At Caffé Roma, we've been serving up a taste of Italy since 1891, just like our beloved gelato and Italian treats. Our quaint bakery has become a staple in Soglio's culinary scene, where the aroma of freshly baked goods wafts through the air, enticing passersby to come and indulge. We're proud to offer housemade gelato made with love and care, just like Nonna used to make. Our cozy atmosphere invites you to linger over a cup of expertly brewed coffee or a slice of our signature cannoli, where the soft shell gives way to creamy goodness.

Caffé Roma Soglio Reviews
We fell in love with this place. The drinks were delicious, we ordered a caramel cappuccino, a hot chocolate and a regular cappuccino. The drinks were smooth, foamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. We also ordered a tiramisu and it left us speechless, the flavor was delicious, you can tell it is made in the original way. The place is old and decorated in the same way, it transports you to the past and makes you really feel the connection to the moment, to the people around you. It is incredibly beautiful. The service was very average, not bad, we will definitely be back.
I recently had the chance to enjoy my coffee at Caffe Roma, and it’s got that timeless, vintage charm. The clients are a mix of all generations, creating a lively atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming! I ordered a double espresso with whipped cream, while my sisters chose cappuccino. We couldn’t resist sharing a delicious tiramisu that was absolutely divine!
4/14/2023, Friday: A historic cafe with excellent cookies and pastries (and I'm sure fine gelato and coffee & tea) founded year 1891 on the corner of Mulberry St and Broome St in Little Italy. I tried the dark chocolate covered cannolis, which are considered among the best in NYC, and they were authentic and delicious and hold to their reputation. The inside decor is very historic and elegant, especially compared to new contemporary cafes. All of the Italian pastries and biscotti are very well organized and labeled, and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. A great place to stop by in Little Italy near Soho, Chinatown, and the LES.
Stopped here to warm up and get a drink and snack later at night during a snowstorm. It was a nice ambience wirh a lot of original features (they have been in business since 1891!) Service was polite, the owner seemed to be working, too, and offered us refills of water. Rhw pistachio cannoli was decent, although the shell was not as crispy as expected, maybe because we got it later at night. Would recommend trying it out for a quick treat. We didn't get the Gelato, bit the table next to us did and it looked amazing!
Walked in while strolling through Little Italy. Great corner location. I ordered a tiramisu to go and it was packaged so lovely by hand by the young man behind the counter. The tiramisu was delicious, alcohol-free and the lady fingers tasted fresh and still spongy. Soo lovely and I ate the tiramisu on the way home. Loved it.
Caffé Roma has an old-school charm and is a great spot to unwind with a drink. We had a pistachio cannoli that was unfortunately a bit stale, but the rich chocolate cake made up for it. The Prosecco was crisp and refreshing, and the atmosphere was cozy — a nice place to relax after walking through Little Italy.
There is nothing more lovely than stopping at the local cafe for a good conversation accompanied with some espresso and gelato. This spot does the job really nicely. Of course, this is NYC and places like these tend to cater almost exclusively to tourists, so if you’re visiting and you want the tourist New York experience this place is for you. I am not really the kind of person who would write a whole thing about which cannolo is best but the ones I’ve had here was really nice and I guess did the job at tasting like cannoli. The coffee is delicious, stop by. Don’t expect great service during waves of tourism, on down times, definitely expect it.
Nice ambiance and vibe to the place, the decor seems pretty authentic. The people running the Caffe were extremely welcoming and friendly. We ordered a cannoli, which was good, and a chocolate mousse cheesecake, which was really excellent. The hot chocolate was also lovely. The downside was the price, which made it slightly less value for money, otherwise it would've been a 5 star experience.
