Avis sur Fiat Café Albee Square
Stopped here before doing a Catacombs by Candlelight walk at Old St. Patrick's Cathedral for a bite to eat with a friend. It's a very small place, with what appears to be a tiny kitchen, but the food is delicious! They serve brunch on the weekends until 4, but can make anything off the menu if you like. The wait staff is very pleasant as well. One drawback is they are cash only, however, they have an ATM downstairs. (The stairs are narrow and steep so hold on to the rail). A very enjoyable experience!
When friends are coming over to NY I always recommend Fiat Cafe! It’s perfect for your early breakfast, a friendly lunch, an afternoon snack with a glass of wine, your date night or even your brunch on Sunday! I just love to go there because I always feel at home and it never disappoint 💕
Came here for breakfast and ended up ordering the meatballs and lasagna. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic!
Lovely little cafe. I had the gravlax salmon and poached egg on toast, and my missus has avocado toast with scrambled egg and they were both delicious. The staff were charming too.
Fiat is my absolute favorite place in NYC. The vibe is lowkey and very chill. The food is incredible, my personal favorites are the broccoli rabe and fresh cavatelli. I also really enjoy the cacio and Pepe, quinoa salad, fusilli pesto, and tiramisu for dessert. The staff is very nice and extremely accommodating, they don’t rush a seating at all and I’ve almost never had trouble getting seated fairly quickly even with larger groups. This place is basically my dining room away from home.
A cute little restaurant and a hidden little treasure. The beet salad was delicious and the pasta was perfect. Prices were reasonable, the last serving us (maybe the owner?) was so good and nice. Would eat here on the regular if we lived there.
Fiat Café is the kind of place that makes you pause small, warm, and effortlessly inviting. Tucked into a quiet corner of Soho, it brings together the charm of a neighborhood café with the comfort of rustic Italian food. The pasta is simple, well-seasoned, and generously portioned nothing overthought, just honest flavors. Their cappuccino? Creamy, balanced, and served with a side of calm that’s hard to find in downtown Manhattan. You don’t come here for the scene you come for the feeling. Fiat has soul, and you can taste it in every bite.
Fiat Cafe was recommended by a local who indicated it was authentic homemade Italian fare reasonably priced. What a great find! The atmosphere is like a small Italian cafe, cutely decorated with Fiat (cars) and fashion/travel magazines. We stayed for a wonderful dinner starting with a fresh bruschetta with lots of garlic, tomatoes, parmesan cheese and olive oil...yum. We then shared two dishes; a cavetelli with broccoli rabe, sausage and more fresh garlic as well as a delicious sauteed chicken in white wine with olives. Service was very friendly, attentive and made great recommend. Too stuffed for dessert, maybe next time.
Visited Fiat Cafe for breakfast. Our server was so personable and accommodating. I ordered a bit off the menu and it was perfection.
Fiat Café is an absolute treasure that never fails to impress. From the moment you step inside, the cozy and welcoming atmosphere wraps you in charm, making you feel at home instantly. The service is impeccable—attentive, friendly, and warm without being intrusive. But the real star of the experience is the food. Every dish is crafted to perfection, bursting with flavor and presented beautifully. Whether you’re savoring their fresh pasta, delicious salads, or decadent desserts, every bite feels like a celebration. If you’re looking for a spot with great vibes, outstanding service, and food that goes beyond amazing, Fiat Café is the place to be. Highly recommended! Overall, I love Fiat Cafe especially the short adorable waitress, Carla.
me and my roommate come here all the time and we absolutely love it here. the food is amazing, the menu is super extensive, and the server Ana is the sweetest human ever. 100000/10
This establishment offers an exceptional dining experience, featuring an exquisite menu of high-quality Italian cuisine. The refreshing beverages provided are also of exceptional quality. The servers are exceptionally courteous and attentive to their customers.
Stopped in here the other day on the recommendation from a friend and it was a great choice! I had the linguini with clams, bacon, and breadcrumbs and it was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had! The resturant is nicely decorated and it’s a cozy atmosphere inside. It was also very reasonably priced compared to other Italian restaurants in NYC. Would recommend if you are in the area!
Stopped in here for lunch. Very clean, beautiful, and quiet. Owner was lovely. Meatball marinara & avocado chicken panini 10/10.
Extensive menu here and everything is tasty. You’re not gonna find better prices in this neighborhood, especially for the large portions you get. Just make sure you have cash on hand if you’re dining in. I see it as more of a brunch/lunch spot, since my go-to’s are the salads and the paninis. But it’s the service that really brings it up to 5 stars. The waitress is incredibly warm and friendly.
Love this place, its nice and quaint that serves really good food and coffee. The staff are nice and polite. This cafe is cash only but they do have an atm in the basement. Came here when it was cold and chilly, I would have loved to seat at their sidewalk table on a lovely warm sunny day.
We had dinner with some friends Wednesday, and we absolutely loved it.The food was delicious, every dish full of flavor, we had the Carbonara, chicken cutlets, the rigatoni with sausage was to die for. Our waitress was so lovely and super friendly, she gave us the best recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!
“An Italian Restaurant with a French accent”… an apt description of this cozy little cafe in SoHo serving up the best of both worlds — classical Italian dishes AND all your favorite cafe brunch dishes! They are open for all three meals, so we had to try a little bit of everything on our first time here! The pasta and paninis were so fresh! 🍝 Here were our menu highlights: 🥪 GRILLED CHICKEN W/ AVOCADO, ARUGULA, ASIAGO CHEESE AND ROASTED TOMATOES VINAIGRETTE ON CIABATTA BREAD 🥓 LINGUINI FINI PASTA W/BABY CLAMS, PANCETTA, GARLIC 🥦 FRESH CAVATELLI W /BROCCOLI DI RABE AND HARD RICOTTA 🍝 Penne Gorgonzola 🍰 Tiramisu ☕️ Coffee Panna Cotta
Wow wow wow!!! Simply divine Italian food. We got the prosciutto with melon and mint to share. He got the Chianti, I got the Spritz. The carbonara was TO DIE for. The perfect amount of pancetta in it. The service was lovely! Great prices and a very quiet area so you didn’t feel crowded. Can’t wait to come back to try dessert!
Food is always good when I’m come here. Sat outside on a nice sunny day. The carbonara is so good and enough for 2 unless your really hungry. It’s vey hearty. We also had the vegetable panini as was perfect. Toasted 👌🏽. Also comes with a nice mixed green salad. I would recommend this place any day.
I stumbled upon Fiat Cafe NYC on social media and Instagram, and I'm so glad I did! Their video reels caught my attention, and since it was conveniently located near my apartment, I had to try it out. And boy, am I glad I did. Their pasta dishes are absolute delicious. already recommended Fiat Cafe to friends, and I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious offerings. Five stars and highly recommended
So cute and the food was yummy! I had the roasted veggie panini with goat cheese and pesto. I was there to try their breakfast but the panini looked too good, and proven correct. Definitely would go back. It’s quaint and charming. Wasn’t busy when I came on so I was able to sit and journal but it started getting busy! FYI cash only. They do have an atm downstairs.
We are here on a weekend trip to New York City. The place is small and cozy. The waitress was friendly and was a true Italian host! We got bruschetta which was fresh and delicious. My wife got the penne with vodka sauce which was phenomenal. I got a rigatoni with a ragu and it was delicious. This is a very nice small neighborhood spot that is worth supporting.
We ordered the french toast and ricotta ravioli to try a brunch and pasta item. Really wonderful meal. The french toast was very tasty (loved the bread) and the ravioli had a citrus-y and vinegar flavor that was super delicious. The waiter gave us a basket of bread to eat up the sauce after we saw me scooping up the sauce with a fork after finishing the ravioli. The best part is the very reasonable price (though it is cash only). Cute small shop, definitely coming back to try the pasta specials.
Came here for a late breakfast and really enjoyed everything about this place. Service was friendly, atmosphere is super cute, food was amazing, and coffee was good too. Got the scrambled eggs sandwich and then gravlox & poached egg toast. Both came with a little side salad which wasn’t stated on the menu so it was a nice surprise. They also have magazines along the wall so you can do some reading! Would recommend and will be back! Merci!
This brunch spot hidden in Little Italy/NoHo is super cute and affordable, tucked away from the bustle of the nearby more touristy neighborhoods. I'm obsessed with the complimentary dessert that comes with a Yelp Check-In: the coffee panna cotta is so light and the sweetness, coffee flavor, and smooth texture really resembles that of a flan. It's also super jiggly and bouncy, which makes it all the more fun to eat! Their prices are also incredibly affordable especially for brunch, but note: it's a CASH ONLY establishment, though there is an ATM downstairs. I've had their Eggs Benedict with salmon before and really recommend! The poached eggs were delicious and the yolk was runny, just like I like it and the side of greens also balanced the saltiness of the salmon. I haven't had the chance to try their pastas yet, but I look forward to coming back with friends!
I’m on vacation with my family and we are so happy to have stumbled upon Fiat Cafe! My daughters loved the French toast and the fluffy pancakes. My husband’s omelette with spinach and goat cheese was to die for. The oatmeal was outstanding, I was very pleased to have found a restaurant that serves oatmeal. I had high expectations and they were met! The service was phenomenal. I was so happy to be able to sit and enjoy my time with my family without feeling rushed.
Started with coffee and ended with desserts with all that pasta etc in between. Loved the food, the staff was charming and friendly and suggested when asked. It is great to see Fiat car ambience when hardly anybody drives a fiat in USA. I love brand Fiat since I was a kid and have many memories of it. I would come back again here.
Fiat Cafe was a real winner — full 5 stars! The food was delicious: perfectly fluffy pancakes, rich avocado toast, flavorful eggs Benedict, and strong coffee that hit the spot. Everything felt fresh and well-made. Service was friendly and quick — staff were welcoming and attentive. Atmosphere is charming and relaxed: bright, modern café vibe with comfy seating and a nice neighborhood feel. Perfect for a casual brunch or coffee break. Highly recommend!
Fiat Café feels less like a restaurant and more like a second living room you didn’t know you needed. There’s something effortlessly comforting about the space — the easy chatter, the cozy setting, and a team that greets you like an old friend instead of just another table. I always gravitate toward the same breakfast: French toast, soft scrambled eggs, and bacon. It’s simple, but it’s done with such care. The eggs are silky and delicate, the bacon perfectly crisp, and the French toast hits that nostalgic, not-too-sweet sweet spot. It’s the kind of plate that resets your whole day. What makes it special, though, is that the magic doesn’t stop at breakfast. Lunch and dinner carry that same soulful, satisfying quality. It’s reliable, heartfelt, and consistently excellent — a true hidden gem.
Stopped by Fiat Cafe in Nolita and everything felt so cozy and comforting. The pizza fritta was light and delicious, the calamari was crispy, the pappardelle hit like always, and the NY steak was cooked just right. The staff was also so sweet, which made the whole place feel even cozier. Definitely one of those spots you can relax in and enjoy good food.
Casual, comfortable, Italian cafe in soho. The spicy margarita mocktail outstanding. Everything in a cocktail minus the liquor. The calamari amazing. Light, corn meal, fresh seasoned well. Country bread was good. Nice hard crusty bread. The fresh cavetelli pasta with broccoli rabe and spicy sausage nice. Seafood pasta with ref sauce fresh and yummy.
I had a family reunion there. Catching up with all of my cousins who live in NYC. Chelsea was a delight in service, she was really personable, sweet and authentic. The food tasted very homely all the while having beautiful presentation and rich flavor. I love how they give you parmesan and chili shakers to top up as you please, felt like a home dinner (great for the reunion).
Beautiful, cozy and great place to have breakfast or lunch, either in family or alone. Food and service is great. The waitress made really good recommendations for food and coffee for breakfast. I will definitely come back to this place once I'm in NYC again. Remember to bring cash, they don't accept cards, but they have ATM in the basement if you need to take cash.
Wow! Pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant! We ordered the pasta with meatballs; which is good. But if you like vegetables, the broccoli rabe and mushroom garlic pasta is absolutely amazing. The seating on a weekend afternoon is tight. Real tight. But it’s a small cafe, what’re you gonna do 🤷🏻♂️ best for a party of two. Food is amazing though! Glad we stopped by!
The food is great. My family and I had a wonderful experience for lunch. The place is small so it's good to ask if they take reservations in advance. The staff is friendly and they take care of every detail. Price is fair and individual portions are well served. Will come back and I do recommend it even if you are not in the Soho area.
I had the BEST CAPPUCCINO OF MY LIFE!! The coffee was so delicious and perfect, plus it didn’t need any sugar!!! Please visit this cute cafe for their amazing service, food and atmosphere! My friend ordered a mushroom omelette and that was fantastic as-well. It’s Cash Only but they have ATM downstairs in the cafe! 11/10 highly recommend
A beautiful brunch place in Little Italy. The customer service is excellent and the owner of the cafe is so friendly. I tried scrambled egg sandwich and Eggs florentine. Every bite of the food was delicious. Undoubtedly, they have great coffee too. They are cash only and have an ATM inside. Overall, an amazing experience, unique interior and great vibe. I am definitely visiting this place again when I am in NYC.
It was hard to decide a place to eat while my staying at Little Italy, after walking around the blocks I decided about Fiat Café. I was craving for a simple spaghetti dish! Was kinda of apprehensive because this places was empty compared to all the others places around. No regrets about choosing this place. Sangria was very tasteful and the spaghetti was exactly what I was craving for. Staff was friendly and service fast! The only bad thing about it is only gets cash.
Wonderful tiny location with excellent service. Great food..thats key...lots of options...only wish was slightly thicker sauces. Meatballs were tasty but didn't seem home made. Sauce and Bread were phenomenal!. Started with cheese plate and it was excellent with a variety of good cheeses. Gnocchi seems a touch doughy, but was full of flavor with the sauce. I skipped the eggplant as it's not my favorite, but my din er date said it was amazing and finished it all. Wine was affordable and of decent quality. Very affordable which is a change for the area. We will go back...but keep in mind its Cash Only! Atm downstairs by the single bathroom
We had a very nice breakfast here during our visit to NY. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and filling (never had pineapple on pancakes before but it worked!). It was a bit quirky having to descend the stairs to the basement to withdraw money from the ATM so I could to pay the bill (they didn’t take cards) but overall it was a good spot for some brekkie and coffee 😀
CASH ONLY! Was not clearly marked anywhere so wanted to come on here to make people aware, as we were not. Food came quick and was reasonably priced. Vodka sauce was more of a blushing alfredo. Portion sizes were appropriate. It was a very underwhelming experience, besides the brown butter ravioli which had an amazing sauce, filled with a strong botanicality of the sage, which was very fresh. The service was very slow, and our glasses were constantly empty. The alcoholic beverages, despite being amicably priced, were very small. I’m not sure if we will be back, but if you’re looking for affordable basic italian food, and have cash, this is a good spot for you.
Was ok - a bit of a letdown coming from the San Gennaro festival. Portions ok, but marinara (they called it tomato sauce, and I'd have to agree) was like eating tomato puree out of a can - *so* acidic! Put a teaspoon of sugar in the sauce to balance it! Had to bring my spaghetti and meatballs home, rince the sauce off, and put my own sauce on the spaghetti - the first bite in the restaurant made my stomach ache a bit and the reflux followed immediately. Meatballs were *very dense* (mixed too long before cooking,) but were tasty. My friemd had the rigatoni and he enjoyed it.
Pretty good cafe. The calamari appetizer was delicious, but the cacio pepe was good, not great, as were the chocolate mousse and tiramisu desserts. We sat outside, so the waitress seemed to forget us for extended periods of time, and it was hard to get a hold of her; polite, but not the most attentive. It’s a pretty good restaurant that’s a bit on the pricier side, but it’s not bad by any means.
Everything good, but 2-3 stars for the service because it's not possible to pay by card. That was a negative surpise at the end of our good lunch. It's marked on the whiteboard but still these days in mid NY a restaurant should allow customers to pay by card.
My friends and I were excited to try a spot in Little Italy and ended up choosing Fiat Cafe because the outdoor patio looked inviting. Unfortunately, that was the best part of the experience. The service was basically non-existent — we had to flag someone down to place an order. Still, we were hungry, so we stayed. The food was underwhelming across the board. The calamari tasted off, possibly due to old frying oil. Our pasta dishes were bland and lacked anything special. Really disappointed this was our first experience in Little Italy — definitely wish we had chosen a different restaurant.
This place is cash only, which is odd for entering into 2026 for something that wants to be a restaurant. To be honest, the portions were pretty small for the price. We didn’t feel it was a great value. We literally walked to Chinatown to get something else after we left. And while the restaurant is small and cozy, it’s also more of a diner vibe with paper napkins. In terms of service we had to pour our own water and it was cash only. We are not planning to go back. It didn’t feel like a restaurant. Also, we don’t know it was cash. And we’re told, “cash only. it’s on the menu. ATM is downstairs (or wherever).” It’s almost 2026 and credit cards should really be accepted. And to start the suggested tip at 18% is a bit much given the lack of service.
Had the rigatoni bolognese and was left underwhelmed. It kinda just tasted like nothing? I liked the outdoor seating but other than that, I wasn’t a huge fan of the spot. Restaurant is cash only and they already add a 20% tip towards our party of 5. I don’t know if the service was that great, but it’s NYC, so I expected to pay up. I’m not sure anything else was really that great from my friends, but worth a shot
We had brunch. The food was disappointing- nothing special. One person at our table ordered oatmeal and it was completely tasteless so she exchanged for pancakes. It’s cute, cozy, but make sure in the winter you’re not by the door if you can.
We have been there a few times and brought many friends there. Past experiences were good. Food was good and service too. But today, I am really disappointed. No bread served. The salmon with arugula is really really salty. Clam with linguine is flat. If you mix those two dishes together might be perfect. The meat ball with spaghetti is ok, no surprise. The quality of food is not as good as pre-pandemic. I think they have a new chef. The waitress is too busy with other tables and never gets a chance to check on you. I would not bring my friends there, at least not now.
Hostess was rude to me for having a service dog so I left even though we had a reservation stating we had a service dog in the party. I told my friends to stay since it was the day before the NYC marathon and it’d be hard to find another reservation. In the minute I left, the hostess told my friends they couldn’t sit there anymore and that she gave the table away. She was continuously rude to my friends until a waitress took over and apologized.
Paid fifteen dollars for an oatmeal at Fiat in Nolita after they told me it would take five minutes. I waited fifteen minutes, they forgot my order, and when I finally got it the oatmeal looked sloppy and even had onion in it, like they used the same knife for everything. They also did not include anything to sweeten it. For a place charging premium prices, this was really disappointing.
I order online to pick up and it was ready in 5 minutes. No way they cooked the pasta at the moment, probably they have the pasta ready in advance and just throw it into a plate. The pasta was overcooked, the sauce was just poured over the pasta instead of properly mixed in the pan and the meatballs feel just like frozen meatballs from Costco.
