Joe Coffee Albee Square Reviews
The coffee was delicious and the music/vibe was perfect.
Lovely coffee and very polite service; only two staff in and busy but the young man that served us remained courteous and friendly, stuck a tip in the jar which many people failed to do on our visit. I think tips are well deserved there.
Called in while visiting DUMBO and the iconic photo location of The Empire State Building through Manhattan Bridge. Managed to get seats in the window. Nice coffee in Joe’s signature mug. Only slight annoyance was queuing for the toilet especially when non customers seemed to be using it. Not the staff’s fault.
It was a very busy day and the place was SLAMMED. New Year's tourists galore taking photos (DUMBO) outside so there was a lot of food traffic. Through it all we received two on point cups of coffee (regular coffee and a vanilla latte) and the service was quick and accurate. Obviously this is an "in and out" spot so the atmosphere was out of their control. It was a madhouse... We will definitely return during our next visit!
We had just walked the Brooklyn bridge across into DUMBO... it was -3 and we wanted a hot drink; we avoided the Starbucks and found a shop called "Joe Coffee" We walked in and up to the counter where 4 or 5 baristas looked hip and ready... I said "I was going to make a joke and ask if you guys served coffee" all 5 baristas fell about laughing, the tall guy leant forward, looked back and said "what makes you think we do?" And we all laughed again... "Joe coffee" I said... we exchanged small talk, leaving lots of space for each other to talk, great pace, lots of eye contact. We had the 'viral Olympic chocolate muffin' I asked "why is it viral" the tall guy said "you're about to find out" it was great. We stayed for ages. As I grabbed the door, I looked back and shouted "best coffee in America" (I meant it) and our friend shouted "come back again" (it felt like he meant it too)
Very calm coffee shop with a busy atmosphere outside in DUMBO. Overall 4 stars out of 5 lovely restaurant.
I was here in December 2024 and never wrote my review. Good cold brew and good service. I stopped here on my visit to DUMBO, as I'm sure many people do. It was early in the morning, so it was not busy, but I imagine when it's more tourist season it gets busy. Seems like a decent place for coffee in a great location!
Got their hot chocolates and one latte. I personally found the hot chocolate incredibly mid. Again it’s a coffee shop so maybe I shouldn’t hold that against them. Just a tip for anyone else who wants to take it!
Joe’s Coffee Company is a small, cozy spot tucked into a lovely part of the neighborhood. I stopped in for a cappuccino, which was smooth, well-balanced, and exactly what I needed. I didn’t get to try the chocolate croissant this time, but I’m definitely planning to return for it before my trip is over. If you visit, grab your coffee to go and take a stroll through the beautiful brownstone-lined streets of Brooklyn Heights — it’s the perfect pairing.
The staff is really rude and not at all helpful, I mean why would u work in customer service if u hate the job so much. The coffee was ok but overall experience was not good because the staff behaviour
Not sure how you can mess up a cold brew, but Joe Coffee sure did. The drink had no flavor, and the staff were impolite and unwelcoming. I only stopped by for convenience, but definitely won’t be back.
I order 7 different drinks and all were wrong, the “hot chocolate” was coffee, “ and when I told them they made the “chocolate” and was just milk. We order some with a different kind of milk and all they used whole milk for all.
Hot chocolate I got tasted like water. No flavor at all. On top of that, they said we couldn’t use the restroom even though we were paying customers that spent over $20 there. Kind of strange.
