Bowery Meat Company Albee Square Reviews
Had an amazing experience tonight thanks to Brook, our server! She made my boyfriend’s birthday truly special. Her recommendations were spot on – we especially loved the steak, mashed potatoes, and truffle fries (our absolute favorite!). The chocolate layer birthday cake was a 10/10 way to finish the meal. The vibes were great and the music was enjoyable. Definitely recommend
This is THE best steakhouse in NYC. Chef David makes the best tasting steaks in the city—hands down. Service and hospitality were totally on point. Thank you Miranda for for your attentive and fun service. We’ll be back.
Absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent throughout the entire evening. For appetizers, we ordered the duck lasagne (highly recommend!!), jumbo shrimp cocktail, kung pao duck wings, and grilled octopus, and each was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. For dinner, I ordered the filet mignon, which was cooked exactly as requested, and perfectly tender. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed without ever being intrusive. The ambiance struck the perfect balance between upscale and comfortable, making it an ideal spot for both special occasions and a great night out. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back.
All 3 dishes I had were fabulous. The thick cut bacon had the right mix of fat and meat. A little maple, a little smoke. The octopus was nice and tender. The portion was ample. The sauces on the dish went well with the octopus. I would gladly order each of those two starters repeatedly. Enjiyed the 16 oz. Bone-in ribeye for my main medium rare. Excellent preparation and seasoned nicely. Did not need to have an accompanying sauce or butter. Looked to keep my bottle of wine closer to the low end of price points. Very nice 2020 Cab from Washington State. The staff was top-notch. From the greeting that including a "happy birthday" from the host, to Michelle on service who was great with recommendations and was a pleasure to chat with to Mike, the sommelier who discussed wines and details of the online list. Everyone rocked the experience. Received a special birthday treat along with my 30-year Port. This may have been the most expensive solo dinner I have had, but certainly worth the splurge.
We went to this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend that lived in New York. I have to say it was our best dinners during our Christmas visit!! The service was fantastic and food was mouthwatering! One of the best meals we have had in a long time. We look forward to a return visit on our next visit to New York.
NYC has a lot of upscale steakhouses. Bowery is above average and checks all the boxes. You probably won't find it on a top 10 list, even though it could be. This is where the locals in the know go. Excellent food, great staff and a nice ambiance. We were there on one of their busiest nights of the year.. but we wouldn't have known that as our experience was outstanding. Highly recommended.
The atmosphere is great, feels very much like a lounge, excellent music and ambience. The food was amazing from start to finish. The wagyu steak that my wife and I shared was outstanding, quite possibly the best steak we have ever had. The staff was very kind and attentive, but also did not hover. Shout out to Jaz, Victoria, Sienna, and Miguel. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Really incredible food and service last night at Bowie meat company: a massive thank you to Jaswin, and rest of the team. Everything was phenomenal from the pear and goats cheese salad and crudo to start, to the tomahawk. The staff are very passionate about their ingredients, and what they do. Really enjoyed it - I had to book a table for a follow-up visit as I was leaving. Class.
I had a lovely solo dinner here after landing in NYC, the team is very vibrant and the vibe is very moody and even sexy, it fulfills the New York dreamy chicness. Special shout out to Shania, her service was amazingly attentive, and gave spot on recommendations, the pear salads was surprisingly good and crisp and fresh and well seasoned. The steak was juicy and generous. I wish I have bigger appetite for the duck lasagna, which is my bucket list for the next visit! ( with more friends )
Very friendly and helpful staff - welcoming smiles, helpful team, not overbearing. Genuinely great service. Everything we ordered was well prepared and delicious. The housemade ricotta was a favorite. Our chateaubriand was perfectly prepared - tender and flavorful. The hamachi appetizer was very good as well. The carrot cake was very good (we took most of the cake to go, and it was still delicious the next day). We appreciated the wine suggestion by the bartender.... This was an Anniversay dinner, and the team at BMC made it a very special evening. Would return in a heartbeat next time in NY.
I rarely post reviews but the experience I had dining here deserves it - from the moment we walked in we felt at home, the service was incredible and the food was exquisite. Our server Jas was extremely knowledgable and friendly and guided us towards lovely wines and food choices. A must visit if you’re in the area, one of the best restaurant experiences of my life!
What an awesome night! Started with Shrimp Cocktail and had Dry Aged Porterhouse for 2 which of course we selected from a caveman board of raw beef! Perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. You could really taste the dry aged. Added creamed spinach and whipped potatoes which were perfect pairs. Cocktails and wine excellent as well as our server. And can’t forget about the carrot cake with a cream cheese frosting - perfect end to a great evening.
One of the best steakhouse experiences I’ve had in the city. The staff is very attentive and know the menu inside out. We were a large group, so we started with the caviar, oysters, and duck lasagna. The lasagna is a must try! We got three different cuts and they were all cooked to perfection. For sides we had creamed spinach, mashed potato’s and Mac and cheese. You cannot leave without having the bread pudding for dessert! If you’re too full you should get it to go!
My friends and I came here to celebrate our wonderful friend graduating and becoming a doctor. We started off of drinks which I had a French 75. It was super crisp and refreshing. We got the special which was the Japanese Wagyu and we paired it with fingerling potatoes, brussels sprouts, roasted onions, and garlic, along with two sauces which one was white and one was brown. For appetizers, we decided to have the buffalo mozzarella ravioli in their amazing truffle sauce. That meal was so delicious and decadent I will be dreaming about it for a while. When we got our main star of the dish, the steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were absolutely delicious. We paired this meal with a wonderful red Bordeaux. For dessert we got the chocolate chip cookie skillet with vanilla ice cream and the 17 layer chocolate cake. Both were absolutely delicious. Our waiter did come out with some complementary truffles for our celebration, which was also really really good. Overall, this place is one of my favorite places for special celebrations and they really do go all out when it comes to their dinner presentation and the staff is immaculate.
If you like a quiet room to enjoy your guests, if you like great steaks, if you need fantastic service so you don’t feel it’s your job to make sure your guests get good service then this is the best place in the city! Best Ravioli I’ve ever had outside of Italy! One of the best tomahawks I’ve had in New York! And fantastic west coast oysters! 😘
Everything about this place is great. From the moment coming to the last drop of my cocktail it was great. The music was awesome. The atmosphere feels great and the staff friendly and very attentive. I didn't take a picture of my steak and duck lasagna, amazing by the way, I just couldn't wait to eat it. Thank you! I will be coming back again and letting other people know about this great restaurant.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and definitely love to come back again. The steak and sauce were probably the best I’ve had in NYC, and the garlic was perfectly seasoned and cooked, making it the ideal pairing with the steak! The side dishes were also delicious. We had a fantastic time—the seating was comfortable, the atmosphere was great, and the music choices added to the experience. The service was excellent, making our evening even more enjoyable.
Food was excellent. Service was great. Had one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. The char on the steak gave it a nice crust. The cocktails were probably the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Good mix of sour and sweet without the sweet being overwhelming. Our server was attentive despite the restaurant being packed. Nice intimate setting. Great place for a special occasion or date night. Will very likely be back in the future.
The service was great, Diana was so warm and accommodating with our questions & her food suggestions. The steak was tasty and great quality (we got the 30-day dry aged strip and the cowgirl ribeye). I really enjoyed the duck lasagna, brussel sprouts (side dish), and the cookie skillet dessert. Ambience and atmosphere was nice and clean. Overall, I would come back to this spot.
Our server was amazing. She did everything she could to make our experience awesome. The atmosphere was exquisite. Unfortunately, the steak wasn't very good. The octopus was though! I had ordered medium rare. The first time around, it was strangely dry. Perhaps overcooked? It was no biggie though. I mentioned it, maybe to get some more sauce or something, but they remade it instead. This time though, it came out barely cooked. Decided it wasn't really worth the hassle as we had already been there for quite some time and decided to leave.
First, I start off with it’s too dark. The music doesn’t fit the ambience. I ordered a tomahawk steak at $198 It was serve cold I was expecting a hot steak right off the grill And be able to cut into it myself. They seem to focus more on presentation. And by the way, you would think for $198 you wouldn’t have to pay for Sides! They charge me $18 for a baked potato, the nerve. In the past, I have ordered Omaha steaks mail order for half the price and I enjoy that a whole lot More! The only thing good I have to say about this place. The staff was super friendly. I almost forgot I wasn’t finished with my baked potato before someone came by scooped it up didn’t Even bother to ask me if I was finished. Either way, I recommend you find a better steakhouse. Because the people who eat here, apparently they don’t know what they’re eating!
I don't understand how this restaurant can have 4.5 stars on Google. I went there for dinner with my girlfriend, but it wasn't particularly great. It started with the appetizers, which weren't served at the same time as they should have been. The Caesar salad was just too much and not particularly tasty, just some romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing. The ravioli was served cold the first time. After we reported this to our waiter, we were given a new portion. The ravioli was still cold, but this time the plate was hot. The main courses weren't great either, the stuffed baked potato and asparagus were also served cold. The only thing that was acceptable was the ribeye steak. The ravioli was removed from the bill, but that didn't make the experience any better. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, but thanks to Amex Dining Experience, I got most of my money back.
