La Contenta has been one of my favorite restaurants for a while now. The bartenders and servers are really hospitable, they take great care of you. The drinks and food are delicious! I’ve tried everything on the menu that I could eat (shellfish allergy) and drink, and honestly everything is worth it here !

Upon entering a Mexican restaurant, the aroma of the cuisine is always a delightful welcome. Regarding the new La Contenta location, I can affirm that the ambiance, atmosphere, culinary offerings, beverages, and customer service were all exceptional. However, the handmade tortillas were particularly outstanding, evoking a sense of nostalgic familiarity. Furthermore, I highly recommend sampling the tepache. I suggest ordering the carne asada tacos with tepache. I highly recommend experiencing the new location; it truly captures the authentic flavors reminiscent of Mexico. The new management has clearly demonstrated their expertise, and their team is dedicated to providing an unparalleled dining experience.

La Contact is such a gem! ✨ It’s a fresh concept Mexican restaurant that feels so warm and home-like the second you walk in. Sometimes they even have live music, which makes it even more special. Roberto is hands down the most hospitable person I’ve ever met — he made the whole experience feel like we were guests in his home. We had so much fun! And the food… wow. We tried guacamole, shrimp tacos, salmon, another shrimp dish, and honestly every single thing was incredible. I couldn’t even pick a favorite because it was all so delicious. And the non alcoholic margaritas are amazing!!! Highly recommend — we’re already planning to come back! 🌮💃

AMAZING FOOD WOW !!! Loved the salmon al pastor it’s a must , love the music and the drinks as well and the fish tacos are so delicious and they use handmade tortillas . 100% recommend and will be back to try more menu items.

When I heard they opened a Greenpoint location, I had to go. The LES location was my first Mexican food experience in New York and has always been my favorite Mexican food in NYC. I recommend the carne asada tacos and the Oaxaca Express cocktail

Ever since I heard they opened up a location in Greenpoint, my curiosity got the best of me. Me and my boyfriend decided to check it out. We ordered the nachos (best nachos I’ve had) we always get them. For drinks we ordered the cantarito al pastor - So good! Definitely recommend stopping by, decor/ambiance was great. Also, love the idea of the garden in the back!

I was already pretty excited to check out this new spot but La Contenta truly blew my expectations out of the water. Our cocktails were awesome and the guac was very good but the tacos were to die for. The pescado tacos were packed with flavor and the steak tacos were an absolute show-stealer, just perfectly cooked meat and a wonderful sauce. The service was also warm and fast. Excited to have this gem in the neighborhood!

The service is great, the staff are all really nice and hospitable. The food is pretty good but it’s extremely overpriced even for happy hour. I would say the cocktails are the most worth it for your buck. The food is great, but like I said, very expensive. It is Greenpoint tho, so it’s expected. So far, I’ve had 3-4 great experiences here. way better than hungry burrito which previously was the restaurant in this same unit.

This is one of our favorite neighborhood spots. Great Mexican food with high quality ingredients, unique flavors, and fun twists on classic dishes. We have loved every dish and drink, but the watermelon margarita, fish tacos, and fajitas are some of our favorites. The service is superb and the vibes are great. We hope this place becomes a Greenpoint staple!

We ordered food to be picked up and we're happy with everything we ordered. My son's chicken mole was delicious. I loved the rice and beans. And my daughter enjoyed her tacos. We'll definitely order from here again. I also appreciated that the staff was easily able to tell me if certain allergens were in food items. (I have a lot of food allergies) Thank you :)

Wonderful experience! We came for brunch with our baby in a stroller. The people were super hospitable and moved a table without asking to make room for him. Service was on point, drinks were inventive and tasty, food was piping hot and delicious. Will definitely be back! Our baby loved the decor and ceiling.

Wonderful food and kind service. Happy to have this new place close. You can go ambitious with not so classic options and be positively surprised.

Last week, me and my girlfriend couldn’t choose a place to eat. Luckily, we randomly struck upon La Contenta Greenpoint and was blown away. From their appetizers like the nachos( my personal favorite) and ceviche to their main courses like the enchiladas suizas, every dish was delicious. We’re definitely coming back here!

this is such a cute new restaurant to have in Greenpoint. Service was so friendly and wonderful. They even brought us a free dessert! Even gave us a tequila sample lol. Food was delicious and I am excited to go back again very soon. definitely try the Chilaquiles!
