Santo Taco Albee Square Reviews
Small, quaint but also vibey interior. Not crowded at all on a Friday afternoon. Staff were friendly and courteous. Carnitas taco and steak trompo were so good we got a second portion. Pickled onions and cicharrones on the side were a great touch by the sauce bar. Sauces were very good too. Great with the touch of lime on top.
Wow….pure deliciousness. So satisfying, so flavorful, so tender. I indulged in the steak, carne asada, chicken and zucchini tacos (not pictured)….and i’d do it again! The chips and guac were fab. Don’t pass this place up! Vanessa in the front is an angel. Overall, wonderful experience.
I visited Santa Taco for lunch and this was my second time there and once again, it was an absolutely amazing experience. I tried four tacos: pork, steak, mushrooms, and chicken. Each taco was dressed differently, which really made every bite unique and exciting. Every single one was incredibly flavorful and delicious. In my opinion, this place serves some of the best tacos in New York City. On top of that, the employees are extremely friendly and welcoming. I absolutely love this spot and will definitely be coming back again.
The tacos here were quite delicious. The trompo tacos, in particular, were amazing. The service and atmosphere were also pleasant, and it was not crowded during our visit. We also sampled the asada and zucchini tacos, which were enjoyable, but the trompo remained my personal favorite. This establishment certainly deserves greater recognition.
Being from California finding good tacos in New York City is pretty tough. I did come across a tacos list on TikTok, which is where I saw this place and it’s right next to my work so I knew I had to try it. It always looks delicious when you walk by always busy. I walked by after work and got two tacos. I got the mushroom and the chicken. These were my second choices, but I was trying not to eat steak or pork. I’ll say the mushroom was good. It was very simple for six dollars. I enjoyed the flavor, but it just felt plain the chicken however, was delicious. All in all, I still love both the tacos. I love the spot I inhaled them I ate them so fast. I will be going back to try the other tacos.
While slightly expensive, the steak taco is really good and the quality of the ingredients are great too. Just a small menu so the food comes out really fast. There’s quite a few tables available and the turnover is quite quick so it’s easy to get a table. Their drinks are also very refreshing and great for a summer day.
Our meal at Santo Taco was delicious. The flavor of the tortillas stood out, they’re truly exceptional. The mushroom taco was a standout, packed with rich, savory flavor. Don’t skip the Agua Santa it’s a must-try! And to top it all off, end your meal with the cookie. trust me, you won’t regret it.
I went by to try this new taco spot and I was very impressed with how amazing and delicious the tacos was. I tried the chicken and the steak and they were both incredible and delicious. The owner is very cool and down to earth. The environment is great. Awesome vibes and all round epic. The menu is small the qualities and flavours are so worth checking out.
I’ve been to Santo Taco a couple of times now, and every taco I’ve tried has been spot on. The one you have to get is their Mexico City–style steak trompo—thinly sliced, perfectly seasoned steak on a fresh tortilla. So good!! That said, it does feel a bit pricey for what it is, and I’d skip the guac—the portion is almost laughably small. Still, it’s a decent spot for a quick, easy, and tasty lunch when you’re in Nolita.
I stopped in for a quick taco and enjoyed the fresh ingredients. Definitely one of the better spots in the city but portions are smaller than standards like Los tacos no 1. I tried the carne asada and washed it down with agua santa (blend of pineapple, cucumber, lime and palo santo). I definitely want to come back and try the other offerings sometime.
