Opinions de Noisette Pastry Shop Albans
I fell in love with their Olive Oil Cake. It was so delicious and perfectly moist. It literally melts in your mouth. It has a zesty twist, which I love. I would definitely recommend it. The Coconut Cream Tart was also delicious. I enjoyed all the different textures and combination of flavors. The tart had toasted coconut flakes, a mini macaroon and the delicious crunchy shell holding all the goodness together. The tart overall was well balanced and not overly sweet. I also ordered a bacon & ham croissant and a baked egg croissant. The bacon & ham croissant was delicious. The flavor of the cheese stood out the most, which I enjoyed. The other croissant was not what I expected; therefore, I didn’t enjoy it very much. The egg was dry and overly salty. Finally, I ordered a regular iced matcha, which was so refreshing and smooth. I would have liked some sweetener in there, but I forgot to ask. It was still very good.
Cappuccino was delicious and their oatmeal cookies the best. Lots of little raisins, dense chewy not too sweet.
Wow, this place can bake. Friendly people who work hard. Very professional. They move folks and cupcakes right along. Crowded. People hard at work. Busy. Feels like a Big City French Bakery. Their offerings are different, for the most part, from the other French Bakeries in town. Wow. With so much to choose from, I chose a crust shattering delicious baguette. I shall return. Very many choices. I was surrounded by happy people waiting to order. So, yeah.
Yesterday I received the best birthday surprise ever... a cake from Noisette Pastry Kitchen! A family member called and ordered from out-of-state — this bakery handled every detail and delivered the cake to my door during a Zoom call with my entire family! Thank you so, so much for making this birthday one I will never forget. The details on the cake were amazing, almost too gorgeous to slice into! By far one of the best tasting cakes I’ve ever had, too! The icing is *heavenly* super light and sweet. Everything about my experience with this place was wonderful, thank you again for going above and beyond in customer service!!
Noisette has the best Macarons I've ever tasted and they have rotating flavors. The Olive Oil White Wine Cake is very moist tasty and surprisingly light. The Brioche Buns are versatile and delicious. The Palmiers are pure buttery goodness. The Lemon Bars are the perfect balance of tart and sweet. The Peanut Butter Hazelnut Chocolate Chip Cookie combines all my favorite flavors seamlessly into the perfect Cookie. The Bostock is a Brioche Dough with Orange Blossom Simple Syrup, Almond Cream, Slivered Almonds, and Powdered Sugar. This was the first place I ever had one and it immediately became a favorite of mine. The Chicken Hand Pie has Chicken Breast, Leeks, Mushroom, Whole Grain Mustard, and Fontina Cheese and it's scrumptious. You can get a Latte, Cappuccino, or Mocha, and will not be disappointed. Tasty treats await you at Noisette Pastry Kitchen.
Went here twice in the past 24 hours, savory the first time, for lunch, and then sweets for breakfast the second visit. Everything was outstanding! We also got a baguette to go. Also excellent. The service was very friendly. I would be a regular if I lived in Eugene.
Went to get some goodies for my daughters birthday and was so impressed I ended up getting a $100 gift card too. The cupcakes were delicious! Can't wait to go back!
Noisette is my favorite cafe in Eugene. I visit from Seattle several times a year, and this is always a must stop for me. The pastries are excellent, the atmosphere is lively, and no trip to Eugene feels complete without it. The walls are all windows so bring sunglasses on a bright day!
If you've never been here, you should RUN here now! I must say, the food here is so off the chart delicious, no matter what you order! I have been here several times & thought I did a review, but I guess I didn't. Anyhow, I got the Coconut Creme Tart, my gal pal Emily got the Chocolate Mousse Cake. Emily had a house coffee made into a mocha & I had a decaf Americano. I seriously wanted to order 15 different items & take them all home! I always order something different when I go, because the flavors are all so creative & exclusive. I will be back! ♡
Excellent pastries, atmosphere and service. The chocolate croissant and sausage hand pie I had were excellent - flaky and moist. My drip coffee was average. A little flat with bitter and sour notes (not much complexity of aroma/flavor). Perhaps sitting a while since initial brewing? (I wish I could find a place that did single pour-overs somewhere in Eugene.) I’d return for the pastries for sure! (And I actually did 2 days later, to get some for the flight before we flew out.)
Went for a long walk downtown today, and had to stop by Noisette Pastry Kitchen of course! I had a wonderful mocha and a delicious apple galette! I stop by Noisette whenever I am in the area, and have tried a number of their pastries and coffees... and they are always terrific! Staff is always wonderful also! The cherry tart is from a previous visit!
Noisette sits with poise at the corner of Charnelton and West Broadway in downtown Eugene. Though given the French name for the humble hazelnut, this place may be the empress of bakeries in Eugene. The pastries they had on a random Thursday afternoon when I walked in: the blackberry nectarine pistachio frangipane. The strawberry lavender Tres Leche cake. The mixed berry tart with fresh cherries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and two kinds of stone fruit. The coconut custard passionfruit curd which is gluten-free presented so elegantly. The yummy carrot cake sandwich. The coconut cream tart. Then you wander over and you see the olive oil white wine cake. For just $4.95. The lavender lemon tea cake. A cherry custard tart, the palmier. The hazelnut cloud cookies the pecan cloud cookie. The chocolate chunk shortbread cookie. The flourless chocolate cake. And then you see the savory options. The ham Greer on brioche buns with sweet pickles, lettuce, sweet mustard. The caramelized onion sweet red pepper leeks and mozzarella focaccia. The vegetarian savory tart which is leek, kale, artichoke heart, sweet peppers, goat cheese. But my favorite and the one I chose roasted lamb sandwich on sourdough with cucumbers, roasted tomatoes, grilled onions, and harissa aïoli. Next time it will be the mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil on baguettes with pesto. I'm not even gonna talk about the Hand pies. All this coming out of one bakery. The presentation is so beautiful. You almost don't want to eat it. And somebody here really loves their plants. They open from 8 to 6 Wednesday to Sunday. All bakers have to rise before the crack of dawn so deserve a break and they take their weekends on Monday and Tuesday. If you're not sure what to get talk to Emily she was super helpful.
Lovely, dahling, lovely! I had the Orange Cardamom Cake. I made this cake for Thanksgiving, and needed another piece. This one was perfect, with the perfect balance. I'll be back.
Noisette made the most beautiful selection of little deserts for our baby shower. Every single element of every single one was beautiful and perfect -- Just an incredible display of skill and care. We had several varieties of mini fruit tarts, chocolate mousse tarts, tiny cupcakes with fruit on top, and a colorful selection of macarons. I would recommend them all for a stunning display, but the pistachio macarons are the thing I find myself craving after the fact.
A barista from my regular coffee house told me about this place today. It was only 11 miles away so I drove straight to it. Customer service is a make or break for me. The staff was very friendly and told me everything is made in house down to the syrup. You can see the bags of wheat ready for milling when you walk in! The smoked trout was delicious and the croissant bread was a WOW. Look forward to going back
This is by far the best palmier I have ever had. and their hot apple cider was pretty delicious. I was unfortunately really disappointed with the macaroons, not sure if they were just overcooked today, but they were really crunchy, very different from what you would expect. Staff was very kind and the atmosphere is so welcoming, seems like a great place to relax and enjoy a coffee
Great local spot, cozy seating area, vast selection, amazing price point. Stopped in on our way back to Portland. I am a die hard carrot cake fan and I would have loved to give these cake cookies 5 stars, but honestly, I was overwhelmed by the dry, overcooked cookies so much so that I couldn’t even tell you what the middle frosting tasted like. The custard tart, however, was where it’s at. Rich inside, creamy, and flaky crust. The whipped cream frosting on top was a bit dry too, however, so I’m wondering if our late, last minute stop, end of day visit was a contributing factor. I would like to think that the pastries cakes and tarts can last an entire day. But I’m mostly a consumer, not a baker anymore. I would definitely recommend this spot based on your taste preference and sweet tooth.
While beautiful from the outside and enticing to the palate, I was underwhelmed. The virtue signaling is pretty typical to the area? I guess I believe in living it (love), so it's off putting to see so much signage. The service did not match in kindness. I found myself wondering who they reserve the right not to serve? Isn't that curious? The veggie pie was fine as was the herbal iced tea. Not too polite. I cheated with gluten and took a digestive enzyme. Probably not worth it. 🫤
It’s a shame. I loved this place but the owner thought it was a good idea to bring politics in their business. Amd alienate a portion of their own customers with hate. Very sad because I wanted to use them for a wedding.
