La Polleria Albany Reviews
La Pollería is a must-visit! The food and drinks are addicting! The chicha morada was absolutely delicious—perfectly sweet, refreshing, and full of flavor. The pollo a la brasa was juicy, tender, and seasoned to perfection with that classic smoky taste. I also tried the chaufa, and it was amazing—well-seasoned, flavorful, and generously portioned. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Great food, great flavors, and a place I’ll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommend!
10/10 recommend! The food was incredible, extremely affordable and top tier quality. The staff members were also warm, friendly, and welcoming. We ordered the whole chicken with salchipapas, white rice, and fried plantains. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and sooo tender and juicy. Honestly I haven’t had pollo a la brasa this good besides when I was actually in Perú. I hope this restaurant gets a lot of local support and becomes a staple of Lark st! My family and I will definitely be back!
I love the food here, I got the Combo 2 with yuca fries and maduros. Absolutely delicious. I can't wait to bring my friends here.
The food is very tasty and delicious! Like real Peruvian food. I totally recommend this place! Great service and nice atmosphere.
Absolutely amazing food. Door outside said closed but it was actually open. Go check this place out!

The food is very tasty and delicious! Like real Peruvian food. I totally recommend this place! Great service and nice atmosphere.
I’ve been to this spot many times and it never disappoints. It has the best rotisserie chicken in the area. As well as their other side dishes.
This place is awesome the chicken has amazing taste and fries are always hot! I have been going once a week now its a lark staple!
Ordered from here for the first time today, chicken was delicious! As was the rice. We got it delivered and it came steaming hot, definitely recommend!
First time trying the chicken from this restaurant and I loved it! Delicious, tender chicken, generous portions, and very tasty sauces. Recommended!
Great chicken, tacos, and rice pudding. Wish the space was bigger so you could sit at a table and eat there, but takeout is excellent, and the seating at counter also works for a quick bite.
Street tacos were amazing! Chicken and steak were both tender and flavorful. Sauce had some kick but nothing crazy. Rice and beans were sublime—a bowl of creamy, saucy beans and a beautiful plate of white rice. It’s a cramped little place if you want to dine in, but service was quick and friendly. Definitely recommend, especially for people who may want to venture out and support a local business.
Went to go eat today and the pollo la brasa was THE BEST the sauces that came with were amazing all thanks to chef Marlon
I had a wonderfully delicious experience here today! I ordered something that was not on the menu and the staff went above and beyond to make it happen for me. I wish I took a picture of my food before I devoured it. It was unexpected in taste from what I have eaten at other Peruvian restaurants. Their green sauce looked different but it tasted absolutely amazing! I would very much recommend this spot. I had lomo saltado but with chicken. They didn't have the chicken ready for this dish (since it's not on their menu) so they cut it up for me fresh. It was quiet when I went in around 2p so I might have gotten lucky with that.
The tacos are sooo good! The pollo asada and the steak tacos are amazing! They have a good smoky hot sauce that comes with them. I'm snobby about food. This place is legit!
Today I went to la polleria with my wife, and everything was truly amazing. I ordered a combo with fried rice, and my wife had lomo saltado. Not to mention the sauces they were wonderful. The variety of food this place offers makes it a great option. I can still smell that chicken absolutely spectacular. Without a doubt, we’ll be back next week.

Ordered chicken and it wasn't cooked. I will never go again
Here's another place that we order from usually weekly. Their steak tacos are awesome and I absolutely love their fried plantains. 🌮
Great food but the order process could be a little smoother. It's a small place and there were a lot of people. Food is excellent!

Coming from the city, it's great that Albany finally has a proper Peruvian restaurant. I'm very happy with the dishes and atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back regularly. Edit: Your menu feels a little deceptive. I was fully expecting 3 tacos with my order, especially since your menu says Tacos (plural) and shows 3 in the picture.
Food is delicious however, the portions are way too small for the prices that they’re charging.
I ordered quarter white and yellow rice. I received quarter dark with white rice. The chicken was tasty and the sauce that came with it as well. The beans were creamy and flavorful. The white rice was a bit old and chewy. If I come back again I’ll pull out my order and check it. Services was nice.

$6.50 for a side order of Yuka fries, and this is what I get? The chicken could also be cooked more; I had to put mines in the oven for a bit.

Review as a delivery driver. Employees were rude and ignored me for about five minutes and when they finally acknowledged me, they told me my order would take atleast 10 more minutes when it was supposed to be picked up 5 minutes before they finally talked to me. It was also marked ready to pick up on the app. Store also has no parking. It isn't equipped for delivery and should get better management if it wants to continue
