Norm's Pizza Albee Square Reviews
I have severe nut, sesame seed, and seafood allergies and the staffer at Norm’s, Monty, was so thoughtful and respectful of my allergies! When I went, Norm’s doesn’t use any of allergens in their pizza. The crust was thin and light, perfectly NY style proportions, and solid ingredients. We got cheese and their ricotta lemon flavor. Always love safe and good food, and friendly staffers. Thanks!
Tried yesterday but the line was so big and the place is small. So went back today. Holy smokes!! Pizza is delicious. Every bite was better than the next. I got four different slices to try with my wife. Cheese, pepperoni, meat, lovers, and mushroom. Wow, every single one. Staff was friendly and pizza was fast and really reasonably priced. Definitely the spot in Brooklyn.
LOVED that Margherita. Sauce was delicious and enough to not be "dry". Great balance of flavors for the cheese ratio, and I've overlooked fresh basil in the past (usually not into full big scattered leaves). Never again to be neglected: Norm's minced basil about the slice = hella delicious. Vodka slice was Sold Out. Our group also tried Norm's cheese, pepperoni and supreme slices in store just to taste. We walked out with more, a big full box of variety to walk back to the hotel. Super happy about Norm's service too. Extremely informative and encouraging guy running the front. Constant flow of guests in the door until the second he closed. Glad to have visited Norm's with guests in from Kansas City and Boston, first timers to NY. Great first slice experience. Know: minimal indoor seating; many benches and picnic tables steps away outdoors.
The pizza hit the spot. Plenty of flavor in the sauce and they don't skimp on the toppings. I've had a mushroom topped slice in other places with a few thin fungi on top but these were plentiful chonky bois. The crust has room for improvement but service was prompt and polite. Will definitely swing through for a quick slice again in the future.
Good day, I recently visited this pizza shop right off the court houses on Adam street. I can honestly say that I didn’t like the entirety of the experience. My main concerns is that this pizza place has no bathrooms for customers, the seating is uncomfortable especially if you’re a big guy or girl. They have no trays for you to put your desired items and sit to eat properly. The cheese that they use for the pizza is not high quality, it turns black once they reheat the pizza. This place feels like a rip off from Upside pizza chain.
Tragically disappointing slice of pizza that tasted more like a dry piece of garlic bread. It was way too heavy on the garlic oil flavor, and not much positives to say about it. I would’ve been more gracious if it didn’t cost the same as every other amazing slice pizzerias. Probably the worst slice I’ve had in nyc
The smell is amazing but the pizza is over priced and the tomato sauce is acidic. It taste like a blend of sauce & the crust isn’t flavorful.
We have ordered pizza from Norm's many times. This is the 2nd time I'm writing to complain. Normally, this is a solid place to order from. It is pricy but good. Yesterday we ordered and vodka pie was completely unacceptable. Whoever was doing the sauce and cheese as clearly in a rush and doesn't really care about making pizza. The sauce is completely missing from a large part of the pie. I don't see how anyone could make this mistake. It's like they weren't even looking at the pie when they were making it. The slices we did eat were tasty but no one wanted to eat the slices that were mostly cooked crust with nothing on it. Super disappointed. There is no real excuse for such a crappy pie. The other pizza we got, pepperoni, was fine. Not perfect but good. Pepperoni was maybe a little on the burnt side. Again, it was fine. Both tasted good but the vodka pie was a joke.
Pizza is great. However this place has repeatedly screwed us over with delivery. They accept orders and simply don’t deliver them. Most egregiously, they confirmed our large $200 order for our New Year’s Eve party in the morning, and then when the 8 pm order hadn’t arrived by around 9, we tried to call and they had already closed for the night. Never contacted us or anything… and didn’t refund us until we had to spend 20 minutes on with door dash. Pretty shady behavior out of this spot, and again, it was not the first time. Shame on us, I guess. Others beware.
