MayRee Thai Kitchen has been selected for the Michelin Guide three years in a row, and it truly deserves it. We loved the hed tod (fried seafood mushrooms) — crispy and delicious. The bacon hor ham was huge and customizable with chili, onions, and peanuts. The grilled shrimp mango salad was super refreshing with large shrimp and fresh mango. For mains, the kee mao talay (seafood drunken noodles) was mildly spicy and loaded with mussels, squid, and shrimp. The kra prow (ground pork) was so flavorful and addictive — perfect with rice. Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee are both great choices. The coconut ice cream, served in a heart-shaped coconut shell, was rich and fragrant. Beautiful ambiance and great atmosphere. Would definitely come back!

MayRee is hands down one of my favorite Thai restaurants in NYC. The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is just as good—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their Pad Thai is perfectly balanced and full of flavor, and the Pad Krapow Moo is a must-order—rich, savory, and incredibly satisfying. You can really tell they care about authenticity and quality in every dish. What really sets MayRee apart is the atmosphere and drinks. They have beautiful Thai culture–inspired cocktails that are creative, well-crafted, and fun without being gimmicky. It’s the kind of place that feels special but still relaxed. This is 100% a restaurant I’d bring friends to—whether it’s their first time trying Thai food or they already love it. Consistently great food, great vibes, and a spot I’ll keep coming back to!

Mayree totally lives up to the Michelin Guide (2023–2025). One of the best Thai meals I’ve had in NYC. The curry was rich and flavorful with a nice balance of sweetness and spice. The soup pot was bold and comforting, with super fresh seafood. The Thai basil pork with fried egg over rice was simple but done perfectly — mixing the yolk into the rice was so satisfying. Cozy, intimate vibe and friendly service. Best part? It’s actually affordable — around $30–50 per person, which feels like a great deal for this level of quality in Manhattan. Definitely coming back.

This Thai restaurant is such a cozy and lovely spot for a warm meal on a freezing day. We truly enjoyed everything we ordered. The Kra Prow was my absolute standout! I loved it so much. My friend’s favorites were the Roti Nam Keang and Pad Mee Kati, both rich in coconut flavor with a comforting curry base. We also both loved the Goong Chae Nam Pla and Tom Yum Goong, so flavorful, delicious, and perfectly spicy. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

This is a hidden gem in the east village!! Loved every dish we got but my favorite was the Roti Nam Keang which is curry with fried roti, it was so so so yummy. And the server was amazing too. Highly recommend if you are looking for Thai food in this area.

Tried MayRee in East Village after noticing their Michelin Guide 2023-2025 recommendation, and it didn’t disappoint. We ordered Tom Yum Goong, Gai Gor Lae, Green Curry with Chicken, Kra Prow with ground pork, Pad Thai wrapped with omelet (first time trying this style-really good). Overall, this place is cozy, the staff were very nice and friendly.

First time at MayRee and immediately felt like I picked the right place. The garden-style interior is cozy and relaxing, a perfect escape from downtown. We tried Nam Woon Sen, En Gai Tod, Kra Prow (ground pork), Khao Pad Puu, and Pad Kee Mao (beef) — everything was flavorful and well balanced. Mango sticky rice was a great finish, and the Thai iced tea (no ice) was perfect. Easily a spot I’d come back to and recommend to friends.

Finally visited this Michelin-recommended Thai spot after having it saved for over a year — totally worth the drive. Small, cozy, great prices, and every dish we ordered was excellent. About $50 per person after tax and we were stuffed. Top picks: 🔥 Keang Phed Ped — fragrant roasted duck with rich but not heavy curry, plus lychee, pineapple, and tomato. 🔥 Mee Kaeng — thin noodles with a generous portion that soak up the curry perfectly. 🔥 Mango Sticky Rice — not on the menu, but they have it; even my non-dessert friend loved it. Highly recommended!

my favorite Thai restaurant in Manhattan. The Thai-style marinated raw shrimp and roti nam keang are must-orders every time. I’ve been back multiple times and the quality is always consistent. Easily my number one Thai spot.

Absolutely deserves the Michelin recognition! Every dish was beautiful from flavor to presentation. The Thai iced tea is hands down the best I’ve had in the city! It’s so unique and perfectly spiced. I almost didn’t want to share a picture of it because the presentation is such a suprise. Very authentic, pretty spicy, and very unique and cozy vibes. Great for a date night. I tried several dishes and not one I didn’t like. 10 out of 10

A truly wonderful dining experience at MayRee. It’s easy to see why this Michelin Guide recognized restaurant stands out. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Every dish we ordered was beautifully executed, but the branzino was the star, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My friend and I had such a great time there! An unforgettable meal and absolutely a place we’ll be coming back to.

Great Thai food! I loved my pad see ew. We started with the roti mataba which was good and had a really good sauce with it. We also tried a rice dumpling app which name I can’t remember but it was ok. My entree was delicious. I loved my pad see ew, and I tried some of the green curry and drunken noodles as well which were all great. We were a party of 4 that walked in and had to wait maybe 10 minutes before a table was ready on a Saturday night. It was overall a great spot!

Possibly one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to in the city, and DEFINITELY my favorite tom yum I’ve ever had. Everything was insanely flavorful and the duck curry is just out of this world. Would pass on the stuff roti and sausage appetizer in the future. Their cocktails were also amazing. Vibe is cozy and service is so nice. Loved.

En Gai Tod – The fried chicken was pretty good. You can actually bite into the soft cartilage, kind of like those connected meat-and-bone skewers! Nam Woon Sen – The sourness and fragrance were just right. The glass noodles weren’t mushy at all, very refreshing. Tom Yum Goong – Served in a volcano pot, which makes it feel very ceremonial. The broth is rich with a great balance of sour and spicy, and they give a generous amount of ingredients. Pad Kee Mao Beef – I found it quite spicy, super fragrant, and the beef was tender! Kra Prow – Perfect with rice. The grains were nice and separated, and the pork and long beans were fully soaked with flavor. My top pick is still the Roti Nam Keanu, the curry is incredibly aromatic, and the roti is crispy and delicious without feeling heavy at all!

I had dinner at May Ree and absolutely loved it! The restaurant has such a chic, upscale vibe — dim lighting, gold details, and a cozy atmosphere that’s perfect for photos. 📸 The food was amazing! The Tom Yum Goong was flavorful and spicy in the best way, and the Goong Chae Nam Pla (raw shrimp) was super fresh with a perfect kick. The Seafood Kee Mao and Pla Loui Suan were both full of rich, bold Thai flavors — definitely on the spicy side, but totally worth it 🔥 Service was friendly and fast, and the presentation of every dish looked beautiful. Highly recommend this spot if you love authentic, spicy Thai food in a stylish setting! 🌶️💛

We had an amazing Thai dinner here. The KRA PROW (stir-fried minced pork with basil and rice) was full of flavor and perfectly spicy. The En Gai Tod (fried chicken tendons) were crispy on the outside and pleasantly chewy inside — very unique and delicious. The KAENG PHED PED (roasted duck in red curry) had a rich coconut aroma and just the right amount of heat. The Pad Mee Kati (crab meat stir-fried noodles) was creamy, fragrant, and loaded with fresh crab meat. During happy hour, we tried both the Lychee Martini and Espresso Martini, which were well-balanced and refreshing. Overall, great flavors, authentic dishes, and excellent cocktails — definitely worth a visit.

One of my favorite Thai spots in NYC, I’ve been here more than 10 times! The place has that authentic Chiang Mai vibe with enamel plates and a cozy bar-style setting. My must-orders: Kra Prow (Thai basil pork) — perfectly savory and goes so well with rice; Somtum (papaya salad) — super crisp and tangy; Duck curry with pineapple and lychee — surprisingly delicious combo! The crab noodle stir-fry is also amazing — not too dry, not too wet, just right. And don’t skip the Thai tea — it used to be a bit sweet, but now it’s perfectly balanced. Always my go-to comfort spot 🇹🇭

Had the most incredible dinner here sharing so many delicious plates of noodles, curries and appetizers! The pad Thai had a depth of flavor I can't wait to come back for and loved how fun and special all the cocktails are! A perfect spot for the fall time!

My friend recommended this spot, and I finally got to check it out on a Thursday evening. Walked in without a reservation and got lucky with a table. The ambiance is super cozy and really captures that Thai vibe with all the beautiful decor. Our server was so friendly and helpful, even gave us some great food recommendations, and we ordered them all! We had the chicken soup, fried chicken, shrimp in fish sauce, papaya salad, crab fried rice, and minced pork with basil. Everything was delicious, but my favorites were the papaya salad and crab fried rice. We didn’t get to try the cocktails this time, but I’m definitely coming back for that on my next visit. The location is also perfect, great spot for a full meal before bar hopping in the area. Can’t wait to come back!

Mayree has been featured by the Michelin guide two years in a row, specializing in Southern Thai eats with bold flavors. They feature a fun drink menu, named after the “Twelve Sisters” folktale, along with both classics like pad Thai and curries and specialities like their roast duck or sautéed vermicelli. I was personally most impressed by how tender and juicy their duck came out, paired with a savory soup! I liked the flakiness of the roti as well. The chicken skewers were fine but not overtly impressive. Also liked the flavors of the noodles, but personally prefer larger chunks of crab meat. Everything was beautifully presented! Great for a casual date or if you’re just seeking some Thai eats in the city (located in East Village). Reservation not required.

This East Village gem serves up some of the best Southern Thai food I’ve ever had! Every dish is made with so much care, and the flavors are absolutely incredible. The cocktails are just as impressive, with a great selection and fun seasonal specials. If you’re looking for truly authentic Thai cuisine, this is the place to go. Highly recommend! 🌺

MayRee is a Southern Thai spot recognized by the MICHELIN Guide. The ambiance is charming, and the cocktails are genuinely creative. I enjoyed the signature Mayree cocktail (pandan and cucumber)—it was surprisingly refreshing. The dishes like Tom Yum Soup and Pad Krapow showed well-executed Thai flavors with good depth. The Fried Chicken Tendons were a definite highlight: crispy, unique texture, and boldly seasoned with fish sauce. ⚠️ The most important note: While the flavor profiles were authentic and well-balanced (spicy, sour, aromatic), all the dishes we tried were significantly too salty for our taste. It might have been an off-day for the kitchen. If you decide to visit, I highly recommend asking the server for "Less Salt" when ordering to ensure a perfect dining experience. The potential is certainly there.
