10/10 tuna melt
Fish tacos were delightful
Excellent service
great food, a little expensive
So good!
Quality of food is outstanding
Great Turkey sandwiches.
No Angel's here.
😋😋
were are the emeralds?
it's a beautiful place to go spend time with your loved one or your family you can go camping hiking riding
Friendly staff and pulled pork sandwich special was really tasty.
Great for snacks or quick lunch before hiking or taking a trolley ride.
It might be hard to believe but they had the best tuna melt ever!
My wife had a mediocre coffee here
Captive audience, but good food and great service.
Amazing Tuna Melts, Great Price, Great Fast Service.
My favorite coffee place after a barbeque on angel island
Only cafe on the island. Nice outdoor accommodations.
Fantastic lunch spot, burgers are great
Very good food but little costly.
This place has great food and great staff.
Lovely wait staff. Not a terribly large food selection but what is offered is delicious! It is very expensive but frankly, given the idyllic setting you don't mind the price. Nice outside deck sitting, no wind, just calm vistas of the bay.
Had chilli and a veggie wrap. Both were of significant size and delicious. However, the biggest positive impression came from their granny smith apples. Usually those are ugly and old in cafes and delis. But here they looked and tasted excellent
Great food and nice staff. Great place to have lunch after a nice bike ride or hike on the Island. Alex, the young man running the register and helping with bike rentals, was really helpful and friendly.
Easy peasy boxed lunches: We ordered ahead online for our large group to avoid standing in line and it worked out beautifully! Staff at the cafe were friendly & helpful. Thank you for helping make our group outing a success!
We had a Hike until Livermore Mont and that was awesome. Many big butterflies around us and amazing view. That was crowded on the first boat in the morning....you have to know that.
Great food at the cafe. Also nice staff. The food is tasty and fresh. Beautiful view while eating lunch in the shade overlooking the bay and the sailboats!!
Fantastic cochinita pibli pulled pork sandwich! Seriously, editing a week and a half later, the thought of this sandwich still makes my mouth water. It was like chorizo flavored pulled pork... can you imagine?
Amazing service great vibes and beautiful hiking. 10 stars for extra accommodation
What a great place to unwind after a 6 mile hike. They have lots of different food options to choose from. We enjoyed a glass of wine/beer and watched the wild life around us while we waited for the Tiburon ferry to arrive.
Delicious food every time. The employees are super friendly. Sit outside and enjoy the views.
A great place to moor your boat overnight or just day use the docks. The cafe has good sandwiches, burgers and nachos. :).
The best tuna melt after a long hike!!
$3.50 for apple juice 🧃

Sooo cool that they have food and beer and supplies here on the island! The staff are also really friendly and helpful. Thank you for being open! It's a nice chill destination for lunch
Got sandwiches and a cookie through our group tour. Very tasty!! I had a vegetarian humus wrap chock full of crunchy veggies! Lots of yummy flavor!!

Good food
Beautiful and good food
To many flys
This was cool
Excellent service.
Great place to get a beer and a snack after a hike or bike ride. Friendly staff!
The pulled pork here is pretty good and its at a decent price.
Nice outdoor deck to enjoy the views.
Understandably expensive, but at least items were fresh and tasty. How expensive? A 12 fl. oz can of Coca-cola was $3.50 - then the machine prompted for a tip!!
Friendly service, happy island vibes, and a beautiful view. The food was basically concession stand variety but that's pretty much what we were looking for. Nice experience 👍
I gave them four out of five stars because honestly I don’t think they can make it as an independent country. The Free Angel Island movement plans on making the cafe the statehouse and presidency’s home. The old hospital is going to house the Department of Interior. The bike rental shack will be the prison. They keep talking about how great it’s going to be. My bet is they might decide to make some sort of commemorative stamp to make money. Similar to other micro nations. Or perhaps compete with the Vatican and try to get the Pope to move. Only time will tell. There’s rumors of gold on Mt. Livermore and a group of radicals want to seize Red Rock island. You may want to put your name down to volunteer. Someone already has been asked to compose a national anthem. It’ll be in English and inexplicably partially in Old Norse. Someone has been watching too many episodes of Vikings.
Small cafe with lunch and drinks available along with keepsakes about Angel Island. Outdoor seating. It was a perfect sweater day however it can get chilly when the wind comes up.
I took my elderly father and my very young nephew and niece there a while ago (by our private boat) and the experience was great , now I plan on taking my 7 yr old grand daughter and 5 yr old grandson to the park and cafe for their first time next week , it will also be their first time on grandma and grandpa's boat , I am looking very forward to sharing this amazing island and its history with them along with the great food that the cafe serves to complete the trip
I had the vegan wrap! It was yummy and filling. The prices are for tourists, which means-- expensive.
Decent tasty sandwiches beer popsicles and all. 2 sandwiches 2 beers 1 bag o chips $42.00....ouch!
Nice place to grab coffee or lunch on the island.
Surprisingly not bad for being the only place for a bite on Angel Island. The turkey provolone sandwich was not too expensive and tasted good. It had pesto and sun dried tomatoes, which were was nice. No complaints
The only spot to eat on Angel Island, and overall an enjoyable experience! Decent portion sizes, but limited selection (especially later in the day). We ate lunch at 2pm and the daily special was sold out and only 1 of 4 burrito options was available. Would recommend the nachos!
Pull pork burger was deliciously greasy. Just the thing I wanted after a nice long hike at angel island. Caution it might be a bit too greasy for some people but it was great. Their nacho and Frito dishes come in huge portions too. Great for sharing with friends unless you are really hungry. Price is similar to that of an eatery around the pier. Not as pricey as I expected for this being the only cafe on the island. Minus one star for all the flies at the indoor sitting areas though.

Angel Island Café offers limited options for quick bites and beer, but it’s a decent stop after a hike. It can get quite crowded when the shuttle arrives, so timing your visit helps. Simple, convenient, and great views while you rest.
The coffee was unsurprisingly expensive, but the day i was there, there was a guy singing an playing guitar. I think he might have made sone of the songs. Anyway, the live music made for decent ambience.

Pricey
Expect long lines on the weekend and expect yo pay $$$ . One can of flavored bubbly and one small bottle of Leaf tea = $9!! Bring your drinks and food if possible.
It was ok food. But very overpriced for what you get. Better to bring food with you if you can.
Nice place but needs more seating area and possibly a few extra members of staff
Closed, December, January and February. The guy at the boat station said it might reopen in march.
Hot dog is really small, would not be enough for adult
Very basic... ipa and soda in cans, pre-made sandwiches
Not much of a selection
Not bad and not overpriced considering the captive market
The Island is not about the Café, no bad comments here
Great little place however I wish it was open longer. The tram tour ended at 3 and I hoped to get a snack and some water but found it had closed at 2:30. Given the last ferry back to San Francisco didn't leave until 4:35, it seemed pretty premature to close that early
Since there are no other options, you' re a captive audience, especially if you're hungry. Mediocre and beyond hugely expensive food! If I ever go back, I'll bring my own food! But, I probably wont go back. Too bad the gouge is so significant:(
Not sure how this has over 4 stars. Very mediocre food at grossly inflated prices. I didn’t really expect anything better but it’s nothing to raise your expectations about.
You can order oysters on a half shell here. They will shuck the oysters when you order. The guy is pretty slow at shucking. If you don't like onions, stop him before he dresses the oyster.
The food is isn't bad and the staff is very nice. I had the chili cheese hot dog and was very good.
They only has one veg wrap and everything was meat wraps. The wrap was good but only limited options in veg.
Not great in any way beyond it exists on the island, so I guess it is fine
The coffee was extremely weak, likely instant, Don't bother. The nachos were very good and service was friendly. They have single wrapped ice creams which can provide a little jolt of energy after a day of hiking or biking.
Great island. Food prices are high in US... 8 dollars for a bottle of beer too
The only choice possible to eat on the island, but the quality was decent. A little bit expensive ($6 for a hot-dog), but as almost everywhere in SF.

Kind of expensive so I just bought bottled tea and a snack. It's the only place so there can be a long line or wait for fresh made food or cafe drinks. The seating and view are nice while waiting for the ferry.
Food was average. I got my order about 20 something minutes after I ordered it. Once I got it, I was bombarded with bees. They weren't hurting me but I couldn't even take a bite without one of them trying to land on it while I was trying to eat. I recommend saving your money for when you are anywhere else. Even on the tour boat.
I highly recommend that you bring your own food. $$$$$

Overpriced, disgusting and absolutely flavourless is the only way to describe this place.
Rushed back to have lunch before our ferry arrived to find the kitchen was closed! Make sure you bring your own food if you plan on a long hike!
I was going to buy a "turkey stick". This is a tiny, 60 calorie slimjim-like snack. It weighs an ounce (28g). The price rang up as $6.65! The price of the food here is like buying gas in Death Valley.
no one answers the phone
I have to rate 1 star to post this. But really this place gets zero stars. They close at 2:30pm... Fine, I get it that they won't serve you after they close. But they also won't serve you if it's 2:20pm. And they still won't serve you even if the people just in front of you ordered food and you're the only other one in line. Even if all you want is nothing that involves cooking (i.e a wrap or a salad)?... They won't serve you because the kitchen is closed. So... Make sure you plan plenty of time to eat here. Or... even better, plan to pack your own food. Don't give them your business.
3:30pm and it’s already closed, still more than one hour for the next ferry and it was the only store around
It's closed !!!! Under new ownership and I think they're renovating. No word on signs when they'll reopen.
One of the worst sandwiches I have ever tasted in my life, regardless of the price. If you take the price into account, it can probably be considered a Guiness world record for how bad a deal it is. Also it’s called Angel Island Café but they don’t serve coffee.
I wish we had known more about Angel Island "Cafe" before we arrived. Thank goodness we brought some snacks for the kids because lunch selection was very poor and prices were 'mind blowing!' We had a turkey sandwich, a packet of salami and cheese, and nachos. The cost was $35 and change ($17 for the nachos!). A group came after us and were going to buy drinks but when they saw the prices, they changed their minds. The day had been lovely....ferry and tram, but the lunch experience was unfortunate. Bring your own!
The guy taking our order was literally audibly snarky with the cook in the back about my family ordering. He was annoyed, gave the guy our order (we’re a family of four) and talked crap all sarcastically to the cook about it. I felt so uncomfortable I just wanted to leave. I had no idea it was rude to order four things. For two adults two kids.
Me and my family came to this place yesterday at 15:00. It said open but there was no one inside the bar. After waiting for more than 15 minutes, a man appeared but, to our surprise he only changed the sign from OPEN to CLOSED without asking anyone if they wanted something. The last and only ferry was leaving at 17.
