Nancy's Whiskey Pub Albee Square Reviews
It’s hard to describe how special Nancy Whiskey Pub is. I stumbled in one late night when everything else was closing and saw WWE on the TV. I figured I’d grab one last beer — little did I know it would become my favorite bar in the city. The bartenders are incredible and make you feel like a regular from day one. The food’s great, and the late-night menu has saved me more than once. Big shoutout to Alec, Jen, Tommy, Erin, and even the cook, Alex — some of the best people you’ll meet in NYC.
We looked up “best dive bar in the area” and we were NOT disappointed! Great hole in the wall bar with good prices as friendly bartenders
Alec is so kind and welcoming, he makes you feel right at home without being pushy. I consider this a must stop on my next trip to NYC!
You’ve got to try their burgers so around really great bar food and drink are great too. Lively and friendly crowd.
If you’re in this area - please come here if you like a dive bar. What a cute place to sit and have a drink! The frozen frose… get it! And get a floater on top! You won’t be disappointed! We didn’t eat here but what we saw, we weren’t disappointed! The bartender was extremely friendly! Will definitely come back when we visit and are in the area!
This bar is a National Treasure. I admire the owner for preserving this perfect dive bar for New York and the rest of us who get to visit whenever we get the chance. For those reviewers who pick at its flaws, you are missing the point. I can only say it’s eccentricities is what makes the bar so great. When you step in this bar, You have no doubt that you are among friends and like-minded individuals from all walks of life. It’s not for everyone and maybe that’s why I like it so much. I just wish my favorite bartender Kat was still there! And finally, I watched tens of thousands of costumed New Yorkers of all ages parade through the Village last night safely and happily. NYC is still the greatest city! Long may she run!
Nancy Whiskey: Even the name is cool. A solid no-frills dive bar that's been on the corner for a half century. Top notch service by Erin the bartender. This is a burger and fries joint, get them I recommend. Not too many place like this in Manhattan. A high point of your Tribeca visit.
It’s the ideal place to hide from the elements and grab a bite before heading back out into the madness. Since I stopped by with a buddy in January, I’ve missed this place. The warmth of the bartender and how ice-cold my beer was. The food is standard pub grub so if it doesn’t blow your mind, maybe one of the many types of hot sauces will behind the bar. I’m looking forward to finding myself here again so I can return.
Cool bar in Tribeca. It seemed to have a lot of regulars, so I would say it's a neighborhood bar. The crowd was diverse. Melissa, the bartender was very nice and welcoming. The prices are very good here. They also have a Shuffleboard table. I had the Jalapeño Poppers. The breading was too thick so I ended up eating the Jalapeño and some of the cheese with the sauce that comes on the side. Melissa was nice enough to not charge me for them, which wasn't my intention, when I mentioned how thick the breading was. The people at the bar were friendly. It's a comfortable atmosphere. If you happen to be in Tribeca, I recommend that you stop by. I might go back and try their 🍤 Shrimp Basket.
Great burger 🍔! Wings were eh ok. We ordered a few items pulled pork with onion rings, a bacon cheese burger with fries, and some buffalo wings. The prices were reasonable and the spot is a bit of a hole in wall. The Burger was the beat I have tasted in a very long while. The fries and onion rings were tasty and crunchy 😋 I will definitely be back and bring my daughter shes such a foodie and this place has burgers that will hit the spot!
Ordered a vodka soda and the soda is flat “sorry the bar is from 1963” So you don’t get new C02 once in a while what the hell? lol Grilled cheese the night before was excellent so was the c02 last night ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Very poor service .Bar tender never hear customer what they want to say and just yelling at customer .hello Nancy whiskey pub you are not providing free drinks to anyone.... “He has a very abrasive personality.”
