Embriago Coffee Albee Square Reviews
We met one of the co-owners, Sam, was great and he told us to check out this coffeeshop. The other co-owner, Robin, was also really welcoming and considerate. The coffee is delicious and well worth it to check out.
Super cute quiet coffee shop with great coffee. Highly recommend if you’re in the Nolita neighborhood
A very cozy coffee shop with a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. My friend and I had a wonderful time here everything was top-notch, from the delicious coffee to the friendly staff. The interior is perfect for relaxing and enjoying an unhurried conversation. The presence of fresh flowers is a lovely bonus🌸
This is the best cappuccino I have had in nyc! The oat milk I used wasn’t watered down at all, it was rich and creamy. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, great music selection, an attractive place with a more upscale vibe at a simple coffee house price
Absolutely beautiful coffee and always excellent service from Robin. We visited here nearly every day for our morning coffee because it tasted that good!!! Can’t wait to return next year!!! Keep up the good work Robin it was a pleasure to meet you!
Very welcoming and kind service. Relaxing atmosphere. All the lattes we tried were delicious! Love that my latte was served extra hot. The pumpkin spice latte was definitely the best PSL I’ve ever had, no question. I typically ask for an extra shot of espresso and/or less sweetener in lattes, but there was no need here. They were perfect as is!
((4.5 stars)) slender stretched coffee shop planted on a sleepy block of Rivington. warm tones + neatly maintained + clean to the eye woody decor with the interruption of exposed brick, with some seating up front. a place to sip a quality brew of coffee and quiet conversations as the vibe here is a string of sedated subtle moments while enjoying the finer things in coffee craft. the vibe really is quiet and warmth--like the long in-between pauses of drunkeness minus any insober boisterousness. it's calm caffeination. stopped by here several times. the coffee is made by the owner / operator, i think. it's never rushed. the last Cortado I sipped here on the coffee shop bench outside…made me wish i got it to stay in a proper cup and sink into the rich smoothness of of the cortado espresso flavors balanced by the steamed milk. it makes you understand that there really is nothing better than enjoying simple things without having to complicate it with too many thoughts or explanations. all that said, good coffee offered, made, and served proficiently. the service is quiet. no small talk. it's somewhat strange for a coffee shop, but fits the tone of the Embriago bc banter might sink the rhythm or just might elevate it. idk. come for the coffee and stay for the calm.
I love this place. I try my best to find out new locally owned artisanal coffee shops to support, and this little shop and it's owner I cannot recommend enough to you. Delicious coffee served with care and kindness. No frills, no decor, just really excellent coffee, lattes, cappuccinos... He also offers this spinach/feta pastry he makes him myself that is so light airy and delicious that I can't quite describe it; however, you will crave it and won't be able to get it anywhere else. Perfect with a latte. It's little unassuming places like this that are the beating heart of NYC.
My husband prides himself on finding the best coffee in any city we go to, and EMBRIAGO was no exception. The oat milk lattes were smooth and creamy, the perfect temperature, each cup a work of art. The spinach and feta cheese bistro was perfection. The service was warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back!
I found this spot searching on Google. Simplistic, brick and mortar, no frills atmosphere on a quiet street. The coffee speaks for itself. i appreciate this because I notice when some spots create a busy interior with what I can only assume is to distract from drinking subpar coffee. I got an iced americano. Roast was on the lighter side, which is my favorite. No milk or cream, because it’s delicious without it. This is some of the best coffee I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend. It was a short distance from my hotel so I got lucky that I could find a gem within walking distance.
The rumours are true. There is a new coffee place in the neighborhood and its great. There are plenty of coffee places around here, but this place is now my favorite. The baristas know coffee and make a perfect flat white. The french pastries are also great. Its also nice to have an owner operated small business locally.
Great spot for coffee in NYC! I had a cortado and it was perfectly balanced – smooth, rich, and just strong enough. My partner got an iced latte and loved it – not too watery, not too sweet, just right. The vibe is relaxed, the staff is friendly, and everything felt really intentional. Definitely coming back!
As a visitor to New York, Embriago Coffee was the first place that caught my eye, and I'm so glad it did! The moment you enter, you're greeted by a phenomenal atmosphere. A huge part of this is the owner, who manages to be both wonderfully high-energy and remarkably calm, which truly defines the welcoming and comfortable vibe of the shop. Beyond the fantastic energy, the coffee is top-notch, and everything is priced very fairly. It’s a genuinely delightful spot for a coffee and a unique New York experience
Highly recommend the einspanner latte which is delicious. The decaf flat white was average. The barista never called us for our drinks so they were sitting on the counter for a couple of mins. There's some seating.
