Highwire Coffee Roasters Albany Reviews
My latte was an absolute delight: rich, foamy, and brimming with flavor, the perfect companion for a long catch up with an old friend. And the almond croissant…oh, the almond croissant! Flaky, perfectly sweet, and honestly the best I’ve ever had. Surrounded by greenery and the gentle hum of fellow coffee lovers, it felt like a tiny whimsical escape from the everyday.
This is the Highwire location to visit for consistently excellent coffee! Nestled within the Flowerland Nursery which offers the opportunity to stroll through plants, flowers, and an artisanal gift shop, friendly baristas poured exceptional quality cappuccinos, cortados, and Americanos at each of our 3 visits. Pro tip: try to get one of the small tables set into the foliage for enjoying your beverages. Patrons - many appear to be regulars - are friendly and engaged in fun conversation while waiting in line. We purchased beans at each of our visits and have greatly enjoyed them at home. Solano Avenue is a delightful location, cleaner than Oakland or Berkeley with better weather and many restaurants to enjoy. This establishment deserves your business as a premier Bay Area destination for fine coffee with Zen-like garden which earns it 5 stars across the board.
I’ve tried their coffee beans years ago and I like them. This is the first time I visited this location and their latte tastes so good! Not even to mention it’s only $4.75 for 12 oz and the perfect latter art!
Excellent customer service. Clean place. My latte taste delicious. The churro muffin was amazing!! Absolute I will come back. Prices okay. Love this place !!
A garden style cafe that I almost missed on my first visit. There was a short line but it went quite fast. Great oat latte and nice staff!
They open early! The best coffee encounter in the early morning i have ever had. I get to pet a cat 🐈 right at the booth, and they have some exotic plants, too. I had a coffee with oat milk. It's at the acidic side in comparison to the coffee shop 4 blocks away.
Really good coffee, they have a variety of options. And some Exquisite baked goods that goes very well with the coffee highly recommend it!!
A nice, independent coffeeshop on Solano Ave, inside of the Flowerland nursery. A very relaxing spot to hang out.
The plant nursery makes for a quaint outdoor space to get coffee.

Love everything about this place. It's tiny with just a few seats but it's inside the Flowerland plant nursery so you can walk around with your drink and shop for plants, both indoor and outdoor. I got a very special Chai tea with Saffron and cardamom. I have never seen something like that elsewhere and it was delicious. Looking forward to returning!
This coffee shop is incredible. The people are always so friendly. The Kashmiri chai is ahhhmazing. The plants surround you in your own little world of bliss as you sip it. And people bring their puppies so you can just chill, pet dogs, and live your best life. Honestly, it's my favorite place. Come share it with me and support this wonderful business.
I absolutely love this place! The staff are so kind and friendly, excellent capuccinos (no sizes -- the correct way to make them), it's in one of my favorite nurserys and also has cute tables in the garden if you want to sit. I also think the pastry selection is spot on.
This is my favorite coffee shop--the kitchen is in an old Airstream trailer from the 50s and in a local nursery! Can't beat that with a stick! The staff is super great (friendly, knowledgeable), and the bakery items are of such a variety and each one sooo tasty!
This is a gem of a small coffee shop operating out of a retro trailer in the Flowerland nursery. They are very friendly and have a great selection of coffee drinks and pastries, the latter of which are sourced from local bakeries. Perfect spot for a cappuccino and mochi muffin surrounded by beautiful plants from the nursery.
Excellent quality and variety of the specialty coffees, teas, and deserts. Good value. Very friendly and informative staff. Atmosphere very calming for enjoying your beverage of choice in a serene garden setting. A nice place for meeting friends.
Shocked and amazed by this awesome little coffee shop. I discovered my first highwire coffee in oakland. this one operates out of an old airstream trailer co-located with a plant nursery. Not a lot of outdoor seating, but the coffee is great, the pastries are fresh, and the service was reasonably friendly.
Finally found a great place in this area for espresso. Recommend. Cute little spot located adjacent to a nursery... Subtle kind of hidden spot you have to look out for it.

Ahhmazing cappuccino! And the pull apart everything roll was really great too. Visiting from out of town but I’ll be making this a stop every day while here.
I always get an oat chai with a churro mochi muffin, and it is always exactly what I’m looking for! This space is absolutely gorgeous, and I love that I can walk around Flowerland if the nursery is open.

Coffee truck nestled at the entrance to the nursery. Great coffee however no lids for the small takeaway cups.

Best espresso of any of the highwire locations I have been too. It is a darker roast than I like, but they have a great recipe so it doesn't get sour or bitter. My only complaint, not enough seats, then again it is in a plant store, not a standalone shop, which leads to some amusing scenarios with entitled people like the scene I saw. So don't wonder far from the stand even if there is a line. An upper middle class woman took a drink, sipped from it AND THEN ASKED "is this the oat latte for Sarah?" They called out the name of the drink and the person who it was for, CAPPUCCINO FOR JOYCE. Who takes a sip from a drink and then ask if it is yours. They did not apologize, making excuses, and saying oops is not an apology. This after having taken a sip from it. I would have charged her for it if I worked in that stand. But the baristas there are super nice and friendly, even answering my questions about their espresso ratio etc. would

I had high expectations on getting my mocha today at this place with tucked on the side of the plant shop. The coffee was weak, I couldn't taste neither the coffee nor the chocolate, just tasted like warm milk. Unfortunate experience since the girl was nice and the concept of a trailer as a coffee stand surrounded by plants was appealing.
