Henry Street Ale House Albee Square Reviews
Absolutely phenomenal experience. Food was delicious and very fairly priced, service was top notch, very cozy atmosphere, clean bathroom. Couldn’t ask for anything else! 10/10
Omg and Iron chef of sushi … never see one of this in person before.. this sushi was so delicious and the price very affordable. The size of this place make it so cozy. Perfect for a first date in Brooklyn I would say. This time around I was we 2 friends . We share our plates. We laugh. We are so good. The menu is beautiful. Very recommend this place
The best (and cheapest) sushi spot in all NYC!!! We got edamame, and gyoza as appetizers. We got the Monkey Roll, 2011, Snow Mountain, Atlantic, Hard Rock, and the Hana Roll. They were all super delicious!!! As a dessert, we got the fried ice cream. Highly recommend coming here to dine. I will definitely be coming back and trying other stuff on their menu.
This is the best, most extensive menu of delicious Japanese foods- sushi, sashimi, rolls, teriyaki, ramen or udon noodles. Seriously, the menu has a table of contents. And it's all high quality ingredients. They have lobster, and Chilean Sea Bass on top of the usual tuna, salmon, eel and spicy stuff. Our server was spectacular! Friendly and genuinely excited about the menu and restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. You can tell regulars have been coming to this place for decades. Enjoy!!!
Iron Chef is our go to place when visiting friends ask us to take them out. Location-wise it is perfect, a short walk from the Brooklyn Promenade (the best view of the city, in my opinion) and quick to get to via many trains. The service is always quick and extremely friendly. The water keeps flowing and the staff loves to give recommendations if you need it. The food is always fresh and flavorful. There's a reason they made 200,000 monkey rolls in the last 18 years. You'll want to get 2 at least. Lastly, the price range is great. Especially when compared to the overpriced locations of Manhattan. Don't miss out on Iron Chef.
Stopped by here this past week for their 3 roll lunch special and was not disappointed. Ordered the salmon roll, California roll, and spicy crab/shrimp roll. The salmon roll was great, salmon tasted super fresh and was very flavorful. Their salmon roll includes cucumber as well and has the rice wrapped around the outside of the roll, however this was a welcome change. Next up the California roll. The Cali roll was also very good and hugely filling, the avocado slices were a little on the bigger side and made for a nice bite. Lastly the spicy crab/shrimp roll, my least favorite of the bunch but still relatively good, shrimp flavor was lacking and would've loved it to been a bit spicier but a good roll nonetheless. The rice on all the rolls was well prepared, nice and chewy and overall very solid sushi for the price ~$13. Will have to come back to try the rest of their rolls another time.
We stopped here for sushi. Cute little place. Great service and nice atmosphere. The sushi was good.
Service was great and atmosphere was awesome. Wasn't a huge fan of the salmon miso soup though, it was too hot and there were too many veges inside. The sushi was very good, but I felt the special spicy tuna roll had a little too much rice compared to fish. The dinner combo was great though, terriaki steak was very well cooked. I would come back
Ambience is nice. It’s a bit too dimly lit. Wide selection of Asian Beers, which is cool. Presentation, and food was good. Wasn’t the best sushi, but it was nice experience. Was a great night. Staff is friendly. Can see rolls being made literally a foot away. It’s a small place but they made room. Clean. Parking around here is bad.
Great food, price, and plating aesthetics. Loved how their salad has loads of different ingredients to add to the taste and texture. They are also extremely thoughtful in how they separately plate the shrimp tempura and the udon, some restaurants put the tempura in the soup and it gets too soggy. Really happy with the overall quality of food. Service was polite but quite obvious they were trying to rush us to leave at the end even though there were still a few tables empty. I don’t get what’s the rush, we ordered enough food to deserve a peaceful and well paced dinner and we were not disrespectful in any way either? Other than this, the restaurant is wonderful.
This place is better than your average discount sushi joint. Not only are the rolls a lot more appealing, they taste better. Portions are big. Very creative. I would recommend getting the sushi, and hold off on ordering the bento boxes. Appetizers here are amazing too! Try the tuna dumpling. Not the biggest place however. It was packed when I got there. Overall, will definitely visit again.
I frequent this place when I can...good most of the time. Today I was fortunate nought to prefer the special. Which was a sautéed whole lobster udon...there wasnt even a lobster tale . The server gave me an attitude when I brought it up. I will not frequent this place again
