Balzem Albee Square Reviews
Visiting from LA and was browsing for a place to have a nice bday dinner. It was exceptionally busy but trust the food and atmosphere made the wait worth it. Small & quaint space but it feels like a home. Food was phenomenal—so fresh and flavorful. David was amazing and catered to our needs
the best experience. orlando was attentive, gave us free shots and drinks, and was so kind. the food was outstanding and the atmosphere unmatched. come here and ask for orlando trustttttttt
Another amazing night at one of my favorite spots in the city — this time we came for valentine’s day. Each dish we tried was phenomenal. Our favorites were the manti and potato gratin. Our server Ilto was very kind and attentive.
the atmosphere was beautiful! the drinks were delicious & had beautiful presentation as well. the bartenders were extremely friendly & accommodating; i will absolutely be coming back!
Great Spot! Me and my gals came here for Valentine’s Day, Great service, cozy spot, drinks, and food! I loved the dim lights and the music, there was literally a DJ playing tunes. I will definitely return!
We had a wonderful experience at Belzam! Ilto, one of the hosts, was absolutely awesome—warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. The bartender, Hiko, was amazing as well. Both Ilto and Hiko were very accommodating and truly elevated our evening. We especially appreciated that on Valentine’s Day, Belzam was one of the few restaurants offering their full menu, which made the night even better. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, and the overall experience was top-notch. Highly recommend coming here—we’ll definitely be back!
This place is amazing! Kaan ( I think his name is) is the best bartender I have ever had! He truly went above and beyond for me and my friends! I definitely will be coming back and really hope I get to experience staff like I did again tonight!
Van at Balzem was amazing. So attentive, fun, and genuinely made the night better. She took great care of us, had the best energy, and even gave us free drinks which was such a sweet touch. She’s the kind of server that makes you want to come back just hoping she’s working. Truly the best!!!
kaan and orlando are great bartenders and the food is amazing and so flavorful. perfect if you want a satisfying meal that’s also healthy. All around a great vibe—music was awesome and service was on point. i love that you never feel rushed here and they just want you to have a great time.
We had a girl dinner here and they gave us two rounds of shots because we brought the good vibes!! The food and service was outstanding and the manager is so chill. Their cocktails were amazing I had the “Foxy’s Mezcal” drink which was so yummy and a burger!! I only visit nyc a couple times a year but I will definitely come back to this spot!!
An amazing date spot in the heart of Soho — very central, super authentic, and the atmosphere is just perfect. The staff are so kind, attentive, and create such a lovely, enjoyable vibe. The food is incredible — honestly, the burger was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the escargot was outstanding; I’ve never had it this good before. The butter, truffle, mushrooms, even the pita — everything was just amazing. I’m so glad I came here!
Amazing experience from start to finish! Every dish was spot-on — from the flavorful mezze platter to the juicy ribeye skewers and tender lamb chops. The mushroom flatbread is an absolute must-try, and the desserts were just as impressive. The music and overall vibe were impeccable, making it a perfect spot for a fun night out. Huge shoutout to Orlando for his outstanding service — super friendly, attentive, and even surprised us with free shots at the end. Highly recommend this place for great food, great energy, and great people!
My whole party was extremely happy with our time here. The food was delicious, the drinks were perfect, and the service was top notch. I appreciate that the volume of the music was not obnoxious, and the lighting sets just the right mood. Everything we ordered came out very quickly. We will definitely be back.
Definitely recommend make reservations on weekend evenings. Cute and cozy spot in SoHo. We were early for our reservation by about 20-25 minutes, but staff was able to accommodate. There’s both standalone 2 and 4 top tables plus a few larger tables and booths that accommodate larger groups, and there’s also high top tables that are community style seating so as long as you don’t mind if you have others seated next to you, they’re seats. Yummy drinks, delicious whipped pistachio & fresh pita to start. We got the grilled brochette (chicken) and tavern chicken, and both were generous portions and lo-carb. We left really full, but in a good way not a disgusting way. I think I favored the chicken brochette flavor and texture slightly over the tavern chicken, but both are great options. No room for dessert but enjoyed our visit. Professional and courteous staff, attentive in checking with us and clearing any service items.
Great experience!! At first I was a little nervous being GF/celiac and vegetarian coming for brunch, but boy was I surprised! **Han** was very helpful with his knowledge of the menu and ability to make things work for me! Really feels great when staff is knowledgeable and confident in the ingredients when dealing with an allergy, makes me feel much safer! Great experience and lovely staff!!
Balzem has potential to be a really nice spot, but there are definitely areas that need improvement. The service was very slow—I ordered a glass of wine before our food arrived, but it didn’t come until long after we had finished eating. The table next to us waited about 20 minutes for their drinks before giving up and leaving without even dining. The food itself was tasty, but not quite up to the price point. My salad looked dull and the lettuce wasn’t especially fresh. For what we paid, I expected more in terms of presentation and quality. On top of that, the atmosphere was extremely loud, which made it hard to enjoy the evening. We usually prefer more intimate dining experiences, so overall, I don’t think I’d return.
