Duo is a nice place to eat, plenty of parking and places to sit, inside and out. The staff is attentive and checks if you need anything as your eating. They recently had to make a change in their hours. There isn't enough staff to serve dinner so they have had tobchange their hours to 8am to 3pm every day. They will still serve their whole menu. The lemonade is delishious, they make it with honey.

Don’t let the quiet atmosphere fool you! Just moved to the neighborhood and have been here countless times from their amazing coffee and breakfast to their full entrees! Today I ordered the chicken pesto pasta and was absolutely perfect. Chicken is seasoned and tender, pesto was authentic and no heavy cream or add ons; just basil and oil! Family owned and friendly staff! ♥️

I have been to the Duo Grill House twice and had very good experiences. I particularly liked the artichoke crab dip which was small but very tasty, the fried calamari with an excellent tomato horseradish sauce, the vegetable omelette which was stuffed with vegetables and really tasty, Truly superb sweet potato fries, the warm spinach salad, and the really excellent customer service both times. The fish and chips were just average, and the chocolate mousse cake had no mousse and little chocolate taste. But overall, I enjoyed it so much that I plan to keep going back.

Oh Lordy their beef hash is to die for, it’s like carnitas! But we’ve enjoyed many dishes here and keep coming back for wonderful breakfasts. Attentive service and pleasant atmosphere with cozy booths or seats at the windows.

I love going to Duo Grill for brunch. They have really good food, the service is great, you get your food right away and it's never crowded. Honestly, it is such an underrated place. I always ask for spicy chilaquiles and they never dissapoint. Their beans are also the best!

I love their salads - always fresh and delicious. Blackened salmon, goat cheese. Breakfast/brunch is great, too. Good coffee. Relaxed, cozy neighborhood atmosphere.

My family and I love Duo! Food is always on point, amazing staff that’s super friendly. Literally everything on the menu is executed so well, never disappoints. We regularly dine in and order delivery through food services and are always extremely satisfied. Breakfast is served all day including the kids menu which our toddler enjoys. Sad that the Mexican menu is no longer available, but there is more than enough variety with all the other options they have. Breakfast, lunch and dinner you really can’t go wrong.

This was my first time here. Their Chicken and waffles were the best chicken and waffles I ever had and I had many versions of it from different restaurants. This is the best place to have it. I can't stop drooling and thinking about how delicious it was and the sauce. Presentation, quality, taste, service staff and timing were absolutely perfect. I did not wait long unlike Dennys, staff were very friendly and checks in with you. Very respectful. The food was delicious. They make your plates look very high end and presentable clean and very creative. Price were affordable and worth it. Bravo I'm definitely coming back over and over again. Compliments to the chef and thank you for servicing us. See you again.

Nothing but good things to say about this place. Discovered it one day with my dad as we were trying to find a place to eat and tried it out. Me and my girlfriend are regulars here. Food is absolutely delicious. She loves the chicken sandwich as do I, but breakfast here is really good as well. The waiters/waitresses are really nice and friendly too. I believe it is a family run restaurant. By far my favorite restaurant around Berkeley.

This place is great. I don't know how they do it. They have a huge selection of items on their menu and everything is delicious. I had the blackened salmon salad and the salmon was cooked to perfection. We ended the meal with the churros with ice cream which was amazing. I've also come for breakfast and they have a great selection of breakfast treats on their kids menu. I came in a group of adults and kids and we ended up getting multiple items from the breakfast kids menu in addition to our regular plates. They are a great deal and have a great selection

We all quite enjoyed the food and it gave us time to chat anyway. Open faced crab sandwich and fries.. yum! If you want a cold crab sandwich, you can get that also, but closed with two slices of bread. Eggs and corned beef hash didn’t disappoint. They know how to cook hash browns among the best of them! Crispy and yummy! They also know how to make soft eggs when you order them “wet”.

Apparently I start eating as soon as they arrive and forget to take a photo 😂 ——- Updated 8/19/2021 with two more pictures —of the chicken sandwich on focaccia and the salmon. Both delish. Salmon was perfect—rich and tender. Also churro with ice cream was great. ——- Delicious food, beautifully presented, great service. They have expanded their Mexican offerings and so we tried the Chile Relleno Plate. I enjoyed the grilled fish tacos on their original menu and knew it would be good -- and it was! Was surprised by the tomatoey sauce on top of the chile but it was a great addition. They offer their amazing breakfast dishes all day. I always love Eggs Benedict so I ordered it with smoked salmon. Yumm and perfectly cooked, as you can see in the photo after I sliced into the egg. Other great dishes I've had here - the braised short ribs melt in your mouth. Prime rib, not on the menu right now, was huge and fabulous. Fried chicken and waffle was a bit too healthy for me, ha ha, because of the white meat chicken. I'm always surprised that this place isn't more crowded. I think it may be because this place offers a wide variety of cuisines and people are suspicious when you can get American style burgers, Asian dishes, and Mexican dishes on one menu -- they expect only one cuisine per restaurant for authenticity. But Duo Grill prepares everything very well and always presents every plate beautifully. Especially when there are different tastes and opinions in your group, this is an excellent choice.

Been to this spot a few times and always enjoy the food and prompt service. Street parking is almost always easy. This is one if my gotos for brunch fare for sure! There isn't a bad choice on the menu...try EVERYTHING 😋

I ordered the NY Steak and it was not great, the steak was kinda hard. The mashed potatoes and spinach tasted really good. The place is pricey tho and I expected bigger portions for the price.

I went for breakfast and the food was just basic diner food. I can't speak for lunch, but the breakfast was a little under seasoned, a little overcooked and overall very blank-canvas-y. My friend told me his eggs benedict was pretty good. They were playing soft jazz covers of pop songs and the service was very to-the-point. i might come here again and order something different.

Very disappointing quantity for the price. I ordered the French toast combo and literally got a single piece of toast cut in 2. Rest of the food was pretty bland too.
