptious hand pies and sandwiches, as well as a wide array of delectable desserts. The staff is very friendly and the bakery has a very chill and chic atmosphere, with hanging lanterns and rotating local art on sale. This is one of my favorite places to treat myself to some tea and a cookie while I study or to get lunch and a treat with friends. Definitely recommend!
Not a problem really and even fairly priced for the speciality food market just not me. I had a truly delightful fresh mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, pesto served on the most wonderful baguette. Drip coffee was a bit brutish which seemed fine in it's self and with the owner; "say when" on the creamer and a single granulated sugar that house coffee was off to the races for me. I'll fondly recall a single cookie most. A Hazel nut shortbread cookie or the "cloud" its a family's traditional treat. I'm so glad to discover another as delicious as my own.
Literally the best coffee shop experience ive ever had! My white mocha is incredible, ill definitely be back for the spread of pastries, also the barista made a point to ask my name and make some very welcomed small talk which i needed this morning! Thank u cant wait to return
A great local bakery that gives Eugene a little feel of Paris. My wife and I have been going here for years whenever we want a fun weekend breakfast and indulgent coffee. Just be sure to double check their hours before heading over.
This is the best cafe/ bakery in the Willamette valley. Everything that they make is absolutely amazing. It is my go-to morning place. Here's an interesting story though that has nothing to do with their food and happens to be one of the kindest things anyone has ever done for me in 44 years. I usually would come to this cafe in a suit with a tie on, because most of the times I would be there I would be on the way to work. This is the Willamette valley Oregon and not everyone wears suits and even when they do wear suits they don't know how to wear them so it's not super common to see a man in one for work. I was never judged though and they were always sweet to me as I was always sweet to them because it's my natural way and nature to be kind and protect people. This is how the owner ( I wish I knew her name but she is a shorter gal with red hair) knew me as a guy who was polite and kind and well dressed. When I'm not at work I look like a crazy biker. tattoos and all, belly tattoo too and I usually wear my biker vest with nothing under it in the summer. One Saturday I went in to get some treats in my biker garb and every single trustafarian transplant Mom from parts unknown was in line. They collectively turn towards me and started giving me dirty looks and we're visibly annoyed with my presence. They could not believe that a dirty biker was close to them or in "their" cafe. The owner was arranging flowers across the room saw this happening and stopped what she was doing to walk over to me in the middle of all those hostile ladies. She asked me how I was doing today, she called me sweetie and then told me how happy she was to see me there. She looked at the other ladies in their face as if to say shame on you you don't even know who this man is. They all went back to minding their own business. They have a sign in there door that says everyone is welcome no matter what and that you're safe there to be who you are. When she put that sign up she meant it and she means everyone. I have never had another adult that was a stranger stand up for me like that. She could see my true heart and new that I was kind and gentle and a protector. I am loyal to them and her forever because of it. So if you want the best food in town and you care about the ethics and morals at a business this is the place for you. As long as they are open they will have my family's business and she will always have my admiration. Go there instantly you will not be disappointed.
This a bakery right out of a dream. Flawless pastries, both sweet and savory. The savory hands pies are perfect.
Needed a large order of pastries for our wedding. We tried around a few bakeries in eugene to find who we wanted to order from. We were originally going to go through Sweet Life Petite but when we contacted their catering service, they were rude, dismissive, and wouldn't even cut the pastries for us! We contacted Noisette, and not only did they offer to cut the tarts, they offered to bake us smaller tarts just for our wedding! The woman had excellent customer service and made sure everything was to our liking. I would highly recommend Noisette!
In a city that has horrible food in general, this place really excels. I bake all the time and have no idea how they make all of their items taste so good. I can’t believe anybody would leave a one star review of this place. Maybe somebody got bad service (it’s always busy) or somebody was not doing well for a day but how could one not love their baked goods. Normally bakeries this special are found in bigger cities. Love love love you Noisette. Thanks for all of the great food!!!
I fell in love with their Olive Oil Cake. It was so delicious and perfectly moist. It literally melts in your mouth. It has a zesty twist, which I love. I would definitely recommend it. The Coconut Cream Tart was also delicious. I enjoyed all the different textures and combination of flavors. The tart had toasted coconut flakes, a mini macaroon and the delicious crunchy shell holding all the goodness together. The tart overall was well balanced and not overly sweet. I also ordered a bacon & ham croissant and a baked egg croissant. The bacon & ham croissant was delicious. The flavor of the cheese stood out the most, which I enjoyed. The other croissant was not what I expected; therefore, I didn’t enjoy it very much. The egg was dry and overly salty. Finally, I ordered a regular iced matcha, which was so refreshing and smooth. I would have liked some sweetener in there, but I forgot to ask. It was still very good.
Cappuccino was delicious and their oatmeal cookies the best. Lots of little raisins, dense chewy not too sweet.
Wow, this place can bake. Friendly people who work hard. Very professional. They move folks and cupcakes right along. Crowded. People hard at work. Busy. Feels like a Big City French Bakery. Their offerings are different, for the most part, from the other French Bakeries in town. Wow. With so much to choose from, I chose a crust shattering delicious baguette. I shall return. Very many choices. I was surrounded by happy people waiting to order. So, yeah.
Yesterday I received the best birthday surprise ever... a cake from Noisette Pastry Kitchen! A family member called and ordered from out-of-state — this bakery handled every detail and delivered the cake to my door during a Zoom call with my entire family! Thank you so, so much for making this birthday one I will never forget. The details on the cake were amazing, almost too gorgeous to slice into! By far one of the best tasting cakes I’ve ever had, too! The icing is *heavenly* super light and sweet. Everything about my experience with this place was wonderful, thank you again for going above and beyond in customer service!!
Noisette has the best Macarons I've ever tasted and they have rotating flavors. The Olive Oil White Wine Cake is very moist tasty and surprisingly light. The Brioche Buns are versatile and delicious. The Palmiers are pure buttery goodness. The Lemon Bars are the perfect balance of tart and sweet. The Peanut Butter Hazelnut Chocolate Chip Cookie combines all my favorite flavors seamlessly into the perfect Cookie. The Bostock is a Brioche Dough with Orange Blossom Simple Syrup, Almond Cream, Slivered Almonds, and Powdered Sugar. This was the first place I ever had one and it immediately became a favorite of mine. The Chicken Hand Pie has Chicken Breast, Leeks, Mushroom, Whole Grain Mustard, and Fontina Cheese and it's scrumptious. You can get a Latte, Cappuccino, or Mocha, and will not be disappointed. Tasty treats await you at Noisette Pastry Kitchen.
Went here twice in the past 24 hours, savory the first time, for lunch, and then sweets for breakfast the second visit. Everything was outstanding! We also got a baguette to go. Also excellent. The service was very friendly. I would be a regular if I lived in Eugene.
Went to get some goodies for my daughters birthday and was so impressed I ended up getting a $100 gift card too. The cupcakes were delicious! Can't wait to go back!
Noisette is my favorite cafe in Eugene. I visit from Seattle several times a year, and this is always a must stop for me. The pastries are excellent, the atmosphere is lively, and no trip to Eugene feels complete without it. The walls are all windows so bring sunglasses on a bright day!
If you've never been here, you should RUN here now! I must say, the food here is so off the chart delicious, no matter what you order! I have been here several times & thought I did a review, but I guess I didn't. Anyhow, I got the Coconut Creme Tart, my gal pal Emily got the Chocolate Mousse Cake. Emily had a house coffee made into a mocha & I had a decaf Americano. I seriously wanted to order 15 different items & take them all home! I always order something different when I go, because the flavors are all so creative & exclusive. I will be back! ♡
Excellent pastries, atmosphere and service. The chocolate croissant and sausage hand pie I had were excellent - flaky and moist. My drip coffee was average. A little flat with bitter and sour notes (not much complexity of aroma/flavor). Perhaps sitting a while since initial brewing? (I wish I could find a place that did single pour-overs somewhere in Eugene.) I’d return for the pastries for sure! (And I actually did 2 days later, to get some for the flight before we flew out.)
Went for a long walk downtown today, and had to stop by Noisette Pastry Kitchen of course! I had a wonderful mocha and a delicious apple galette! I stop by Noisette whenever I am in the area, and have tried a number of their pastries and coffees... and they are always terrific! Staff is always wonderful also! The cherry tart is from a previous visit!
Noisette sits with poise at the corner of Charnelton and West Broadway in downtown Eugene. Though given the French name for the humble hazelnut, this place may be the empress of bakeries in Eugene. The pastries they had on a random Thursday afternoon when I walked in: the blackberry nectarine pistachio frangipane. The strawberry lavender Tres Leche cake. The mixed berry tart with fresh cherries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and two kinds of stone fruit. The coconut custard passionfruit curd which is gluten-free presented so elegantly. The yummy carrot cake sandwich. The coconut cream tart. Then you wander over and you see the olive oil white wine cake. For just $4.95. The lavender lemon tea cake. A cherry custard tart, the palmier. The hazelnut cloud cookies the pecan cloud cookie. The chocolate chunk shortbread cookie. The flourless chocolate cake. And then you see the savory options. The ham Greer on brioche buns with sweet pickles, lettuce, sweet mustard. The caramelized onion sweet red pepper leeks and mozzarella focaccia. The vegetarian savory tart which is leek, kale, artichoke heart, sweet peppers, goat cheese. But my favorite and the one I chose roasted lamb sandwich on sourdough with cucumbers, roasted tomatoes, grilled onions, and harissa aïoli. Next time it will be the mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil on baguettes with pesto. I'm not even gonna talk about the Hand pies. All this coming out of one bakery. The presentation is so beautiful. You almost don't want to eat it. And somebody here really loves their plants. They open from 8 to 6 Wednesday to Sunday. All bakers have to rise before the crack of dawn so deserve a break and they take their weekends on Monday and Tuesday. If you're not sure what to get talk to Emily she was super helpful.
Lovely, dahling, lovely! I had the Orange Cardamom Cake. I made this cake for Thanksgiving, and needed another piece. This one was perfect, with the perfect balance. I'll be back.
Noisette made the most beautiful selection of little deserts for our baby shower. Every single element of every single one was beautiful and perfect -- Just an incredible display of skill and care. We had several varieties of mini fruit tarts, chocolate mousse tarts, tiny cupcakes with fruit on top, and a colorful selection of macarons. I would recommend them all for a stunning display, but the pistachio macarons are the thing I find myself craving after the fact.
A barista from my regular coffee house told me about this place today. It was only 11 miles away so I drove straight to it. Customer service is a make or break for me. The staff was very friendly and told me everything is made in house down to the syrup. You can see the bags of wheat ready for milling when you walk in! The smoked trout was delicious and the croissant bread was a WOW. Look forward to going back
I ordered croissants, an egg scallion bacon brioche and to wash it down London fog.....it was ALL VERY GOOD. I didn't give 5 stars because very Impersonal and not very cozy environment. Pretty industrial feel.
Just popped in for some tea. Ordered a chai latte and it was okay. Not as sweet and frothy as I like. Food looked awesome, though. Made me sad I'm watching my carbs and calories. Was also clean, though rather industrial... Not a lot of cozy ambience. Nice that it has sidewalk seating.
Great pastries and the coffee was also tasty. My iced Americano was creamy without adding any creamer. You can tell they use decent coffee because it isn't super hash or acidic.
This place has a cute little selection of baked treats, breakfast-type items, breads, coffee drinks and even some prepared sandwiches and small salads. They offer several gluten-free items, including the brownie and savory tart I ordered, both of which were delicious. The lady behind the the counter helping us was very friendly and professional. Prices on some things (Savory Tart $5) were a little steep, but overall the quality of the food was very good, and the atmosphere was relaxed with an eclectic array of different types of people, both young and old. They also offer wine and dinner plates (on weekends I believe), which could be a fun date night idea. I'd definitely stop in again if I was in the area.
Dear God whyyy leave the pits in the cherry pie? It tasted so good but every other cherry had the pit in it and it made the eating experience so unpleasant. The caprese sandwich and galette were really good though. Those heirloom tomatoes are delicious.
Went to their Sweet and Spicy wine bar on a Friday evening and I wasn't blown away. It felt like they weren't quite sure how to be a wine bar yet. They were trying to do table service but also counter service for ordering desserts, but staff in neither place took the lead in making sure I was able to order, instead just walking around me awkwardly and avoiding eye contact. It wasn't that bad at all, just a little awkward and uncertain. In spite of this, the people were very nice. The ambience was a little cold and bright for me as a wine bar, but I imagine during the day it would be very welcoming. I ordered a glass of tawny port and a glass of a dessert white. Both were great but so, so expensive for the one-ounce serving we got. There were very few options for wine that you could order by the glass, but lots that you could order a full bottle of. Even if the wine weren't typically over $35 (which is a lot for me unless I know the wine, or at least the vineyard well), the two of us are not going to split a full bottle of wine so it just wasn't practical to order the full thing. That was a little disappointing to find at a wine bar. The desserts were delicious though. We had the chocolate later cake with malt and caramel frosting, which was a great balance of flavor and richness. The frangipane tart had a great flavor and texture. There were other great options in the case, too, and they were reasonably priced from $3-6 typically.
This is by far the best palmier I have ever had. and their hot apple cider was pretty delicious. I was unfortunately really disappointed with the macaroons, not sure if they were just overcooked today, but they were really crunchy, very different from what you would expect. Staff was very kind and the atmosphere is so welcoming, seems like a great place to relax and enjoy a coffee
Great local spot, cozy seating area, vast selection, amazing price point. Stopped in on our way back to Portland. I am a die hard carrot cake fan and I would have loved to give these cake cookies 5 stars, but honestly, I was overwhelmed by the dry, overcooked cookies so much so that I couldn’t even tell you what the middle frosting tasted like. The custard tart, however, was where it’s at. Rich inside, creamy, and flaky crust. The whipped cream frosting on top was a bit dry too, however, so I’m wondering if our late, last minute stop, end of day visit was a contributing factor. I would like to think that the pastries cakes and tarts can last an entire day. But I’m mostly a consumer, not a baker anymore. I would definitely recommend this spot based on your taste preference and sweet tooth.
Got macarons, but they were super crunchy and a filling somewhat chewy. Didn't seem freshly made at all. We have had macarons on Seoul, Tokyo, Paris, Portland, etc and if this is the best Eugene has, we will probably get some at whole foods the next time.
I hate giving businesses lower ratings. I really *want* to like this place, I do. But after multiple visits within the last 12 ish months and trying new things as well as certain personal favorites (like cookies) a few times, I am still consistently disappointed. The cookies are always pretty hard and dry... on a couple of occasions they were so dark they were just shy of being burned. Last time I was in, I got a piece of cake and the top frosting layer had basically no flavor. It was like eating plain lard, so I didn't finish it. The cake itself was mediocre; nothing extraordinary, that's for sure. I got some macarons on another visit, and those were *okay* though still not enough to wow me and make me want to return to eat more of them. With the exception of a friend who loves coming here, I probably won't return any time soon. :(
Pastries are always really good but unfortunately the coffee/lattes have become almost undrinkable in the last two years. It's sad it used to be so good but my triple shot tasted like water and had barely what I could taste wasn't very pleasant had two sips and had to toss it. Your charged quite a hefty amount for the flavors but idk if they really put in extra when you request it.
I got the orange cardamom tea cake which was actually perfect. But the potato salad was not to my taste; def not a classic potato salad and the flavors didnt seem to work to me. I have never seen zucchini, yellow mustard seeds, and what tasted like horseradish in a potato salad, but if that is your thing you will love it.
While beautiful from the outside and enticing to the palate, I was underwhelmed. The virtue signaling is pretty typical to the area? I guess I believe in living it (love), so it's off putting to see so much signage. The service did not match in kindness. I found myself wondering who they reserve the right not to serve? Isn't that curious? The veggie pie was fine as was the herbal iced tea. Not too polite. I cheated with gluten and took a digestive enzyme. Probably not worth it. 🫤
Distinct fishy smell as I walked in the door. They were serving dinner, but smelling fish as you walk into a pastry shop is a little off-putting. Of the available pastries, only a couple even looked and sounded good, but not good enough for what they charged. I left without ordering anything. I'd go to Sweet Life before visiting Noisette again.
When I first reviewed Noisette I was happy to be generous to support a local business, but my opinion of them has declined after every subsequent order. This order was the worst yet. I don't mind the fact that the website's menu often doesn't match what's actually available. I don't mind that the gluten free options are fairly limited. But I do care when I plan my day around how long something will take and then though no control of my own it takes twice as long. If you can't do delivery, don't offer delivery. If I say I want contactless delivery and there's an issue with the order, call me. If I call and ask why the order hasn't arrived yet, don't lie to me and say it'll be there soon when they haven't even left yet.
Ordered a gluten-free cake for my dad's birthday. It was stunningly beautiful. I wish it had tasted as good as it looked. It was dry, overly sweet and just tasted like sugar. We literally had to toss it all. It wasn't inexpensive, either.
My family ordered me cake for my birthday recently and it was beautiful.. I didn’t even want to cut it! Unfortunately, once I did, I had a slice of over baked, flavorless, dry cardboard with stingy filling and flat buttercream topped with tooth-breaking sprinkles. Noisette was the first bakery I visited when I moved to Eugene, and will always have a place in my heart. I hope this lands as advice to not choose style over substance.. instagram trends have led to a preponderance of overly thick, over baked layers that look tall and fabulous and end in disappointment. Give me tender cake and flavor over tall and dry any day!
Way overpriced, limited options, disgusting tables. Seating options obstruct pathways around the restaurant. We left.
Love the gf goodies, don’t love the bad vibes. I’ve been here several times with my toddler son on Friday afternoons. This time the staff was short, didn’t offer to warm up the food, and started playing music really loud 40 mins before closing. Also was asked sort of rudely to have my son not stand on a chair. That’s fine and all but the way I was approached jsut made me want to leave immediately and not came back. Very much seemed like they didn’t want anyone in there bothering them, though they are open till 6. Disappointing.
I ordered a 12oz matcha with almond milk and vanilla and it cost me $7.75. Ridiculous. And it wasn't even good. It lacked matcha flavor, lacked vanilla flavor, and was barely luke warm. Very disappointing.
Super disappointing and way over priced would not recommend 😕
The lady who helped me, grabbed the wrong food item I asked for, charged me for it, which was double the price than the one I wanted. THEN less than 1 minute after I noticed it wasn’t right, she refused to fix the problem or do anything about it! I was completely shocked! The lady said she couldn’t do anything about the payment since the food left the counter…bc I had grabbed the tray she handed me and stepped aside and then noticed it. I really thought it would be no problem… I didn’t realize it at the counter bc there were many other foods around and I just assumed my food wasn’t there yet, so when she handed me a tray I was confused and just stepped aside to figure it out. I don’t return food items much, usually I just roll with what I end up with but this sandwich had ingredients I don’t like (lox) and was $15 vs the $5 item I wanted. I don’t mind following business policies but there’s no sign or warning anywhere about it and if you’re going to be so strict about it you should double check orders before finalizing the payment. Which I was also confused when paying bc the price was a lot more than expected but there was a lot going on, it was busy, I was thinking “maybe I added on more pastries than I thought” and I didn’t know I was looking at my food bc it wasn’t what I ordered! Please repeat orders back to customers!!!! Also as a service industry worker, even if you can’t solve the problem you can at least make up for it in other ways. If anything she kept making me feel like it was my fault for not speaking up at the counter and I definitely cried after because of how much money I just wasted and could barley afford it, the total with coffee and a pastry and now a sandwich I didn’t ask for. I’ve shared this story with more details to my friends to get an understanding if this seems right or not and if this is a common policy, each time I share this, they are just as shocked as I was and still am!
Super disappointed. I ordered macaroons earlier in the week and was told I would receive a call that Friday. I called Friday to see whats a good time to pick them up and they haven't made them. They said they have a note to call me when they decide to make a dozen vanilla macaroons. Who wants to wait indefinitely for dessert. The food may be good but the people are super basic. I would have called the customer back for clarification. That's just good business. This business will not be getting me as a customer at all and that is my first interaction with them.so 😥
It’s a shame. I loved this place but the owner thought it was a good idea to bring politics in their business. Amd alienate a portion of their own customers with hate. Very sad because I wanted to use them for a wedding.
