Little Hen Albee Square Reviews
I had such an amazing experience at Little Hen! It’s the cutest tea spot and perfect for going with your girls. The whole place is so aesthetic and makes the experience feel really special. Our waitress Fatima was awesome,so sweet, caring, and attentive. She explained all the teas to us and helped us choose what we’d like, which made everything even better. Overall such a great experience. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a cute tea spot with friends! 🫖🌸
Beautiful place with the flower themes reminded me of a pretty wedding dress shop. All the attention to details are shown in the tea sets, plates, and a cute little timer for the tea. My server, Bobbi, wore a flower shirt that matched the decor theme and made sure I enjoyed my afternoon tea experience. Tea is excellent, food is okay, will definitely come back again. It lifted my mood and made a better day for me
I had an amazing experience at Little Hen. The atmosphere, music, and food was 10/10. It was my first time attending this restaurant and didn’t know what to expect. My server Fatima was very helpful in explaining the menu items. Her service was top tier and would definitely come back again!
Little Hen was amazing! Santiago was amazing! The owner/ manager was so kind! The hostess was beautiful! We had a time! Now I’m in Tea party mode.
Genuinely the best restaurant I’ve ever been to! Everything on the menu looked amazing and the staff were super kind and accommodating. The matcha chia pudding was to die for!
Even though we’re in the middle of winter, I felt as though I was literally sitting in and enjoying this quaint little space in the summer. It was so warm and cozy!! The staff there were patient and helpful, food was delicious, and they gave my friend a beautiful rose for her birthday. Order drinks with the beautiful teapots. It will have you feeling like it’s high tea time. Five Stars
My favorite brunch spot! Reasonably priced, gorgeous interior, and generous portions. I’ve been going here semi-regularly for the better part of a year and it’s always lovely. If you have a bigger group it’s probably better to book a reservation but I’ve had no problems walking in with two people. I think the french toast and waffles are especially good as well as the scones. The savory options are also delicious. I love all the flowers !!
Our server Bobby was great. She was host, server, busser, food runner and photographer all in one. Note that their last reservation time is for a half hour before they close. It seemed to be two servers, a busser and barista on staff so it did take a little to get sat but they were truly going the fastest that they could. Service was nice and attentive. Overall the food was okay, it didn’t taste bad but it wasn’t really anything to write home about. That being said the rose tea latte was to die for and now I keep craving one. Would definitely go again just earlier in the day, we left an hour after they closed and it was still pretty full
We had such a wonderful experience at Little Hen in NYC. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, with charming décor and a cozy, elegant atmosphere that makes it feel special the moment you walk in. The breakfast was fantastic—everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The presentation of the dishes was just as impressive as the taste. Our daughter ordered pancakes and they added a candle after we mentioned being in the city for her birthday. The service was warm, attentive, and friendly without ever feeling rushed. Roberta made sure we had everything we needed and happy to answer questions and give recommendations. Little Hen is perfect for a relaxed brunch, a special breakfast date, or just treating yourself. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful breakfast spot in the city.
The staff were all so friendly, accommodating, and more! My friend and I planned a little get together before Christmas. We had their afternoon tea set. Their sandwiches were okay, but the scones (and the accompaniments: clotted cream, lemon curd, strawberry compote) and macaroons were really good! Tea selection was great. I enjoyed mine (The Queen’s Guard). We enjoyed our afternoon tea get together with some cocktails on the side too, anddd a shot of (tea)quila.
I came here for afternoon tea and loved it. I have been to a few in the city, this one gave bigger food portions than the other ones. The decorations are really pretty, the staff was really nice and sweet. The only con was that the tables are so close to each other, that it feel like you are in top of one another. Other than that, I recommend this place- very cute for a girls day out.
This restaurant is absolutely stunning a true hidden gem and one of my favorite places for brunch in NYC. The service is top tier from the moment you walk in, and the ambiance is perfect for brunch, dinner dates, or a night out with friends. The cucumber mint martini is a must-try, it's refreshing, smooth, and easily one of the best cocktails I’ve had in the city. The Bourbon French Toast with bacon is my top recommendation and worth coming back for every time. It’s rich, flavorful, and honestly unforgettable. I would love to see the menu expand with a few more options, because with the quality of food, drinks, and atmosphere they offer, this place could easily have lines wrapped around the block. If you're looking for great brunch spots in NYC, amazing cocktails, or beautiful restaurants with incredible service, this is the place. Highly recommended.
Such a dreamy, fairy-tale corner tucked right inside the West Village. The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I felt wrapped in warmth, poetry, and this soft little feeling of being loved. My friend and I came for afternoon tea with prosecco to celebrate my tiny birthday, and it was simply magical. Our waitress, Roberta 🩰was the sweetest—cute, friendly, and genuinely caring. She made us feel special from the moment we sat down. Because of her, the whole experience felt even more joyful. We ended up staying for over two hours, just soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying every moment. I’m already planning to come back. This place has officially become one of my favorite spots in the West Village. ✨💛
A trendy and chic brunch spot in the city!💜 Little Hen hones down on the details: the dining experience, ambiance, and menu items. Atmosphere: The restaurant sits on a street corner and adorns purple florals all along the outside. The interior continues the floral trend with its wall decor and centerpieces. Service: Despite not having a reservation, the host was understanding and was able to seat us quickly before future reservations arrived. Our waitress was kind and attentive to each table even while juggling a variety of requests of customers! Menu items: We got the Carbonara Omelet, Scrambled Eggs & Carnitas Tacos, and Chia Pudding. The tacos easily became one of the best items I ate while visiting the city! I highly recommend reserving a spot if you plan to visit the city. It's 100% worth having this on the itinerary.
I love The Little Hen!! This was my first time at the NYC location, I’ve been to both of the ones in Florida before. The atmosphere is true to their brand, very quaint, and comfortable. My carbonara omelette and mimosa were amazing. It was an early Wednesday morning and perfect for our party of three. We made a reservation but there was no wait. Stellar service from our server, Bobby, who was very sweet and attentive. I never have a bad experience at a Little Hen location. 10/10 recommendation.
Wandered into wonderful this morning, at this lovely little place. Thought it would be mid but wow was I wrong. Roberta, was impeccable in her service (as was everyone else) and all were so cheerful and ready to engage. The Mint Martini was superb; I had two and would’ve had three. The Club sandwich (served with crispy hot fries, carefully crafted with flavor) was just perfect, with its fresh egg and smoked bacon. Coffee was rich and flavorful and did I mention the staff was really wonderful? I would definitely come back and recommend for locals and visitors alike. This is a new hidden gem on Bleeker but I’m sure not for much longer. See you soon!
Visited Little Hen for Afternoon Tea with friends. We loved their wide selection of teas and delicious finger sandwiches, scones and assorted desserts. Everything was prepared fresh and service was warm and friendly. The seating was comfortable and cafes décor was perfect for afternoon tea. I’ll definitely need again to try out their brunch menu! 10/10 recommend! 😊
Had an amazing dinner experience at Little Hen—Mexico’s newest French-inspired restaurant. The ambiance was elegant and cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening. Chef Frank was incredibly kind and attentive, personally recommending some of their standout dishes: the Lobster Bisque Cappuccino, Crab Quiche, Crab Cake, and the Marble Foie Gras Terrine—each one was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We also tried two rose cocktails that were as gorgeous as they were tasty. The service, food, and overall vibe made for a fantastic night. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a refined and memorable dining experience in the area!
I fell in love with Little Hen on Bleecker Street and will definitely return for brunch and afternoon tea. Recently, I brought a friend here, and it did not disappoint. We were seated at a beautiful table for two in a delightful atmosphere with lots of flowers and soothing music. Our server, John, provided exceptional service and skillfully managed everything we ordered—he is truly magnificent at his job. The afternoon tea experience was unforgettable, featuring freshly made, reasonably priced finger food, macarons, and scrumptious scones with accompanying sides. Our teas were delicious and generously portioned for two people. One unique aspect of Little Hen is their dress code, which adds a touch of elegance to the experience. We dressed up nicely, though some others didn't adhere to the guidelines. Overall, our experience was fantastic—the service was excellent, and the food was prepared fresh with care. I look forward to returning with my other friends for brunch or tea time.
Really loved the place and the vibe. The food and drinks were pretty good. Our server seemed new, but it was all good—she did a good job.
The place is very beautiful, with lovely décor. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I only have a small observation regarding the Rose Tea Latte I ordered: it might be more comfortable to serve it in a glass cup with a handle (like traditional tea cups), since the current glass gets quite hot and can be difficult to hold.
Came here the other day for brunch and it was delightful! I've been one other time and went to the original in Miami and it always delivers. The menu is quite varied so depending on how hungry you're feeling or what you're into - there's something for you. I've had the chilaquiles before with chicken which was great and yesterday did the eggs benedict with crab cakes - perfectly cooked! The scones are small but delicious with the jam + clotted cream combo. A side of crispy bacon was the cherry on top! The interior of the place was really cute and on a sunny day was warm and inviting. Will definitely come back again sometime.
It was my first time at little hen and my experience was mixed. Loved the decor and ambiance of the restaurant and the service was amazing!.. we had the sweetest waitress who went above and beyond to accommodate us. So about the food… we went for brunch and i feel all our dishes were just ok. No one at the table went “ omg this is amazing!” We had the eggs benedict, salmon avocado toast, omelette, pancakes and scones. The only thing that we really loved were the scones and coffee!.. that was good. Good place for getting your Instagram fix!😄
I went on the coldest day and it was still bustling so that shows alot about their reputation. My group of four did make a reservation-if not, it looked like a long wait. The food was very average and my eggs (whites)were a bit undercooked. My friend had switched a meat option and the waitress didn't tell her it was an upcharge for the item. The place is indeed very picturesque but extremely small. I paid around $35 after tax and tip for a hot chocolate and Eggs Benedict so slightly pricy but average at a place like this in the city.
We went here for brunch the food and drinks are great & amazing but the only thing we don't like is our server, I think she's having a bad day but please don't pass your bad mood to us we're being nice customers especially we're celebrating my girlfriends birthdays.
I called to say that we were going to be 15 mins late, the manager told me over thz phone that the 15 mins will be took off the minutes we will be sitting at the restaurant. He explained if the sitting was 1h30 mins- then we will be sitting 1h15 mins only. I have never heard this in my whole life, going out in all type of restaurant. So, the first impression was bad. When we arrived, they sat us in the middle of the restaurant, we were 3, with higher seat and lower seats not all the chairs were the same high. It was quitze inconfortable so we asked the server to be moved to the 3 seats next to the window. She came back and told us that they had reservations so they cannot move us. I said but when doing a reservation can we choose the exact tables ? She said I don't know. So, I didn't understand the situation. I insisted and said we are 3, you put on a table od 4 we just would like another table of 4 and next to the window. The server finally moved us after long conversation. It was a morning and we really didn't need all this waste of time and energy. The food was fine. They also charged us for tap water. Overall a 50/50 experience.
Please, please do not go to this place! Don’t be fooled by the concept of “flowers and brunch.” Today I went with my friends, excited to try it out. They ordered the truffle huevos rotos with churrasco, and when the dish arrived, it looked like someone else’s leftovers. You could literally count the tiny scraps of meat mixed with the fries. The steak tasted old, the truffle fries were unsalted, the egg whites were undercooked, and the so-called “truffle” was just a chunk that looked like a mushroom tossed on top. We’ve visited countless restaurants in the city—both good and bad—and never have we encountered food of such poor quality. This dish was $32! In this city, you can find truly high-quality meals at far better places for that price. To be clear, the service was impeccable. Our waitress apologized sincerely and was extremely kind—she even tried speaking with the manager. Unfortunately, the manager seemed uninterested, which speaks volumes. In my opinion, if you’re going to open a restaurant, put passion into it. Charge what you will, but deliver food that matches the price—food that makes people want to come back. The service and ambiance were great, but that alone does not justify such poor food. Think twice before coming here
