Food was fantastic. Waiter was so kind and helpful with our post lunch plan. We had great service and he had great suggestions.

As great as the original location is this one is closer to Manhattan and more accessible to public transportation. The pizza is just as good as it's original location.

I haven’t been to Spumoni Gardens in the last 10 yrs but have good memories of them. Decided to go to the one under the Brooklyn bridge since my wife was in the mood for some Spumoni. 2 slices of square pizza and one Large Spumoni. Over priced and pizza was not good. Spumoni was excellent. Great atmosphere and service was quick and friendly. Line for the restroom was longer than the line to order. I’ll still go back but only for the Spumoni. Have to get myself back to the one by Marlboro Houses.

Incredible pizza. Def the best and no way this place should be empty with the pizza place across the road having a line !! Gotta try the Sicilian slice

Sicilian is the best of the 2 I’ve had. They’re delicious and affordable there’s nothing much needs to be said.

Amazing pizza and service! We ordered a bunch of pizzas for our wedding after party and our guests couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Delivery was on time and pizzas were fresh, truly the best!

Classic spumoni with a new decoration in a fancy neighborhood. Great pizza, delicious pasta. A bit crowded so I still prefer their OG location.

Wonderfully kind and very very delicious!! They were so lovely with our young girls and offered things before we even asked, and the pizza was delicious! This has become a new family regular spot 🥰

We had an amazing experience at spumoni - the pizza is good (we loved the speciality) but the real thing that made it is the service. We were visiting from the UK and the guy behind the counter made it his mission to give us an incredible experience. He was so lovely and went out of his way to give us a taster of the unique spumoni ice cream which was delicious. Would highly recommend it if you’re passing through the area.

We had the pear salad and the Sicilian pizza! The crust was unlike anything I’ve had before, thick and doughy. We were walking around dumbo and came across this place. The owner was so nice, we wanted to sit down and he offered us free drinks while we wait. All the waiters were extremely friendly, and I destroyed that pizza. So so good. Topped it off with a corona. Love being in a restaurant where it’s clear everyone is happy and having a good time. Can’t wait to go back!

I was in with my family on Friday night. Dom was our server. What a great guy and server. His service is top notch. His attention to detail and making sure all our food was coursed correctly and we didn't feel rushed. The dining room was packed and Dom made us feel like we were his only table. The food was outstanding. The penne vodka with the peas and mushrooms is a must. The halibut special they had that night was so fresh and delicious. We took a half tray to go since we didn't live close. I hope the next time we go back Dom is there. The place is done nice and modern. The only thing I suggest is to have something to absorb the noise from everyone else talking.

Five of us are traveling from TN and we stopped in to just grab a bottle of water. It started storming badly so we decided to wait out the rain and the manager, Jack, immediately offered us a table. He got us set up in under 5 minutes and our server, who I unfortunately do not remember his name, gave us great service. The pizza was incredible, but I am more impressed by the genuine customer service and attention Jack gave to us!

Fantastic space ,both locations have the most catering staff! The food is far TOO good for me to even describe it , just head over and taste it for yourself !

Great addition to the neighborhood. Famous for their Grandma style square pizza - it was great in addition, the other appetizers and entrees we had were tremendous

I can not thank Jack enough for making me feel like family. This was my first time at this location. He was very personable, gracious, and kind. Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself as well as the general manager. It was a very brief but pleasant interaction and it truly made me feel welcomed and valued. Thank you to James and Crystal for the wonderful experience I had at the cash register. I had way too many Sicilian slices 🤣, the arugula salad, homemade tiramisu and a decaf cappuccino. Everything was very delicious- although next time I have to remember to ask for them to not put any salad dressing. I will definitely come back here and I will always try and bring a friend with me. I highly recommend this establishment based on the customer experience I had, the quality of the food, as well as the overall look and feel of the space. Also, the lighting in the bathroom made my skin appear flawless so that’s always a plus!

We are beyond grateful to Spumoni Gardens in DUMBO for their incredible generosity! They donated over 40 delicious pizzas pies to the families at our shelter over at Lutheran Social services of NY, and it brought so much joy to everyone — especially the children. The food was not only amazing (seriously, the pizza was a hit!), but the kindness behind the gesture meant so much to our families who are going through tough times. Thank you, Spumoni Gardens, for giving back to the community in such a big way. You made our day feel extra special, and we’ll never forget it! Huge shout out to Chef Sal!!

Food was great, we had the famous Sicilian pizza and mussels, and the spumoni ice cream was amazing. Staff was so great, had good advice on what we needed to try and made our time in the Bronx so much fun.

I live in Brooklyn and ate here about a month ago because I’m not from here and have to try all the legit pizza in the region, duh. But I just realized I never left a review! Food was excellent, we got a table right away and the service was primo! Rodney was our waiter and especially great. He was very quick but personable and we love his raspy voice. He is so sweet and very New York at the same time. My boyfriend is newly sober and inquired about a nonalcoholic beer which they do not have but Rodney gave him an alternative soft drink option and said “I know the feeling “ which just made my guy feel comfortable and light. Rodney really made the experience feel special and like we were in the presence of family. Idk what days he’s there but if you go to this location definitely request Rodney as your waiter!

I took my friend from out of town to get some pizza and Jack gave us the best service and made us feel very welcomed. Thanks for spreading love the Brooklyn way Jack (Jacques)!! :)

This place is a hidden gem. If you are in the area you must stop. Walking distance from DUMBO and a great place to cool off and grab a delicious meal or slice of pizza. The spumoni ice cream was yummy too. Rodney our server was outstanding. Prices were also very good in my opinion. Met the owner who was lovely and she told us this restaurant is their second location that just opened in December. Their flagship location , still open and 4x bigger, is located on 86th St near Coney Island. Don't miss out. Visit one of their locations for some great food! You wont be disappointed.

So happy to finally try their 2nd location after being a diehard fan of Spumoni’s since 2012. Let me just say this, they didn’t disappoint! Took my best friend here and he remarked that this location was even better than the first one. The dude was in heaven with every soft, crunchy pillowy bite. The chef’s kiss in the end was obviously the Spumoni trio flavor dessert. Now I can easily access Spumoni’s by ferry into Dumbo vs. a 2-3 hr trek towards Coney. LFG!!! 💪💪💪🍕🍕🍕

Really great slices, friendly staff and owner. Loved the marinara and grandma slice. Also amazing ice cream !!

The squares here absolutely slap! There's no better way to say it. Perfect crispy crunch on the outside and light fluffy flavorful inside. The sauce is a perfect blend of fresh, sweet, and savory. The cheese give it that body every pizza needs while staying gooey and melty. At only $4.50 a slice, this gets a 10/10 would eat again and again

I have been going to the original L&B since I was a kid and I’m SO happy that they opened a location in Dumbo so I don’t have to make a journey out of getting my favorite pizza. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the kind staff who treated me like an old friend and even gave me a cup of spumoni while I waited for my pie. The pizza at this location is the exact same as the original location, and it’s my favorite pizza in NYC by far!

M
Michael Sciortino

Fantastic legendary Sicilian pizza that is finally in Dumbo. I hope they get Italian ices for the spring/summer months. My only other suggestion for them is to offer half vodka and classic pies as I think that would be a home run.

G
Gabbie Goldberg-Kosinski

Let me tell ya’ll somthin’! The famous L&B Sicilian pie is my roman empire that I’ve been thinking about for like the last decade since the last time I had it 😅 so when my friend and I went to NYC for my birthday today- WE HAD TO GO BACK! We made it to the newer location and from start to finish it was fantastic. First off- DANIELLLAAAAAAAAAA set the tone and made the experience a total mood!!! An absolute sweetheart as well as her dad who I’m assuming is the manager/owner of some sort- Making sure the whole experience was amazing and a fun personality. Our waiter was a peach too! Ty for letting us order last minute calamari w no judgement 🤣🤣🤣💖💖💖 TY also for the spumoni ice on the way out for my bday too!! Cant wait for the fam to eat the catering amount of food I brought home too 🤣🤣🥳🥳

It seemed like a myth for awhile, but happy to report they are finally open. The interior is tastefully done, the trademark Sicilian pies taste great (up to par with the Gravesend location, from my perspective), and the service was also very nice. Can't beat the rainbow spumoni to finish the meal.

T
Tony Russo

The best square pie in NYC period. Perfect balance of crunch & airiness with every bite. Highly recommend and they just opened a new location on the other side of Brooklyn!

I would always go to the Bensonhurst location but it would always be a hike from where I live! I’m so glad L&B opened up in Dumbo! Their pizza is SO SO good I mean SO SO SO good. The guy at the register was so sweet. Highly recommend L&B for your pizza cravings!

A
Andrew Petagna

It LOOKS really off from in original inside, very polished, not in a bad way. This location has its own character, but growing up a few blocks from the original, it is 100% the same slice.

Growing up, I spent countless weekends at the original L&B location on 86th Street—it's been a part of my family's traditions for generations. Visiting the new DUMBO spot brought back all those memories and more. They’ve managed to deliver the same classic pizza and spumoni that made L&B a Brooklyn icon. The turnaround time on food was quick once seated, though there was a short wait for a table. If you're planning to visit on a weekend, I definitely recommend making a reservation to avoid the wait. Thank you to the team at L&B for keeping the legacy alive. It means a lot to be able to share the same experiences—and flavors—with my own kids that I cherished growing up. Here’s to creating new memories while honoring old ones.

Took my family here while they were in town for dinner and they loved it! Got here on a Wednesday evening around 7ish and we were sat right away. To be fair, I did call about 2 hours before and they took my “reservation”. The gentleman on the phone was super kind and helpful. We got a Caesar salad and then the classic Sicilian pie with sausage, pepperoni, and mushrooms. They said it was the best pizza they ever had. They consistently asked how they could get it shipped to where they live (sorry to the staff, lol!). As someone who lives in BK, I’ve been trying to get to the OG location so I’m super excited to have this one opened now closer to where I live. It was worth the wait. The crust was PERFECT. Crispy on the bottom with a good crunch but soft and doughy in the middle. Sauce was delicious, as was the cheese. My only feedback would be for more toppings. I’ll just have to order extra next time :).

Had dinner here last Saturday with my bf and really enjoyed ourselves! It's a straight up Italian-American restaurant with New York-style pizza, the famous Sicilian pizza, pasta, seafood, salads, heros, and spumoni - and there's a takeout counter as well as an eat-in dining area. We ordered a Sicilian pizza with half marinara sauce, half vodka sauce and pepperoni, and the fried calamari, and were impressed with all of it. The calamari was fresh and not overcooked and the batter was wonderfully light and crispy. Summery and fresh tasting. I really enjoyed it. I'd thought the vodka sauce on the Sicilian pizza sounded sort of like a gimmick, but it was delicious! And I'm happy to say the regular Sicilian slice lives up to its reputation. We were too full to get pasta or heros or dessert, but will be back for more!

My husband and I have been loyal patrons of the 86th Street location for years, and it’s always been our go to spot for the best Italian American comfort food, packed with all the classic dishes everyone love. We were so excited to hear about a new location opening closer to home and couldn’t wait to try it out. The pricing is very reasonable, portions are generous, and the staff is incredibly friendly, you feel right at home the moment you walk in! Since this location is newly opened, they’re still finding their rhythm, so you might encounter some delays, a few minor issues, and a more limited menu for now. That said, I know how amazing they’ll be once everything is running smoothly, so I plan to give it a couple of months before returning. In the meantime, I highly recommend to stick with their pizza, rigatoni with vodka sauce, and baked clams.

Walked across the brooklyn bridge. Great classic sicilian pizza with a brooklyn beer draft in the dumbo location. Talk about a perfect tourist day!

Superb! As good as it gets Sicilian. Try the Spumoni, the pistachio. As George Costanza would say,”This is a taste explosion!” Super helpful and friendly staff. Left my credit card like a dummy, they handled it. Even gave us an extra slices as first timers! I dream about that pizza. Might have to go to Chicago just to compare and say, “Ehhh…dis’ ain’t no L&B Sicilian! Get oudda’ heere.”

C

Pretty wild that you cant add toppings to the slices. Went in just now and was told youre only able to order plain squares or plain round pizza slices. I’ll come back sometime to sit down for a full pizza but today was just looking for a slice with added sausage or mushroom etc. That’s a pretty bizarre policy to not allow toppings on the slices, gotta say. We did try a couple weeks ago just after they opened the plain square slice and it was really good. Second visit: this place shines on a dine-in experience. The service is fast and friendly, seating is comfortable, everything is well lit. They have a full Italian food menu. The fried zuch and arancini were awesome. I think its best to dine in here. The takeout is fine too for slices. But again downside being you cant add toppings to any slices.

The food and service here were amazing! My girlfriend and I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and made our way here for dinner. It was the perfect place to come while hungry. We arrived for dinner and were seated in seconds, with servers moving around tables to accommodate us with a packed restaurant. We ordered the garlic bread parmigiana, 2 of the world famous L&B pizza slices, and the rigatoni bolognese pasta. All the dishes tasted delicious, and we were stuffed by the end of it! The pasta was our favorite. It had some of the best bolonese sauce I've had, and the dollop of cream on top elevated it to a top-tier dish! On top of the great food, the atmosphere was amazing and felt like a true pizza shop. And the service was amazing! I dont recall our servers name, but he was awesome, friendly, and helped us pick out a delicious dinner. He was always attentive to our table and quick to help and take our orders. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious dinner!

Food & experience was a 10/10. I had tried their original world pizza various times at their 86st location, quality and taste was the same at their new location. Me and my husband were satisfied. Shoutout to our waiter Jerry who made our experience phenomenal.

T

Probably the best service I’ve ever had in a pizzeria. My party went to the other L&B and had to make the 30 mins trip to get this location. The staff were kind, accommodating and understanding - seating me immediately, giving me cold water on a hot day and even offered to give me a slice off our pie early since I was hungry and waiting. As for the L&B pie - a crispy, thick, rich crust with a simple tomato forward pie that ultimately ends in a balanced bite of cheese, crunchy side crust and a pillowy savory tomato bite - as good as it simple. Highly recommend.

We had a giant salad and rigatoni with garlic and broccoli excellent I really wanted pizza but didn’t have room we also had the meatball appetizer and of course spumoni for dessert.

Best pizza from our week visit to New York. Atmosphere, service, selections all spot on. Grab two slices of pizza and a couple of beers. We walked the Brooklyn Bridge from the financial district just for a slice. Well, worth it! Perfect afternoon. Thanks to everyone behind the counter!

I've wanted to try Spumoni Gardens for a while. I'm a big fan of Sicilian pizza, any pizza really, and I've heard great things. This new location was much closer to where I was so I came here. I've never been to the original so I can't compare, but this was an excellent Sicilian! Service was quick and friendly and the quality was fantastic. I also really appreciate the small counter to sit and eat at if you don't plan on dining in.

The best pizza in NYC!!! Get a square and some spumoni (thank me later). I grew up in Brooklyn and we used to enjoy the pizza and food at their original location. This location in Dumbo delivers the same quality of food.

I am from Tucson, Arizona and this place was recommended to me. I took me and my 2 girls here along with a friend and we ALL loved it! The Sicilian slice was amazing 😋 the margarita slice was soooo good. I will never taste pizza the same. My friend could not do gluten but they had other options that were amazing as well. I wish I stayed longer in New York to try more items on the menu. I 100% recommend this place!

Went there Friday with my family. The food was amazing. We had the L&B Sicilian Pizza, and a few other items. The service was perfect. We were greeted by Dom, he quickly took our drink order and Lou told us the specials and guided us on what to order. Both servers constantly checked on our table. Of course we ended the night with spumoni. The only negative part of the night was the host/manager Steve, he made us feel a little uncomfortable. Some of his comments were uncalled for. He came over to our table several times and would say every time your server will be right with you. We were all a little confused why he would repeat himself like that. He also tried several times to have a conversation with us while we were talking. He should learn how to read a table and be mindful of what he says. Besides that we had a great night and definitely will be back.

I am in town for a reunion with college friends. We can be a bit much when we are all together to say the least. We had the Chef’s table (the first one in Dumbo), and were dutifully warned to pace ourselves, we arrogantly did not listen. The food kept coming and coming, and if it weren’t for my tastebuds powering me through, my stomach might not have stretched enough. It felt like we were with family, the entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. What an experience. Thank you to my friend Mo for coordinating with Dom and Jack for an unforgettable evening. I highly recommend.

Review: L&B Spumoni Gardens ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had the spaghetti and fettuccine at L&B Spumoni Gardens, and both were excellent—classic, hearty, and full of flavor. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauces were rich and satisfying. Service was absolutely perfect—friendly, attentive, and quick without being rushed. Overall, a great experience that lives up to the hype. Will definitely return!

Our service here was out of this world. Our server went above and beyond for us and we had a wonderful time on a cold snowy evening. You can truly taste the love in this food. Spumoni’s is a classic. To die for.

We’re long time customers of the Gravesend location and didn’t expect the DUMBO spot to hold up but it was phenomenal! Sicilian slices were perfect, as always, and we were able to get some of our favorite entrees! Definitely going to be back to try some of the specialty slices they have only here!

I purchased a Sicilian slice at opening time on Sunday so I was the only one there. I was able to get a corner slice and it did not disappoint. The bake beautiful, I only wish there was more sauce given their reputation. I will definitely try their original location in Brooklyn another time.

Quaint restaurant. Our waiter, Stephen was so sweet and attentive. He made our visit extra special. His suggestions were on point. Amazing upside down Sicilian! True Brooklyn pizza and sauce, skip the trendy places and head to a true Italian old school joint, your stomach will thank you! Meatballs and pasta and vodka chicken roll were incredible too!

I cannot stress how good the Sicilian slice is!!!!! I have been going to L&Bs since my childhood, and I’m now 33, and cannot leave NY without my favorite slice. It’s hands down - NY’s best pizza. I’m sorry, but I don’t care for a tussle on this issue. The bottom is crispy, the middle is perfect soft and fluffy, and the sauce on top….outstanding. I can’t tell you in anymore words how much I love this place. Stop in, have a slice, bring a pie home, and tell all your friends the competition is over. God bless you guys! Can’t wait to be back home and sharing a slice with my loved ones.

Perfect! So happy to have this DUMBO outpost. I've wanted to try the original location for some time, but it's a bit far... A takeout area by the slice on one dide and casual dining on the other. The restaurant was filled with families and friends. We started with the fried calamari and it was excellent! The chicken parm with vodka sauce was very good and the veggie side was surprisingly great. The veggies were seasoned well and crisp-tender. Both dishes were generous and all prices were reasonable. Let's get to the pizza...the square pie brought back memories of when you could get a great sicilian slice at your local pizzeria. The sauce to cheese to crust ratio was perfect and the sauce was delicious (super bright tomato flavor). I loved it. Service was the highlight. Our server Rodney was friendly, welcoming and really the perfect mix of available without being overbearing. Did he come from the original location because for a minute I felt like I was in Bensonhurst/Gravesend...truly, he's the best.

I can’t say enough good things about this pizzeria! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh ingredients, perfect crust, and so flavorful. The garlic parm wings were amazing! On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. You can really tell they care about their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this spot to friends and family!

I visited the original location and wanted to see if this one held up as it is much easier to access. They are know for their Sicilian pie, or as the waiter informed me the “good one.” It’s definitely up there with the best of them. Fluffy thick pizza with cheese on bottom and sauce on top. Definitely will be back to this location since it’s much closer. Wait staff was friendly, and service was fast.

We visited this place and were absolutely impressed! The beer was amazing — fresh and full of flavor. The pizza was outstanding as well: perfectly crispy crust, rich toppings, and just delicious overall. But what truly made our experience exceptional was the service. A special thank you to Jack — he's the kind of person who doesn’t just do his job, he puts his heart into it. When people like him are working, you can truly feel the difference. He brought real energy and care to the experience, and it’s because of people like Jack that you can really feel the spirit of New York. Thank you so much — we’ll definitely be coming back!

L&B Spumoni is a classic spot known for its legendary square slice—and in my opinion, the best white slice I’ve had. It was my first visit, though my husband has been raving about it for ages. While there’s seating available, we opted for takeout and enjoyed our slices with a park view. Service was quick and efficient.

Pizza is awesome and never disappoints!!! But for the first time I tried the seafood and it was so fresh and delicious! We had the seafood salad and the mussels. The red sauce was sooo good and we also tried the artichokes. Dessert was phenomenal, the Spumoni ice cream and the tiramisu was delicious. We didn’t have one bad dish. I absolutely recommend. Dominic our waiter was the best!

I love the Sicilian slices from this place and it's what they're known for and they have been in this location for years. The sauce is amazing, The cheese is fresh and the crust is perfect. When I go I usually walk up to the window for my slices and there's a separate window to order if you want a whole pie. They have outdoor picnic tables and also have indoor seating but I've never used anything other than the outdoor seating. Overall this is an actual place of visit if you're a fan of pizza and you like Sicilian slices too like me

My first ever NY style pizza & I got to try both the thin slice & their square slice. I preferred the square slice, but both were very good. The whole pizza is the large round. Super friendly & funny staff. There wasn't a long wait when we arrived either.

This new spot in Dumbo and second location of the pizza institution is incredible! Everything about it is delicious, warm, and welcoming, with a big space that’s great for groups. Shoutout to the kindest, coolest server Rodney! Their Sicilian pizza is insane. Thick and doughy, unlike any crust I’ve had before, almost half-baked in the middle like a great cookie. Their sauce is sweet and comforting and their baked clams were delicious. Of course, you’ve gotta get the spumoni ice cream for dessert - its marzipan flavor and crunch is unlike any spumoni I’ve had. Can’t wait to come back to try their regular pizza, a salad, and more of that spumoni. 5 stars!!!!

Pizza slices are so very good but where is the AC in the middle of July? It is barely on, so m inside sweating while eating pizza. Sweltering and I’m just sitting eating. The poor employees. Surely the owner is making enough money at his nonstop busy restaurants to supply a comfortable environment for patrons and employees.

Had a slice of pizza and it’s the first to come inside of the restaurant. It’s nice I could eat inside on the counter!

A wonderful addition to the Dumbo restaurant scene. We had a fun Saturday Lunch with a large family group. Thank you all .

It’s a nice place and Louie was a fantastic host. The Sicilian pizza had great flavors, the pasta pesto with shrimp was also good and the Brooklyn beer tasted great.

After a beautiful day in Dumbo with my family, we decided to head to L&B for dinner. We were a party of seven (four adults and three children), and as expected on a Saturday night, the restaurant was packed. When we approached the hostess stand, the experience wasn’t very welcoming. The hostess seemed irritated and, when asked about the wait time, responded in a scolding tone: “If you don’t have a reservation, it’s going to be a while.” It left us feeling a bit uncomfortable, almost as if we had done something wrong just by showing up. Thankfully, a waitress named Danielle walked by at that exact moment with a smile and reassured us it would not be an issue. She quickly got us seated, and to our good fortune, she was also the one who ended up taking care of our table. Danielle completely turned our night around — she was warm, attentive, and made sure both the adults and children felt comfortable. She even went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly despite the crowded atmosphere. We did notice the hostess glaring at our table throughout the evening, clearly unhappy that we were seated. At one point, Danielle even assertively but professionally reminded her to calm down and just breathe. What started off as a horrible, insulting welcome ended with an amazing dining experience, thanks entirely to Danielle. To management: Danielle deserves recognition for her professionalism and hospitality. At the same time, I hope attention is given to the way guests are greeted at the door. First impressions matter, and we noticed we weren’t the only ones treated poorly by the hostess that night. Thank you again, Danielle, for saving the evening and reminding us why good service makes all the difference.

Yummy pizza with great service. Staff was really accommodating and nice. I wish the toppings were baked in vs just topped over the base for individual orders. Calamari was great with just a light yet crunchy batter. Same as the mozzarella sticks.

Awesome pizza! I went by mistake looking for another pizza restaurant that’s right in front but it was already closed, then I found this one and it was such an amazing surprise! Very kind staff and service. Although the Sicilian’s one is their most popular one and it was very good, their mergherita was just perfect!

Stopped here for what I thought would just be a slice of pizza until my husband decided we should order a whole pie! We did half tomato and cheese and half buffalo chicken. The size of the pie was unreal and definitely apt for more than two people! We ate it straight fresh out of the oven and the quality of the ingredients was good. The service was not the quickest but you should see how busy these guys are! All the ovens are fired up and on the go, and the manager was apologetic and kept us in the loop. Definitely would recommend if you are in the area. There is a table service section and they do offer pasta dishes as well as pizza.

All the classics at this traditional Italian restaurant are great. Try the arancini balls, the chicken Marsala (to take a break from all the red sauce) and of course, their traditional Sicilian square. Pretty casual setting with a counter service on one side and full service on the other. Service was good when they actually came to the table. Something was going on that night that was very distracting to our waiter, so I'd give it another chance.

Came here for a late lunch with several people on a weekday. I was seated rapidly and the server came with the menus in no time. The size of the pasta dishes was big albeit a tad pricey. Fettucine alfredo was very good. Pizza was also good and full of flavor. I did not rank thrm 5 star due to 20% compulsory gratuity for parties over 6 persons

Recently visited Spumoni and loved the pizza- We were recommended Spumoni by a native New Yorker and were impressed. The pizza slices were exactly what we expected when we thought of a NY pizza. Rich, creamy, big in portion, and just filling. The slices did have a bit too much grease for our liking, but nothing that quick napkin pat down couldn’t fix. This restaurants location also makes it easy for you to get a box and sit along the river admiring the Manhattan skyline. Truly an unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend.

Family friendly casual dining. Service is always very friendly. Came with different friends on each experience and they enjoyed all the dishes, where I found them to be average, and red and pizza sauce was more on the heavy concentrated side, so not good for my sensitive stomach. They enjoyed the Sicilian pizza, baked clams, Caesars salad, malfade with sausage ragu special. The pistachios spumoni was refreshing!

I mean the pizza is good but how can you turn away customers willing to pay money when you have plenty of open seats? Hostess was very rude and clearly did not want to be working tonight, lost a customer because of her .

The spumoni was excellent but their Scicilian slice of pizza was nothing to boast about. IMO

We tried the square pizza and both agreed that it was a very mediocre “slice”. We came pretty late, so maybe they had something to do with the lackluster experience

D

Lowkey disappointing… workers very nice, but pizza was burnt at the bottom, a bit lukewarm, and not as flavorful as I wanted it to be. Knots dry too

Michael

Pizza is fine. It does not compare to the original location unfortunately. The pies are underbaked and have a layer of undercooked dough right below the layer of cheese. Something has to be off with the ovens, if they left the pies in the oven a few more minutes I think it would be perfect just like the OG location. As of now it’s a mediocre slice sadly.

$14 for 2 slices. Service was really good but the pizza wasn’t impressive for that price. Way too small of a slice and they were rushed in the oven. Barely heated and still room temp. The ice cream and Italian ice are also unimpressive. They taste like what you’d find in a college or hospital cafeteria - shipped in from a supply facility in some other state. But thankfully they gave cup filled samples first, so we didn’t waste our money on that too. If the pizza was $3 a slice and the ice cream was better quality I think they’d get a 4 star.

We had reservations with friends from out of town. Were really excited to see them and have good food. The food was great, gluten free square pizza was so yummy, as other food that was confirmed by my family and our friends. We waited for a while when we got in, the host told us they are setting up a table. Then he forgot about us, apparently, and my husband had to remind him about us and then we were seated. I have worked in fine dining restaurant industry for over 10 years and Im not picky, but I know when the service is not what it’s supposed to be. The waiter was acting like he was doing us a favor and at the end after we paid we were clearly rushed to clear the table. When my order arrived I wanted to confirm that it was indeed gluten free pizza and the waiter was like: yeah yeah (in a dismissive type of manner). Nevertheless we enjoyed the company of our friends and the food was really good. Service left much to be desired. I would not come back because if that.

The food was good but the quality has fell off over the years. And when I went today I was met with a hostile server, he was treating the white guests better and looking at me and my girlfriend like we didn’t belong there, we are poc. While eating we were stared at by the server which made the whole experience uncomfortable, its like he couldn’t wait for us to leave and the store wasn’t even busy it was practically empty. He wouldn’t let us sit in the dining area because it was for “table service only” but let a group of white people who got the same order as us sit in the dining area. Just an uncomfortable experience as I’ve been going to their other location for years and have never experienced this. Avoid if you are a person of color… and too much salt on the pizza the quality in this location is horrible… just like the servers racist attitude…

First time at Spumonis and I wasn’t that blown away as someone who had had a lot of pizza in NJ/NYC - this place is pretty average across the board. Prices are respectable for such a hyped spot. Server was really sweet to us.

I have been wanting to try the famous Scilian Slice and it was sadly just okay for me. It was crunchy and the sauce was tangy. I also tried a sample of the spumoni.

Strong 3/10 Sicilian pizza. Way less cheese than I’d like. I can see how someone could really appreciate just the sauce and crust but I don’t like either of those either. Sauce was nothing special, maybe a touch bitter. Crust is a denser than I’d like. Most people I went with disliked it as well with. Couple of exceptions. Good service.

Too much confusion between staff and online orders. Calamari was unseasoned. Mussels were ok. Pizza as always, and by pizza I mean the Sicilian square, was great which is why we keep coming back. But frankly, this place used to be better.

I recently visited L&B Spumoni Gardens and ordered a few dishes to try. The Shrimp Oreganata with linguini ended up being served last, about 30 minutes after the first dishes arrived. I’m not sure if it was forgotten or if it just takes longer to prepare, but the wait felt too long, and by the time it came, I was already full. Unfortunately, the flavor was just average—nothing that really stood out. The fried calamari, on the other hand, had a nice texture and was cooked well. Lightly crisp on the outside and tender inside—an enjoyable appetizer. The highlight for me was definitely the World Famous L&B Sicilian Pie. It’s exactly what people rave about—thick crust, plenty of cheese, a nice crunch, and a rich, satisfying flavor. I tried the medium size, and if you’re visiting with two people, I’d recommend ordering one medium per person for a full experience. The ambience is casual and feels more like a takeout pizza joint, but there are tables if you want to dine in. If you prefer something quick, they also have a bar counter where you can enjoy your order right away. Service was okay—nothing bad, but nothing exceptional either. Overall, it’s worth visiting for the pizza, but be prepared for possible waits and manage expectations on some of the other dishes. I’d rate my experience 3 stars overall.

The OG location has been on my list forever, just didn't get the chance to go yet. After trying the Dumbo spot, might not happen any time soon. While the margherita slice is good, it is not worth the $7+ price. Still bit soggy after reheat, taste not that memorable and slice on the small side. Sitdown dining area was packed though.

C
Chuck Wood

This was for sit down dining. The rating is based on service rather than food quality. Had extremely slow service, so much so the people who sat down after us, at more than one table, received their food before we did. We ordered spaghetti and garlic bread so it's a bit of a mystery why that would take such a long time to prepare, especially since we got the garlic bread way before the spaghetti. Then to top it off when it was time to pay they accidentally charged me for the people who were sitting next to us, they said they were going to fix it, they didn't. I called back they said they were going to look into it, But incorrect charge didn't get fixed. We expected a delicious and satisfying meal, what we got was bad service and me having to beg them to fix their mistake.

No, no, no. Relied on 4.2 star review that made me decide to go here. When we got there did not like what I saw. All the pizzas on display looked like they were there for many hours. My best friend tried one and did not like it, period, as I suspected. So I went for the chicken parmegian. Was not bad but I had much better tasting chicken parmegian. The texture of chicken felt like it has been prepared hours earlier. We found this location to be pricey and was empty most of the time. Very disappointed. I live in North Carolina but was native to Brooklyn 50 years ago and honestly can't recommend this one. Sorry and hope you take this as constructive criticism to improve quality of what you are serving.

Well, we both left half eaten slices. We went to Spumoni Gardens Dumbo very hungry and eager for some great pizza. With lines around the block at Juliana’s and Grimaldi’s, one could reason this new place across Old Fulton Street has to be good. It was not, a 6.5 on the “just one bite” scale. The thick crust just did not come together with the cheese and over saucing on the Sicilian slice. Boo.

C
Cam

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEIR WEBSITE. after 2 hours and 3 phone calls, the manager, Jack, advised me to order from Uber Eats. So I did. Order came and it was like they gave me pizza from the freezer. Never again. Will stick to the OG location.

One of the worst. They charged me $64 for 6 slice pizza. Who in the world would eat a soggy veggie pizza for $64? The service member was so inconsiderate, she recommended ordering the all topping pizza without saying each topping is $8 extra. Please avoid this place. Better give your money to anyone needy people instead of eating at this place

T

Be careful of a scam there — they included three items on the bill that we didn’t order and refused to split the bill, so we couldn’t notice right away.

I have never in my life sent back a salad but this was bad enough to warrant it. A Caesar salad with absolutely no flavor, no salt or pepper or cheese or garlic, it was as if they smeared mayo on still-wet limp romaine. I wish I could say the entrees were better but the pappardelle with pork ragu and chicken sorrentino were nearly inedible, again with very little flavor, poor quality meats, and sauces that surely came from a can with no spices or herbs or seasoning of any kind. The slice of pizza we had was okay, there is so much good pizza in NYC this was passable. The staff was polite and accommodating but we had two servers double-waiting on us as it seems they were not clear on where their sections were. Truly one of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time and extremely overpriced for what it was. I wish I could un-eat it and go across the street to Grimaldi’s.

Put our name down at around 5 pm and were told it would be about an hour wait. No problem. Then about 20 minutes later we get a call from the restaurant letting us know the wait would actually be closer to two hours. This is double what they said before, so it’s surprising, but we say okay. At 7 pm, we call to check on our table and are told that it’s actually ready. Except no one called us and we had to call to even find out it was ready. We get there and multiple tables are empty, with people being seated right away. Clearly the guy taking the “waitlist” just forgot about us and was seating people off the street without actually honoring their own waitlist system. The service was a bit lackluster. We ordered a salad, meatballs and a pie. We received the meatballs first then the pizza almost immediately, leaving us no time to eat the meatballs without having the pizza get cold. The salad then arrived after the pizza, which is again not ideal as the restaurant should know people prefer to have their salad first. The food is overpriced, but that’s somewhat to be expected from a touristy place. Meatball “side” comes with 3 fairly big meatballs that were juicy and tasty, paired with very basic and somewhat bland marinara sauce. The salad tasted good. The pizza itself was fine, but it didn’t taste as good as the original L&B location. By the time we got to it after having the meatballs and salad, it was lukewarm. In all, I would not recommend dining in at this place. If you want to try the pizza, just get a couple slices from their counter service and eat it at the bridge. But if you actually want to try L&B true pizza, make the trek out to the original location because this Dumbo location is not it. We ended up spending $100 after tax. Granted, the pizza is big but it’s still way too much for what’s mostly considered a casual spot.
