Frequently asked questions about Fiat Café
Fiat Café Albee Square Reviews
Started with coffee and ended with desserts with all that pasta etc in between. Loved the food, the staff was charming and friendly and suggested when asked. It is great to see Fiat car ambience when hardly anybody drives a fiat in USA. I love brand Fiat since I was a kid and have many memories of it. I would come back again here.
Fiat Cafe was a real winner — full 5 stars! The food was delicious: perfectly fluffy pancakes, rich avocado toast, flavorful eggs Benedict, and strong coffee that hit the spot. Everything felt fresh and well-made. Service was friendly and quick — staff were welcoming and attentive. Atmosphere is charming and relaxed: bright, modern café vibe with comfy seating and a nice neighborhood feel. Perfect for a casual brunch or coffee break. Highly recommend!
Fiat Café feels less like a restaurant and more like a second living room you didn’t know you needed. There’s something effortlessly comforting about the space — the easy chatter, the cozy setting, and a team that greets you like an old friend instead of just another table. I always gravitate toward the same breakfast: French toast, soft scrambled eggs, and bacon. It’s simple, but it’s done with such care. The eggs are silky and delicate, the bacon perfectly crisp, and the French toast hits that nostalgic, not-too-sweet sweet spot. It’s the kind of plate that resets your whole day. What makes it special, though, is that the magic doesn’t stop at breakfast. Lunch and dinner carry that same soulful, satisfying quality. It’s reliable, heartfelt, and consistently excellent — a true hidden gem.
Stopped by Fiat Cafe in Nolita and everything felt so cozy and comforting. The pizza fritta was light and delicious, the calamari was crispy, the pappardelle hit like always, and the NY steak was cooked just right. The staff was also so sweet, which made the whole place feel even cozier. Definitely one of those spots you can relax in and enjoy good food.
Casual, comfortable, Italian cafe in soho. The spicy margarita mocktail outstanding. Everything in a cocktail minus the liquor. The calamari amazing. Light, corn meal, fresh seasoned well. Country bread was good. Nice hard crusty bread. The fresh cavetelli pasta with broccoli rabe and spicy sausage nice. Seafood pasta with ref sauce fresh and yummy.
I had a family reunion there. Catching up with all of my cousins who live in NYC. Chelsea was a delight in service, she was really personable, sweet and authentic. The food tasted very homely all the while having beautiful presentation and rich flavor. I love how they give you parmesan and chili shakers to top up as you please, felt like a home dinner (great for the reunion).
Beautiful, cozy and great place to have breakfast or lunch, either in family or alone. Food and service is great. The waitress made really good recommendations for food and coffee for breakfast. I will definitely come back to this place once I'm in NYC again. Remember to bring cash, they don't accept cards, but they have ATM in the basement if you need to take cash.
Wow! Pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant! We ordered the pasta with meatballs; which is good. But if you like vegetables, the broccoli rabe and mushroom garlic pasta is absolutely amazing. The seating on a weekend afternoon is tight. Real tight. But it’s a small cafe, what’re you gonna do 🤷🏻♂️ best for a party of two. Food is amazing though! Glad we stopped by!
The food is great. My family and I had a wonderful experience for lunch. The place is small so it's good to ask if they take reservations in advance. The staff is friendly and they take care of every detail. Price is fair and individual portions are well served. Will come back and I do recommend it even if you are not in the Soho area.
I had the BEST CAPPUCCINO OF MY LIFE!! The coffee was so delicious and perfect, plus it didn’t need any sugar!!! Please visit this cute cafe for their amazing service, food and atmosphere! My friend ordered a mushroom omelette and that was fantastic as-well. It’s Cash Only but they have ATM downstairs in the cafe! 11/10 highly recommend
A beautiful brunch place in Little Italy. The customer service is excellent and the owner of the cafe is so friendly. I tried scrambled egg sandwich and Eggs florentine. Every bite of the food was delicious. Undoubtedly, they have great coffee too. They are cash only and have an ATM inside. Overall, an amazing experience, unique interior and great vibe. I am definitely visiting this place again when I am in NYC.
We had a very nice breakfast here during our visit to NY. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and filling (never had pineapple on pancakes before but it worked!). It was a bit quirky having to descend the stairs to the basement to withdraw money from the ATM so I could to pay the bill (they didn’t take cards) but overall it was a good spot for some brekkie and coffee 😀
This place is cash only, which is odd for entering into 2026 for something that wants to be a restaurant. To be honest, the portions were pretty small for the price. We didn’t feel it was a great value. We literally walked to Chinatown to get something else after we left. And while the restaurant is small and cozy, it’s also more of a diner vibe with paper napkins. In terms of service we had to pour our own water and it was cash only. We are not planning to go back. It didn’t feel like a restaurant. Also, we don’t know it was cash. And we’re told, “cash only. it’s on the menu. ATM is downstairs (or wherever).” It’s almost 2026 and credit cards should really be accepted. And to start the suggested tip at 18% is a bit much given the lack of service.
Had the rigatoni bolognese and was left underwhelmed. It kinda just tasted like nothing? I liked the outdoor seating but other than that, I wasn’t a huge fan of the spot. Restaurant is cash only and they already add a 20% tip towards our party of 5. I don’t know if the service was that great, but it’s NYC, so I expected to pay up. I’m not sure anything else was really that great from my friends, but worth a shot
We had brunch. The food was disappointing- nothing special. One person at our table ordered oatmeal and it was completely tasteless so she exchanged for pancakes. It’s cute, cozy, but make sure in the winter you’re not by the door if you can.
We have been there a few times and brought many friends there. Past experiences were good. Food was good and service too. But today, I am really disappointed. No bread served. The salmon with arugula is really really salty. Clam with linguine is flat. If you mix those two dishes together might be perfect. The meat ball with spaghetti is ok, no surprise. The quality of food is not as good as pre-pandemic. I think they have a new chef. The waitress is too busy with other tables and never gets a chance to check on you. I would not bring my friends there, at least not now.
