What Customers Say About Bevacco
Bevacco is a well-regarded spot in Albee Square, known for its great ambiance, friendly staff (especially bartenders like Seshank and servers like Liam), and delicious food. The lasagna and gnocchi are highly recommended, though some found the squid ink pasta disappointing.

Bevacco Albee Square Reviews
Just went for a drink, it was really good though. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food looked great that they were serving, would definitely go back for another drink and good service or to actually try the food.
Love this restaurant, I'm a local and it's my favorite spot. Great service and food.
The restaurant was not crowded at all. I ordered pizza, and it was wonderful. Our waitress provided a great service. I was satisfied with everything.
I have had pasta bolonaise and eggplant parmasan a million times, all over the country, and even in Rome, but never this good. Our dinners today at Bevacco raised the bar significantly. How lucky you locals are to have this restaurant nearby.
What a treat! Best meal I've had this year. The roast duck was perfect. I have to mention the tiramisu. I've tried them everywhere. This may have been the best.
My date and I were beyond satisfied. The chefs, the mixologist and our servers were all so wonderful, caring and omg the food was delicious! This place is like finding a jewel on the beach 💎
Don't bother with the huge queues under the bridge for good pizza-walk a couple of blocks and come here. Quiet, quick and clean. The pizzas were amazing and the prices reasonable. Will make this a regular haunt prior to walking the bridge
A pleasant surprise: the warning signs of an empty house and substantial prices were belied by excellent food and friendly service. Standouts: grilled octopus salad, short-rib bolognese, pizza with mushrooms and truffle oil..
Delicious Italian food and tasty drinks at very reasonable prices. Staff is friendly and even the regulars are cool. Lisa is the best bartender ever
Food is great service wonderful Just wish they had a larger menu so I could have more great dishes to choose from
Nice gem just a little outside of the hustle and bustle of Brooklyn Heights. Meal: Squid Spaghetti and Duck Carbonara Dessert: cheesecake Squid Spaghetti: - pasta was cooked al dente - flavourful, light and a little spicy which adds depth to the dish - hint of citrus - good portion Duck Carbonara: - bold flavours - thick and creamy - not too salty - which is sometimes a downfall to duck dishes - overall a wonderful dish **the dish is heavy so if you’re looking for light, don’t choose this Dessert: - cheesecake: amazing! Not too heavy, not too cheesy - just perfect!
This is the best place I’ve had dinner at in a while. Amazing food and service, and a quiet, pleasant atmosphere. Decor is stylish and Brooklyn. Love it.
Good looking place. Nice bistro setting in a nice part of Brooklyn. The staff is nice and helpful. Very simple yet tasty menu. All made in-house and very fresh. Prices are reasonable. Will be back again no doubt.
Delicious drinks. Fantastic pizza. Amazing pasta. Their parmesan brulee appetizer is a favorite of mine. Try the Morning Glory cocktail if you're into a boozy spritzer. Love this place! A real neighborhood gem. Their side bar is the best around as well. These people know how to run a place!
A really cute place! Surprisingly not busy Saturday night. Their menu is the pricier side but 100% worth it. Will be back!
The little Italian haunt of my dreams! This place is perfect! Delicious food, great cocktails, beautifully decorated. The chef clearly uses fresh, quality ingredients. It’s perfect!
DELICIOUS. The food was fabulous (especially the octopus and kale starters) and the service was super nice. The drinks menu was great too. We were surprised at how few people were there on a Sunday night for how nice the ambiance was and how wonderful the food. I highly recommend.
genuinely incredible service. quiet, intimate interior. delicious food. perfect negroni. what more could i ask for? try the eggplant parmesan, beet ravioli, cacio e pepe.
I can't remember the last time that I enjoyed a restaurant as much as I did Bevacco. The food was delicious and not over-priced. The service was outstanding. And, imagine this, there wasn't a single television. Our original destination was another restaurant on the same block which was very highly rated; however, that one was insanely crowded and had an hour wait time. So, we went to Bevacco as it was close by and were all so grateful for the disappointment turned to great fortune! I wish that I could give Bevacco more stars.
Nice location. Attentive, friendly service. Superb Spaghetti al Limone and the best eggplant parmesan I've ever had -- at least 7 layers of very thin, lightly breaded eggplant in a light tomato sauce with a nice, thin crust of toasty mozzarella.
Had some very tasty drinks before walking the Brooklyn bridge. The staff is friendly. But the prices were unexpected...i guess that's why they aren't on the menu.my first car experience in New York.
If you want to have the real taste of the real Italian food you must go here. I am Italian and OMG the food is so delicious as when I go back to italy. My husband and I went for a walk around that neighborhood and stopped there just to have a beer, when we saw the menu we wanted to try the pizza and it was a surprise how good it was, the dough was perfect the mozzarella and tomato fresh and delicious. We ended up to have dinner there, we ordered the burrata it was out of this world, the home made pasta I cannot even start to tell you how good it was. The staff is amazing, Simona is lovely and very friendly, we really felt like we were in Italy. We promised to go back and try other things from the menu, especially that they said that starting next week they will have new dishes. Cannot wait to taste :-) Grazie mille Simona, ci vedremo presto 🥰🥰🥰
Great and friendly service!! We love Bevacco for delish, local Italian. The team is so friendly and always accommodating :)
Here for late lunch. I rarely review anything. But had the lentil soup and eggplant parmigiana which were marvelous. Although service was “leisurely” deserved 5 stars for the food.
Steve Flynn executive chef came out to see us and provide recommendations for menu choices. Our party of 3 had different dishes and everything was outstanding. Very creative combinations! Loved it. Thank you Steve and Bevacco!
We had a great time at Bevacco for dinner on Friday night. Our waiter, Rogelio, was very friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. We can’t wait to come back.
We were there last year during Thanksgiving week . We flew in from Texas to visit my brother. There was a little wait on the food, but it was well worth it. The food and service was great. Thank you. When we go back ,we will drop in again.
Amazing service! Great food and drinks - we just loved the lasagna and the spaghetti limoncelo. Cozy place. You will not regret it.
Great restaurant. Friendly vibe. High quality food and drinks. Desserts are really tasty and filling. Service is on point. Can't go wrong with Bevacco. Easy to get to from lower Manhattan or downtown Brooklyn. Price point $$$ of 5.
We went here after my cousins graduation. Every dish we ordered was very tasty (except the risotto, which was a bit over cooked and not very flavorful). Our two favorite dishes were the appetizer with the fried shrimp and calamari, and the black pepper pasta. Our waitress was delightful and very accommodating! Will def be back!
New favorite restaurant close to home. The staff are awesome, the cocktails are creative, the music is super relaxing and the food is cooked to perfection. Waitresses are amazingly quick and friendly and professional - TIP THEM!!! And to boot, the entire experience is somehow quicker, tastier, and CHEAPER than the typical New York Italian restaurant experience. Could not be more content <3
We love this restaurant. It’s just exactly what we need. Quiet, delicious beautiful lighting. A great spot.
Love this place! It’s a cute, neighborhood spot with great food and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. I’m surprised this place isn’t busier! If you’re in the neighborhood, it’s a solid place to grab dinner or a drink. Were planning on making it a weekly tradition!
It's a beautiful place perfect lighting, I love the rustic look... Excellent food! Amazing staff, I just cant get enough of this restaurant. The grilled octopus is a must try, and if you love pizza try the housemade pork sausage pizza. Oooooh and the fried calamari is the first thing you need to order when you sit down
My wife and I love this place so much we had our rehearsal dinner there. For our dinner, the chef made a delicious butternut squash lasagna that our parents are still talking about months later (not on the regular menu, however). We love the carciofi pizza, but also enjoy many of the other pasta dishes. They have the best olives as an appetizer. My wife enjoys the Violet Femme cocktail, and they have a decent wine and beer selection. We're never disappointed, and the service is consistently above par.
Four of us got in with a last minute reservation on a Saturday night. A little surprised that they had space based on how good the food was. Started by sharing very good arancini and the Parmesan Crème Brûlée—amazing, don’t miss that! Cacio e Pepe was delicious, fresh and just-right level of al dente. I highly recommend Bevacco
Excellent Resturant Although I think they might have either changed the chief or the recipes from last year, but still good.
Love the drinks here! If you fancy a cocktail before heading out, this is a great place to go. There’s a ton of options and new things to try and they’re well balanced. Food is pretty solid as well
We had spinach ravioli and eggplant parmesan for dinner and loved every bite. Also great salads and drinks and excellent deserts. Would definitely come again.
We enjoyed every single dish!Food is very frwsh, the place is clean. All dishes are delicious ,amazing big portion lazagna,Bianca pizza, pumpkin soup, server Rugelio was so pleasant and helpful, knew about dishes, answered all questions,it is nice, quiet place, romantic, also, where you can enjoy conversation, defenitely worth trying🌸❤️❤️
I wasn’t sure as there’s only one review from 8 years ago, but came with a friend and the server told me they had both gluten free pasta and gf pizza to offer! We ended up sharing a steak and veggies but I will definitely be back for the main event soon 😋. This place has such a nice vibe, and staff were so friendly 🙌🏼
I love it here - it’s cute/decorated classy. it’s brunch- it’s good dinner & the wait staff have always been friendly They make housemade Focaccia when I knew of the spot & when I returned they even have some of the same staff like after decade + of being open and surviving covid. I love the staff because I was one forever ago They used fresh basil - Italian spot no fresh basil would be a sin. Fennel radicchio salad is great!
We had an amazing dinner. The restaurant has great ambiance and not loud. The service was great and the food was delicious and menu had awesome variety of food for everyone to find something they loved. We enjoyed our night and never felt rushed or hurried out. Would highly recommend. I look forward to coming back.
Found Bevacco totally by accident while looking for dinner, thought the vibe looked cool, and I am so glad I walked in. One of those rare random finds that actually lives up to the hype. The food and drinks were so good. The gnocchi deserves its own shoutout. Hands down the best gnocchi I have had in NYC. Perfectly pillowy, rich, and comforting without being heavy. I would go back for that dish alone. We tried a few different cocktails and every single one hit. Well balanced, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Nothing felt phoned in. Great energy, great food, great drinks. Bevacco is officially on my Brooklyn favorites list. Highly recommend. 🍝🍸
Me and friends stumbled upon this place on Friday night because our other option had a two hour wait. Let me tell you the food, drink and service was phenomenal. 10/10 I will be coming back! Every dish is packed with flavor. Liam our server was great and checked on us multiple times. Serrano was amazing as well and kept our table impecable ✨
Surprisingly inventive Italian cuisine (try Parmigiano creme brulee) in a sexy dim-lit ambiance. Great prosecco and only $12-13, good cocktails and wines selection. My mom's pizza (zucchini and pesto) was so much beyond expectations that we took another one to go too. I liked that you could order a half of buratta ball. Service was great.
I came here for an after wedding dinner. As soon as you walk in the bartender at the bar greets you with a friendly welcome. You’re seated faster than most places. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night. The lighting is not too bright and the music is not too loud so you can actually hear who you’re talking to. I had the linguine with fresh clams. The pasta was cooked to a tender texture. Personally, I prefer a little bit more flavor to my food so I had to sprinkle on some salt and pepper. The desserts are delicious and provide a nice ending to your meal. Overall, it was a great experience not taking into account our waiter repeatedly asking us if we wanted to purchase a bottle… Like three times to be exact.. All good.. I still recommend this spot.👍🏼
What an awesome restaurant. It’s a bit away from the tourist traps off the Brooklyn bridge but is a short walk from the bridge and the food was great. The cocktails were awesome. Seshank, the bar tender had a magic touch and every drink we tried was just perfect. Definitely coming back here again.
New Date: June 27th, 2019- Well here we go again, back at our favorite place celebrating my best friends brand new chapter in life - 30 years old. When we decided to go back we said we would get the same dishes we ordered last time - Salmon and Clam linguini because they were absolutely delicious. Then I saw the Chicken Piccata and couldn't help myself, had to try something new ::insert mind blown GIF:: Little did I know the chicken picacata would turn into my new favorite dish here. The chicken was beautifully laid on a bed of greens, potatoes and a mouth watering lemon / caper sauce. That sauce was so good, not one drip of it was left behind. Only reason I didn't pick the plate up, put it to my face to lick the rest of the sauce is because I actually have some table manners. Lol The clam linguini was just as good this time as it was the last. This place never lets me down. The service is good and chill. Great location just minutes away from the Dumbo water front.
Last night my boo treated me to dindin here. It's a small place with a U-shaped bar at the center of the room and seating all around the wall's edges. To the rear on the left as you walk in is the access to and from the kitchen, storage, and bathroom areas. We had a reservation for 5:45pm (a tad early as we had an event later that evening). There was barely anyone there, as far as eaters go. Our server was kind and possibly bored, so we got great service, especially with water refills. :) We got to sit at the rear right corner, which was really nice because I love sitting next to my boo vs. across from him. :) We ordered a starter and two entrees. The starter was the "Parmesan crème brulee, balsamic reduction, grilled sourdough." It was really tasty. They also brought out small bread pieces with olive oil to dip as part of the gratis. Both were delicious. We dipped our sourdoughs into the parmesan creme brulee, but there was plenty more cheese left over, which we then dipped the scrumptious small bread pieces into. It might be wiser to spread it on your bread slices instead. My boo had the "Roasted duck breast, fingerling potatoes, kale, blueberries, pistachios." He ate every last bite. It looked and smelled good. I didn't try any of the duck because he ordered Medium instead of Well, so perhaps another time I'll revisit to try it a different way. I got the "Organic salmon, roasted radicchio, fennel, orange, almonds, shallot vinaigrette." The salmon was tasty along with the orange bits. The roasted radicchio was too bitter and salty for my taste-buds! The fennel was pretty good and the skin of the salmon was on top of the fish -- I recommend you (the customer) move the orange bits away, peel off the layer of the skin (very fishy) and then mix and mingle the fish with the orange bits. There were barely any almonds on my dish (I only saw 2 almond slices), so it's a bit tricky for me to comment on that tidbit. When we started to finish up our meals, the space became more and more occupied by clientele. We looked at the dessert menu. There were some eye catchers, but we didn't order anything. We got the tab fairly quickly upon request, and it was paid via cc and we didn't have a long wait for the return of the check! Happy eats!
Great cocktails and extremely friendly service. Bartenders were helpful in choosing a drink and made us feel very welcome. The "backflip" is an excellent drink.
Interesting location, it manages to look empty from the street. Inside it is a nice restaurant, bigger than your typical New York restaurant and as a result, somewhat lacking in charm. Bevacco is an Italian restaurant which makes a effort to suit the 'brunch' crowd, with an 'Italian' twist on the typical American crowd, e.g., a panini and burger hybrid. I tried lasagna and it was ok, smaller than I expected and in no way exemplary. My beer was good, and my dining companion and everyone else in the restaurant seemed to have enough food. I think I made a bad choice.
What a lovely surprise to walk inside this tasty treat of a bistro! Warm, inviting decor and staff; cozy table with candle light, and the best surprises last: a scrumptious frisee salad with garden veggies, toasted pistachios and vinaigrette, followed by an equally delicious pasta with a three-meat Bolognese, fresh parmesan and cracked pepper, and an out-of-this world apple pastry desert with homemade whipped cream. I'd remember more details about the meal if my eyes weren't rolled back in my head.
The food was good and it was nice dimly lit and quiet place. Everything was smooth until the end. We waited for about 25 mins to get the check and had to ask 3 times.
A super cute place that embodies Brooklyn Heights so well. The menu was great all around and the dim lighting made for a wonderful little impromptu date night. Both the pizza and pasta were really well cooked and a great serving sizes to make sure you walk up full. The owner (?) was a great waiter, and busted my balls on more than one occasion, which we loved but can understand how someone wanting to enjoy a quiet evening may not take too kindly to. Overall a nice italian spot!
It's loud in here. I wonder sometimes how restaurants choose the finishings to the room. This place is very raucous and I have to think it was intentional. If you are looking for a quiet place, this place is not it. However, if you're looking for a place in Brooklyn Heights where you can get reasonably priced, well executed and tasty food which to me is not that common in Brooklyn Heights this is a good spot. we had the sausage pizza, the fried calamari, the grilled asparagus, and the Beet and grapefruit salad. The service was swift, the food came out fast. It's a shame about the Acoustics because it's too loud for me. But it's a good restaurant.
We stopped for a light supper at Bevacco on Henry Street on our way to the Clark Street subway station from a Happy Hour. We ate a Burrata Pizza and a Kale Salad. Our food was very good to excellent. We were especially happy with Burrata on our pizza. We were delighted with Bevacco's service. Our servers made us feel like regulars despite this being our first visit. Our table outside was very pleasant. We would go back.
Bit overrated in my opinion. Appetizers are better than the entres. They have this great meatball appetizer I recommend getting 2 of those as a meal. Otherwise stick to the pizza. They also have a parmesan cremebrule which sounds weird but is really amazing and unique. Service has been hit or miss. Last time I went it took forever to get our food ordered but it was because other customers were being super difficult, our waiter had to explain the whole menu to this Karen before she could take our order. I just think they got busier than they expected, not a big deal. It's then kind of place where the bill can get very large if you want to drink. Otherwise the atmosphere of the dining room and bathroom are really chill. They have this kind of blonde concrete aesthetic going on that is such a mood.
SUCCESSFUL PURCHASE 🤑 If you’re wondering if Bevacco is a camera store, you’d be wondering about the wrong things. Well, now that I think about it, you’d be wondering about the right things. I bought a camera at Bevacco but that’s because I had a meet up. Xavier Thorton agreed to meet with me and sell the camera after two glasses. The wine flowed and the vibes were right. Part of me wanted to give Xavier a big smooch on his face! But that would be wrong in so many ways (not in those ways but because the Misses wouldn’t be thrilled) Thanks! 🇨🇲
During a recent evening in DUMBO, we decided on a spontaneous dinner and were pleased to find that Bevacco could accommodate us without a reservation. The restaurant’s policy of reserving bookings for larger parties made it convenient for our smaller group to be seated promptly. We began our meal with the Imported Burrata, a delightful combination of creamy burrata, arugula pesto, figs, crispy prosciutto, pistachios, and grilled sourdough. The harmonious blend of textures and flavors made this appetizer a standout. For the main courses, the Cacio e Pepe featured al dente spaghetti tossed with black pepper, Parmesan, pecorino, and a touch of parsley, delivering a comforting and authentic taste. The Tagliatelle Bolognese, with its rich sauce of grass-fed beef, veal, and pork over fresh spinach tagliatelle, was equally satisfying. Additionally, the Bevacco Burger, topped with fontina cheese, crispy shallots, and gremolata, accompanied by perfectly cooked fries, offered a delightful twist on a classic favorite. While I had initially ordered the duck breast, a miscommunication led to us receiving the Brussels sprouts instead. Prepared with guanciale, cranberries, pecorino, and pumpkin seeds, their delightful acidity turned this unexpected dish into a pleasant surprise. The “Pick Me Up” cocktail—a refreshing blend of tequila, blood orange amaro, Aperol, lime, and agave complemented our meal beautifully, striking a perfect balance between citrus and sweetness. We concluded our dining experience with a classic affogato and the Lemon Basil Panna Cotta. The panna cotta, infused with buttermilk and accompanied by balsamic strawberries, provided a light and flavorful end to our meal. Despite the minor ordering mishap, the overall experience at Bevacco was exceptional. The attentive service, combined with the restaurant’s intimate setting and culinary excellence, ensures that I will return to explore more of their menu. For those seeking a memorable dining experience Bevacco comes highly recommended.
The food was delicious and the service was quick, and even the ambiance felt much nicer than the price point. However, the host/server/manager had an abrasive personality and no indoor voice. Seemed as if we weren't the only ones who noticed either. Hopefully it was just an off night, otherwise I'd give it 5 stars.
The food in general is medium-bad and with no italian taste at all. on the other hand the tiramisu the worst gastronomic experience. And to culminate the experience, the bill includes a tip of more than 20% without consulting you or without leaving the customer's discretion.
Service could have been much better. My beer arrived after appetizers and the side dishes arrived late after the entrees were served. The food itself was ok, not bad but lacked in flavor. I guess there's a reason it's taken me this long to try this place over Noodle Pudding or Sociale.
Staff was working hard but not enough help behind the bar. Medium rare burger was served medium well and just ok. Too many great spots around to revisit
Food was good, ordered the Housemade Spaghetti Alla Chitarra and Bolognese. I had went to use the bathroom where I was interrupted rather rudely when a waiter told me to use the "public bathroom across the road". I told him we were paying customers and he apologized, saying there were "fifteen people who came over here asking to use our bathroom". I did not appreciate the assumption and was quite taken aback. Later, after the lunch, the check came with an automatic tip of 20%+ gratitude. We paid for it, but then when we asked the waiter why it was 20%, they said it was our fault we hadn't asked them to change the tip while they had already told us there was a tip included. Both waiters we spoke to insisted that it was already paid for and they could not void it. We managed to have them void it in the end, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I'll recommend the food, but watch out for their staff and sneaky gratituity. Thus the three stars.
I don't usually leave reviews but that was fairly disappointing. I got 5 items; a starter, main, dessert, cappuccino and wine. The only thing that was not problematic was the wine. Nice staff and ambience but the only thing Id recommend here is a drink.
I started my meal with the fritto misto… lightly fried seafood, including calamari, shrimp, zucchini, and orange peels For my main course, I had the chicken piccata, which was served with a lemon sauce and roasted potatoes. The chicken was moist and flavorful, and the lemon sauce was light and tangy. The roasted potatoes were also cooked perfectly. The atmosphere at Bevacco is warm and inviting. The restaurant is decorated in a modern style, with exposed brick walls.
Meh... Is it clean? Yes. Is food decent? Yes, kinda. Is it "good looking"? Yeah sure, it's quite new. But do not expect a mind blowing meal - well actually not even a good meal, cause all the food me and my friends had for brunch was pretty tasteless. Even the interior decoration: it looks kinda of a wannabe but doesn't get that close to NYC standards as far as places I'd definitely suggest for eating something out.
The food was fine but the service was really bad. The staff was rude and not accommodating enough to let us change tables away from a loud group. This even when the restaurant was 70% empty.
Pros, the resturant is beautiful and modern. The service is decent. Cons, the food is below average, expensive and they give you childern sized portions. You are basically paying for the ambiance and location. Forced 20% tip. This place is not it!
Fellow Brits, Aussies and avid world travellers please take care to avoid... What should have been a family reunion to celebrate a lifetime of memories after attending our mother's funeral was tarnished by our two servers behaviour. We were a party of 12, each departing the next day to different parts of the globe, London, Queensland, California and more. The day had been fairly emotional and we were tired and looking forward to meeting up after an afternoon in a cemetery. We reserved for 7:30, but given the day's events some of us arrived later than others, which initially seemed fine. But strangely as members began arriving and sat down, our server thought it was best to visibly display her annoyance at the staggered arrival by snatching the menus from the hands of some family members and walking with such speed when by our table (we were set apart from the bar and main restaurant) that it was obvious she didn't want to attend. On member waited 15 minutes to order after someone else requested a menu a second time be brought over. Disappointing and unprofessional. Why? One of the pizzas ordered with anchovies was so salty that it caused our family member to choke after a single bite and on mentioning it to the waitress, she made a point to say, "Well, that's what YOU ordered. We will make another but it will be LATE". Maybe it's because we're accustomed to politeness and manners, but that was blatantly rude. From that moment on, she ramped up the speed walking, menu grabbing, and then added the most disappointing behaviour - she and her colleague stood within earshot of our table and began discussing how "that family needs to leave". At one point early in our meal, the air conditioning kicked in, ceiling fans in motion (which seemed odd given it was -10C outside) . Kids at the table began shivering, and adults were putting on scarves. We asked her if they could turn it down as it was cold, and was told while she couldn't turn off the fans, she'd turn on the heat. Her male colleague server then quipped, deliberately loud enough to be overheard "Well, let's turn on the cold air, that would get them to leave". It filled them with laughter and they nodded to each other, satisfied that it was heard. It was at that precise moment another relative was sharing her account of her time at the cemetery, so no one interrupted her and we tried our best to ignore it. Disappointing and distressing. Why? Why behave like this? Collectively our table of 12 spent in excess of $800 USD on food and drinks and after being advised we could only split it three ways, I began to calculate everyone's expenses. Remember, we're a group of 12 from different currencies so we had to regroup and divide and calculate who would manage the bill for others. As I tallied up who would pay for what, the male server decided that this was his moment to announce he needed to clean the restaurant and that they were now closed. Yet, sat on the other side of the restaurant was a group of four friends with drinks, enjoying conversation and laughter as well, undisturbed and uninterrupted. At our end, the waitress stood over and watched as we put on our scarves, hats etc. Given the earlier events of the day, we decided it was best to leave. Disappointing and upsetting. Why? The food was fair, the venue moderate. The behaviour of the staff went from lesser strength to strength : indifferent to odd to dismissive to blatantly rude. I cannot justify spending that sum of money to be insulted and wouldn't want anyone else to experience this. Shameful.
Salad was SO over dressed with balsamic: RADICCHIO FRISEE $17.00 Frisee, olives, orange segments, fennel, pistachios and balsamic Gnocchi was very basic in reality, not as described: GNOCCHI $28.00 GUANCIALE, CALABRIAN CHILI, CREAMY TOMATO, BASIL PESTO, PECORINO Panna Cotta was very disappointing. Music was very distracting (80s music)
The squid ink pasta was the worst I’ve ever had. The noodles came out colder than room temperature, the seafood in it didn’t seem all that warm or fully cooked either. Too many mussels, and shrimp with tails on. Atmosphere is dark and fine, but the menu is hard to read in this environment. Could use some bigger bolder fonts, people shouldn’t need to resort to using the flashlight on their phones to be able to order. The garlic Parmesan fries weird really basic fries, very greasy, and the Parmesan was sprinkled on and didn’t stick. Extremely overpriced for the quality of food, and the service was lacking like every recent review has said. Do not come here.
Horrible customer service!! I came here with my niece but she first needed to urgently go to the bathroom so we went up to the bartender and asked if we could use the bathroom. He then tried to “explain” to me that the bathroom is “actually quite busy at the moment” when really there was one person waiting. I told him that I was going to order something but he just ignored me and proceeded to pick up the phone while I was talking and completely ignored me. They did not deserve my money so I left and so should you if you’re finding yourself near Bevacco!
Absolutely awful food for brunch this past weekend. Eggs florentine and egg sandwich were really inedible. Total waste of money. Also, I ordered my eggs florentine with salmon and i discovered a bite or two too late that buried under the cold eggs was actually ham! A disappointing meal and a complete waste of money.
Unfortunately the service was really bad, my octopus was burned and dry. My friends food wasn’t tasting good. We were in a table with 5, the restaurant was empty and still we had to wait for more than 20’ for the food, more than 10 for check. They charged us 20% tip and we had to wait more than 15’ for them to bring the cards back. Really bad experience.
Understaffing is a struggle but the quality should not be sacrificed. There were only three people in total working in the front of the restaurant. Environment was okay, but the food is not recommended. The pizza tasted sweet and aged for unknown reasons. And, be aware, the tips are mandatory and are greater than 20%. We don’t mind paying tips but would like it with a warning. We communicated the issue with the bartender who was also in charge of the billing, but she was unfortunately not in the mood to talk. We left the restaurant feeling confused. If you want a better night than what we had tonight, keep looking I guess.
Beautiful Restaurant. Great service. But it's so dark you can't SEE the food and there is a very good reason for that. The last two times I've been there........not fresh, mushy shrimp, pasta was too salty, doused in chemicals designed to maintain freshness? That last one is a guess. The desert was edible.... But by then? SO WHAT! It's sad! This place used to be a sure thing.
If i can give this place 0 stars i would . Never have I ever experienced such straight disrespect from a waitress in my entire life. I went with my boyfriend yesterday and was completely ignored. Never made any eye contact but only with my boyfriend. My boyfriend ordered us two sodas and only one was brought out. While i was still looking at the menu that was on the table right in front of me, the blonde waitress decided to just grab it. I wonder how you allow such staff in your establishment. 3 times I was disrespected before i walked out . My boyfriend paid but would never return. I think staff etiquette needs to be retaught .
Pizza was partly burned with no tomato sauce, burger consistet of old bread with a patty and cheese. Fries were okay, panini bread was acceptable but the filling tasted as if it was cooked without any spices. food did not arrive at the same time, long waiting time even though few people were at the restaurant. Take a look at the picture added to this post, same dish maybe you can spot a difference between the orders.
Not a false review and happy to elaborate. A number of locals and I tried to enjoy drinks at Bevacco ahead of the PCS gala. The margaritas I ordered for my wife and her friends were no bueño according to them and ultimately they just had a sip or two leaving them behind as we left for a party. The Moretti beer I enjoyed was in a bottle so no issue there.
I am writing to share my recent experience at your restaurant on June 13, 2024, as I believe it is important for you to be aware of the service we received during our visit. My two friends and I were looking forward to enjoying a nice dinner together, having made a reservation in advance. However, upon our arrival, we encountered a series of issues that left us feeling quite disappointed. After arriving, my friend and I waited outside for our third party member to join us. Once we entered, we were met with an awkward silence as we stood by the entrance, waiting for someone to greet us. After a few moments, we were approached by our waitress, who asked if we were a party of three and if we had a reservation, but her tone felt somewhat aggressive. It was disheartening to observe that multiple other parties were seated and greeted with warmth and friendliness, while we seemed to be treated differently. Additionally, it was noticeable that we were the only African American guests in the restaurant that evening, which added to our discomfort. Once seated, we were given three menus but only two drink menus. Shortly thereafter, a different waiter took one of our drink menus to give to another table, leaving us with just one menu to share among three people. The waiter waked passed multiple table with drink menus to take ours. When the waitress returned to take our orders, I inquired about mocktails, as I hadn’t had the chance to look at the menu yet. Instead of offering assistance, she curtly informed me that everything was in the menu. I began to look for the mocktails, but without the ingredients listed, I sought her recommendations. However, she abruptly stated she would come back and walked away before I could finish my question. Throughout our meal, we noticed that the waitress frequently checked on the guests seated next to us, offering them recommendations and asking if they needed more time. In contrast, she only checked in on our table in passing, never stopping to ask if everything was okay. We felt uncomfortable voicing our concerns, as we did not want to appear problematic. When the check arrived, we felt compelled to leave a small tip, as the service did not meet our expectations. However, shortly after we paid, the waitress approached us in a loud and aggressive manner, questioning why we did not leave at least a 15% tip on a $200 bill. She loudly asked was there a problem with my services. This confrontation drew the attention of other diners, and we felt embarrassed and uncomfortable. My colleague attempted to explain our experience, highlighting the waitress’s tone and the disparity in service we received compared to other guests. While she offered a couple of apologies, they felt insincere and condescending. While we appreciated the quality of the food, the service we received overshadowed our dining experience. As a Black woman, I felt particularly unwelcome, and it was disheartening to see such a stark contrast in treatment based on race. I believe that feedback is essential for improvement, and I hope you take this message into consideration. It is my sincere hope that future guests will have a more positive experience at your establishment
To cut to the chase, the food is disgusting, and the service is brutal. Another instance where society would be better off if yelp allowed zero stars. We sat down and the hostess immediately complained to us about how it was busy, and told us that this isn’t a good thing because she’s paid a flat rate. A great start. The waiter took our order and then read it back to us, getting nearly every order wrong so we had to correct him. The apps were good but expensive for what they were. The entrees were embarrassingly bad. The cheese on top of the lasagna had been poorly charred by a butane torch, and I know this because all I could taste was disgusting bitter burnt butane flavor. I’ve made this mistake before the only time I’ve ever used a butane torch, but I’m not a professional chef charging people for the food I cook. But it must’ve been this chef’s first time cooking, because the same mistake was made on the eggplant parm. Eggplant parm was also cold by the time it hit the table. The rigatoni was inedible. So incredibly salty, and the flavors past the salt were horrible. I’ve never sent a meal back in my life, but this experience inspired new confidence for me to express my absolute disdain for our experience. The waiter argued with me, and said that the disgusting misuse of butane was the chef’s style and repeatedly pushed back instead of apologizing. To top it off, the tequila soda we got had an added $2 charge for the soda. Truly a shockingly bad experience and I’m embarrassed that I suggested.
